The final whistle goes! Bayern are through to the knockout stages!
90' +1
We are into the first minute of an additional three, and Bayern have two attempts to get their second! Firstly, Ribery is unable to find space to shoot after being put in one-on-one by Kroos, and then Lahm sees his rather tame shot parried by Kozacik.
89'
Weiser is played into space down the right flank but his attempted pass to Mandzukic is intercepted by the Plzen defence. That could have been quite the introduction for him!
87'
M. Weiser enters the game and replaces M. Götze.
M. Bakoš enters the game and replaces S. Tecl.
Bakos, who has only been on the pitch a matter of seconds, races in behind Martinez and closes in on the ball inside the area. The Spaniard is tight to him and the striker tumbles to ground. He appeals for a penalty but the referee is unmoved.
86'
M. Pospíšil enters the game and replaces M. Ďuriš.
85'
The delivery is good and it eventually falls to Rajtoral at the back post. He bides his time before curling a cross back to the far side but it is chested back into the arms of Neuer by the Bayern defence.
84'
Martinez concedes a needless free kick for a shove on Horvath deep in the Bayern half. Can Plzen use this to their advantage?
81'
BAYERN SHOULD HAVE TWO!! Martinez slips the ball into Gotze and the Germany international rounds Kozacik but his touch takes him too wide and the keeper is able to recover. Instead of shooting he attempts to find Mandzukic in the middle but Cisovsky is back to make a vital interception.
79'
Plzen have frustrated Bayern practically all evening but now, in the closing stages, the game is really starting to open up. The crowd have been fantastic and the home fans may still be harbouring hope of a late equaliser.
78'
JUST WIDE!! Mandzukic is again allowed a free header inside the area, but this one is much more difficult and the striker is unable to divert it on target.
Minute
Description
77'
TECL MUST SCORE!! But he misses! Petrzela slides a tantalising ball into the area but Tecl is unable ot adjust his feet in time to tap in to the empty net.
76'
GOOD SAVE!! Horvath sprays a brilliant pass up to Tecl and the striker cuts onto his right foot before thumping an effort towards the far corner. Neuer has to get down low to his left and parries the ball away!
74'
Plzen are certainly not going to succumb to defeat here and they are continuing to try and get at Bayern. Tecl is fed down the channel but Van Buyten is on hand to make an important sliding challenge.
73'
A vital challenge! The Bayern defence get stretched and Kolar carries the ball into the area. He gets his head up to try and pick out a team-mate but who is back there to make the important challenge? Mandzukic!
71'
R. Řezník enters the game and replaces R. Hubník.
70'
Hubnik is withdrawn as Pavel Vrba clearly does not want a man on a yellow card marking Gotze in the wide areas. A wise decision from the coach, and some fresh legs may just do the trick.
69'
P. Horváth gets yellow.
68'
The combination of Petrzela and Rajtoral continues to be Plzen's main threat, but once more Bayern just about manage to keep them at bay. Having broken the deadlock they will be keen to add to their tally shortly.
65'
M. Mandžukić has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by P. Lahm.
THE ANSWER IS NO! MANDZUKIC SCORES!! Lahm bends a great diagonal cross into the box and Cisovsky allows the big striker to peel away from him. Mandzukic uses the space to power a header back across goal and into the far corner.
64'
STAT: Bayern have scored in each of their last 34 matches in all competitions. Will that run be coming to an end tonight?
62'
D. Kolář gets yellow.
Time is beginning to run out for Pep Guardiola's men, but with Manchester City currently beating CSKA Moscow 4-1 a draw would be enough to see them through.
60'
What a block from Van Buyten! Petrzela gets forward down the right and sends the ball into the area. It rolls all the way through to the back post where the Bayern centre-back narrowly beats Duris to the ball.
59'
M. Mandžukić enters the game and replaces T. Müller.
Javi Martínez enters the game and replaces B. Schweinsteiger.
A double change for Bayern as Martinez and Mandzukic replace Schweinsteiger and Muller. Can the big Croatian provide the difference?
57'
Hubnik has to be careful! The left-back just went crashing through the back of Gotze but does not pick up his second yellow card. Maybe his next bad challenge will bring that about.
56'
Ribery should score!! The Frenchman was played through on goal down the left and he had time to pick his spot, but the keeper stayed big and got a hand to his shot. Great save from Kozacik.
55'
Brilliant stuff from Horvath! The midfielder rolled the ball past Schweinsteiger before swinging a cross into the box. Rajtoral flicked it on but Van Buyten was in place to deal with it.
