There is no final chance for Mexico! It ends 0-0. One point each, and what a let down for El Tri.
90' +4
Here we go! Another corner, and it's right to Pappa, who gets it clear for Guatemala.
90' +3
Motta comes out and takes a cross down. Mexico will have a couple more chances to push forward, but that was big from the goalkeeper.
90' +1
Four minutes added on. Guatemala with a goal kick launched forward.
90'
The field opened up there for a moment, but Lopez was back to foul and stop the Mexican attack. Mexico goes quick with this free kick.
89'
Guatemala made it out of its own end again and has earned a couple of throws in Mexico territory. Killing this match off nicely at the moment.
88'
E. Chinchilla enters the game and replaces M. López.
Mexico with just a couple of minutes to find the right answer here. Not a huge deal for El Tri to get only a point, but certainly will leave some doubters.
87'
J. Orozco enters the game and replaces J. dos Santos.
86'
Gio with a snap shot, he wins a corner.
Jona dos Santos again with the delivery... what a hit from Guardado, who bangs it off the bar! So close to a winner right there.
85'
Time is starting to really be an issue. Mexico hasn't gotten much closer, and Guatemala still looks up for the fight. This would be a massive point for the men in blue.
Minute
Description
83'
G. dos Santos enters the game and replaces P. Aguilar.
S. Cincotta enters the game and replaces M. Hernández.
Gio is on, and his little brother plays in another corner. Guatemala gets it part of the way out, but Mexico is back on it and knocking it around. I feel like we've been watching the same thing for half an hour... but hey, there's Pappa breaking out for Guatemala, and this is what his side needs.. a moment to have the ball and not be under fire.
82'
It looks like Gio is about to come into the match for Mexico.
80'
Mexico now with another corner. Dos Santos to serve it once again, and Guatemala survives another set play.
78'
M. Pappa enters the game and replaces C. Ruíz.
M. Hernández gets yellow.
I really don't like seeing this. The ref has pulled another yellow card, but you've let the game be played this way all along, and while that is normally a yellow card, in this match it hasn't been.
77'
Now Carlos Ruiz makes a slow walk off the pitch, with the red forcing Guatemala to bring on the fresh legs of Marco Pappa.
76'
J. Contreras gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
Contreras sees red... that's really a shame. He's been physical all night, but he picked up two bookings in the space of a couple minutes, and maybe that'll be all that Mexico needs to go ahead and take advantage.
75'
The free kick following the foul comes in and Herrera nods it down into Peralta's path, but his strike is far from pure.
74'
J. Contreras gets yellow.
Another foul on Vela... can't even keep count of the number of times Mexico's number 11 has been taken down. He goes down pretty easily rather often, but tonight he's also being hacked more than a little.
71'
Dos Santos again whipping the ball in on Mexico's 8th corner of the game. Floated to the back post, and Mexico will be upset about this! The ball comes in and there is a free hit at the back post, the rebound comes out and Aguilar went to ground, with shouts for a PENALTY! Nothing given, and it's hard to tell how right that call was.
70'
Aguilar with a run down the right finally gets behind Guatemala, but his cut-back is pushed over the line for another Mexico corner.
69'
Dos Santos whips in the free kick and Guatemala gets it clear. There is a wall of blue at the top of Guatemala's box for the last five or six minutes.
68'
Vela draws another foul.
67'
C. Esquivel enters the game and replaces J. Vázquez.
First change of the night. Esquivel on for Mexico, adding some more attacking intent as he comes on for Vasquez.
65'
Vela to strike it...and he hit the wall. Mexico still searching.
64'
Now here's a very dangerous free kick for Mexico. It's a hand ball, nothing intentional, but Mexico will get a crack from about 25 with a good angle at goal.
63'
Still plenty of time for one of these teams to find a goal. With Gio dos Santos and Marco Pappa on the respective benches, there is also some firepower to bring into the game.
62'
Vela with a curler and sends the ball just high and wide of the mark from a tough, tough angle.
61'
Layin wins a corner for Mexico. El Tri sent the last one deep, but this one is right in the middle of the box and headed wide by Ruiz.
59'
So much physical play in this match, and it's working like a charm for Guatemala so far. We're almost an hour in, still 0-0, and the Guatemalans have come out in the second half looking much more dangerous than in the first. In all honesty, neither team looks much like taking the lead, but there are plenty of mistakes to pounce on in this one.
58'
Nearly a HUGE mistake from Guatemala. Motta just scuffed his clearance and Mexico takes over. It ends with a ball clipped to the back post but Vela couldn't reach it.
57'
Herrera has his cross drift over everybody.
54'
Aguilar draws a foul. Man, no holding back from this Guatemala team. Can't believe that wasn't a booking.
51'
M. Layún gets yellow.
Layun picks up a booking. Didn't see much intent there. A foul on Layun against Ruiz maybe, but he went up to win the ball and his arm hit the forward's head. He just got carded for going up higher and winning the ball.
49'
Guatemala off to a good start in the second half. Much like in the first if we're being honest, and Mexico ended the first half with 80% of the ball.
47'
Early foul given against Mexico. Guatemala with the chance to float one in.
