UNDERWAY IN HANNOVER! The hosts get us started, attacking from right to left in this half. Dortmund in all yellow.
Good afternoon and welcome to this afternoon's Bundesliga clash between Hannover and Borussia Dortmund. BVB are hoping to keep Bayern's title celebration on ice for just a little longer, as they look to consolidate second place.
Dortmund are a whopping 23 points behind champions elect Bayern, who will win the title this weekend if BVB and Schalke suffer defeat. It would be the earliest title win in the Bundesliga era.
Dortmund also have to contend with a Champions League quarter-final tie against Real Madrid, having been drawn against the Spanish giants in yesterday's draw.
Jurgen Klopp's men have lost their last two games by a 2-1 scoreline, against Gladbach and Zenit, but can they recover against a Hannover side still not safe from relegation threats.
Tayfun Korkut's men are only six points ahead of Nurnburg, who occupy 16th place and the relegation play-off spot. Nevertheless, they are unbeaten since 2010 in this fixture.
Dortmund have won their last three games against Hannover, including this season's reverse game at Signal Iduna Park, where Mario Gotze's fourth minute penalty was enough to take three points.
The sides are out at HDI Arena in Hannover. Gunter Perl is today's referee.
HT: H96 0-1 BVB - Hummels' goal on the brink of half-time separates the two sides, in what had been an average first half from the Champions League quarter-finalists. Hannover had hit the post through Stindl, can they recover in the second half?
