Hildebrand confidently collects a Lampard corner, but again Schalke don't keep the ball for very long. The hosts have it in defence and are just seeing out the final moments now.
90' +2
Cahill cuts out a ball from Kolasinac looking for Meyer, and he plays it to Willian. It's eventually worked out to De Bruyne on the left who goes back to Lampard, and the midfielder plays a long ball over for Ba, but the striker knows he is offside and doesn't go for it.
90'
Meyer is penalised for an exuberant challenge on Cahill, and Chelsea can keep the ball for a bit longer as the board goes up; we will have four added minutes.
89'
Both players look OK to carry on for the last few moments and play resumes with Chelsea in possession.
88'
There's a clash in midfield between Ramires and Jones after the two challenge hard for the ball in the air. The Schalke man is on his feet but the Chelsea midfielder is still down receiving attention.
86'
Meyer breaks forward and gets into the box before driving a shot for goal, but Terry slides across brilliantly to block the effort and put it out for a corner. The centre-backs have been excellent for the hosts tonight.
84'
That's 10 goals without reply in three Champions League matches for Chelsea. They've responded well to that poor defeat at Newcastle.
83'
D. Ba has scored a goal for Chelsea! Assist by F. Lampard.
BA MAKES IT THREE!! That'll help the confidence!! Chelsea are home and dry as Ba wins it in the air to knock down for Willian. The midfielder loops it to Lampard on the edge of the box, and the substitute lifts an excellent ball over the top for Ba, who hits a first-time left-footed volley into the corner. Lovely goal.
82'
Kolasinac sets Meyer away down the right, and the midfielder darts into the penalty area but Cahill produces a perfectly-timed challenge to win the ball back. He had to get that one right!
81'
F. Lampard enters the game and replaces Oscar.
Chelsea make their final change of the match as the superb Oscar comes off to a standing ovation, with Frank Lampard on to replace him for the last 10 minutes.

Description
80'
That's poor from Ba!! Ramires steals it in midfield and slots a ball through for Ba, who labours to take a touch and looks to bend it around the goalkeeper, but it's a very tame effort and Hildebrand saves easily. That was the shot of a striker lacking in match time.
79'
Ba catches Neustadter late in the middle of the park, meaning his first contribution to the match is two fouls in quick succession.
78'
K. De Bruyne enters the game and replaces A. Schürrle.
Ba is penalised for a foul on Matip, and we have yet another substitution as Kevin De Bruyne replaces Schurrle. It almost feels like both sides are just going through the motions for the final ten minutes or so now.
77'
D. Ba enters the game and replaces S. Eto'o.
S. Kolašinac enters the game and replaces K. Boateng.
There will be no hat-trick, then, for Eto'o as he comes off to be replaced by Demba Ba. Meanwhile, the ineffective Boateng has also made his last contribution as Sead Kolasinac comes on.
76'
A. Uchida gets yellow.
Uchida gets forward down the right but Eto'o tracks all the way back to poach the ball. He sets Schurrle away before the Schalke full-back takes the German out and earns a booking.
75'
Boateng fires in a cross from the right-hand side but it goes straight to Cech. The Ghana international hasn't had the best of evenings, really.
73'
Willian has the ball out on the right and tries to slidea a pass into the middle, but it goes straight to Neustadter. The midfielder doesn't give up, though, and chases back to put Jones under pressure and put it out for a throw.
72'
J. Jones gets yellow.
Schalke are the ones enjoying a strong period of possession, now, but they can't get through and eventually Cahill cuts out a pass. Chelsea break quickly and Willian is free down the right before Jones practically body-checks the Brazilian to earn himself a booking.
70'
Cahill returns a Hildebrand goal kick with interest and Oscar is through on goal. The flag goes up for offside, although the midfielder can't resist lifting it over the goalkeeper and into the net anyway.
69'
All the noise is still coming from the away end. The travelling fans are determined to enjoy themselves, and why not? It's reasonably calm around the ground, though, as Chelsea feel the job is done.
68'
The hosts are just sitting back a bit now. Neustadter and Clemens try to link up near the Chelsea box but are rapidly closed down and Oscar gets the ball away.
67'
M. Meyer enters the game and replaces C. Fuchs.
Here comes some attacking talent for Schalke in the form of 18-year-old Max Meyer. Can he inspire a comeback?
65'
So, with 25 minutes to go Chelsea are well in control of affairs at Stamford Bridge. Schalke need some more potency in midfield as they are now struggling to get through to create any chances.
