Into the final minute of stoppage time. Is there any drama left this afternoon?
That was the chance! Sansone drifts in a late cross and Parma have a two-on-one at the back stick but Biabiany's header flies wide. That should just about do it.
90' +1
Into stoppage time we go and Parma are livid! Lucarelli is penalised as a cross comes into the Inter area but if anything he was being fouled by Pereira!
89'
Javier Zanetti with a chance! The Argentine has carried this Inter side under their current injury crisis and he finds himself in unfamiliar territory in the closing stages as he tries his luck from inside the area but it's scuffed hopelessly wide.
87'
Benalouane joins the Parma attack as they search for an eqauliser. It's been a disappointing second half display from the Gialloblu after a strong opening forty-five and their awful run at San Siro looks set to continue.
86'
D. Galloppa enters the game and replaces M. Marchionni.
84'
C. Chivu enters the game and replaces T. Rocchi.
That goal could potentially take Inter up to 5th in Serie A. They haven't played like a top five team today. Andrea Stramaccioni wont care if the result stays the same though.
The goalscorer is replaced by Chivu as Stramaccioni looks to sure things up. They have six minutes plus stoppage time to hang on.
81'
T. Rocchi has scored a goal for Inter Milan! Assist by Jonathan.
GOOOAAAALLL!!!! TOMASSO ROCCHI SCORES!!!! I think this finish just about sums up what we've seen this afternoon. Kovacic is played in by the impressive Jonathan and his cut back finds an unmarked Rossi. The forward tries to place into the bottom corner, but the shot with his right foot ends up bobbling off of his left, deceiving Mirante in goal and flying straight down the centre.
79'
Just over 10 minutes left for one of these sides to find a potential winner here. It hasn't looked like coming in this second half but there is still time.
77'
L. Garritano enters the game and replaces E. Schelotto.
Amauri gets yellow.
Amauri is booked and he isn't happy about it. Th Brazilian feels he was fouled before he slides in but Damato sees the Parma forward as the culprit. A few choice words are sent the way of the referee as Amauri lets him know what he thinks of the decision. Probably not wise when you're on a booking.
76'
What a save! Biabiany is played in behind the Inter back line and is one-on-one with Handanovic. The keeper is quick of his line and is able to block the Parma player's chipped effort with his face. Big let off for the hosts!
Minute
Description
74'
Two efforts in two minutes for Parma but both are wasteful. Amauri is first to blaze over from a decent position, troubling those in row Z rather than Handanovic. Biabiany then follows suit by smashing over after shifting the ball onto his right.
73'
F. Santacroce enters the game and replaces A. Coda.
72'
It just isn't Schelotto's day, and the Inter fans know it. the left midfielder is roundly booed after his latest jape, which is to miscue the ball straight into touch from inside the area. No touch and no confidence from Schelotto today.
71'
Parma almost have the lead! Fantastic hold-up play from Amauri sees him clip the ball over the top for Sansone to run on to. The forward unleashes a rasping effort but it flies just wide. Biabiany was screaming for it wide but I think Sansone was within his own right to go for goal.
70'
Ricky Alvarez makes a perfectly timed tackle to set up an Inter attack but a few poor decisions sees the chance go to waste as Rocchi fires a cross over everyone and out for a throw.
68'
A short corner for Parma sees Marchionni send in stinging cross from the right. It can only be cleared behind for another corner. The away side are growing a little in confidence now.
66'
The corner is cleared easily but the Gialloblu have it back. They've soaked up what little pressure Inter have thrown at them in this second period, Donadoni will be wanting his men to sustain a period of threat themselves.
64'
Parma attack and Ranocchia is taking no chances. He heads behind for the first corner of the half, fully aware that Amauri was ready to pounce on any mistake.
62'
First chance of the half and it falls to Rocchi. Inter once more try and work it through the centre and Kovacic fires the ball in to the striker's feet. The ball bounces up and Rocchi swivels to hit a volley that has Mirante sprawling across his goal but it flies just wide.
60'
Inter look to have changed there gameplan for the second period. A lot of their play in the first half came through Jonathan down the right but the central midfield seem to have take the impetus for now, with Kovacic and Kuzmanovic seeing a lot more of the ball.
58'
Roberto Donadoni's side are enjoying their first real spell of possession in this second half. The opportunity to cross is eventually worked by the visitors but Marchionni's centre is straight into the arms of Handanovic.
56'
Pereira is holding his face after a tussle with Amauri. It looks like he may have been caught by a flailing elbow but it seemed completely accidental. In any case, Pereira is quick to get on with the game. Inter seem a little more urgent now.
