Full time and what a second half at the Madjeski Stadium. Three goals in the last five minutes ended with Robson-Kanu snatching a late equaliser for the Royals and deny Fulham a deserved three points
90' +3
What a double save by Schwarzer to deny Reading a fourth goal! From the resulting corner the ball flicks off a Fulham body and just wide of the goal.
90'
H. Robson-Kanu has scored a goal for Reading!
There is no doubt this game has been defined by its substitutes Shorey's free kick is bundled home by Hal Robson-Kanu to put Reading on course for a point. Wow
88'
D. Berbatov has scored a goal for Fulham! Assist by S. Sidwell.
Would you Adam and Eve it! Berbatov puts the finishing touches to a superb passing move, lashing in from just inside the penalty area to put Fulham back in front.
85'
G. McCleary has scored a goal for Reading! Assist by J. Roberts.
What Ruiz can do Garath McCleary can do also. The Reading substitute has brought his side level turning the ball home from close range after Jason Roberts failed to control a low cross from the left
80'
S. Sidwell enters the game and replaces C. Baird.
A. Le Fondre enters the game and replaces P. Pogrebnyak.
79'
What an impact Bryan Ruiz has made since coming on. A goal and an assist for the Costa Rican schemer.
78'
H. Robson-Kanu enters the game and replaces J. Kébé.
Baird is now limping off after damaging his ankle running to meet the ball and then slipping during his celebrations.
77'
C. Baird has scored a goal for Fulham! Assist by B. Ruiz.
Fulham have completed the turnaround and its last weeks hero Chris Baird with the goal, nipping ahead of his marker at the near post to glance Ruiz's corner into the net. Its been coming
76'
S. Cummings gets yellow.
Minute
Description
75'
Cumming's showing his inexperience with a late challenge to bring down Berbatov in another good shooting position for Fulham
74'
C. Baird gets yellow.
Finally a save for Schwarzer! Kebe cuts in from the left but can't quite get the connection he wants on the ball making it an easy gather for the Fulham stopper
73'
That being said they've frustrated Fulham with some staunch and structured defender around the penalty area.
72'
Reading have barely threatened Schwarzer's goal in the second half. In fact the Aussie keeper has barely had a save to make for the 70 plus minutes he's been on the field
70'
Just watching the replays of Ruiz's goal. Its one well worth staying up for on Match of the Day tonight. Wonderful technique to guide it into the top corner
69'
G. McCleary enters the game and replaces J. Tabb.
67'
A. Dejagah enters the game and replaces D. Duff.
65'
The visitors are now well in the ascendancy and go close again through Berbatov. A dinked pass from Ruiz is trapped by the Bulgarian inside the Reading penalty area before swiveling and firing into the side net
61'
B. Ruiz has scored a goal for Fulham! Assist by D. Duff.
Inspired change from Martin Jol! Just three minutes after coming on Ruiz has pulled Fulham level with a truly wonderful strike from the edge of the area after linking up well with Duff
58'
B. Ruiz enters the game and replaces H. Rodallega.
57'
Not surprising to see Rodallega replaced by Bryan Ruiz. Should allow Berbatov to stay in the central striker position as Ruiz will drop off to link up play and work space for the Bulgarian
56'
Fulham penned in at the moment under a surge of Reading pressure. Still the home side have yet to put a quality cross into the area from out wide
54'
Schwarzer is a lucky man as he flaps at Cumming's cross from the right with Pogrebnyak lurking just behind. Luckily the Reading striker is put off and the ball sails out for a throw in
52'
Fulham struggling to find a way through the Reading rearguard and continue to focus their play down the left
47'
We've seen Riise score from there before but not on this occasion. The Fulham left back smashes a 35-yard free kick towards goal but its deflected behind by a brave Reading defender
46'
And the home side get the second half underway
45' +1
Half time and Reading take a slender one goal lead into the break although Fulham have come close to equalising on numerous occasions
45'
Just a minute of time added on at the Madjeski Stadium
43'
Richardson finds more space down the Fulham left and his cut back his stabbed wide Duff, who nipped in between two Reading shirts to meet the ball
41'
Another chance goes begging for the visitors. Chris Baird this time, unable to replicate is heroics from last week, screwing the ball high and wide from a good shooting position
39'
Schwarzer and Hangeland try to play their ball out from the back and almost get caught out by Pogrebynak and Kebe.Heart in mouth moment for Martin Jol
38'
Brian McDermott really does have Reading organised brilliantly when possession is sacrificed. Making it hard for Fulham to find some space in and around the penalty, forcing Berbatov to vacate his central position to pick up the ball
36'
Big miss from Rodallega! A deep cross from Duff on the right finds the Colombian just a hairs breadth from goal but he can only head the ball straight at McCarthy
35'
More good play from Reading down the wings as Kebe works some space for a cross from the right and finds Tabb but he can't find the connection needed to beat Schwarzer
31'
Fulham just haven't got going yet. Berbatov rarely involved and pretty much on the games peripheral and when he isn't firing neither are the Cottagers.
