Into the final minute now and Reid now also gets a yellow card for a cynical foul on Ramirez in the centre circle.
OFF THE BAR! West Ham almost steal it at the death. Downing digs out a cross from the right that Valencia heads across goal. Dawson somehow manages to turn the ball onto his own crossbar and over.
90' +3
J. Livermore gets yellow.
Livermore picks up a late booking after lunging in on Song. The midfielder is slightly fortunate not to have been more harshly punished.
90' +1
Into four minutes of stoppage time as Song wins a free-kick 35 yards from goal, but Downing wastes the chance as he overhits his ball into the box and it floats out for a goal kick.
89'
Amalfitano almost does create something after combining with Downing on the edge of the box, but the former West Brom winger's low shot is blocked. Into the final minute of normal time now.
87'
M. Amalfitano enters the game and replaces D. Sakho.
Allardyce makes his final change of the night as Amalfitano comes on for his debut in place of Sakho. Not long for him to make an impact.
85'
Livermore looks to lift a cross into Jelavic's path in the box, but the ball is just too heavy for the striker. Still neither side is settling for a point here.
83'
The players are out on their feet now, with Kouyate the latest to look as if he is suffering from the frenetic pace of the match. This has been a superb advert for Premier League football.
81'
GOOD SAVE! Adrian again to the rescue for West Ham as Brady hits a low effort from the edge of the box that the goalkeeper has to push away low to his left.
79'
H. Ben Arfa enters the game and replaces A. Hernández.
G. Ramírez enters the game and replaces M. Diamé.
Bruce makes a double change as Ramirez and Ben Arfa come on for their debuts as goalscorers and fellow debutants Diame and Hernandez are replaced.
78'
Valencia looks to cut inside onto his right foot inside the box but Davies is across to make a fine challenge. The Hull defence aren't likely to give him any room following his earlier stunning strike.
Minute
Description
76'
C. Jenkinson enters the game and replaces G. Demel.
West Ham make their second change of the night as Jenkinson comes on for his debut in place of Demel.
75'
GOOD SAVE! Excellent again from West Ham as Downing crosses in fro the right towards Sakho at the back post. The striker heads across goal and McGregor has to tip the effort away from goal.
74'
Both sides are still going all out for the win, though it remains West Ham who look the more likely of the two teams. Hull playing on the counter now.
72'
JUST WIDE! West Ham almost take the lead for the first time as Noble tries his luck from 25 yards. The shot deflects off Livermore and drifts just wide with McGregor beaten.
70'
Robertson drives a cross in from the left for Hull and Hernandez looks to flick it goalwards, but the striker can't quite sort his feet out in time and the ball dribbles well wide.
69'
West Ham have all the initiative now following that equalising goal, with Song beginning to pull the strings. Hull still look dangerous, though, so we should be in for a superb final quarter of this one.
67'
D. Sakho has scored a goal for West Ham United! Assist by S. Downing.
GOAL!!! SAKHO EQUALISES! Just like that the visitors are level as Downing finds Sakho on the right-hand side of the area. The striker hits a weak shot that bobbles under McGregor and in off Davies. Yet more poor defending.
64'
M. Diamé has scored a goal for Hull City!
GOAL!!! DIAME RESTORES HULL'S LEAD! West Ham have shot themselves in the foot following a poor throw from Cresswell. Diame picks it up 35 yards from goal before bearing down on goal before curling a shot past Adrian. A goal against his former side on his debut for the midfielder.
62'
A. Song enters the game and replaces M. Zárate.
West Ham now make their first change of the night and it is a debut for Barcelona loanee Song as he replaces Zarate in midfield.
60'
A. Robertson gets yellow.
Valencia shows great tenacity and strength to win the ball from Robertson on the Hull left, and the full-back can only bring him down as he looks to launch a break. The Scot picks up a yellow card for his troubles.
58'
R. Brady enters the game and replaces S. Quinn.
Hull make the first change of the evening as Quinn is replaced on the left-hand side by Irish counterpart Brady.
57'
GOOD SAVE! Adrian to the rescue now as the ball falls for Hernandez on the edge of the area and the Uruguayan volleys goalwards from 20 yards. The goalkeeper dives across to his right well to push it away from danger.
56'
All happening now for West Ham as Cresswell gets forward down the left before driving in a low cross. Davies looks to cut it out but can only deflect it goalwards, but McGregor is aware enough to get across and keep it out.
55'
Downing chips it into the box where Reid flicks it on, and Valencia almost gets a vital touch to divert it past McGregor. Instead the goalkeeper can gather with ease.
54'
T. Huddlestone gets yellow.
Huddlestone dives in recklessly on Kouyate around 30 yards from goal and rightly has his name taken by the referee. Chance here for West Ham...
52'
West Ham deserved that goal not just for the way they have started the second period but also for their first-half performance. Hull must regroup now after that bolt from the blue.
