CHANCE! An incredible pass from De Bruyne sets Bernardo Silva free yet again, but despite having plenty of time, the former Monaco man can’t beat De Gea.
90' +3
A real chance for City to wrap up the win goes begging, as Sterling drives forward at pace before teeing up Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese, however, goes down under pressure from Valencia, but it was never going to be a penalty.
90' +2
Clever play from City, as Bernardo Silva, Sterling and De Bruyne keep the ball down in the corner, frustrating United. Eventually, though, the ball goes out for a goal-kick, and De Gea launches it upfield.
90' +1
There will be a minimum of four minutes added time at Old Trafford...
90'
A. Young gets yellow.
Young picks up a caution after going in heavily on Sterling.
88'
Bernardo Silva enters the game and replaces L. Sané.
A third and final change for City. We will not see Sergio Aguero today, as it is Bernardo Silva who comes on, replacing Leroy Sane.
86'
For all City’s promising attacking play, it has been two scrappy goals that have put them into the lead heading into the final five minutes of this derby. But, bar a few mistakes from Delph, defensively they have been superb, and Ederson’s actions may well have just won them the points here.
84'
WHAT A SAVE! That is incredible from Ederson, who pulls off a quite remarkable double save to deny Lukaku and then Mata from point-blank range. Similar to De Gea’s efforts at the Emirates last week, City’s goalkeeper - after managing to keep out Lukaku’s venomous attempt - reacts to deny Mata. Outstanding!
82'
Mata enters the game and replaces Ander Herrera.
A final change of the game for United. Ander Herrera - having just been booked - goes off. Juan Mata comes on for the closing stages at Old Trafford.
80'
In the moments proceeding Herrera’s simulation, Mangala defended excellently to force Lukaku wide of the goal, only for Otamendi’s loose touch almost allowing Herrera to get in.
Minute
Description
79'
Ander Herrera gets yellow.
BIG CALL! A huge moment here, as Michael Oliver decides that Herrera had dived after a collision with Otamendi. And the referee got that decision spot on.
76'
Z. Ibrahimović enters the game and replaces J. Lingard.
SAVE! Once again, a defensive error from Delph allows Rashford to capitalise. The youngster wastes no time in going for goal, forcing Ederson into a fine stop at his near post.
United now make that change - Jesse Lingard giving way for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. An attacking substitution from Mourinho, though it will leave more space for City to exploit in the middle.
75'
It looks as though Mourinho is prepping another change, with Ibrahimovic readying himself on the sidelines.
73'
David Silva gets yellow.
Silva goes into Michael Oliver’s book for a late lunge on his compatriot Herrera.
71'
SAVE! Scintillating play from City sees De Bruyne power forward from deep before attempting to beat De Gea from 20 yards out. United’s goalkeeper, though, gets down sharply to his right to tip the ball wide.
70'
OVER! Rashford tries to execute a dipping strike, but can’t keep his effort down.
69'
A chance now for United, as Sterling is forced to bring down Martial around 25 yards out. Can the hosts make anything of this opportunity?
68'
Great combination play between Silva and Sane sees the latter get to the byline, proceeding to drill in a low cross. Gundogan makes contact, but can’t direct his effort towards goal, and United clear.
67'
HIGH AND WIDE! It just isn’t Lukaku’s day today. United’s striker squared up Mangala on the cusp of City’s area, only to blast his effort well off target.
65'
CHANCE! Silva gets down the left and slips a perfect pass into Gundogan. The Germany midfielder cuts it back past De Get, but no City player had gambled on it.
64'
STAT - United have conceded two goals at Old Trafford in the Premier League for just the second time under Mourinho. The first occasion was in their 2-1 derby defeat to City in September 2016.
63'
M. Rashford gets yellow.
A talking-to, and a booking, now for Rashford - who lashed out at Mangala before slamming the ball away in frustration.
60'
Guardiola still has Aguero to bring on as well, and it surely won’t be long until the Argentine makes an appearance.
59'
E. Mangala enters the game and replaces Gabriel Jesus.
A defensive change now from Guardiola, who takes off Gabriel Jesus, and introduces Eliaquim Mangala. That means Fernandinho will step back into midfield, and Sane, Sterling and Silva will lead the line.
58'
Otamendi has now scored more Premier League goals this season than any other defender (4).
56'
That error really has summed up Lukaku’s day, and you wonder how long it will be before Mourinho turns to Zlatan Ibrahimovic - who is on the bench - to try and salvage this result.
54'
N. Otamendi has scored a goal for Manchester City!
GOAL! OTAMENDI PUTS CITY BACK AHEAD! Once again, from a set-piece, Lukaku makes a huge error to gift City a goal. The former Everton man meets De Bruyne’s cross, but can only volley his clearance into the back of Smalling. The ball loops up and - just like Silva - Otamendi reacts sharply to volley in.
53'
It is City, now, who are having to work hard defensively. They still present a real threat on the counter, though. First, Sterling gets into the area, but is marshalled wide, before Sane shoots over from range.
