And the game gets underway at the Liberty Stadium!
Hello and welcome to Goal.com's Live play-by-play as Swansea take on Reading at the Liberty Stadium. I'm Arthur Virgo here to talk through the events.
Swansea: Vorm, Rangel, Chico, Williams, Davies, Dyer, Britton, Michu, Ki, Routledge, Graham. Subs: Tremmel, Tate, Hernandez, Shechter, Moore, de Guzman, Tiendalli.
Michael Laudrup leaves Jonathan De Guzman and Pablo Hernandez on the bench, starting Ki Sung-Yeung and Leon Britton in central midfield and Wayne Routledge and Nathan Dyer on the wings.
Brian McDermott gives Jay Tabb a first start in central midfield alongside Jem Karacan, opting for two up front in the form of Pavel Pogrebnyak and Noel Hunt. He keeps his defence unchanged from last week after making several changes ahead of the 2-2 draw against Newcastle.
And it's half time at the Liberty Stadium!
Swansea are reeling from two Reading goals against the run of play as the walk in at half time. Having had what felt like a lot more of the game than the 58% of possession they recorded and winning four corners to Reading's one, conceding two goals due to a goalkeeping error and an unlikely defensive mishap will be really demoralising. Reading were forced to defend for most of the opening half hour, as the home side were allowed to advance towards their defence before encountering the Royals' massed ranks while Brian McDermott's midfield four struggled to get into the game. But at two in front the Royals can afford to look to hit Swansea on the break, as Michael Laudrup needs to attack as his side hope to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat.
Striker Luke Moore appears in place of Danny Graham, who was reeling from a heavy challenge from Gorkss.
It's full time at the Liberty Stadium after an enthralling second half.
Michael Laudrup and Brian McDermott are each forced to settle for a point with each manager aggrieved at bad luck and the concession of a two goal lead respectively. Reading had gone into the second half with a surprise two goal lead came against the run of play, and goalkeeper Alex McCarthy made some exceptional saves to keep Swansea out. Eventually however the Swans's attacking threat prevailed and after Michu's reaped the benefit of a deserved lucky break with a close range header, Routledge instigated a comeback for Michael Laudrup's side. Luke Moore had made a big difference after coming on at half time and fittingly was involved in the equaliser. As Swansea searched for a winner, McDermott always kept players up the pitch to stem the onslaught even at the expense of his tiring midfielders, and his team very nearly forced a shocking twist to the match. After Pablo Hernandez was denied a penalty the away side, Jem Karacan almost headed a winner but Swans' captain Ashley Williams headed off the line. The Royals were revitalised and launched attacks of their own until the final whistle, when the result of an unpredictable game was finally confirmed.