64'
Great work from Eto'o, who finds himself isolated on the left after a good ball from Schurrle but manages to hold play up until support arrives. Sadly for him, though, his hard work is undone as Ramires gives the ball straight to Neustadter.
63'
Schalke win a corner and Fuchs swings it in with his left foot, but Azpilicueta powers a header away from the near post. It comes back into the area but Terry is there to clear this time.
62'
C. Clemens enters the game and replaces J. Draxler.
It's Draxler who comes off as Christian Clemens is introduced. He was the visitors' biggest threat but that early yellow card meant he was unlikely to be risked for 90 minutes by Keller.
61'
Draxler lifts the ball over the top for Boateng, but Cahill shows brilliant pace and strength to see him off the ball and he just keeps it in play to maintain possession for Chelsea. Meanwhile, there's activity on the Schalke bench...
60'
Azpilicueta does really well to steal the ball from Draxler on the flank. The Spain international has been superb at left-back for the hosts tonight.
58'
HILDEBRAND SAVES FROM SCHURRLE!! The German really wants a goal, but is denied by the Schalke goalkeeper again as he cuts inside before drilling a low shot from the edge of the box. Hildebrand parries it unconvincingly and Willian chases the rebound but ends up fouling Aogo.
57'
Neustadter is penalised after bringing down Mikel in midfield. The Nigerian sensibly sends the ball back to Terry so Chelsea can take stock and control possession.
56'
That of course came moments after Draxler nearly levelled things. It's a long way back for Keller's side now, who have to find a goal soon if they want anything from this match.
55'
That's a far more satisfying goal for Eto'o, you would imagine. Could this start a run of form for the Cameroonian?
54'
S. Eto'o has scored a goal for Chelsea! Assist by Willian.
ETO'O DOUBLES CHELSEA'S LEAD!! Oscar squares the ball into midfield and Willian poaches it from in front of Fuchs before darting forward. He then flicks the ball out to Eto'o with a superbly-timed pass, and the striker takes a touch before hammering it low across goal and inside the post.
53'
That prompted a real roar from the travelling Schalke fans who, to be fair, haven't stopped making noise all night.
52'
GREAT SAVE BY CECH!! Fuchs fires a long throw across midfield and it's worked out to Draxler, who cuts on to his left foot before firing an effort across goal from the edge of the box, but Cech saves superbly and turns it behind.
51'
Ivanovic gets in trouble and Boateng steals the ball. He pushes to the left before trying another cheeky backheel which, once again, goes nowhere near a Schalke player and the hosts get the ball back.
50'
Oscar works hard to chase down Fuchs on the wing and slide in to put the ball out of play. Mourinho has been constantly talking about the work rate from his creative players and so will be impressed with that.
49'
Willian, Ramires and Ivanovic play the ball around in a nice triangle before sending it back to Cahill. It looks like the hosts want more goals but aren't going to rush about it.
48'
Draxler is down and the physios are on. It looks like the Schalke number 10 took a knock to the ankle, but he should be alright to continue after going off for more treatment.
47'
It's a measured start from Chslea, who try and keep possession before pressing forward. Ivanovic looks for Eto'o with an inside pass but it hits a defender and comes back to him.
46'
The hosts get the second half underway as action resumes in west London.
45'
Slightly bizarre scenes as the referee stops play after a Schalke boot goes missing! The visitors get a drop ball and give it back to the hosts as we enter one added minute at the end of the half.
44'
Cahill looks very composed at the back as he collects a long ball from Hildebrand and flicks it to Terry. Chelsea look much more solid at the back.
43'
Draxler plays it out to Fuchs, who gets right up to the corner flag before winning a throw off Ivanovic. He takes a long throw himself but the ball goes straight into the outstretched arms of Cech.
41'
Ivanovic is fouled by Draxler and Chelsea have a good chance to whip in a free kick from the right-hand side. Willian swings it in but it goes too near Hildebrand and the goalkeeper plucks it out of the air with ease.
40'
The hosts are well on top now and controlling possession. Ivanovic is getting plenty of space on the right-hand side, and if his delivery had been more accurate Chelsea could have had some really good chances.
39'
Eto'o has another go! Mikel floats a superb ball over the top for Schurrle in the box, but Howedes heads away. It goes straight back to the hosts, though, and Eto'o fires a first-time shot from 20 yards which Hildebrand saves low.
