A. Traustason has scored a goal for Iceland! Assist by E. Bjarnason.
Assist Theódór Elmar Bjarnason
GOAL! Iceland have scored and surely won the game! Austria push everyone forward in search of a late goal, but the attack breaks down and Iceland fly forward on a fantastic counter-attack. Elmar Bjarnason sprints down the right wing before cutting inside and slotting the ball over to Traustason, who sticks out a foot and beats Almer at the near post to send his side into the last-16. What a way to win the game!
90' +3
Austria try their hardest to penetrate the Iceland penalty area after working their way down the left wing, but they're shut out and unable to do so. Fuchs is finally able to launch a ball into the middle of the box, but Ragnar Sigurdsson rises high and heads the ball out for a corner. However, the referee instead points for a goal-kick, much to the annoyance of the Austrians.
90' +1
After doing well to deal with the pressure being put on them, Iceland are finally able to break out of their own half of the pitch. Traustason darts down the left wing and holds on to the ball well before earning his side a throw-in, which is taken short and worked back to substitute, who again holds off his markers before winning his side yet another throw-in. This is exactly what they need to do for the remainder of injury time.
90'
The fourth official has indicated that there will be four minutes of added time.
89'
The ball pinballs around the Iceland box before Arnason rises high and heads it out for a corner. It's taken short and worked over to Jantscher, who beats Traustason and chips a cross over to Fuchs at the far post, but Saevarsson is there to beat the full-back to the ball at the vital moment.
88'
It's all Austria as they patiently pass the ball around and try to find a way through the sea of blue shirts camped on the edge of the Iceland penalty area. Dragovic eventually tries to chip a cross towards Janko, but it's slightly underhit and is cleared away from danger once again by Iceland's hard-working defence. Can they hold on for the last few minutes of the game?
86'
S. Ingason enters the game and replaces J. Guðmundsson.
Iceland sit deep and do well to bring a promising Austria attacking move to a disappointing end before breaking forward on a counter-attack down the left wing. Traustason twists and turns as he makes his way towards the corner flag before being tripped over by Jantscher, resulting in a free-kick for Iceland and, most importantly, a moment to breathe.
Iceland have made their final substitution of the evening, with Ingason, who, like Traustason, is also making his competitive debut, coming on to take the place of Gudmundsson for the final few moments.
84'
The ball bounces around the Iceland penalty area before reaching Traustason, who immediately blasts it out of play for a corner on the right flank. Jantscher steps up and sends a looping cross into the box, but it's poorly hit and can only find a blue shirt.
82'
H. Halldórsson gets yellow.
Traustason and Hinteregger are able to continue once again, but Halldorsson takes too long with his goal-kick and ends up receiving a yellow card for timewasting.
81'
Ouch! Traustason immediately bumps heads with Hinteregger as the two try to make contact with the ball inside the Iceland penalty area, and the clash leaves both of the players on the floor and in serious discomfort. However, it looks as if they're going to be able to continue after receiving treatment for a few moments.

Description
80'
A. Traustason enters the game and replaces K. Sigþórsson.
Iceland have made their second alteration, with Sigthorsson making way for Traustason, who comes on to make his competitive debut for his country.
79'
Baumgartlinger picks up the ball 30 yards away from the Iceland goal but is immediately clattered into by Sigthorsson, resulting in a free-kick for Austria in a very dangerous position. Alaba steps up and unleashes a looping strike, but Halldorsson is there to tip it over the crossbar with a comfortable save.
78'
J. Jantscher enters the game and replaces M. Sabitzer.
K. Árnason gets yellow.
Austria have made their final change of the night, and, unsurprisingly, it's an attacking one, with Jantscher coming on to replace Sabitzer for the final 12 minutes of the game.
Arnason and Alaba clash in the air as they battle for the ball, with the centre-back catching the Austrian in the face with his hand. The referee shows him a late yellow card before awarding a free-kick to Austria, which, understandably, they take quickly.
77'
Important header away by Skulason! Schopf picks up a loose ball over on the left flank before cutting inside and firing a dangerous cross into the middle of the penalty area. It misses Janko but almost finds Sabitzer, but at the last moment Skulason jumps in front of the ball to stop it from reaching the winger, who has looked dangerous on the right in the second half.
