There is the final whistle! Atleti are victorious at the Bernabeu!
90' +2
Koke gets yellow.
90' +1
We are into the first of an additional two minutes! Atleti are close to achieving consecutive Liga victories at the Bernabeu for the first time in their history!
90'
Kroos bends in the free kick but once more Moya is off his line to pluck it out of the sky. He then launches Atleti on a counterattack with a great kick beyond the defence which Griezmann latches onto. He closes in on goal from an acute angle after shaking off the defender but fails to squeeze his shot inside the near post.
89'
Mario Suárez gets yellow.
Suarez gives away a cheap free kick for a tug on Modric, earning himself a yellow card and giving the hosts the chance to get the ball into the box.
88'
The free kick is sent into the middle and it loops up off the head of a white shirt. It offers Moya the chance to come off his line, leap up, and claim the ball.
87'
Ramos rolls his foot over the ball and then knocks it away from Koke. As he goes to move past the midfielder he is felled and earns a free kick in a dangerous position.
86'
Miranda gets yellow.
85'
L. Modrić gets yellow.
Suarez moves the ball well in the middle, drawing a foul from Modric for which the Croatian goes into the book. The free kick is a little too far out to shoot from so Koke clips in a cross but he misses all his team-mates and it goes out for a goal kick.
83'
Kroos must have left his shooting boots in the changing room! Another effort from the German sails harmlessly wide of the taget.
Minute
Description
81'
Griezmann tees up Arda on the edge of the box and he takes a touch before letting fly. He drills a low, hard effort towards goal but a white shirt gets in the way before Casillas is forced to make a save.
79'
A cross from the right runs all the way to Isco at the back post. He moves it onto his right foot but sees his shot have all the pace taken off it with a deflection before Miranda heads it out of the area.
78'
Mario Suárez enters the game and replaces M. Mandžukić.
Immediately following the goal there are changes for both sides. Raphael Varane replaces Arbeloa for the hosts and Mario Suarez comes on in place of Mandzukic for Atleti.
77'
R. Varane enters the game and replaces Arbeloa.
76'
A. Turan has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid! Assist by Juanfran.
GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLL!! ARDA FINDS THE NET! The midfielder has been threatening in the last few minutes and now he has his goal! Once more the ball comes in from the right, Raul Garcia dummies it and Arda sweeps a low shot into the far corner beyond. What a precise finish!
75'
There are just 15 minutes left tonight and this game remains very much in the balance. Atleti are looking more of a threat with Arda and Griezmann on the pitch, but Real are finding it much easier to create the opportunities. However, Juanfran's cross creates a gilt-edged chance for Arda in the middle but he heads over from eight yards out!
73'
SO, SO CLOSE! Griezmann feeds Arda on the left of the box and the midfielder cuts inside onto his right foot. He arrows a searing effort towards the far corner which shaves the outside of the post and goes out of play. Some finish that would have been!
72'
Isco enters the game and replaces G. Bale.
Ronaldo outleaps Godin to get his head on a ball from the right flank but from his near post position he is unable to divert it on target. Real have failed to make their superior possession for large spells count tonight.
70'
Modric does superbly to cut his way between Arda and Siqueira and head to the byline. He is caught on the heal by the Turkey international but the officials refuse to award him a free kick! That was surely a foul.
68'
Ramos attempts to spread the play with a raking pass out towards the right. He misjudges it, though, instead firing the ball out for a goal kick. The pass is greeted with whistles and jeers from the home fans.
67'
J. Hernández gets yellow.
66'
Atleti have been starting to show some initiative since the hour mark, pressing higher and committing more men to their attacks. This could open things up in the closing stages as los Blancos will try and exploit any space left on the break.
64'
A. Griezmann enters the game and replaces R. Jiménez.
There are changes for both sides now as Javier Hernandez replaces Benzema for Real, while Antoine Griezmann comes on for Jimenez for Atleti.
63'
J. Hernández enters the game and replaces K. Benzema.
Arbeloa gets yellow.
