Guarin tries to clip it over the wall but it is nodded away and that is it! Full time!
90' +3
Bruno Gama whips it in high and deep which makes it easy for Handanovic to collect at his back post. Potentially their last chance of the game to get an equaliser is well and truly wasted.
Douglas clatters Icardi and Inter have a free kick in a central position 30 yards from goal. Guarin looks keen on this.
90' +2
Bruno Gama, who has been fairly quiet tonight, throws a stepover at Dodo and beats the Brazilian down the line. The move draws a foul for which the referee awards Dnipro a free kick.
90'
There will be three minutes of added time at the end of this half.
88'
Guarin works space for a shot from 20 yards but he sends it straight down the middle, leaving Boyko with little to do in order to keep it out.
86'
Oh no Campagnaro! The Argentine attempts to find the far corner with a trivela from the far side of the box, but his effort is closer to the corner flag than the goal. Just awful!
85'
The tempo of the game is beginning to slow now, but a quick pass up from the back injects some pace to an Inter attack. Jonathan is the recipient and he moves it out to Dodo, but again the Brazilian's cross is headed away by the defence.
83'
Kalinic tries his luck with an ambitious acrobatic effort following Fedetskiy's cross from the right but he gets it all wrong, ballooning the ball over the top of the goal.
81'
Kankava catches Dodo with a late challenge as the Brazilian looks to dart towards the other end of the pitch. The Georgian has chased the ball relentlessly all evening.
79'
N. Kalinić enters the game and replaces R. Zozulia.
Former Blackburn Rovers striker Nikola Kalinic comes on for the ineffectual Zozulya now.
Minute
Description
78'
D'Ambrosio strides up purposefully from the back and feeds Osvaldo at the top of the box. He cushions the ball for Icardi but the striker struggles to bring it under control and Dnipro nullify the threat.
76'
Jonathan enters the game and replaces Hernanes.
Inter do break, with Osvaldo dribbling into the box from the left. He beats his man but is unable to stop the ball from going out of play as Fedetskiy slides in.
75'
Inter are defending with everyone bar their two strikers now. It is enough to squeeze the space for the hosts while still offering a continual threat on the counterattack.
74'
V. Luchkevych enters the game and replaces Y. Shakhov.
73'
It is difficult to see a way back into this game for Dnipro now, having been reduced to 10 men. Inter's goal came soon after Rotan's dismissal and could well be enough to send the Milan outfit to the top of the group this evening.
71'
D. D'Ambrosio has scored a goal for Inter Milan! Assist by F. Guarín.
GOOOOOOAAAAAL!! D'AMBROSIO BREAKS THE DEADLOCK! Finally the game's first goal is scored! Fedetskiy is caught deep in the box after heading away Guarin's cross and Mazuch and Strinic are slow to react as the Colombian nods it straight back. D'Ambrosio spins into the channel before poking a finish past Boyko!
69'
There is a break in play as the Dnipro captain hands around to make sure the Inter man is alright, but finally he makes his way off the pitch. He's clearly not happy about that second booking, though.
67'
R. Rotan gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
Y. Shakhov enters the game and replaces S. Kravchenko.
Kravchenko is replaced by Shakhov now, with Dnipro making their first change of the game.
RED CARD! Rotan is shown his second yellow card for after a coming together with Guarin. There didn't look to be too much in the challenge, but that is his last involvement in the game.
66'
Konoplyanka and Strinic combine on the left but the former's floated cross towards the back post is nowhere near another blue shirt. He has been a real problem for the Nerazzurri tonight.
65'
Some nice interplay between M'Vila and Hernanes creates an opportunity for Dodo to whip a cross into the middle. Once more it is a poor delivery and he fails to beat the first man, with Douglas heading it clear.
63'
Dnipro are undefeated in their domestic league with five wins from their opening six fixtures leaving them two points adrift of league leaders Shakhtar Donetsk. In fact, their only defeat this season was in their Champions League qualifier against Kobenhavn.
62'
D. Osvaldo enters the game and replaces Z. Kuzmanović.
Mazzarri makes an attacking change now with Osvaldo replacing Kuzmanovic. Guarin will now operate in a slightly deeper role.
61'
SO CLOSE! Konoplyanka carries the ball inside from the left and tries to bend a shot around the defender and into the far corner. It is a great effort but it is just short of finding the inside of the post and goes wide.
60'
R. Rotan gets yellow.
Rotan has been combative in midfield but here he goes over the top, sliding in with a high foot on M'Vila. He takes the ball but the referee didn't like the challenge so takes his name down in his book.
58'
Dnipro have a good spell on possession inside the Inter half and string a number of passes together. However, every forward pass is met with another one sending it back where it came from as they struggle to penetrate the well-manned Nerazzurri defence.