38'
Hildebrand is teased by the fans as he runs up to take another kick forward. It really was a comically awful moment from the Schalke shot-stopper.
36'
Ivanovic tries to swing in an early cross but Jones gets back to clear. Boateng races to pick up the loose ball but Schurrle charges in to put the ball out of play and the midfielder on the floor.
35'
Danger for the hosts as Draxler charges into the area and Cahill nearly brings him down. It comes out to Fuchs, though, who drives a shot straight at Cech from the edge of the box.
34'
Chelsea are just allowing the hosts to have some possession here; probably just seeing out the lead until the break, now.
32'
Schalke had stood so firm and that's a massive blow, especially for Hildebrand, who made a great save earlier.
31'
S. Eto'o has scored a goal for Chelsea!
ETO'O SCORES!! IT'S A FREAK GOAL!! Hildebrand has had a complete howler here. The goalkeeper has the ball at his feet and retreats to take a run up. Eto'o charges in and the goalkeeper rushes to kick, but the ball hits the outstretched leg of the Chelsea striker and rolls straight into the net. Very bizarre, but the hosts lead!
29'
Eto'o looks to get on the end of a long ball but Howedes cuts it out easily. The high ball isn't coming off at the moment for Chelsea, who are struggling to find a way through the visitors.
28'
Good chance for Chelsea after Oscar slides a superb ball through for Ivanovic. The defender gets to the line again but once again his delivery goes to a man in green and Schalke get the ball way.
26'
That's sloppy from Ramires as he gives away a throw to Schalke. Aogo looks for Szalai in the box with a cross but Chelsea get it clear.
25'
Azpilicueta looks for Oscar but the Brazilian is dispossessed. It's lofted forward and Szalai goes up with Terry but ends up fouling the Chelsea defender, and normal service is resumed as the hosts have possession.
23'
Halfway through the first half, then, and it's a much more even contest. Chelsea are enjoying more possession but Schalke look very dangerous going forward, especially through Draxler.
22'
SCHURRLE GOES CLOSE!! This is better from Chelsea as Willian squares the ball to the German, who works it on to his right before bending an effort just wide of Hildebrand's far post.
21'
It's a disappointing corner, though, as the ball fails to clear the first man and Schalke get it away. Chelsea still have the ball and are growing into this game now.
20'
GREAT SAVE FROM HILDEBRAND!! Schurrle hits a superb effort from the free kick, driving the ball towards the top left-hand corner, but Hildebrand gets across brilliantly to parry it behind for a corner to the hosts.
19'
J. Draxler gets yellow.
Ivanovic looks for Schurrle with a long diagonal ball but Uchida heads it to Draxler. The midfielder miscontrols, though, and Azpilicueta steals the ball before being fouled, prompting a booking for Draxler.
17'
Matip heads away a long ball forward from Azpilicueta, but Chelsea keep the ball. This is the best spell of possession the hosts have had.
16'
The first quarter of an hour has definitely gone the way of the visitors, but they've failed to hit the target with four shots so far. Draxler is finding all sorts of room between the lines; Chelsea can't afford him so much space.
15'
Boateng tries a cheeky flick out to Uchida but gives it away to Azpilicueta, and Chelsea break through Willian. The Brazilian gives it to Eto'o, who cuts on to his right to try a shot from the edge of the box, but sees it blocked.
13'
Ucihda plays a long diagonal ball forward looking for Szalai, but Cahill comes across well to head it back where it came from.
12'
The home fans try to drown out the noise of the visiting fans with a chant to rouse their side, who really haven't got going yet.
11'
Chelsea get a chance to break forward with Willian, who spreads the ball wide to Ivanovic. The defender cuts inside and looks to give it back to the Brazilian, but the pass is overhit and the visiting defence tidies up.
10'
The Chelsea midfield just seems to be asleep at the moment. Schurrle is closed down on the wing and Schalke press forward again as Szalai wins a corner for the hosts, but Terry clears well.
9'
Wide from Fuchs! Mikel is caught in possession and Draxler pushes forward again before spreading wide to Fuchs, who drills an effort from distance but it goes well wide.
8'
Chelsea have a free kick in midfield but Ramires inexplicably gives it straight to Aogo. The hosts have been taken slightly aback by those two quickfire chances.
7'
Well, perhaps Keller's men aren't going to sit back, after all...
6'
WIDE FROM SZALAI!! It's Draxler again who's involved, producing an excellent driving run forward before playing the ball into the path of Szalai after a slip by Terry. The striker lets it roll across his body before driving a shot across goal, but it goes wide of the far post.