62'
Ronaldo loops a pass over the top for James but the bounce takes it away from him and he is unable to get to it before Moya. Hernandez is stripped and ready for action on the touchline, so the Mexican will make his Real debut shortly!
61'
A. Turan enters the game and replaces Gabi.
The captain, Gabi, is taken off now with Arda Turan his replacement. The yellow card he picked up will surely be a contributing factor to his withdrawal.
60'
Los Blancos counterattack after Atleti finally get some bodies forward to try and attack. They don't work an opening quickly enough so the visitors are able to get some bodies back into box. James clips a cross in anyway but Bale can't generate any power on his header and Moya is given an easy save to make.
58'
Atleti win a free kick in the opposition half and Gabi flights it into the box. Godin attempts to nod the ball into the middle with a great header, but Mandzukic is unable to do anything with it. The Rojiblancos really need to step up their game now.
56'
Atleti have all 11 men behind the ball and back inside their own final third. Kroos attempts to spray possession out to the right but he misjudges his pass and contrives to send it out for a goal kick. The hosts are continuing to control the game at the moment.
54'
Gabi gets yellow.
Now Gabi does find himself in the book! The midfielder gave possession away and as he tried to win it back he tripped James from behind and is subsequently shown a yellow card.
52'
Los Blancos try to play their way out from the back and after Arbeloa knocks the ball past Gabi the Atleti captain cleans him out with a cynical challenge. The referee awards a free kick, but the midfielder keeps his name out of the book.
51'
Pepe tries his luck with a thunderous effort from 30 yards but it is always rising and ends up arrowing past Moya's goal without worrying the keeper.
50'
The second half has continued on from how the first ended. Real are dominating possession and forcing Atleti deep into their own half. The visitors, meanwhile, are offering very little in terms of attacking desire currently.
49'
STAT: The last five Madrid derbies to be played after an international break have been won by Real Madrid. Will that trend continue this evening?
47'
James has a go from 25 yards out but he fails to keep the shot down, sending a swerving strike harmlessly high and wide of the net.
46'
Here we go! The second half has begun.
45'
There is no stoppage time at the end of the period as the whistle is blown for half time!
44'
Mandzukic helps a long ball on to Koke. The midfielder manages to bring it down in a central area and create space for a shot. He lets fly from 25 yards but fails to catch his effort cleanly, scuffing it wide of the goal.
42'
Ronaldo has been proving a real threat from the right flank tonight, and another one of his crosses earns his team a corner as it is cleared behind by Godin. Moya is not really tested from it, though, and Atleti are let off the hook.
41'
M. Mandžukić gets yellow.
40'
WHAT A SAVE! That is more like it from Benzema! The Frenchman gets up high and nods Ronaldo's cross low to the keeper's right. Moya reacts superbly, though, diving down and batting the attempt away from the goal!
38'
Benzema tries his luck, moving inside from the left and having a shot from distance but he fails to find the target. The Frenchman has looked short of his usual quality in the final third tonight.
36'
Kroos steps forward a little higher than usual and receives the ball. He shifts it onto his left and has a crack from 30 yards, sending a wild, wayward shot that ends up closer to the corner flag than Moya's goal!
34'
BENZEMA! THAT WAS AWFUL! Ronaldo does superbly to hold up the ball and slide it inside for Benzema to have a one-on-one in the centre of the box. However, his first touch is absolutely dreadful and possession gets away from him. Moya capitalises and races off his line to smother the ball, ending what looked to be a sure goal!
33'
Ronaldo comes out to the right and rather than driving to the byline, this time cuts inside onto his left foot. He lets loose with a shot at goal but he screws it harmlessly wide of the near post.
32'
Atleti have kept their heads after conceding that goal and are continuing in the same vein as that which they started the game in. They are proving patient, but their left flank has looked fairly vulnerable in the opening half hour.
30'
STAT: Real Madrid have won 28 of their last 31 home matches in La Liga.
28'
Ramos launches an attack from the back and continues his run all the way inside the penalty area. He tries to get on the end of a Ronaldo cross but is deemed offside, though it did not come to anything anyway.