75'
Iceland push forward on a rare foray into the Austria half of the pitch and do well to earn themselves a corner over on the right flank. It's flung into the heart of the penalty area, where Sigthorsson is waiting patiently in front of goal, but the striker ends up missing the ball by the narrowest of margins after making a great leap into the air in an attempt to meet it.
73'
What a save by Halldorsson! Janko picks up possession on the edge of the penalty area and immediately pokes a lovely pass into the heart of the box. Schopf charges on to the ball and immediately tries to beat Halldorsson, but the goalkeeper jumps in front of the strike and parries it away from danger with a great stop.
71'
E. Bjarnason enters the game and replaces J. Böðvarsson.
Iceland have made their first change of the game, with Bodvarsson making way for Elmar Bjarnason.
70'
M. Janko gets yellow.
Janko and Ragnar Sigurdsson embark on a wrestling match on the edge of the Iceland penalty area as they wait for an Arnautovic cross to come into the box. The striker drags the centre-back to the ground and then flips him over his body, leaving the referee with no choice but to show him a yellow card.
69'
Janko goes close! Sabitzer is really enjoying himself down the right flank, and he's starting to find an incredible amount of joy against Skulason. He breaks past the full-back before swinging a lovely low cross into the penalty area, where it finds Janko. The striker beats Arnason to the ball before flicking it past Halldorsson, but it also ends up bouncing the wrong side of the post by the narrowest of margins.
68'
Iceland are sitting incredibly deep as they continue to be put under an incredible amount of pressure by Austria, who look incredibly fired up thanks to Schopf's goal. Once again, Arnautovic gets himself into a good position inside the box, but he quickly loses his footing and, eventually, the ball.
66'
Great chance for Gylfi Sigurdssson! Bjarnason cuts inside from the left flank and finds Bodvarsson, who then spins and tees up the Swansea midfielder. He's in a great position in front of goal and tries to beat Almer from close range, but the Austria goalkeeper does wonderfully well to parry the effort away from danger.
64'
Good defending by Ragnar Sigurdsson! Arnautovic flies into the left-hand side of the Iceland box before trying to pick up the ball at the near post, but the centre-back does well to out-muscle the winger before shepherding the ball out of play for a goal-kick.
62'
Austria keep coming back at Iceland as they try to build on the momentum that has been gained from their first Euro 2016 goal. Sabitzer charges down the right flank on a great run before swinging a cross into the heart of the penalty area, but it's sent slightly too near to Halldorsson and the goalkeeper does well to grab the ball out of the sky.
60'
A. Schöpf has scored a goal for Austria! Assist by D. Alaba.
Assist David Olatukunbo Alaba
GOAL! Austria have equalised! They break away incredibly quickly as they charge into the Iceland half of the pitch and towards the edge of the penalty area. Alaba sprints forward before teeing up Schopf, who then embarks on a weaving run towards goal. He beats Arnason before firing a low shot from 20 yards out, and it ends up beating the outstretched fingertips of Halldorsson by the narrowest of margins before nestling into the back of the net.
59'
Arnautovic is starting to get frustrated with the lack of clear-cut chances that his side have had this half. Once again he tries to battle with Saevarsson but this time the full-back comes out on top. He then spins and clears the danger before being clattered into late by the winger, but the referee decides to keep his cards in his pocket and only gives him a talking to.
58'
Lovely play by Bodvarsson! The Kaiserslautern striker links up well with Sigthorsson just outside of the Austria penalty area before muscling his way past two defenders. He juggles the ball on the edge of the box before blasting a looping volley towards goal, but there's slightly too much power on it and it ends up flying over the top of the crossbar.
56'
It's all Austria at the moment as they continue to push bodies forward in an attempt to find what would be a huge equaliser. This time it's Schopf who tries to test Halldorsson from the edge of the penalty area, but the substitute's thumping strike is comfortably saved by the goalkeeper at his near post.
54'
Arnautovic is starting to find more joy down the left flank as he battles hard with Saevarsson. The Stoke winger breaks past the right-back before slotting a dangerous low cross towards the near post, but Janko isn't there to meet it and it instead finds the safe hands of Halldorsson.
53'
Another great block by Arnason! This time it's Sabitzer who finds himself with the ball at his feet in front of goal, but his first-time strike ends up being stopped by the centre-back, who dives in front of the effort before heading it out to the left flank and away from danger.