5'
SO CLOSE!! Schalke almost take a shock lead as Draxler spreads wide for Uchida in plenty of space. The full-back squares it to the edge of the box and Draxler takes a shot straight away, firing the ball just wide of Cech's post.
4'
Good work from the set piece by Chelsea as Ivanovic gets past his man and looks to pull back for Eto'o in the box, but it's cut out by Matip and Schalke clear.
3'
As expected, Schalke are sitting back and allowing Chelsea to keep most of the possession. Ramires gives away a free kick in midfield but the visiotrs surrender the ball almost immediately before Oscar drives down the right to win a throw.
2'
Good work from Schurrle, who gets out of a tight spot in midfield with some fine footwork before spreading wide to Ivanovic, but the defender can't keep the move going and ends up running the ball out for a throw.
1'
Schalke kick things off in west London as the game gets underway.
Hello and welcome to LIVE coverage of the Champions League as Chelsea host Schalke in another huge European clash at Stamford Bridge. The Blues won the reverse fixture 3-0 in Gelsenkirchen a fortnight ago, but can they do the double over the Bundesliga side tonight?
The teams have been announced so let's bring you the line-ups, starting with Jose Mourinho's men...
So, no Fernando Torres for Chelsea after the striker was ruled out with a leg injury, meaning Samuel Eto'o leads the line. Willian gets the nod in midfield as Mourinho makes six changes from the defeat to Newcastle, with Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta, John Obi Mikel and Andre Schurrle also coming in.
Jens Keller makes just one change from Schalke's 2-0 win over Hertha Berlin on Saturday, drafting Jermaine Jones into midfield in place of talented 18-year-old Max Meyer. Meanwhile, widely-praised Julian Draxler is one man Mourinho will be keeping a close eye on tonight.
The visitors may have lost convincingly to the Blues in the last round of fixtures, but they were victorious on their last visit to the English capital, registering a 2-0 win at Arsenal in October last year.
However, Chelsea have tasted defeat just once in 30 home group-stage matches in the Champions League. The saving grace for Schalke, though, is that the solitary defeat came in the Blues' last home game, when they were left stunned after a 2-1 loss against Basel.
This is, of course, a battle between the top two in Group E tonight, as both sides sit on six points, two ahead of Basel and five clear of winless Steaua Bucharest. The winner tonight will be in pole position for booking a place in the knockout stage. The loser, though, will end up in third if Basel win at home to Steaua.
Interesting pre-match words from Jose Mourinho, who just told Sky Sports Eden Hazard missed a training session so isn't featuring tonight. It's unclear, though, why the Belgium international wasn't at training. Undoubtedly we haven't heard the last of that.
We've had the Champions League anthem, so it's almost time to get started at Stamford Bridge. Who will take the spoils tonight?
That's HALF TIME at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea take a 1-0 lead into the dressing room after a freak goal from Eto'o. Schalke caused the hosts some problems but the Blues have dominated possession and looked stronger at the end of the half.
After the first 10-15 minutes, Schalke had had all the shots with four, all off target. By the end of the half both sides have had six, but Chelsea tested Hildebrand more.
In terms of possession, the Blues are dominant with 63 per cent. They found it tough to get through a solid-looking Schalke setup early on, but were getting slightly more joy as the half went on.
Schalke gradually retreated after their fine start, but still look a threat. The problem for Keller, now, is that they have to try and take control of the game to create some chances and get back into the match.
Almost time to resume at Stamford Bridge, then. Mourinho will be happy to see his side in front, but you can bet he won't be fully satisfied with the performance so far. Could we see an open second half as both sides push for goals?
It's FULL TIME at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea have picked up an easy win in the end after two goals from Eto'o and one from Ba made it 3-0, matching the result in Gelsenkirchen a fortnight ago.
It was a freak goal that opened the scoring and really changed the game. A horrible error from Hildebrand gifted Eto'o the opener after Schalke caused Chelsea some real problems in defence.
Overall, though, it's been a very good night for the Blues. Eto'o and Ba have both got on the scoresheet and, with Torres showing signs of returning to form, their strike force suddenly looks a lot more deadly.
Well, that's all from our LIVE coverage of the Champions League this evening. Chelsea stay top of Group E and Schalke remain second after Basel could only draw at home to Steaua Bucharest. Thanks for joining us, and good night!