46'
Here we go with the second half off an running.
45' +2
Vela not fouled, but wins a corner late on the first half.
45'
P. Aguilar gets yellow.
Aguilar picks up a booking. Might be another sign of how frustrated this Mexico team is right now, but the officials need to get a hand on some of this, and a few more cards might well be needed.
44'
Maybe frustration for Mexico, a couple of pop shots from deep that really have no chance.
42'
Whatever the tactics, Guatemala has held this at 0-0, and we're nearing halftime. This is a team that came in with a very clear idea of what it wanted to do.
40'
Now Peralta is fouled.. you catching the theme here?
38'
J. Aparicio gets yellow.
No joke, from the free kick, Vela touches to Dos Santos, who touches back to Vela... who is immediately fouled and the defender handed a yellow.
37'
Vela is being fouled just about every time he touches the ball. Be it hands on him or clipping the ankles, he's getting a ton of attention.
36'
Mexico wins another corner. Great tackle from Hernandez to stop Aguilar's run forward, but he's given up the set play.
34'
GUARDADO!!!!! Oh wow... great play from Mexico, but the saved is brilliant from Motta.
32'
The best spell on the ball Guatemala has had comes to an end with a lazy pass and without anything to trouble Ochoa. Aside from the one early chance, Guatemala hasn't really threatened.
29'
Mexico tries to launch one in to Herrera, who climbs over the back of a defender and is called for a foul.
27'
Guatemala hasn't looked all that dangerous on the counter, but the team has earned a corner here. He'll take his time with it, but these are the chances that Guatemala needs.... foul called in the box on Lalin and that kills it.
25'
Mexico flowing well right now. Looking for a way through. Guardado has drifted deep to pick the ball up and help move it along. Vela is just getting hacked up every time he touches the ball.
22'
Guatemala taking its time with a throw. The team in blue is going to try and take the air out of the ball as much as possible.
20'
Mexico has certainly put in some good work early to get a handle on this game. Guatemala has not backed off at all. Plenty of pressure on the ball, but it looks like another night with a CONCACAF minnow trying to keep it up against Mexico. Hard tackles are the order of the day so far, but you can already see the difference in class.
17'
Guardado skins a man but his cross has too much on it. Vela tracks it down and wins a throw for Mexico. El Tri taking some control of this one right now.
15'
Dos Santos running forward goes down, no call, and Guatemala tries to come out on the break. A bad pass kills the counter, and Mexico comes right back to win a dangerous free kick.
14'
More tough play from Guatemala. Lalin takes down Vela. Vela just pulled up in front of him and gave himself up, but a good spot for Dos Santos to serve the ball from.
12'
Dangerous there! Mexico's free kick is headed back across goal by Aguilar. Not a bad attempt from him to keep it in play and try to open something up. Good job by Guatemala to get it clear.
11'
R. Morales gets yellow.
Booking passed out to Morales. He came into Vela from behind.
10'
Jona with a hit from the top of the box.. he just couldn't keep it down. Not a flush hit on the ball.
8'
WHAT A CHANCE! Mexico with a terrible giveaway. Guatemala nearly hits on the break. Ruiz with a nice chip for Lopez who tried to lift it over Ochoa but couldn't put it on goal. What a let off.
7'
Mexico wins a corner. Herrera with a dash though to win it.
6'
It's frantic at the moment. Nothing has settled down to this moment.
5'
Good build for Mexico, looked like Vela maybe went down a bit easily there.
4'
Rough start to the match. Couple of hard fouls already.
2'
Mexico in the white kit tonight, taking on a Guatemala side rocking the all blue.

We're off and running.
Welcome in to Goal's LIVE call of Gold Cup Group C action. We bring you Guatemala vs. Mexico tonight, with our man Jon Arnold in the box on site to bring you coverage from Phoenix. Give him a follow on Twitter - @Arnoldcommajon - for even more thoughts on the match as it happens.
T&T took a 2-0 win over Cuba in the first match of the night, moving to the top of the group in the process, which likely sets up a showdown for the group in the final match against Mexico, if El Tri can take care of business tonight.
We're still a good way out from the opening kick, so stick around and we'll keep you updated.
Let's jump you into some team news. For Mexcio: Peralta and Vela up top. Herrera on the right, Vasquez and J. Dos Santos in the middle, Guardado running the left. He'll have Layun behind and overlapping him, with Maza and Reyes in the center of the defence and Aguilar on the right side. Memo Ochoa is the goalkeeper.
Just a few minutes out now. Here's the starting team for Guatemala: In goal you've got Motta, with Hernandez at left wing back and Morales on the right. Lalin, Vasquez and Lopez make up the middle three, with Ramos, Aparicio and Contreras in the midfield. Carlos Ruiz is still running up top for this team, with Minor Lopez as his partner.
There's the whistle for halftime. We're 0-0 in what has been a spirited but ugly match to this point. Guatemala will be happy, but Mexico is still searching for the right answer.
So there's another shocker from the Gold Cup. Not to make a meal of it, but that's not what Mexico was looking for. More proof that El Tri has work to do to win this competition. However, with four points from two, Mexico still in fine shape to advance from Group C.
