WHAT A MISS! At the other end, Kehl misses an even easier opportunity at Gotze fools two defenders and squares it to the skipper, who puts it wide. What a miss. That should be that.
90' +1
De Jong advances down the left and crosses, but Schmelzer's there to chest it back into Weidenfeller's path.
90'
Felipe Santana gets yellow.
WHAT A CHANCE!!!! How was that not a goal? Mlapa beats the offside trap and rounds Weidenfeller, but brings it too far wide, and shoots into the side-netting. That should be the 2-1.
89'
Santana picks up a booking for a clumsy tackle of De Jong as Gladbach look to break. Just 90 seconds left of normal time.
88'
T. Jantschke gets yellow.
Dortmund have another chance to swing it into the box from deep as Jantscke fells Reus just inside the Gladbach half.
86'
With Sahin on for Piszczek, Dortmund now have an army of creative talents, all of them camped outside the Gladbach box. Will the winner come, though?
85'
Weidenfeller flattens Schmelzer, his own left-back, as he looks to keep a free kick well away from goal. We're in line for a dramatic finish.
83'
What a save!!! Gotze dives it goalwards from just inside the box, but Ter Stegen sticks out an elbow to put it wide. The resulting corner comes to Kehl, who tries to hack it in, but is called offside.
82'
N. Şahin enters the game and replaces Ł. Piszczek.
The boos rain down on the referee as Rupp gets to the byeline, and looks to have won a corner, only to see a goal kick signalled.
Minute
Description
80'
P. Mlapa enters the game and replaces A. Younes.
And now Gladbach have brought on Mlapa - they're going for it just as much as Dortmund.
78'
BVB combine well down the right, and Gotze gets a brief sight of goal from a narrow angle, but blazes it into the side-netting.
76'
Whereas before, Gladbach were pushing for a second goal, the pendulum has swung back in Dortmund's favour, and the visitors are pressing for a winner.
74'
Gotze's corner falls to Grosskreutz, who flashes a shot over the bar, when he should have done better. He was really leaning back, rather than getting over the ball.
73'
Daems concedes the corner as Grosskreutz tries to slip in Piszczek. BVB have really failed to threaten from corners today - can they change that?
71'
B. Bajner enters the game and replaces M. Leitner.
Now, Dortmund have made an attacking change, replacing Leitner with Balint Bajner, who makes his Bundesliga debut. Can the big man find a winner?
69'
Well, Dortmund really have no one but themselves to blame, here, they dominated their opponents for all of the first half, but only came away with one goal to show for it. Gladbach have started the second half brightly, and, all things told, deserve their equaliser.
67'
A. Younes has scored a goal for Borussia M'gladbach!
GOAL!!! Gladbach are back in it!! Wendt motors down the left, and his cross takes a flick off Subotic into the path of Younes, who scores his first Bundesliga goal thanks to a deflection off Santana.
66'
Rupp makes a vital intervention to keep the ball away from two looming attackers in the box, and eventually clearing.
65'
Leitner digs out a ball towards Schmelzer at the far post, but Ter Stegen gets there before the left-back, and claims the ball well. Good idea, bad execution.
63'
L. de Jong enters the game and replaces M. Hanke.
And now De Jong has indeed come on, replacing Hanke as Gladbach look to find a route back into the match.
62'
What a chance!!! Stranzl is fine, and has the chance to equalise from a corner, but his header goes straight at Weidenfeller. Poor finish - he should have done much better!
61'
That was lucky!! Weidenfeller is forced to paw one over the bar as Nordtveit's drive appears to be flying over his head and into the top corner, but the veteran keeper manages to keep it out.
60'
Stranzl is down in the box, and does not appear to be showing much sign of movement. Luuk de Jong, meanwhile, is being readied for the hosts.
58'
Leitner gets down the right well and squares it to Gundogan, who wastes no time in shooting, but his effort goes well over, with the help of a deflection.
56'
A disastrous clearance from Santana gifts the ball straight to Younes, who shoots from 25 yards, but Weidenfeller plucks the ball out of the air with ease.
55'
Yet more adventure and industry from Gladbach, who stride forward with Wendt. The Swede lays it off to Marx, whose first touch is poor, and BVB scramble it away. The visitors are doing well to get men behind the ball.
53'
Grosskreutz is found in acres of space on the right wing and wastes no time in delivering a lovely ball, and it evades everyone in the box, save Ter Stegen, who claims it well.
52'
Now Dortmund have a free kick in a threatening area as Hanke and Rupp fell Schmelzer, and Reus is to take it.
Reus' free kick is tame and fails to clear the first man. That's poor.
50'
Again, Marx is found in a decent position on the right, but as soon as he gets possession of the ball, he's crowded out.
49'
Gladbach have started this half with a little more intent, advancing down the left, but Wendt fouls Leitner.
47'
That could be a big worry for Klopp & Co. Hummels always seems to do the business against Bayern, and they'll certainly want him on the ptich for the game against the Bavarians.
46'
Felipe Santana enters the game and replaces M. Hummels.