54'
A little warning for Parma at the beginning of the second half. The Nerazzurri have started strongly, while the Gialloblu have yet to get going in this second period.
52'
He's Onside! Oh the linesman has got that wrong and it has cost Schelotto a clean run on goal. Ricky Alvarez plays forward a great ball over the top of the Parma defence but the play is called back for offside before Schelotto can race away. It was tight but he was definitely on!
50'
J. Valdés gets yellow.
Valdes is in the book seconds later for what appears may be a little stamp on Kuzmanovic. Valdes is rolling around on the ground but that wont curry him any favour with referee Damato and the Chilean is in the book.
49'
Á. Pereira gets yellow.
Booking for Alvaro Pereira as he hacks down Biabiany after giving possession away. He took one for the team there to prevent the counter-attack.
48'
Good direct start from Inter and it stems from a driving run from Kovacic. He runs through the heart of the Parma half unchallenged and tries to play in Schelotto. He can't quite find the left midfielder but the ball eventually works his way to Kuzmanovic who tries to cross instead of shoot, a decision which turns out to be the wrong one as there is no one in the box to attack the cross.
46'
J. Biabiany enters the game and replaces I. Belfodil.
The teams are back out in a sunny Milan. Which team will break the deadlock in the second half?
Donadoni makes one change at the break. Former Inter man Joanthan Biabiany comes on in place of Ishak Belfodil.
45'
No stoppage time and that will do it for the opening forty-five.
43'
Parma have just dropped off a little after Inter's recent pressure. They have all 11 players back in their own half for the first time in the match that I can remember. It looks like Roberto Donadoni will be happy to see his side come in level at the break.
41'
Less than five minutes left of a frantic first half. There may be no goals but you can't deny this has been enthralling stuff from both sides!
39'
Inter are in the behind Parma again here and this time it's Zanetti! he makes his way to the byeline but his cross is deflected into the grateful hands of Mirante as Rocchi comes looking for a tap in.
37'
Another chance for Schelotto and another miss! Great play from Ricky Alvarez to get into the Parma area and his cut back evades Rocchi but finds Ezequiel Schelotto steaming in at the back post. He is only denied this time by a fantastic block from Benalouane who shows great bravery to block the shot from point-blank range. If he'd got that wrong, it would have been a penalty.
35'
Contrasting joy for Inter on the wings. While Jonathan is having one of his better games in a Nerazzurri shirt, Schelotto on the left is having a torrid time. He tries to ignite an attack down the left but is easily dispossessed and takes a whack in his efforts to win the ball back.
33'
More space for Parma and another decent effort! This time Marco Marchionni picks the ball up just outside the Inter box and with no defender threatening to close him down, the midfielder strikes a powerful effort goalwards that whizzes just wide of Handanovic's right-hand upright.
31'
Inter try and respond down the right and once again it's Jonathan causing problems. He gets in a floating cross that Mirante comes to try and claim but he can't get near it. Luckily for the Parma keeper, his defenders are able to bail him out, getting to the ball before the lurking Schelotto.
29'
What an effort this is! Jaime Valdes picks up the ball on the edge of the area from a short worked corner. The Chilean shifts the ball onto his right foot before curling a sumptuous effort towards the top right hand corner. It has Samir Handanoivc beaten all ends up but the frame of the goal comes to Inter's rescue as it smacks the woodwork and comes out to safety. Beautiful effort!
27'
Parma threaten once more. Nicola Sansone turns Ranocchia inside out before firing low on Handanovic's goal and forcing the keeper into a decent stop. He's forced into a better save seconds later when Parolo lets fly and Handanovic has to claw behind for a corner.
25'
Another chance for Inter but this one isn't as clear cut and is eventually snuffed out. The Nerazzurri work the ball forward to Rocchi for the first time and he is able to hold up play and bring in Ricky Alvarez. Inter's in-form player tries to cut inside to make the shot but three Parma defenders make sure his effort gets nowhere near Mirante's goal.
23'
Parma have had difficulty finding the net on the road this season. They've netted just 13 times away from home in 16 games and they haven't scored at all in their last 205 minutes of Serie A football. That was before kick off so make that 228 minutes.
21'
Amauri powers into the Inter box once again and gets to the byeline. He manages to swing in another low cross but it's cut out before it reaches either Sansone or Belfodil. Parma came here with the intention to trouble the Inter back four and their certainly not giving them an easy ride so far.
19'
Andrea Ranocchia took a knock in the build up to that and is down in the Parma area. He's back up and on his feet, thankfully. The last thing Inter need is another body on the treatment table. To be honest, I don't think there's room!