26'
Penalty goal scored by Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid!
GOOOOOOAAAAL!! Ronaldo slots home comfortably from 12 yards, sending the keeper the wrong way and getting the ball just inside the post. A well-aimed penalty! We're all level!
25'
Guilherme Siqueira gets yellow.
PENALTY TO REAL MADRID! Ronaldo runs at Siqueira, stepping over the ball before knocking it the other way past the defender. He sticks a boot out and catches the Portuguese so the referee points to the spot and shows the left-back a yellow card.
24'
Atleti fail to clear the danger and Bale dinks a cross into the middle from the near side. Moya comes to claim it but fails to collect it under pressure. He is bailed out by his defence who managed to get it away before a white shirt can pounce.
23'
WHAT A SAVE!! Bale is the man to take the free kick, getting it over the wall with plenty of pace. It takes a slight deflection which moves it closer to Moya, but he does brilliantly to keep it out with a strong arm.
22'
D. Godín gets yellow.
Gabi loses possession in his own half, with James robbing him of it. The Colombian passes into Ronaldo who stabs it on with his first touch but is caught by Godin afterwards. The referee calls for the free kick, showing the Uruguayan a yellow card too. This is a great chance to level the game!
20'
James hangs a corner up by the penalty spot and Pepe gets highest to get his head on it. Craining backwards he is unable to get enough power behind the effort to worry Moya, who drops low to collect it without any worries.
19'
J. Rodríguez gets yellow.
BENZEMA!! The Frenchman attempts to catch Moya out with a brilliant early effort from 20 yards after a nice flick from James, but his shot dips just beyond the far post. The Colombian took a whack following his touch and following his complaints to the referee he earns himself a yellow card!
18'
Juanfran pushes up on the right and, after a couple of one-twos, finds himself on the buline. He cuts the ball back into the box but it is cleared behind for a corner kick which los Blancos are able to deal with fairly comfortably.
16'
Miranda's attempt to clear a bouncing ball as he jogs towards his own goal is blocked by the foot of James. It ricochets into the box but the World Cup golden boot winner is unable to beat Moya to the loose ball.
15'
Lovely play from Ronaldo out on the right! He chops inside and throws a couple of stepovers at Godin to create space from which to cross. He floats one to James at the back post but he does not catch the volley well, firing down into the ground for the ball to loop up and onto the roof of the net. You'd expect better from the Colombian there.
14'
Ronaldo affords Siqueira space to run and shoot from the corner of the box and he catches it sweetly. However, his effort is always rising and ends up flying into the stands behind the goal.
12'
Real look to hit back immediately with a corner from the near side but it is headed away by the Atleti defence. The hosts retrieve possession and look to probe down the left but Juanfran shepherds the ball out of play for a goal kick with Benzema all over his back. He claims it should be a corner but he's not fooling anyone!
10'
Tiago has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid! Assist by Koke.
Siqueira surges forward from the half-way line and plays a one-two with Mandzukic. The pass to the left-back is good but Arbeola gets to it first and knocks it out for a corner.
GOOOOOOOOAAAAL!! ATLETI LEAD! The resultant corner is clipped in by Koke and Tiago gets ahead of Benzema to nod it inside the near post! Poor defending from the hosts, but Atleti will not mind! They lead 1-0 at the Bernabeu.
8'
Koke puts a couple of great crosses into the centre, but the strikers aren't able to make anything of either of them. If he can keep those sorts of deliveries up all evening then the towering pair of Mandzukic and Jimenez could certainly keep the Real defence busy.
7'
Benzema lofts a pass over to Ronaldo on the left after receiving the ball from Bale, but the Portuguese is unable to get his shot away due to an awkward bounce.
6'
Gabi presses high up the pitch, chasing down Kroos as he receives the ball 30 yards from his own goal. He has a couple of hacks at the German and when he goes to ground the referee finally awards a free kick to the hosts.