51'
K. Sigþórsson gets yellow.
Yellow card Kolbeinn Sigþórsson
Austria break forward quickly before Sabitzer receives the ball on the edge of the Iceland penalty area over on the right-hand side. He's got plenty of time to lift his head before sending a cross over to the far post, but it's completely mishit and fails to find a red shirt before flying out of play for a goal-kick.
50'
And now Gylfi Sigurdsson goes close! The Swansea midfielder pushes his way through a group of red shirts as he muscles his way towards the edge of the Austria penalty area. He makes his way past three players before unleashing a wonderful bouncing volley, and it's one that beats Almer before missing the far post by the narrowest of margins.
49'
Big call for a penalty, but the referee shakes his head! Skulason falls over in the Iceland penalty area and stumbles over to Sabitzer, who he then accidentally brings crashing to the ground after making contact with his legs. The forward immediately spins and appeals for the referee to point to the spot again, but he's having none of it and allows play to go on.
48'
What a clearance by Arnason! A dangerous cross from the left can only find Gunnarsson, but the captain's attempted clearance rolls out to Alaba. The Bayern Munich man takes a quick touch before thumping a shot towards goal, but Arnason is there to throw his body in the way of the effort to stop it from troubling Halldorsson.
47'
Early chance for Iceland! Once again, a long throw from Gunnarsson causes the Austria defence plenty of problems. Arnason rises high and meets the ball before nodding it over to Bjarnason. The winger immediately unleashes a thumping strike from the edge of the penalty area, but it ends up clearing the crossbar by a yard or two.
46'
M. Janko enters the game and replaces S. Ilsanker.
A. Schöpf enters the game and replaces S. Prödl.
And we're underway once again!
Austria have decided to make a double substitution as they try to find a way back into the game. The first player to come on is Janko, who takes the place of Ilsanker.
And the second is Schopf, who takes the place of Prodl.
45'
Almost a great chance for Arnautovic! Austria move the ball around quickly as they zip through a sea of blue shirts. Dragovic pushes into the Iceland half of the pitch before finding Alaba, who then tries to poke a through-ball into the path of Arnautovic, but the winger is unable to make contact with the ball, despite his best efforts.
44'
Iceland are finally able to break away on a quick attack thanks to good work by Gudmundsson down the right wing. He earns his side a throw-in, which Gunnarsson then flings into the Austria penalty area, but this time Ilsanker is there to deal with the danger before it can find a blue shirt in front of goal.
42'
Excellent strike by Baumgartlinger! The midfielder is starting to dictate play a lot more now that Iceland are sitting deeper, resulting in him finding pockets of space in the middle of the pitch. He does so before firing a great, 30-yard shot towards goal, and it's one that Halldorsson is only just able to tip over the crossbar and out for a corner.
40'
Almost a costly mistake by Ragnar Sigurdsson! Sabitzer breaks down the right-hand side of the Iceland penalty area before firing a dangerous low cross into the middle of the box. It should be easily dealt with by the centre-back but he ends up scuffing his attempted clearance back towards his own goal, but Halldorsson does well to stop the ball from looping into the net.
38'
Bjarnason scores, but it's ruled offside! Iceland immediately fly forward from the restart as Gylfi Sigurdsson weaves his way towards the Austria box. He then pokes a lovely pass through the two centre-backs and into the path of Bjarnason, who then slots a low shot past Almer and into the back of the net. However, as soon as it crosses the line the linesman's flag is raised for offside, and rightly so.
37'
MISS! Dragovic takes a huge run-up before trying to slot the ball into the bottom of the left-hand side of the net, but he slices his shot and it ends up bouncing off the post after beating the outstretched limbs of Halldorsson. It just doesn't seem to be Austria's day!
36'
A. Skúlason gets yellow.
PENALTY! The corner initially fails to result in a chance on goal, but Austria quickly come back. A lofted pass is flung back into the penalty area, where it finds Alaba, but the Bayern Munich man is dragged back by Skulason and leaves the referee with no choice but to point to the spot. Big chance for Austria!
