GOAL!..well almost for Chievo the Somali forward Samassa tries catch the Inter backline but they read his instincts and push forward. Samassa smashes it into the back of the net only to see his effort chopped off.
90'
CHANCE! Well now Chievo taking chances and Inter exploiting the space, Gargano, who has been excellent since coming on, is fed through it's a tight angle as he tries to sneak the ball past Sorrentino but the big goalkeeper does enough to thwart him.
89'
CHANCE! Wow that would have been special almost Zidane-esque as Guarin met that ball on the volley from a cross. The contact isn't quite as sweet though, and it fizzes wide of Sorrentino's left post.
88'
Two minutes remaining in this match Stramaccioni's side doing enough to see this out..
86'
It looks like another win for Inter so it begs the question why can't they win at San Siro - tweet me your thoughts @CTTurnbull
85'
Cruzado was so unlucky with that free-kick but he's involved again opening a great opportunity for substitute Stoian who cuts inside at the edge of the box tries to fire a shot towards goal, but great challenge from Samuel who has been solid since picking up that early yellow.
83'
G. Mudingayi enters the game and replaces E. Cambiasso.
WOODWORK!! Another stunning free-kick cannons of the bar, it curled wickedly over the wall and Handanovic looked beaten but the woodwork came to the rescue. Ever get the feeling it's just not your night?
81'
Inter have really found joy down Chievo's right-hand side and that's where the goal came from. They now have some defending to do as they line up another free-kick in a dangerous area. Thirty yards from goal.
79'
Inter have clearly been given a much-needed boost of confidence after that second goal went in, if Chievo are going to get anything from this match, now is the time to do it.
77'
A. Stoian enters the game and replaces L. Rigoni.
Well it's not being an exceptional performance but the Nerazzurri will be delighted to bounce back from the Siena defeat if the score remains this way. Meanwhile Chievo have now conceded two goals in each of their last four games.
Minute
Description
75'
It was Gargano who orchrestrated the move he flicked the ball through to Milito and Cassano and it was the latter who stole a bit of space behind the Chievo rearguard to give Inter a comfortable cushion.
74'
A. Cassano has scored a goal for Inter Milan! Assist by W. Gargano.
GOOOOAALLLL! Cassano nets for the Nerazzurri! His third goal in Serie A this season a superb finish putting it beyond not only Sorrentino but beyond the hosts as well.
73'
Well Sardo has been excellent for Chievo and his determination down the right hand wing almost fashions another opportunity for the Flying Donkeys, but Guarin, to his credit gets back to cut out the cross.
71'
Into the final 20 minutes can the Flying Donkeys get back into this match - their play certainly merits it but the more men they push forward, the more space there is for Cassano & Co. to exploit.
69'
R. Cruzado enters the game and replaces K. Vacek.
Gargano comes on as a substitute and is immediately involved. The former Napoli star feeds the Inter strikers but the danger is cut out.
68'
W. Gargano enters the game and replaces Y. Nagatomo.
FANTASTIC SAVE!! Handanovic pulls off a wonder save tipping the free-kick from Rigoni over the bar. It was curling right-to-left looking to go into the top corner but the Slovenian got a strong hand to push it over.
66'
A free-kick in a dangerous position for the hosts after Guarin went to ground and fouled Vacek. Handanovic bellows instructions at his defensive wall while Vacek receives treatment on the sidelines.
64'
GREAT CHANCE! Will just as I said earlier Chievo would be more vulnerable on the counter and Milito nearly offered a goal on a plate to Cassano after cutting in from the left flank but the Flying Donkeys managed to snuff out the opportunity.
62'
M. Samassa enters the game and replaces D. Di Michele.
CHANCE! A great through ball finds Mati Rigoni, from a tight angle he fires a shot swerving viciously but the Slovenian ensures he gets everything behind it.
60'
Hour gone. Inter still lead through Pereira's first goal for the club. The more the game goes on this way, you feel Chievo will be more vulnerable on the break.
58'
Pereira is caught dallying on the ball in the Inter box but Chievo can't take advantage, while at the other end Guarin rifles a shot high over the bar. Chievo will be pleased that they're limiting the visitors to shots from outside the box.
56'
Chievo have another half-chance but Ranocchia snuffs out the danger he has been solid for Inter tonight.