17'
Big chance for Inter! Zdravko Kuzmanovic is bundled over on the left hand side of the box and the home side have the chance to swing in a cross. The ball in is a teasing one and it ricochets into the path of Schelotto via the chest of Ranocchia. The former Atalanta man has a glorious chance to lot home from six yards out but he puts it straight at Antonio Mirante. Bad miss.
15'
Sansone looks for the head of Ishak Belfodil but it's cleared once more by Inter's defence. Massimo Gobbi tries to swing the ball back into the area but his cross is wayward and goes behind from a goal kick.
13'
Parma now win their first corner of the game as Zanetti is forced to block a cross. Handanovic comes out to fist away Sansone's centre but the away team quickly win themselves another corner. Inter with a bit of pressure to deal with just now.
11'
More space for Jonathan on the right and again the Brazilian gets his cross in. It's aimed in towards Rocchi but the frontman can't get the ball under control. Really good opening spell for the Inter fullback, can his side capitalise on the space he's finding?
9'
Another foray forward from Jonathan produces the first corner of the match for the home side. It's an outswinger but it's nodded away at the front post by Alessandro Lucarelli.
7'
Inter scored one of their finest goals of the season midweek with a free-flowing move finished off by Jonathan against Roma. Some of that movement seems present today and Jonathan is more than happy to get forward in these early stages.
5'
Both sides with early chances! Amauri shows good strength to hold the ball up inside the Inter half and his cut back falls to Yohan Benalouane marauding forward from the back but his shot is smothered by Handanovic. At the other end, Kuzmanovic fires over for the hosts. Lively start.
3'
As ever, you can never tell how Stramaccioni is going to send his side out, even when the starting XI is announced. Javier Zanetti has pushed into a central midfield position as part of three-man midfield. Pereira and Jonathan are acting as fullbacks.
1'
Inter get the ball rolling here. They could do with a strong start in front of their home fans.
2013 hasn't been the greatest of years so far for Inter and their coach Andrea Stramaccioni. They've only mustered four victories in Serie A, they've been dumped out of the Europa League by Tottenham and last week Roma appeared to have hammered home the final nail in what has been a truly forgettable season for one of Italy's most established clubs by knocking them out of the Coppa Italia.. Can they turn their Serie A fortunes around against Parma today? I'm Harry Slavin and I'll be bringing you all the action from San Siro. Welcome along!
Injuries have been Stramaccioni's main cause for grievance this season, and while many coaches use their treatment table as a scapegoat, the Inter manager has a genuine case. The Inter physios are currently nursing back to health no fewer than 12 first team players.
We're about 10 minutes away from this early kick off so let's get some team news up ahead of the whistle, starting with the home side.
Inter slipped down to 8th position last night after Udinese beat Lazio last night courtesy of Antonio Di Natale's early strike. Inter could leapfrog both of them this afternoon if they win today. That is easier said than done though with a threadbare starting XI today.
Inter have lost four of their last five in Serie A, including two surprising defeats at home to Bologna Atalanta. Parma haven't won at San Siro against the Nerazzurri since 1999. They won't get a much better opportunity to end that run than today.
The teams are out and we are just waiting on the whistle of Antonio Damato.
HALF-TIME: INTER 0-0 PARMA. Inter should be ahead and their fans let them know this at the break with a few audible jeers. Schelotto is the guilty party, wasting two golden opportunities but at the other end, Handanovic hasn't exactly been quiet on his 300th appearance in Italian football. The Nerazzurri have a couple of fine saves from him and the woodwork to thank for going in level at the break.
Inter still have a bit of work to do in the second half then. They've created the chances but haven't been able to convert any of them as yet. Can Stramaccioni's men end their run of three straight defeats?
FOOTBALL FACT-ORY: Roberto Donadoni told the press his Parma side intended to attack at San Siro this afternoon, and it's easy to see why. Stramaccioni has never beaten Donadoni in two attempts, Parma coming up trumps against Stramaccioni's Inter on their two previous meetings with 1-0 and 3-1 victories.
FULL-TIME: INTER1-0 PARMA. It wasn't pretty, but it was effective in the end for Inter as they continue their search for European football and relieve some of the pressure from Andrea Stramaccioni. Rocchi's fortuitous finish wins it for Inter and they climb up to 5th in the table.
Roberto Dinadoni will be disappointed by his side's second half display but in truth neither side turned up for the second half. That's it from me for now, but be sure to stick around GOAL to check out reports, reaction and ratings from today's action. For now though, I've been Harry Slavin and thanks for joining me, goodbye!