56'
BOYKO WITH A TREMENDOUS DOUBLE SAVE! Juan's long diagonal ball is cleared only as far as D'Ambrosio and the wing-back cuts straight through the static Dnipro defence. He stabs a shot at goal and Boyko saves before getting back to his feet to bat away Icardi's follow-up effort! Sublime goalkeeping.
55'
A corner from the left almost catches out Handanovic but he just about manages to claw the ball away from goal. It looked to be heading straight into the back of the net!
54'
Hernanes eventually flights the ball into the box but it is immediately headed out of the danger area.
52'
I. Strinić gets yellow.
Strinic catches Kuzmanovic with an elbow as the pair contest an aerial ball. He isn't happy with that! The referee awards a free kick and the defender goes into the book.
51'
WHAT A CHANCE! Hernanes chips a sublime pass over the top of Dnipro's static defence and it bounces before Guarin meets it at the back post. He attempts to loop a header back across goal and into the far corner but misjudges it and sends his effort over the top. That was a big opportunity.
50'
Bruno Gama flicks a lovely pass to the overlapping Fedetskiy but Dodo intervenes. The resultant corner is bent into the centre and Handanovic comes to claim it, mopping up his spill before anyone else can pounce.
48'
Kuzmanovic gets a shot away from inside the area but the referee awards Dnipro a free kick as it was preceded by a foul on Douglas by Icardi.
47'
It has finished 0-0 between Qarabag and St-Etienne in Group F's other game, so whoever wins this game will top the group.
46'
We are back underway in Kiev!
45' +2
There is the half-time whistle!
45' +1
We are into the first of an additional two minutes.
Konoplyanka lofts a lovely pass over the top of the defence for Bruno Gama to run onto. Vidic watches it all the way, though, and manages to get his head to it. Handanovic comes off his line to stop it going out for a corner but fails to do so, however, it appears the referee has signalled for a foul. Moments before Guarin felt Inter should have had a penalty when his cross struch Mazuch's hand!
45'
Guarin is handled strongly by Mazuch on the end of the box and as he tries to spin his marker he drops to ground. He is irate and believes he should have a penalty but the referee signals for play to continue.
44'
Dodo picks up the ball on the left and looks to drive to the byline. Fedetskiy comes across and muscles him off it to ensure his side win a goal kick. The Brazilian suggests to the referee that he was pushed, but the official isn't interested in his claims.
43'
Vidic is absolutely dominating Zozulya in their physical battle. In his attempts to find space the striker is regularly moving into offside positions and thus bringing an end to his team's attacking plays.
41'
Guarin has been trying his best to link the play in the final third for the Nerazzurri but the hosts are compact and disciplined defensively. They are not allowing the Inter players much time on the ball at all and it is making it difficult for them to worry Boyko.
39'
That is great play from Strinic! The Croatian surges down the left, beating both Kuzmanovic and D'Ambrosio on his way to the byline. Once there, though, he overhits his cross and Fedetskiy is unable to pick out Konoplyanka when he floats it back in from the right.
37'
JUST OVER!! That is more like it from D'Ambrosio, this time clipping a decent ball into the box. Unfortunately for the visitors Kuzmanovic is unable to make the most of it as his header loops over the roof of the net.
36'
Awful from D'Ambrosio! He found plenty of space outside Strinic but upon receiving the ball he drilled a low cross straight into the arms of Boyko. He has to do better in those positions.
35'
Konoplyanka makes his way back onto the pitch to warm applause from the crowd. He still doesn't look to be moving particularly freely, though. It would be a big loss for Dnipro if he had to exit the game early.
33'
Bruno Gama moves over to the left and clips a great cross into the centre of the penalty area. Douglas rushes in to get his head on it but fails to keep his attempt down while colliding with Fedetskiy!
32'
Konoplyanka has stayed down following that collision and the medical come onto the pitch to give him the once over. He hobbles off the pitch holding his knee, and the substitutes start warming up. Will that be the end of his night?
31'
D'Ambrosio pushes up on the right and calls for a pass from M'Vila. The Frenchman's ball is intercepted and Dnipro break through Konoplyanka. The wing-back chases down the Ukrainian but concedes a fairly unnecessary free kicck inside his own half with a clumsy challenge.
29'
That first-minute shot from Konoplyanka remains the only effort to pull a strenuous save from either keeper tonight. Inter are beginning to assert themselves on the match more, but whenever Icardi receives the ball he is quickly swarmed upon by blue shirts.
27'
Z. Kuzmanović gets yellow.
M'Vila's treatment is complete and he returns to the pitch, restoring Inter to their full complement.
