Benzema hits the post! The Frenchman receives the ball to feet with his back to goal and swivels quickly before turning a left-footed strike at goal, but it cannons off the outside of the woodwork!
89'
At 89 minutes in, we get our first real glimpse of what James Rodriguez can do as the former Monaco man takes on defender after defender before lashing a strike at goal. On this occasion though Zubikarai gets down to make the comfortable save.
87'
Bale floats a cross to the back post and Zubikari attempts to come through the crowd to punch away, but he fails to command his area and the ball falls to the feet of Ramos on the byline, but the Madrid defender can't react in time to direct a shot towards goal.
85'
Khedirraaaaaaaa! Just over! Bale whips a wicked corner kick into the six-yard box and the German shakes off the attentions of his marker before squeezing out a header towards goal, but his attempt just goes north of the crossbar by half a yard!
83'
Mikel González enters the game and replaces Xabi Prieto.
Third and final change from the Basque side as Mikel Gonzalez comes on to replace captain, Xabi Prieto, as Jagoba Arrasate looks to solidify the midfield with a defensive change. Madrid running out of time to get back into this.
82'
Isco gets yellow.
81'
Vela does brilliantly as he takes the pressure off his defence and midfield with a marauding run down the right-hand side. He eventually suckers Isco into committing a daft foul and the home side get the free kick deep in the opposition half, which I'm sure they'll take their time over.
79'
Kroos jinks past a couple of challenges in central area before shifting the ball on to his right foot. He looks to test Zubikarai with a long range strike but his attempt goes woefully over the crossbar.
77'
Arbeloa enters the game and replaces Dani Carvajal.
Ancelotti makes a rather strange substitution after going 4-2 down as he introduces Alvaro Arbeloa at right back in place of Carvajal. There must be an injury to the former Leverkusen man, as Madrid are chasing this game here!
75'
C. Vela has scored a goal for Real Sociedad!
GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLLL FOR REAL SOCIEDAD! THE HOME SIDE TAKE THE MATCH BEYOND MADRID!! Markel Bergara flicks the ball to the back post with a glancing header and Vela chests down before drilling a strike into the roof or the net! Four-two!

Description
74'
S. Khedira enters the game and replaces L. Modrić.
Ancelotti makes his first change of the match as he introduces Sami Khedira in place of Luka Modric. The German will certainly add some much needed industry in the middle of the park for Los Blancos.
72'
The ball is laid off to Bale which allows the Sociedad wall to charge down on the Welshman's whose shot deflects behind for a corner kick. Cracking desire and solidity being shown by the Basque outfit here.
71'
Bale gallops down the right wing and cuts inside on his left foot before popping a pass to Rodriguez. The Colombian fortuitously earns the free kick after an initial poor first touch. Set piece opportunity for Los Blancos about 25 yards out.
69'
Ancelotti is going to have to shake things up here. Modric and Kroos have been typically classy when in possession, but Sociedad have took advantage of a real lack of steel in the middle of the park from the visitors. Missing Xabi Alonso perhaps?
67'
Who would have predicted this scoreline at this point in the match after Madrid's excellent start! Sociedad have showed wonderful heart and dig to claw themselves back into this, and now find themselves ahead!
65'
Zurutuza has scored a goal for Real Sociedad! Assist by Xabi Prieto.
GOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLL FOR REAL SOCIEDAD! WHAT A TURNAROUND FROM THE HOSTS! Canales cleverly flicks the ball round the corner for Prieto who bursts to the byline before teasing a cross into the box for Zurutuza, who smashes home into the roof of the net! Three-two! Incredible!
63'
The Anoeta faithful are demanding a second yellow card be shown to Carvajal here as the Madrid right back clips the heel of Vela down the left-hand side. Probably the correct decision from the ref to let him away with it, as it looked totally accidental. The home side get the free kick in a decent position on the flank though.
61'
Modric opens up his stride down the inside right channel but uncharacteristically gives the ball away after a poor attempted pass to Rodriguez on the wing. The Croatian darts back into position as he looks to atone for his error.
60'
C. Vela enters the game and replaces Agirretxe.
Sergio Canales enters the game and replaces G. Castro.
59'
Sociedad make a double change as we approach the hour mark. Castro and Agirretxe are replaced by former Madrid midfielder, Sergio Canales, and Carlos Vela. The Mexican should add a little more pace up top for the hosts.
57'
Bale knocks the ball out wide to Benzema and the Frenchman attempts a Hollywood pass across the pitch to Isco, only to fire it straight out of the pitch. A pretty horrific attempted diagonal there from the striker, who has not had the best of games so far.
55'
Sociedad are really probing for a third goal here! De la Bella gets into an advanced position inside the box and slides a pass inside to Agirretxe, whose shot at goal is deflected over by Sergio Ramos, who goes off on one at his team-mates for not getting back!