50'
E. Valencia has scored a goal for West Ham United! Assist by S. Downing.
GOAL!!! VALENCIA EQUALISES WITH A STUNNER! Out of nothing Valencia trots across the edge of the box before unleashing a stunning drive from 25 yards that McGregor has no chance with. That is a fantastic finish.
49'
Again West Ham attack down the right as this time it's Sakho who can dig out a cross. Valencia can't quite get on the end of it, and though Cresswell recovers it, Diame is able to clear the former Ipswich man's ball back into the box.
47'
Demel has caused Robertson plenty of problems already tonight, and he delivers into the box again after getting to the byline. The ball flies over McGregor but Davies is there to head away under little pressure.
46'
No changes for either side at the break as West Ham kick-off and get us back underway...
45' +1
Into a solitary minute of stoppage time at the end of the first half and West Ham are pressing for an equaliser. Davies and the excellent Dawson are standing firm though.
44'
OFF THE CROSSBAR! Almost a brilliant second for Hernandez as he curls a superb shot from 20 yards over Adrian and onto the crossbar. The ball falls for Jelavic who heads home the rebound, but is rightly denied a third goal of the season by an offside flag. So close.
42'
West Ham win a corner on the right that Tomkins is able to meet at the back post, but the defender just can't get enough on it and the ball slides wide of the post.
41'
West Ham have reacted well to going behind and Demel almost creates something from the right, only for Davies to come across to tackle as he looked to cross into the area.
39'
A. Hernández has scored a goal for Hull City! Assist by Ahmed El Mohamady.
GOAL!!! HERNANDEZ BREAKS THE DEADLOCK! They've been much better in the last five minutes, and now Hull have their goal. Elmohamady swings a cross in from the right and Hernandez gets above Tomkins to powefully head home. A debut goal for the £10 million striker.
38'
Hull have struggled to really get going here, but Jelavic seems to have recovered from his knock and is becoming much more involved. West Ham need to get tighter.
36'
All of a sudden the game has opened up, and after Jelavic wins an aerial duel with Reid, Hernandez drives at goal from 25 yards but Adrian is easily behind it and clutches the ball to his chest.
35'
WHAT A SAVE! McGregor pulls off a wonderful save as Downing crosses from the left to the back post where Valencia is waiting. The Ecuador international heads across the six-yard box for Sakho to force the ball goalwards, but the goalkeeper pulls out his left-hand to somehow tip it behind.
33'
At the other end Sakho gets past Davies far too easily before looking for Valencia in the middle, and Dawson has to be on his toes to turn the ball behind with a sliding interception. From the resulting corner the home side can clear as Zarate breaks into the box.
32'
Quinn and Robertson look to combine down the Hull left but Demel is strong enough to see the ball out of play while under pressure from the former Dundee United left-back.
30'
JUST OVER! West Ham create the clearest opening so far as Downing trades passes with Zarate on the edge of the box before breaking into the box. The former Liverpool man cannot control his effort though as it flies just over the crossbar.
28'
After lengthy treatment Jelavic is going to try and continue, though he is still moving a little gingerly. Hull have no recognised strikers on the bench, so Bruce will be keen for his top goalscorer to stay on the pitch.
26'
Some concern here as Jelavic goes down clutching his knee and looks in some pain. The physio is on the pitch but it doesn't look good for the former Everton man.
25'
West Ham continue to look the most likely to break the deadlock, though neither goalkeeper has been tested as yet. The play in the final third hasn't been of the highest quality.
23'
Hernandez and Reid come together as they battle to win a goal kick, and Kouyate has to step in to calm matters down. Referee Atkinson eventually gives the striker a talking to following his part in the duel.
21'
Zarate picks up the ball on the edge of the Hull box and after a clever turn is able to get a shot away. Davies is out quickly to block, however, and the chance is gone.
19'
Diame wins a free-kick by the halfway line for Hull, and after the visitors get it half-cleared, Dawson delivers a cross from the right that just evades Jelavic at the back post.
17'
After a frantic opening the match has entered a little lull with both sides looking to get a proper foothold and find their rhythm. West Ham's midfield duo Kouyate and Noble are seeing plenty of the ball.
15'
Hernandez and Jelavic are being increasingly isolated up front for Hull as West Ham continue to dominate. Not the best start from Bruce's side after some promising moments.
13'
West Ham create the first half-chance of the night as Downing breaks from his own half before feeding Sakho, but the striker's angled effort is never troubling McGregor and flies over the crossbar. Valencia was waiting in the middle for a cross that wasn't forthcoming.
11'
Tomkins chips a free-kick into the Hull box, and after Noble's long-range effort is blocked, Sakho's cross from the right has to be headed clear by Davies. The visitors have certainly found their feet.
9'
Much better from West Ham as Kouyate breaks down the right before delivering a ball into the box, but Valencia cannot keep up with him and Hull are able to clear.