35'
Austria do well to put Iceland under plenty of pressure as they work the ball around quickly just outside of the penalty area. Arnautovic goes down under a challenge from Arnason and immediately appeals for a free-kick, but the referee shakes his head and allows play to go on. The ball then bounces out to Hinteregger, and the centre-back unleashes a rocket of a shot that deflects off a blue shirt and out for a corner.
33'
After sitting deep for 15 minutes, Iceland push forward ever so slightly and win back the ball inside their own half of the pitch. They patiently work their way forward before Sabitzer momentarily regains possession over on the right flank, but Skulason is quick to react to the danger and pokes the ball away from the forward and out for a throw-in.
31'
Another opportunity for Arnautovic! Baumgartlinger launches a wonderful pass over the top of the Iceland defence and into the path of the winger, who is in a great position inside the Iceland penalty area. He beats both Saevarsson and Arnason before trying to direct a header towards goal, but he's slightly off balance and ends up sending his effort a few yards over the top of the crossbar and out for a goal-kick.
30'
Arnautovic is starting to look more dangerous and is beginning to find himself in pockets of space around the edge of the Iceland penalty area. This time he receives the ball on the left-hand side of the box before trying to beat Halldorsson at his near post, but the goalkeeper does well to pluck the 20-yard strike out of the air.
28'
Big call by the referee! Alaba picks up the ball just outside of the Iceland penalty area before chipping a lovely little chip into the path of Arnautovic. The winger battles with Arnason before catching the centre-back in the face with his arm, resulting in a free-kick for Iceland. It initially looks as if the referee is going to reach for his card, but he instead decides just to give the Austrian a talking to.
26'
It's all Austria at the moment as they continue to put pressure on their opponents. Pass after pass is sent around the Iceland half of the pitch as they try to find a way through, but Sabitzer is easily bullied off the ball down the right wing and Iceland are able to clear the danger once again.
24'
Another Austria attacking move ends on the edge of the Iceland penalty area, as another attempted flick on from Alaba fails to find its target. The Bayern Munich man doesn't look at all comfortable in his more advanced role, and he's finding it difficult to deal with the pressure being put on him by Arnason and Ragnar Sigurdsson.
22'
Austria keep coming back at Iceland as they desperately try to find a quick equaliser. They work the ball from one flank to the other as they try to find a way past the three banks of blue camped in front of them, but they fail to do so and Baumgartlinger is forced to shoot from distance. His 30-yard, low strike is poorly hit, however, and Halldorsson is able to watch it roll comfortably wide of his right post.
20'
Austria immediately try to push forward from the kick-off, but, as has been the case for the majority of the tournament thus far, they fail to make the attacking move count. Once again, it's Alaba who is the guilty party, as he misplaces a pass on the edge of the penalty area and gifts possession back to Iceland.
18'
J. Böðvarsson has scored a goal for Iceland! Assist by K. Árnason.
GOAL! Iceland have taken the lead! A long goal-kick from Halldorsson finds Gudmundsson, who then settles for a throw-in off Fuchs. Gunnarsson pulls off one of his trademark long throws and finds Arnason, who nods the ball back to Bodvarsson. The striker takes a quick touch and skips past Baumgartlinger before slotting a great, low shot past the left leg of Almer and into the back of the net. What a sort for Iceland!
Assist Kári Árnason
17'
Almost a great run by Arnautovic! Austria push forward quickly down the left flank before earning themselves a throw-in, which is swiftly worked over to Sabitzer. The attacking midfielder finds Arnautovic, who then weaves his way through a group of blue shirts and into the left-hand side of the Iceland box before a heavy final touch denies him the opportunity to shoot from close range.
15'
Arnason goes close! Iceland come back once again, this time through Bjarnason, and do well to earn themselves a corner on the left wing. The set-piece causes Almer all sorts of problems before Gunnarsson heads the ball back to Arnason on the edge of the Austria penalty area, and the defender's thumping volley ends up flying just a yard or so over the top of the crossbar.
13'
Gudmundsson and Bodvarsson link up wonderfully well deep down the right wing before the latter tries to take on Dragovic on the edge of the penalty area. He's initially blocked by the defender but does well to spin past him before setting up Saevarsson, but the full-back's deep cross is slightly overhit and fails to find Bjarnason at the far post.
11'
Almost a costly mistake by Halldorsson! The Iceland goalkeeper takes an age on the ball as he tries to blast it away from danger, allowing Arnautovic to fly in and steal it from under his nose. The Stoke winger looks set to put his into the lead with the easiest of finishes, but the goalkeeper does well to dive in front of the number seven to just about deal with the danger.