53'
Carvajal is down once again after receiving a painful blow to the knee from Zurutuza. The former Leverkusen defender has been through the wars so far in this match, but once again it looks like he'll power through to play on.
51'
Sociedad have came out of the blocks well since the break and are just enjoying a small period of sustained possession in and around the Madrid box. No openings as of yet though as Madrid remain solid for the time being.
49'
Rodriguez, who has been pretty anonymous so far, collects the ball on the right wing before looking to pull off a switch to the opposite flank to find Bale, but the Colombian's pass has too much on it and Sociedad get the throw. Not the best game so far from Madrid's new signing.
47'
Important save from Casillas! Xabi Prieto clips a cross to the back post and Agirretxe peels away to the back post before heading at goal, but the left boot of the Madrid captain just directs the ball wide of the post! The hosts nearly take the lead!
46'
We are back under way at the Anoeta!
45' +1
RAMOOOOSSS! How has that not gone in?! Bale whips a teasing free kick into the box and the defender rises above Zubikarai to nod at goal, but his attempt whistles by the post! Los Blancos very nearly regain their lead!
44'
Pepe is under pressure with his back to goal but he gets let off the hook as Castro comes in with a late challenge to catch the Portuguese on the top of the foot. That looked a sore one for the Madrid man, but he eventually gets up after a quick inspection of his boot.
42'
Zurutuza's bravery for that goal seems to have cost him slightly here as he took a hell of a knock from the boot of Marcelo after scoring. He's currently down receiving treatment, but it looks like he can continue.
41'
Zurutuza has scored a goal for Real Sociedad! Assist by De la Bella.
GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLL FOR REAL SOCIEDAD!! WE'RE ALL SQUARE! De la Bella gets into a great position down the left and fires a brilliant cross into the box. Zurutuza wants it more than anyone else and bullets a header past Casillas! Great goal! Two-two!
39'
Isco receives the ball to feet and wonderfully spins Markel before bursting forward. However, a miscommunication with Bale sees the ball run harmlessly through to the grateful Zubikarai.
37'
Dani Carvajal is the first Madrid player to go into the book and it's for a poor challenge on Prieto just outside the centre circle. The Madrid man trying to exact a little bit of revenge on the Sociedad captain for his excellent contribution to the goal a few moments ago.
36'
Dani Carvajal gets yellow.
35'
Iñigo Martínez has scored a goal for Real Sociedad! Assist by Xabi Prieto.
GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL FOR REAL SOCIEDAD!! THE HOSTS CLAW ONE BACK!! A superbly worked set-piece sees a corner whipped to the front post and Xabi Prieto glance to the back post. Inigo Martinez is on hand to fire into the roof of the net! Two-one; Game on!
33'
A corner kick is floated into the box and the ball comes to Agirretxe who looks to make a sharp turn before getting the shot away. His attempt comes off the foot of Pepe and the home side get the corner!
31'
Good save again by Zubikarai! It's four versus three in a Madrid attack and the ball eventually comes into the path of Kroos who just looks to pass a strike into the bottom corner. Not a particularly good strike, and the the goalkeeper makes the block with his leg.
29'
We've got a small break in play at the moment as Castro and Carvajal are both down after an extremely nasty aerial collision. The Madrid man landed terribly awkwardly on his neck, but thankfully it looks as if he'll be fine to continue.
28'
Brilliant block by Ramos!!! A lovely pass is dinked into the box and Zurutuza heads back into the danger area for Granero to drive a half volley at goal, but the attempt is charged down by the Madrid man! Superb defending!
26'
RAMOS!! Nearly a carbon copy of the first goal! The Madrid defender out jumps everyone from a corner kick but this time he fails to get his header on target and send his attempt over the bar! Another warning to the hosts, though!
24'
Saaaaaaaaaave by Zubikarai! Isco skips past the challenge of Zaldua down the left-hand side before reversing a pass inside to Marcelo, who adjusts well to drill a strike towards the top corner, but the Sociedad keeper palms the strike round the post with a strong hand!
22'
Sociedad have just begun to settle down after that early goal blitz from Real Madrid, but they are still to pose any kind of threat to Casillas in goal. Not a shot or chance of note to speak of as of yet.
20'
Marcelo exchanges a lovely one-two with Benzema on the edge of the box and gallops into the box before finding himself with his back to goal. He quickly swivels and manages to get the shot away but it goes a yard wide in the end. He had passes on, but opted to go for goal himself.
18'
Bale opens up his stride and finds Carvajal with a neat pass to the right-hand side. The full back just checks back inside though which takes the pace out of the attack. Madrid still retain possession in the final third.
17'
Granero gets yellow.
16'
The first player to go into the book is Granero after a scything challenge on Carvajal near the right wing. He actually deserved a yellow card for a previous tackle on Marcelo, so he'll maybe feel slightly lucky to still be on the park. He'll need to watch himself now.