51'
Fernandinho again gets dragged out of his makeshift defensive role, and Lingard manages to get the better of him. The Brazil midfielder, however, recovers to block the cross.
49'
Lukaku spins away from Fernandinho down the left, but just as it looks like he’ll have some space to run into, the Belgian’s touch lets him down, and City recover.
48'
STAT - Rashford has now been involved in 11 goals in 12 games in all comps at Old Trafford this season (6 goals, 5 assists), more than any other Man Utd player.
46'
V. Lindelöf enters the game and replaces M. Rojo.
İ. Gündoğan enters the game and replaces V. Kompany.
A change for City, and it must be an enforced one. Kompany, who you can only presume is injured, goes off. Ilkay Gundogan comes on in his place, meaning Fernandinho will drop into defence.
City get proceedings back up and running at Old Trafford.
A change for United, as Marcos Rojo makes way for Nilsson Lindelof.
45' +2
M. Rashford has scored a goal for Manchester United!
GOAL!!! UNITED ARE LEVEL! One mistake from City, and Rashford - who socred a superb derby goal in 2016 - makes sure to punish them. Delph failed to clear on the edge of City’s area, and United’s young striker took full advantage as he kept his cool to slot in past the advancing Ederson.
45' +1
As the fourth official indicates there will be a minimum of four minutes stoppage time, a bit of space opens up for Martial, who thumps a low strike at Ederson. City’s shot-stopper, though, is equal to it.
45'
Rashford takes the set-piece, but it is overhit, and despite Matic keeping it alive, City eventually break through De Bruyne. The midfielder, however, can’t pick out Sane in the final third.
44'
That goal has certainly been coming, and now Mourinho’s side will have to press out. They have done just that, with Valencia having won a corner down the right…
43'
David Silva has scored a goal for Manchester City!
GOOOOAAAALLLL!!! David Silva puts City ahead! Well, it’s the goal the visions have deserved. Lukaku goes to clear Sane’s in swinging corner, but can only nudge the ball into the path of Silva, who hooks home with an acrobatic finish.
42'
SAVE! Fantastic from Sane, who takes in Delph’s cross with a sublime first touch. The winger creates space for himself before unleashing a venomous effort goalwards, which De Sea tips over.
41'
Lukaku scored in both of Everton’s league matches against Manchester City last season, but the Belgian has barely had a kick so far today. United must try to get their big-money striker more involved.
39'
Silva makes a great run from deep, cutting through United’s midfield. This time, though, the Spaniard’s final ball is slightly behind Sterling, who can’t get his shot off.
37'
Jesus powers into the area once more, but hesitates, and Martial is able to make a tackle. The France forward attempts to start a counter, only for City's striker to commit a rather cynical foul.
36'
M. Rojo gets yellow.
For his part in that collision, Rojo - who has now recovered - picks up a booking.
35'
A pause in play now, with both Rojo and Silva having to receive treatment following a clash of head sin the centre circle. United’s defender seems to have come off worse, though…
33'
Nearly! More last-ditch defending from United, as Sterling and Silva combine brilliantly in the hosts’ area. Young, however, was well-placed to intervene.
31'
Another superb pass from Fernandinho puts Sterling into space, but his shot is charged down. City quickly regain possession - Otamendi driving forward and trying his luck from range, but the ball sails over.
29'
Great defending from Walker, who does brilliantly to beat Lingard to a long ball. Ederson picks up the scraps and, under pressure from two United players, calmly passes the ball out to Delph.
26'
STAT - United have lost seven of their last 12 league games against their local rivals (W3 D2 L7) – as many as they had lost in their previous 45 in league competition against them (W22 D16 L7).
24'
It does appear that Jesus made the most of Smalling’s challenge, and went down easily. United’s players, meanwhile, are left infuriated after Company dives in on Matic, but the City skipper clearly won the ball.
22'
No penalty! Big appeals for a spot-kick from the City players, after Jesus - who did well to get the better of Valencia - goes down under pressure from Herrera and Smalling. Referee Oliver, however, dismisses the visitors’ claims.
20'
United have not managed anything of note going forward so far, and Lukaku is already looking a rather lonely figure up top. Rashford and Martial, meanwhile, are playing almost on top of their respective full-backs.
18'
CHANCE! A supreme pass from Fernandinho sends Jesus clear. The striker cuts back onto his weaker left foot, but his effort lacks the power to beat United’s goalkeeper.
16'
Superb play from City results in a chance for Sterling. De Bruyne starts it with a fine tackle on Young down the right. The Belgian feeds Sterling, who plays a one-two with Jesus. The winger looks set to drive through on goal, but Smalling gets across to close the angle, and Sterling can’t test De Gea.
15'
De Bruyne’s resulting delivery results in a City corner, which Sane puts in towards the six-yard box. Matic gets there first, but the ball skews off him towards goal. Fortunately, it lacked pace, and De Get makes an easy stop.