5'
Atleti put together a few good passes on the near side after dispossessing the hosts but Godin's powerful pass out towards Koke is overhit. The midfielder cannot control the ball and it goes out for a Blancos throw.
3'
As you would have expected, Atleti are happy to let their hosts settle on the ball early on as long as they keep it in deep areas. The two lines of four that the visitors are holding when out of position are compact and disciplined, making it hard for Real to find a route through.

We are off at the Bernabeu!
It is El Derbi time again! We may have already had two in the Super Cup, but Real Madrid versus Atletico Madrid is a fixture that never fails to get the mouth watering. My name is Tom Webber and I will be guiding you through all the action at Santiago Bernabeu!
Atletico Madrid were victorious in this fixture last season as a Diego Costa goal earned them to a 1-0 win at the Bernabeu. It was their first Liga win at the Bernabeu since 1999 and it helped them on their way to a memorable title. Can they repeat the feat tonight against a Blancos side who were defeated away at Real Sociedad in the last round of fixtures?
REAL MADRID TEAM NEWS: Cristiano Ronaldo did not play for Portugal during the international break, and his focus on returning to fitness has paid off as he starts tonight. Sami Khedira and Dani Carvajal, meanwhile, have returned from international duty with injuries that keep them sidelined tonight.
ATLETICO MADRID TEAM NEWS: Arda Turan is Diego Simeone’s only injury worry and he takes his place on the bench tonight. The Argentine coach will not, though, as he continues serving his touchline ban tonight. Raul Jimenez is picked ahead of Antoine Griezmann and Tiago starts alongside Gabi in midfield, with Mario Suarez on the bench.
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Casillas; Arbeloa, Pepe, Ramos, Coentrao; Kroos, Modric; Bale, James, Ronaldo; Benzema.
Real Madrid substitutes: Navas, Varance, Nacho, Marcelo, Illarramendi, Isco, Hernandez.
Atletico Madrid substitutes: Oblak, Gimenez, Ansaldi, Suarez, Turan, Cerci, Griezmann.
As already mentioned, Atleti were victorious in this fixture last season. In fact, Carlo Ancelotti has only won one of three meetings with the Rojiblancos in the Bernabeu - a 3-0 triumph in the Copa del Rey last season.
Both Keylor Navas and Javier Hernandez would make their debut for Real Madrid if brought on from the bench tonight. For the visitors, Italy international Alessio Cerci would make his first appearance since signing from Torino should he be introduced from among the substitutes.
We have just 10 minutes to go until kick off. Let's hope we have another classic Derbi on our hands shortly!
The teams are making their way out onto the pitch at the Bernabeu! Both sides are wearing their traditional colours inside the full stadium. There's going to be a fiery atmosphere tonight!
Although Simeone will have to watch from the stands tonight, expect his team to put in a typically feisty display. They will not want to allow the likes of Bale and Ronaldo a moment of space, as that could be all they need to make a devastating impact! The pre-match formailities are over. Kick off is imminent.
HALF TIME - Real Madrid 1-1 Atletico Madrid: Atleti took an early lead through Tiago's header, but Ronaldo won and then converted a penalty to tie things up in the 26th minute. Since then los Blancos have dominated proceedings, with the visitors unable to get the ball out of their half for a considerable amount of time. El Derbi once again is living up to the hype!
The game still remains in the balance, as although the Rojiblancos have not seen a lot of the ball they can never be counted out. Join me for the second half in 15 minutes to see how this one turns out!
Welcome back! The teams have returned to the pitch so we will be back underway shortly.
FULL TIME - Real Madrid 1-2 Atletico Madrid: Diego Simeone's men surrendered possession for the majority of the game but still came out on top! Tiago opened the scoring early on before Ronaldo equalised from the spot. However, substitute Arda secured the victory with a cool finish in the closing stages, inflicting los Blancos' second defeat in three Liga games this season!
The champions pick up what could be an important victory, even so early on in the season, and already have a four-point advantage over their city rivals!
That is it from me, Tom Webber, for this evening. Thanks a lot for joining me!