14'
The home side just have not settled at all well here. Agirretxe is terribly isolated up top as he attempts to get on the end of a barrage of long balls, which are being easily gobbled up by the dominant Madrid defence.
12'
Elustondo was absolutely left for dead in the lead up to that second goal, and he failed to beat Sergio Ramos in the air for the opener. Not the best start for the Sociedad central defender!
11'
G. Bale has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by L. Modrić.
GOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! THEY DOUBLE THEIR TALLY INSTANTLY! Modric plays the ball to the feet of Bale and the Welshman brilliantly nutmegs Elustondo before placing a left-footed strike into the corner! Two-nil Madrid, what a start!
10'
Ramos hits the bar!! Madrid have a set-piece on the edge of the box and the defender steps up to whip a brilliant free kick towards goal. His attempt cannons off the woodwork! So unlucky! Sociedad let off the hook!
8'
Marcelo stretches his legs through the middle and looks to release Benzema down the left, but is cynically tripped up by the retreating Granero. Surely that's a booking for the former Real Madrid man?
7'
Sociedad were turned over 4-0 in this fixture at the Anoeta last season, and they certainly haven't made the best of starts here. They'll need to pick themselves up quickly if they are to avoid another hiding.
6'
Ramos needs to work on his celebration though! It looks like he was impersonating a rat!
5'
Sergio Ramos has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by T. Kroos.
GOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL FOR REAL MADRID!!! WHAT A START FOR THE VISITORS! Kroos whips an excellent corner kick to the front post and Sergio Ramos rises above everyone to glance a header into the corner! He's such a massive threat from set-pieces! One-nil Madrid!
3'
Marcelo pops the ball up top and Benzema controls superbly on the chest before dinking a pass over the top of the defence for Bale, but the Welshman can't get beyond the defender and Sociedad eventually get the goal kick.
2'
Madrid start the match today in their rather fetching new pink-coloured strip. Let's see if it bring them any luck as they attempt to make it two wins from their first two league matches.

We are under way in San Sebastian!
Good evening folks! Welcome to LIVE coverage of the Spanish Primera Division clash between Real Sociedad and Real Madrid from the Anoeta!
I'm Martin Macdonald, and it is my pleasure to take you through the action!
This new-look Los Blancos side are aiming to build on their opening day win over Cordoba on Monday where Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo got on the scoresheet to seal the 2-0 victory. Since that match, where Madrid looked rather shaky at times, Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso have departed to Manchester United and Bayern Munich respectively, but coach Carlo Ancelotti still has a raft of talent at his disposal.
Sociedad have endured a horror start to the season and lost their opening match of the league campaign to newly promoted Eibar before being dumped out of the Europa League by Russian side Krasnodar.
Madrid have an impressive record at the Anoeta and put four goals past the hosts in the previous encounter between the clubs last season. Asier Illarramendi, Gareth Bale, Pepe, and Alvaro Morata all registered a goal in the routine 4-0 triumph.
Ancelotti's outfit were criticised for their opening day performance against Cordoba. The 2-0 scoreline arguably papered over the cracks of a static, tired display. Some improvement will be required tonight if they are to claim all three points against the Basque outfit.
TEAM NEWS...
Real Madrid (4-3-3): Casillas; Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; Kroos, Modric, Isco; James, Bale, Benzema.
No prizes for guessing the biggest news to come out of those line-ups. Cristiano Ronaldo is indeed injured and does not make the squad tonight as he looks to fully recover from the knee problem that has plagued him in recent months. Isco comes into the starting XI.
Real Sociedad (4-3-3): Zubikarai; Zaldua, I. Martinez, Elustondo, De la Bella; Markel, Granero, Zurutuza; Chory Castro, Prieto, Agirretxe.
Jagoba Arrasate has made three changes to his Sociedad line-up. Rulli, Pardo, and Canales all make way for Zubikarai, Granero, and Gonzalo Castro.
The teams have took to the field at the Anoeta and we are almost ready for kick off!
Half time at the Anoeta. Ancelotti's men made a blistering start to the match and went two goals up early door through strikes from Sergio Ramos and Bale. They were looking comfortable but have gifted Sociedad back into the match, with Inigo Martinez and David Zurutuza getting on the scoresheet to make it 2-2. A really interesting second half in store!
Full time at the Anoeta. Real Sociedad stage a wonderful comeback against Real Madrid to win 4-2 after going two goals down within the first 11 minutes. Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale got Los Blancos off to the perfect start but the hosts rallied before the break and levelled through Inigo Martinez and David Zurutuza. The second half was a relatively even affair but Zururuza again and Carlos Vela both netted to make it 4-2. Carlo Ancelotti has plenty of issues to sort out as Real Madrid prepare for life without Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso. Cristiano Ronaldo also gravely missed! I'm Martin Macdonald, thanks for joining us, see you next time!
