We're underway in this Group E contest.
Coleman comes in with a tough challenge on De Sciglio, which earns Italy an early free-kick.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Euro 2016 Group E clash between Italy and Republic of Ireland.
Italy have already qualified for the second round of the tournament following their 1-0 win over Sweden last time out, but still have to secure a point this evening to be sure of top spot in the group.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with Antonio Conte's men.
Ireland have to go all out for the win this evening to qualify as one of the best-placed third teams, and hope that Sweden are unable to defeat Belgium in their clash. Although, they still could get through ahead of the Red Devils should they take all three points against the Azzurri.
Italy subs: Buffon, Chiellini, Darmian, Candreva, Pelle, Marchetti, De Rossi, Eder, Parolo, Insigne, El Shaarawy, Giaccherini.
Conte has rung the changes this evening following his side's progression to the knockout phase. Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini, Antonio Candreva, Marco Parolo, Emanuele Giaccherini, Daniele De Rossi, Eder and Graziano Pelle have all been rested. Salvatore Sirigu, Angelo Ogbonna, Filippo Bernadeschi, Thiago Motta, Stefano Sturaro and Ciro Immobile all come into the line-up.
The players are making their way out on to the pitch so we should be underway shortly.
Martin O'Neill has also made several changes to his team with John O'Shea and Ciaran Clark dropping out of the back four, with Richard Keogh and Shane Duffy replacing them in the heart of the defence. James McClean and Daryl Murphy also start this evening as Glenn Whelan and Wes Hoolahan are dropped.
HALF-TIME: ITALY 0-0 REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
The Ireland fans boo the referee off the pitch at the break as they strongly feel that their side should have been awarded a penalty. It was a close call, and the spot-kick should probably have been given, but the manner of James McClean's fall perhaps convinced the referee he fell too easily.
O'Neill's men have dominated the first half against a much-changed Italy outfit, but have lacked the quality to break down the Azzurri. Robbie Brady has had several opportunities to deliver from the wide areas, but has struggled to find a white shirt. Jeff Hendrick came the closest to breaking the deadlock as his strike from distance went inches past the post, but Ireland need to be better to avoid an early exit.
The players are back out on the pitch, so we should be back underway shortly.
FULL-TIME: ITALY 0-1 REPUBLIC OF IRELAND
DRAMA! Ireland are through to the last 16 of Euro 2016 thanks to Robbie Brady's 85th-minute winner. The result sees Martin O'Neill's men qualify ahead of Turkey in third-place rankings table, leaving them to face France in the next round. What a moment for Ireland, and richly deserved for their efforts this evening.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time goodbye.