13'
United have barley had the ball, but for the time being at least you can assume that Mourinho will not be too concerned, with City struggling to craft a real opening. Matic has just conceded a foul in a dangerous area, however, and De Bruyne will now look to whip in the free-kick…
11'
Lingard’s role could well be key for United, with the hosts already sitting so deep. The England midfielder will be tasked with dropping in to help Herrera and Matic when required, but also pushing on to prevent Lukaku getting isolated against Kompany and Otamendi.
10'
Almost! Well, City very nearly do get in! Sterling drifts inside from the left flank and drives towards the area before prodding a neat pass into Jesus, but the striker can’t quite trap the ball and Smalling manages to hook it clear.
9'
City have enjoyed 75 per-cent of the ball so far, with just under 10 minutes played. They are passing and probing, but no gaps have yet appeared in United’s line.
6'
STAT - Mourinho has won just four of his 19 managerial meetings with Guardiola in all competitions (W4 D7 L8), with just one of those wins coming in league competition.
4'
K. Walker gets yellow.
United have not lost a home game in 40 matches - with City’s 2-1 victory in September 2016 the last time Mourinho’s men tasted defeat on home turf.
An early booking for Walker, and it is certainly a soft one, with Herrera having leapt dramatically over the City defender’s challenge.
3'
High pressure from City, with Sterling leading the press by cornering Young, who does well to feed the ball back to Rojo, who - with help from Smalling - eventually clears. Lukaku looks to hunt down the loose ball, but City’s defence are swiftly back in shape.

KICK OFF! At the sound of referee Michael Oliver’s whistle, United get us underway in the Manchester derby!
Hello and welcome, football fans across the globe, to our LIVE coverage of what promises to be a mouthwatering Manchester derby, as Premier League leaders Manchester City take the short trip across town to Old Trafford to take on second-placed Manchester United.
After two seasons where neither side ultimately came close to challenging for the Premier League crown, both Manchester clubs are well in the hunt this time around. City, on the back of their 13-match winning run in the league, lead the way, with United trailing their neighbours by eight points.
And while the league will not be won for City with a victory today, a defeat for United - who come into this clash having won their last four in all competitions - could well take any remaining wind out of their sails.
The team news is in from Old Trafford. We’ll start off with the hosts…
Manchester United substitutes: Lindelof, Jones, Mata, Ibrahimovic, Romero, Shaw, McTominay.
Manchester United (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Valencia, Smalling, Rojo, Young; Herrera, Matic; Martial, Lingard, Rashford; Lukaku.
Two changes in total from Jose Mourinho compared to the side that started in the dramatic, David De Gea-inspired victory over Arsenal last time out in the league. The suspended Paul Pogba makes way for Ander Herrera in midfield, while Victor Lindelof drops out for Marcus Rashford. In form Jesse Lingard, who netted twice at the Emirates, will be tasked with supporting Romelu Lukaku.
Manchester City (4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Kompany, Delph; De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Silva; Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Sane.
Pep Guardiola rested several of his stars in midweek, as City suffered their first defeat of the season across all competitions against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. A surprising omission from the starting line up is Sergio Aguero, who sits on the bench, with Gabriel Jesus leading the line. Vincent Kompany and Fernandinho sat out against West Ham in City’s previous league outing, but both return this afternoon.
Manchester City substitutes: Bravo, Danilo, Gundogan, Aguero, Mangala, Bernardo Silva, Zinchenko.
After losing four Premier League games in a row against City, United have lost just one of their last five derbies against them. However, should the Citizens claim the points today, they would set a new record for the number of consecutive wins in a single season.
The teams are coming out now at Old Trafford, where the atmosphere is as raucous as expected.
Well, after a relatively low-key first half, this derby has just sparked into life, and it is 1-1 at the interval after two goals in the space of four minutes!
David Silva’s goal from close range had given City a deserved lead, but the visitors’ defensive frailties were exposed again moments later when Delph’s error allowed Rashford to restore parity.
Five of David Silva’s six Premier League goal involvements against Man Utd have come at Old Trafford (three goals, two assists), and overall his goal was nothing less than City’s dominance warranted. But, despite offering little going forward throughout that half, United are back on level terms.
Only Lukaku (17) has been involved in more goals in all comps for Man Utd this season than Rashford (15). There were just 266 seconds between CIty’s opener and the England man’s well-taken equaliser.
FULL TIME: Manchester United 1 Manchester City 2.
While their goals were perhaps fortunate, the win was nothing less than City deserved. It was a dominant display from the visitors, and though United had their chances - with Ederson pulling off a string of brilliant saves to deny Lukaku and Mata - Mourinho’s men will now have to overhaul a huge gap to come back from this defeat.
A crucial victory for City, as they set a new Premier League record for the amount of consecutive victories in a single season, with their 14th-straight win. Pep Guardiola’s table-topping side are now 11 points clear of their local rivals.
Well, that’s all from me for now. Until next time, thank you and goodbye!
City are playing with so much confidence and self-belief, and it will take something special to prevent Guardiola’s record-breaking side claiming the league title.