And it looks as though Jurgen Klopp is replacing Mats Hummels with Felipe Santana. The Germany defender looked fine in the first half, but apparently had a slight muscle twinge. Gladbach get the game back under way.
42'
Leitner tries his luck from 30 yards, but Ter Stegen is more than equal to his effort.
41'
We're approaching half-time, now, and the onus really is on Dortmund to grab a second. They've been in control for most of the opening period, but still have just the one goal to show for it.
39'
Gundogan receives the ball 25 yards from goal, but blasts it over. He's been fantastic this season, but still just the one Bundesliga goal to his name.
36'
A Dortmund corner falls to Hummels, who turns like a man far shorter than him and swings a boot at it, but his left-footed effort flies wide.
35'
Reus attracts the ire of his former fans by dragging down Ter Stegen in a foot race for the ball on the byeline, which the keeper wins nonetheless.
33'
Gotze wins another free kick in a threatening area, this time from Dominguez just outside the box. The German has really turned it on over the last 10 minutes or so.
31'
Penalty goal scored by M. Götze for Borussia Dortmund!
GOAL!!!! Gotze steps up to take the penalty himself, sends Ter Stegen the wrong way and finds the top corner. Dortmund have their lead!
30'
M. ter Stegen gets yellow.
PENALTY!! Dortmund spring the offside trap and play in Gotze, Ter Stegen comes charging out of his goal and takes down his international team-mate, picking up a booking for his troubles.
28'
A good string of passing on the edge of the Gladbach box culminates in Piszczek digging out a cross for Leitner, whose header is straight at Ter Stegen. You don't exactly expect the 5 ft 8 youngster to dominate the air.
26'
T. Marx gets yellow.
And now we've had our first yellow card of the game. It goes to Marx for a (very) late tackle right on Gotze's ankle. He can have no complaints.
25'
At the other end, Hanke plays a lovely ball over the top to Younes, who quickly finds himself crowded out by the BVB back line, who seem more secure today than in recent weeks.
23'
Another promising situation for BVB, there, as Piszczek plays it to Gotze, who touches it back for a team-mate on the edge of the Gladbach box, but the makeshift striker is called offside, correctly.
21'
Slowly but surely, Dortmund have been exerting their influence on this match. It certainly seems as though the opening goal is coming.
19'
CHANCE!! Reus tries to catch out Gladbach squaring the ball to Gotze from a corner, but his team-mate doesn't read his intentions well enough, and the hosts clear, but only as far as Schmelzer, who blasts it over from 30 yards.
17'
Gladbach really seem to be missing the influence of Arango and Herrmann. They're certainly their two biggest players, and whenever they go forward, they certainky seem less lively than usual.
15'
An agonising mistake from Jantschke almost lets in Reus on the left, but Ter Stegen gets off his line well to claim the ball and mop up for his team-mate.
13'
Reus tries to flick the ball over Jantschke on the Dortmund left, but can't get around his former team-mate. The visitors are starting to turn the screw.
11'
It's been a tough old season for Grosskreutz so far, but he had a fantastic opportunity to put BVB ahead there. There's no doubting his effort and work ethic, but he really has to improve his productivity in front of goal.
9'
WHAT A CHANCE!! Hummels players a lovely angled ball over the top to Leitner, who heads it back into Grosskreutz's path, but it Ter Stegen gets down well to save it, and BVB waste their first corner of the match.
8'
Reus is in a dangerous position once again, and finds Gotze on the edge of the box, but the Germany star is surrounded and is forced to check his run, eventually passing to Piszczek, whose cross is cleared.
6'
So, it's been an even start to the match, with both sides getting forward cautiously without really threatening. This one might need a goal to open it up a bit if it stays like this.
4'
Down the other end, Rupp gets the ball on the right hand side of the box, but loses it. He was in acres of space there, and should have done much better.
3'
Reus gets on the ball in a threatening position for the first time, and tries to play in Leitner on the right, but the youngster fails to use the ball well.
1'
And we're off. Dortmund get the game started, and immediately try to get the ball forward to Gotze, but it's scrambled away.
So, a fantastic encounter awaits. Both teams are missing key men, though. Will the absence of Herrmann and Lewandowski for either side be felt? Stay tuned to find out ...
Good afternoon and welcome to Goal.com's LIVE coverage of the Borussenderby - Borussia Monchengladbach - Borussia Dortmund
The teams are in, and, as expected, Marco Reus returns to his former home in the yellow of Dortmund.
And that's half-time. Dortmund spend the last three minutes of the half passing it around, and the ref blows up for the break. It's been a good game so far, even if there is just the one goal in it. There's still a lot to play for after the break - don't go anywhere.
And we're almost back for the second half. Just 45 minutes left for Gladbach to find a route back into this one. Think they can do it? Tell me YOUR predictions on Twitter (@eniskoylu!) Stay tuned!
And that's that. Kehl and Mlapa exchange howlers in the dying minutes, and it's all-square at Borussia Park. It was an entertaining game, but Dortmund will perhaps feel that they should have come away with all three points. Stay tuned to Goal.com for all the action this weekend. That's all from me!