55'
Ten minutes gone of the second half and the play has very much reflected how the first half went. Chievo putting pressure on Inter but the Nerazzurri looking dangerous on the break.
54'
But a long 25-yard drive could have ruined that record but Handanovic dives low to his right - the shot maybe just going off target.
52'
Will San Siro hoodoo is certainly not affecting Inter's away form - 100 per cent record.
50'
Inter coming forward with a bit more urgency, Milito fashions his first real opportunity of the match but his shot from just outside the box goes harmlessly over the bar.
48'
K. Vacek gets yellow.
Well Chievo have started the second half as they did the first putting pressure on the visitors. Here's what some Inter fans think of the performance: @cwlarmour I'm a great Inter fan, but right now they deserve to be losing to 11 year olds"
46'
The teams are getting ready to kick-off the second half. Inter one goal to the good but Chievo will be scratching their head wondering how they are behind. One shot on target and one goal - prolific
45'
We're into injury time in the first-half and Chievo fans can't quite fathom how they're behind here.
44'
What's it they say in football when you're on top and don't take your chances? Pereira did excellently to anticipate the opportunity coming, you've got to give him credit for that. Meanwhile, Pellissier is looking to lead by example and forces a free-kick in a dangerous area but it comes to nothing.
43'
Á. Pereira has scored a goal for Inter Milan!
42'
GOAL FOR INTER!!! Well where did that come from!? Pereira turns home his first ever goal for the San Siro outfit after he redirected Nagatomo speculative shot across the area.
40'
Five minutes before half-time and Andrea Strammacioni will be happy just to get his side in at the break and rethink his ideas.
38'
Chievo coming forward with a nice passage of play but it eventually fizzles out as Pellissier can't get past the defence but so Domenico Di Carlo will be very pleased with what he has seen so far.
36'
G. Sardo gets yellow.
But there's a good reason for that as Chievo are giving Inter no time on the ball, Sardo in hard on Pereira again, this time the referee books him but he has typified the spirit shown by the Flying Donkeys.
35'
Inter's Stramaccioni looks frustrated and who could blame him after what he has seen so far. The formation change really has done no favours so far, the visitors struggling to stamp their perhaps expected authority on the match.
33'
CHANCE! Any joy Inter have had has been down the right-hand side between Zanetti and Nagatomo and they fashioned an opportunity for Guarin who lashed a shot across goal but it goes wide, this might give the Nerazzurri more of a boost.
31'
Half-an-hour gone and it's Chievo who have been the better side, Inter have been lethargic and lacked any attacking impetus so far. Sardo has been a fine example of the hard-tackling of the Flying Donkey's given Pereira no time on the ball.
29'
GREAT CHANCE! Another huge opportunity for Chievo, Pellissier again finding space behind the Inter defence. Ranocchia left him to have a free shot at goal but the skipper sliced his shot wide of Handanovic's post.
27'
Very little to get excited by so far but the hosts have had the best opportunity with Pellissier. A reminder you can get in touch on twitter @CTTurnbull
26'
A. Cassano enters the game and replaces W. Sneijder.
Indeed Cassano comes on. More forward playing than Sneijder has netted twice for the Nerazzurri this season can add more attacking impetus. His introduction is to get smashed in the face with the ball, hows your luck eh?
24'
Sneijder's game looks over after that challenge and Cassano looks like he's ready to come on. Worrying times for Inter fans.
23'
Another stoppage and this is perhaps what really has prevented this game from coming alive. Sneijder receiving treatment after Pellissier's challenge. The Dutchman looks in some pain clutching his hamstring.
22'
GREAT CHANCE FOR CHIEVO! A 40-yard raking ball finds Pellissier in behind the Nerazzurri defence, but the ball can't quite sit for him and he fluffs the opportunity, easily the best chance of the match so far.
21'
The Nerazzurri now looking to inject some urgency into their play, it has been pretty slow and it's fairly easy for Chievo.
18'
Stat-attack! Chievo's last nine of 11 games have finished under 2.5 goals and given the first spell of this match it's no surprise really...
17'
Still nothing in the way of clear-cut chances for either side, Inter looking to exploit the Flying Donkey's down the wing but so far no joy. Diego Milito has hardly had a kick.