53'
Another important block for Plzen, this time from Prochazka! Rafinha slid a great ball up to Gotze and his cutback was eventually loosed at goal by Ribery. The Czech centre-back flung out a leg and managed to stop the effort from reaching his keeper.
52'
SO CLOSE!! A corner from the near side is flicked towards the back post by Van Buyten. Muller reads it and stretches a leg to add the finishing touch but it is just out his reach and the ball drops agonisingly wide of the post.
51'
Petrzela allows Ribery past him far too easily just outside the area but once more Cisovsky is in the right place at the right time to stop the cross from finding a white shirt.
49'
WHAT A CLEARANCE!! Some brilliant Bayern movement ends with Muller feeding Lahm with a diagonal ball into the box. The visitors' captain brings it udner control and slides the ball past Kozacik, only to see Cisovsky slide in and clear it behind for a corner.
48'
Plzen are clearly maintaining their gameplan of remaining compact and getting bodies back to frustrate Bayern in their attempts to break them down. There is enough talent in this Bayern squad to unlock them, the question is whether they can do so in the coming 45 minutes.
46'
The second half is underway!
45' +1
The half-time whistle goes!
45'
Muller's movement should be better there! Had he gambled and made a short dart forward he could have got on the end of Rafinha's cross, but instead the ball goes all the way through for a throw in.
44'
Neuer judges when to come off his line extremely well, beating Petrzela to Horvath's brilliant ball over the top and heading away the danger.
42'
Horava... blocked! Plzen break at speed down the right through Petrzela but his cross into the area is headed away by Van Buyten. The Belgian's clearance falls to the feet of Horava but he is unable to guide an effort on target to worry Neuer.
41'
A slip from Van Buyten almost allows Tecl through on goal with no one left to beat, but the Belgian uses his experience to ensure he does not let the ball get past him.
39'
What a chance! Alaba makes a great overlapping run and receives the ball in the box. Muller is waiting in the middle for a simple finish but the Austrian loses his footing upon looking up and allows the ball to run out of play for a goal kick.
38'
Tecl finds space in the channel between Alaba and Contento but is unable to work Neuer with his cross-cum-shot on the byeline. A good close to the half for Plzen, this.
36'
Plzen go close twice! Petrzela dribbles across the top of the box but watches his shot fly over the roof of the net. Moments later the hosts get the ball in the box and Kolar rises above Alaba to meet it, but he fails to divert his header on target.
35'
A brilliant run from Muller causes havoc in the Plzen defence and he cuts back before squaring to Kroos in space. The Germany international takes a few touches before pulling the trigger, but Kozacik manages to hold it at the second time of asking.
34'
Yet again the sheer number of bodies back for Plzen halts Bayern in their attempts to find a way through on goal. If the hosts can get to half time with the game scoreless they will no doubt be the happier of the two sides.
32'
R. Hubník gets yellow.
Hubnik's frustration at being beaten yet again results in him receiving the first yellow card of the game.
30'
Good work from the keeper! Gotze's deep cross runs all the way through to Alaba and he takes a touch before squaring the ball across the face of goal. Kozacik reads it well and manages to hold onto the cross with Muller lurking behind him, hoping for a tap in.
29'
That is a poor challenge from Prochazka as he scythes Ribery down at the byeline as the Frenchman was too quick for him. Can Kroos supply a better delivery from the resultant free kick?
27'
Rajtoral is almost caught out as he loses the ball in the Bayern half and the visitors break through Ribery. The Frenchman slides a pass up for the run of Lahm but Kozacik races out to gather the ball before the Germany international can reach it.
25'
The Bavarians are certainly improving in the final third but once more things become quite congested in the area and the keeper is able to gather Schweinsteiger's cross from the byeline.
24'
Well wide! Bayern move the ball out to Gotze on the right and he comes inside of Hubnik before laying the ball off to Kroos, however, his shot is wild.
23'
The hosts are certainly doing their best to try and restrict the space for Bayern to operate in inside the final third, but you sense it will be difficult for them to maintain that all evening. Their weakest point so far looks to be their left-back, Hubnik.
21'
That is good midfield play from Horvath, making a number of challenges to break apart the Bayern play before being fouled himself by Muller upon regaining possession.
20'
The Plzen fans are enjoying themselves tonight! They even cheer what is a truly awful cross from Hubnik, simply because it shows the kind of intent that they want to see.