30'
Pogrebnyak lines up a free kick 25-yards from goal but can only smash the ball low and wide of the Fulham goal
29'
A goal was exactly what this game needed and you'd have to say Reading have deserved it for their efforts in the first half
26'
M. Leigertwood has scored a goal for Reading! Assist by J. McAnuff.
Leigertwood opens the scoring with a thumping effort from 20-yards that flies past Mark Schwarzer and into the top corner. Full marks to McAnuff for having the presence of mind to tee up his Reading teammate
22'
Mohamed Diarra unleashes a stinging volley from 25-yards that flies just over after Reading failed to properly clear John Arne Riise's corner
21'
Richardson delivers a teasing cross for Rodallega who heads the ball straight at Alex McCarthy from close range. Even if he had scored the offside flag was already up on the far side.
18'
Quality of their crossing is letting Reading down at the moment. Another delivery, this time from Jobi McAnuff, is easily dealt with by Aaron Hughes
14'
Scrap that last update! Some slick passing and movement Richardson and Rodallega down the left opens up space for Dimitar Berbatov in the centre with the Bulgarian trying his luck from range to no avail
13'
Fulham being very patient with their passing without making much forward movement toward the Reading goal. The home side steal possession but Shane Cumming's over hits his cross towards Pogrebnyak
9'
Jimmy Kebe launches another brisk counter attack for Reading but may come to regret passing to Jason Roberts as the veteran forward halts his sides momentum. Ball eventually finds its way to the left but Jay Tabbs pass to Pogrebnyak goes out of play
6'
Shorey is involved at the other end as Reading counter, floating an enticing cross into the six-yard area that is met by Pogrebnyak, but the Russian striker can only head wide. Really should be scoring from there
5'
A deep cross from Kieron Richardson puts Nicky Shorey under pressure and the Reading left back plays it safe by heading behind for a corner
3'
Fulham could go as high as fourth tonight should they leave Berkshire with all three points and would make it the Cottagers' best start to a top-flight season in their history
1'
Fulham get us underway at the Madjeski shooting from left to right.
Good afternoon ladies and gentleman, and welcome to Goal.com's live coverage of this afternoons's Premier League clash between Reading United and Fulham at the Madjeski Stadium
Former Fulham striker Pavel Pogrebnyak starts for Reading today at the Madejski Stadium, with Jimmy Kebe making his third league appearance of the season for Brian McDermott's side.
Meanwhile, former Royals man Steve Sidwell is on the bench for Fulham today, with Mahamadou Diarra taking his place in the centre, as Chris Baird continued to give the side "a new identity" according to Martin Jol.
Reading line up as followes: McCarthy; Cummings, Shorey, Gorkss, Mariappa; Leigertwood, Tabb, Kebe, McAnuff (c); Pogrebnyak, Roberts
Surprisingly Adam Le Fondre is dropped to the bench by Brian McDermott despite a promising start to the season
Subs: Federici, Gunter, Pearce, McCleary, Robson-Kanu, Hunt, Le Fondre
Martin Jol keeps faith with Chris Baird after his winner against Aston Villa last week
Schwarzer; Riether, Hangeland, Hughes Riise; Richardson, Diarra, Baird, Duff; Berbatov, Rodallega.
It was a fairly even first half, with Fulham creating the better chances. However, they have been particularly wasteful in front of goal, with Mikele Leigertwood showing both sets of strikers how it is done.
Fulham paying the price for a sluggish start but posed a greater threat as the first half wore on and Rodallega should have restored parity 10 minutes before the break
The visitors will need to improve their accuracy in front of goal in the second half with three of their nine effort ending up on target
Reading shouldn't rest on their laurels in the second half if they are to earn their first win of the season. They started well but faded towards the end of the half. Utilising Kebe will be the key
If this game isn't headlining Football First and Match of the Day tonight i'll eat my hat. A thoroughly entertaining spectacle that had the pendulum swinging out of control towards the end
On the balance of play Fulham deserved to head home with three points. Ruiz's introduction change the entire complexion of the game but you have to hand it to Reading. They showed some bottle to keep plugging away after Berbatov appeared to stick the knife in just after they'd equalised
Still their late comeback will only paper over some big cracks. McDermott needs to address his defensive weaknesses before they head to fellow strugglers QPR next week, in what is already shaping up to be an early season six-pointer at the bottom
Fulham, on the other hand, can be encouraged by their second half performance. They too need to tighten up at the back if they're serious about finishing in the top seven.