15'
Chievo quite happy to retain possession so far they are knocking the ball about quite nicely, Inter's new formation yet to really click.
13'
Nagatomo for the visitors ensures Di Michele gets no joy down the left-hand side cutting out the danger for the Nerazzurri.
12'
Stramaccioni bellows orders for Perreira and Sneijder to get on the ball more - they have been quite quiet so far.
11'
Inter struggling to keep possession at the minute the heavy downpour before the match has certainly not made conditions any easier for these two teams.
10'
L. Rigoni gets yellow.
9'
A booking for Luca Rigoni in hard to the back of Sneijder, making sure he knows he's in a game, he's now walking a tightrope.
7'
And again it's Chievo on the attack and they forced the first corner of the match great play by Pellissier down the wing and it was the resultant corner which saw his header land comfortably for Handanovic.
6'
Well we've played six minutes and it's been fairly even so far, Chievo have started brightly.
5'
W. Samuel gets yellow.
4'
And the referee is certainly not taken any nonsense here and Walter Samuel finds himself in the book - might have felt that was harsh to be booked so early.
3'
GREAT CHANCE! Chievo replying immediately, Pellissier with the chance the ball was whipped in by Di Michele it took a deflection and Handanovic had to be alert to push it clear.
2'
Inter immediately caught offside. It was good play by Perreira who found Milito but the Argentine was just ahead of the last defender.
1'
We're underway at the Bentegodi!
Good Evening folks! Welcome to Goal.com's coverage of Chievo against Inter in Serie A. I'm Craig Turnbull and I'll be bringing you LIVE commentary of this intriguing clash. You can also tweet me your thoughts on the match @CTTurnbull and coming-up... the story so far and the team news as soon as we get it.
Andrea Stamaccioni's men have found it difficult of late to muster any sort of form at San Siro, but it's a different story away from the Giuseppe Meazza as they've collected maximum points while scoring 10 goals in the process in all competitions. A shock 2-0 home defeat to Siena on Sunday means Inter are already seven points behind the champions Juventus.
The Gialloblu on the other hand, have also found results difficult to come by recently, losing their last three games - Parma, Lazio and Juventus - since their only win of the season came against Bologna. Domenico Di Carlo's men will be looking to take advantage of a struggling Nerazzurri side but haven't scored against the San Siro outfit in their last three attempts.
It's set up to be a thrilling encounter so sit back and enjoy as Goal.com brings you live commentary for the next 90 minutes! We'll give you a run down of the team news as soon as we hear it, kick-off is less than 15 minutes away.
Right here's the team news and first-off the visitors who have reverted to a back three for this clash, in what almost looks like a 3-5-1-1 formation.
Inter starting XI v Chievo: Handanovic; Ranocchia, Samuel, Juan; Nagatomo, Zanetti, Cambiasso, Guarin, Pereira; Sneijder; Milito.
And for the hosts, here's Chievo's Starting XI: Sorrentino; Dainelli, M.Rigoni, Cesar, L.Rigoni, Di Michele, Sardo, Frey, Vacek, Pellissier, Hatemaj.
Chievo make two changes from Saturday's match Sardo and Di Michele come in and they're in their usual 4-3-2-1 formation.
Inter have yet to trouble Sorrentino in goal, though, Perreira tries his best with a speculative 30-yard effort which goes harmlessly over the bar.
Tweet me your half-time thoughts what have you thought of the game so far? @CTTurnbull I'll post out the best ones.
HALF-TIME: Well here in Verona somehow the visitors are leading. Chievo's masterplan undone on 43 minutes when Pereira anticipated Nagatomo's effort going wide and from 6-yards out prodded it into the back of the net. But it's been a fantastic effort by the Flying Donkey's but they'll be more than disappointed to be behind at the interval.
@amparo_jonathan says: "inter wil win by 5 goals to nil." Optimistic!
And that's full-time at the Bentegodi stadium. Inter take the three points and continue their rich vein of away form scoring twelve now in all competitions and conceding none.
Chievo will feel hard done by, their skipper Pellissier missed a couple of great chances but Inter punished them through Pereira and Cassano. Thank you for being with us tonight.
I hope you enjoyed the coverage I'm Craig Turnbull and if you have any thoughts about the game tweet me @CTTurnbull