18'
The Plzen defence were the embodiment of patience there! Schweinsteiger was just toying with the ball inside the area but no one dived in with an attempt to win the ball. Eventually Horvath drops back and manages to take possession away before the Bayern man could get a shot away.
16'
OFF THE POST!! Schweinsteiger manages to find space in the centre of the box and Gotze picks him out with a driven cutback. The midfielder's first-time effort looks destined for the far corner but comes back off the woodwork and is cleared away.
15'
STAT: Bayern have won their last eight Champions League games and need one more victory to equal Barcelona's competition record of nine set in 2002-03.
13'
Plzen are now camped back in their own half and are inviting pressure form the visitors. Ribery sees a shot blocked but Bayern work the ball back out to Alaba and the left-back thumps a shot at goal. He loses his footing but manages to keep his effort on target, but the keeper manages to stop it from finding the net somewhat unorthodoxly.
11'
GOOD SAVE!! Bayern have a free kick 20 yards from goal which Alaba bends towards the top corner. Kozacik shuffles across his line and leaps to his left to pluck the ball out of the sky.
10'
It certainly looks as though it is Muller occupying the role as lone striker in these early stages, with Gotze primarily operating from the right. No false nine at the moment, then.
8'
Gotze again pulls wide on the right and he combines with Ribery to find the Frenchman in space. His delivery is deflected into the arms of Kozacik but his clearance hands possession straight back to the visitors. This time they probe down the left, but Muller is unable to pick out the corner with his effort from just inside the area.
6'
Great pressing from Plzen! The hosts are not allowing Bayern much time on the ball and they manage to regain possession inside the Bavarian half. The ball is rolled to Duris but his effort is disappointing, trickling comfortably into Neuer's hands. Nonetheless, it's a shot on target.
4'
Gotze pulls wide on the right and finds sapce from which to send the ball into the area. He loses his footing, though, and rolls a poor pass straight to the first defender. We will put that down to being his first involvement in the game.
3'
Claim for a penalty! A good ball over the top from Rajtoral is chased down by Tecl. He gets in front of Contento and looks sure to get on the end of it before being dragged to ground. He is sure he should have a penalty but the referee is not convinced. Let off for Bayern there!
2'
Good start for Plzen as Rajtoral races forward down the right and drives towards the byeline. He looks to stand the ball up at the back post but it falls on the roof of the net. Still, the home fans were buoyed by that!

We are underway in Plzen!
Hello and welcome to tonight's LIVE text commentary on the Champions League Group D clash between reigning champions Bayern Munich and Czech outfit Viktoria Plzen. My name is Tom Webber and the Doosan Arena is our destination for this evening's fixture. Lets hope for a corker!
The Bavarian giants thrashed this evening's opponents 5-0 when they met a fortnight ago and another win tonight could see them book their place in the next round. Should die Roten secure all three points tonight they will qualify as long as CSKA Moscow do not beat Manchester City.
There is no David Limbersky, who was absent at the weekend due to illness, for the hosts, while Jerome Boateng and Javi Martinez only make Pep Guardiola's bench despite being fit. Diego Contento will start in the heart of defence while Mario Gotze looks set to be deployed in attack alone. Will the Spanish coach ask him to play as the false nine, like he did with Lionel Messi at Barcelona?
Bayern currently have a 100 per cent record in the competition and are bidding to become the first ever club to retain the Champions League trophy. Qualification tonight, with a tricky trip to Moscow and a meeting with Manchester City still to come, would be a huge step towards realising that goal.
The Bavarian giants were victorious the last time they visited Plzen, earning a 1-0 win in the 1971-72 Cup Winners' Cup. Current club president Uli Hoeness was part of that team.
The teams are out on the pitch and the famous Champions League anthem rings around the stadium. The visiting fans are in good voice, too! Kick off will be upon us shortly.
HALF TIME - Plzen 0-0 Bayern: The Czech's have done a good job of containing the visitors so far this evening, and have even threatened on the break. Guardiola's side have enjoyed a lot of possession but, bar a Schweinsteiger effort that rattled the post, they have not created many chances to really worry Kozacik. Stay tuned for the second half!
The teams are making their way back onto the pitch so the second half will be upon us imminently.
FULL TIME - Plzen 0-1 Bayern: Mandzukic's goal provides the Bavarian's with their ninth consecutive Champions League win, booking their place in the next round of the tournament in the process. Credit to the hosts, they fought hard and were well drilled but were undone by that single goal.
That is it from me, Tom Webber, for this evening. Have a great night!