8'
West Ham come forward for the first time through Demel on the right, but the defender's cross is a poor one as it drifts straight over McGregor's goal and out of play.
6'
Some concern here for Hull as Quinn stays down by the far touchline after seeming to twist his ankle while looking to turn inside. Eventually the Ireland international picks himself back up and is fine to continue.
4'
West Ham just cannot keep hold of possession in these early stages, with the home side closing them down quickly in midfield. Diame already looks really up for it against his former side.
2'
All Hull in the opening minutes as they attack down the left through Robertson, and Adrian has to spectacularly punch the full-back's cross away with Jelavic waiting to pounce.
1'
Hull kick-off and we are underway...
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Premier League encounter between Hull City and West Ham. Both sides have made an indifferent start to the campaign, but after bringing in plenty of new faces late in the transfer window, they will be looking to kickstart their respective seasons this evening. I'm Tom Maston and I'll be guiding you through all the action from the KC Stadium.
Steve Bruce's side have recorded one win, one draw and one defeat from their opening trio of league matches, but having crashed out of the Europa League in the final qualifying round, the Tigers are now hoping to push towards the top half of the table. Bruce brought in four new signings on transfer deadline day, and hopes are high for a successful campaign despite their failure on the continent.
West Ham, meanwhile have two home defeats and an away victory at Crystal Palace from their opening three matches, but pressure is already beginning to mount on Sam Allardyce. The former Newcastle manager has vowed to bring a more attacking style to the club, but results haven't quite gone their way as yet. A win tonight is just what the Irons require as they look for a top-half finish.
Before we go any further, the two line-ups have been announced ahead of kick-off in just over 20 minutes time.
West Ham subs: Jaaskelainen, Jenkinson, Collins, Song, Vaz Te, Amalfitano, Cole.
Hull hand debuts to Abel Hernandez and Mo Diame, with the latter coming up against the team he departed just two weeks ago. Michael Dawson also makes his first Tigers appearance at the KC Stadium after making his debut against Aston Villa. Fellow new signings Gaston Ramirez and Hatem Ben Arfa are named among the substitutes as Bruce reverts to a 4-4-2 rather than his usual 3-5-2.
Allardyce has opted for Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho as his strikers as the pair make their first starts since joining the Hammers. Mauro Zarate looks set for a withdrawn role while Alex Song and Morgan Amalfitano will make their debuts should they appear from the bench later in proceedings.
West Ham have won just once in their last eight trips to Hull, though that run stretches back to 1955. In the respective fixture last season the Tigers came out on top as Robbie Brady's penalty secured a 1-0 win, though West Ham got their revenge later in the season at Upton Park with a 2-1 win.
All eyes will be on the strikers tonight, with Nikica Jelavic the only one of the four on show from the start to have previously started a Premier League match. He will be partnered by Hernandez, who only secured his work permit on Friday following his move from Palermo. Valencia and Sakho, meanwhile, will look to form an understanding quickly, with the former looking to bring his international form with Uruguay into the English game.
There is pretty much a full house inside the KC Stadium this evening as kick-of moves ever closer. The two teams have completed their warm-ups and they are due in the tunnel any time, with the atmosphere in the arena set to greet them as they make their way onto the field.
The two teams have made their way into the tunnel, with Curtis Davies and Mark Noble set to lead their respective teams out. After the international break both sides will be eager to taste victory for the second time this season in what should be a hotly-contested encounter.
The two sides are greeted by a superb noise from both sets of fans. Despite it being a Monday night plenty of West Ham fans have made the long trip to Humberside from east London, and once the pre-match formalities are over we'll be almost ready for kick-off.
The handshakes are over and the players are going through their final preparations. Can Hull's new system come up trumps or will West Ham find their mojo again? We're about to find out...
The half-time whistle blows and Hull go into the break with a slender lead. Hernandez's fantastic header separates the sides and he came so close to adding a second late on in the half. Plenty for the Tigers to smile about.
West Ham have certainly threatened, and more composure in the final third could have seen them leading at the break. McGregor brilliantly denied Sakho at 0-0 and Allardyce will be urging his players to create more around the box in the second period. I'll be back in 10 minutes to see if they can turn things around.
The two teams are making their way back out onto the pitch in Humberside, with plenty hoping the match can follow the pattern of the final ten minutes of the first half. Both sides look eager to attack, and we could be in for a thrilling second period.
The visitors cannot take advantage of the resulting corner as the final whistle blows, and in the end a thrilling 2-2 result is fair for both sides. West Ham impressed with their endeavour and more showings like that will ease the growing pressure on manager Allardyce.
Four summer signings found the net, with Valencia's strike the undoubted pick of the bunch. Both sides look as if they will be exciting to watch moving forward and have plenty to build on from this showing. For now though, I've been Tom Maston, and thanks for joining me.