9'
It isn't quite working for Austria at the moment, as every time they get the ball they're failing to break down the sea of blue shirts camped in front of them. This time it's Hinteregger who brings a promising attacking move to a disappointing end, as his low pass towards Arnautovic is poorly struck and misses the winger before finding the hands of Halldorsson.
7'
After weathering an early storm, Austria are finally able to push forward on their first real attacking move of the game. They do well to get down the right wing before winning themselves a throw-in, but Alaba's first touch is poor and sends the ball trickling harmlessly out of play, much to the delight of the Iceland fans on the touchline.
5'
It's been a positive start to the game by Iceland, who are moving the ball around nicely and aren't sitting nearly as deep as they did in their previous two games. Again they get themselves in a good position outside of the Austria penalty area before Gunnarsson tries to pick out Bodvarsson, but the midfielder's lofted pass is slightly overhit and flies out of play for a goal-kick.
3'
Gudmundsson hits the crossbar! Iceland patiently pass the ball around as they nonchalantly work their way into the Austria half of the pitch under very little pressure. The Charlon Athletic winger finds himself in a pocket of space 25 yards out and quickly unleashes an excellent shot that leaves Almer rooted to the spot but ends up ricocheting off the woodwork. What a goal that would have been!
1'
And we're off! Austria get us underway, attacking from right to left.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Euro 2016 group stage game between Iceland and Austria at the Stade de France.
Back-to-back draws from their first ever major tournament games have given Iceland a great chance of qualifying for the knockout stage, an achievement that many would have thought highly improbable heading into the competition. A win against an out-of-form Austria side would lift Lars Lagerback and Heimir Hallgrimsson’s men up to five points and could see them finish top of the table if the victory is big enough and other results go their way.
Iceland currently occupy second place in Group F and will progress even if they only get a point here today, as both Albania and Turkey have worse records after finishing third in their respective groups. Iceland’s place in the last-16 would have already been decided if Birkir Mar Saevarsson hadn’t turned the ball into the back of his own net in the dying minutes of Saturday’s game against Hungary, but they now have their own fate firmly in their hands and know that they are just one positive performance away from extending their miraculous European journey.
As for Austria, it’s now or never for a team that have struggled to make much of an impact at a tournament in which many thought they would impress. Whilst Saturday’s goalless draw against misfiring Portugal was hard fought and well deserved, a disappointing 2-0 defeat against neighbours Hungary in their opening game means that they head into today’s clash knowing that only a victory will send them through to the knockout stage.
Difficulties up front mean that Austria are one of only two sides (the other being already-eliminated Ukraine) that are yet to score a single goal at Euro 2016. Marc Janko and Martin Harnik, the two front men used thus far, have both struggled to test defenders, and that could prove to be a problem again today as Austria take on an Iceland team that have become well known for their compact and well-organised back line.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
Lars Lagerback and Heimir Hallgrimsson have decided to name an unchanged Iceland side to the one that started the 1-1 draw with Hungary on Saturday, with Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson once again leading the line in a rigid and well-organised 4-4-2 system.
Meanwhile, Austria boss Marcel Koller has made just one alteration to the side that held Portugal to a goalless draw in their last outing, with Aleksandar Dragovic returning from suspension to replace Martin Harnik, who drops to the substitutes’ bench to allow Florian Klein to start the game as a right-winger.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: ICELAND 1-0 AUSTRIA
It's been a perfect first-half performance from Iceland, who have done exactly what is required of them and, as a result, head into the break with a well-deserved one-goal lead. After starting the game higher up the pitch than normal, they took advantage of poor Austria defending to fire themselves in front, and from then onwards they have sat deep and soaked up the pressure incredibly well, making life very difficult for their opponents.
The two teams are making their way back out onto the pitch ahead of the start of the second half.
FULL-TIME: ICELAND 2-1 AUSTRIA
They've done it! Little Iceland, who so many wrote off at the start of the tournament, will play England in the last-16 of the competition thanks to that last-minute goal from Traustason. It was certainly well deserved, as they pushed Austria incredibly hard and defended diligently before hitting them with a typically dangerous counter-attack.