26'
Juan sends a lovely ball up to Guarin, who controls it exquisitely before laying it off to Hernanes. The Brazilian moves infield, drawing players towards him, and tees up Kuzmanovic for an effort from 30 yards out. He fails to worry Boyko, though, as his shot is blocked by the first blue shirt.
25'
M'Vila receives treatment from the medical staff and it looks like he has cut his lip so is forced off to the sidelines. He may need stitches before returning to the action.
24'
R. Zozulia gets yellow.
Zozulya catches M'Vila with an elbow as the pair contest and aerial ball. The referee sees it and awards the Ukrainian a yellow card and also gives him a final warning.
23'
Some good football from Inter as Campagnaro brings the ball up from the back and feeds Vidic. He holds it up before turning and passing into Kuzmanovic and the Serbian drives forward. He has options to pass but instead goes for goal and drags his shot harmlessly wide of the target.
22'
Inter do well to maintain their shape after Fedetskiy was picked out on the right. The right-back fails to find space to send a cross into the area and instead rolls it back to Bruno Gama. The Portuguese does manage to whip it into the middle, only to find the head of Vidic.
21'
It is taken short once more, with Hernanes sending it out to the right before receiving it back. He takes too long in possession, though, and is caught out, enabling Dnipro to launch a counterattack.
20'
Dodo does brilliantly to dispossess Bruno Gama on the half-way line and Inter eventually move possession forward to Kuzmanovic. He tries to turn away from the Dnipro captain but is caught and goes to ground, winning his team a free kick 40 yards from goal.
19'
The opening stages of this game have been evenly contested. Konoplyanka is seeing plenty of the ball and looks like the hosts' main threat. He is popping up all over the pitch and thus proving hard for the Nerazzurri to pick up. However, Inter have looked lively when Hernanes and Icardi have got themselves on the ball.
17'
Konoplyanka attempts to find Zozulya with a quick free kick from inside his own half. The striker does make the run in behind but the ball is sent closer to Handanovic than the striker. Still, he applauds the vision from his team-mate.
15'
Juan goes on a powerful run up from the back, beating three players before laying the ball back to Dodo. The wing-back whips in a cross from the left but Mazuch gets to it ahead of Kuzmanovic and heads away the danger.
13'
The Nerazzurri must have been working on their set pieces in training! Again it is taken short but the move fails to materialise in anything and the ball ends up rolling comfortably into the arms of Boyko.
12'
Konoplyanka chases back to help his team defend but tugs on the shirt of Kuzmanovic as he turns in the centre of the Dnipro half. The referee awards another free kick, but can Inter make anything of this?
10'
Inter's wing-backs must do their best to not leave space in behind them this evening, as Bruno Gama and Konoplyanka are more than capable of exploiting it. The Ukrainian pops up again here, clipping a cross into the box which is cleared only as far as Rotan. The Dnipro captain, though, slices his shot wide of the target.
8'
Konoplyanka shows his electric pace, sprinting past D'Ambrosio on the left and winning a foul from the wing-back as he tried to stop him continuing on with the ball. The free kick is drilled in low to the near post but Fedetskiy is just short of getting his foot on the end of it.
7'
Icardi peels away from Douglas and looks to latch onto a ball over the top of the defence. His movement is brilliant but his first touch lets him down, enabling Boyko to collect after rushing from his line to meet the striker.
6'
It is taken short and then clipped to the back post for Campagnaro to head across goal, however, the Argentine centre-back was in an offside position when the ball was eventually played.
5'
Hernanes turns on the ball exceptionally and drives at goal. He skips away from Douglas and is brought to ground by the centre-back, earning his team a free kick in a dangerous area.
3'
Icardi drops deep and looks to help on the play with a ball around the corner but he wildly overhits it, gifting the opposition possession. The hosts have started well here and instantly look to pen Inter back inside their own half. Konoplyanka drifts inside but his pass to the back post is blocked.
1'
We are underway in Kiev!
From kick off Dnipro move the ball out to the left flank. Konoplyanka brings it inside and unleashes a searing effort from 25 yards that stings the palms of Handanovic! The keeper is forced into his first save inside 30 seconds.
Hello and welcome to this evening's live play-by-play analysis of the opening night of the Europa League group stage. This fixture sees Inter, who return to European competition following their absence last term, travel to Ukraine to face Dnipro. My name is Tom Webber, and I will be your guide through all the action.
Both sides come into this game off the back of impressive wins in their respective leagues at the weekend: Dnipro won 5-2 away at Metalist Kharkiv, while Inter thumped Sassuolo 7-0 at the San Siro. Let's hope we will be in for another seven-goal thriller this evening!
DNIPRO TEAM NEWS: The Ukrainians welcome Ruslan Rotan and Roman Zozulya back from injury for this evening's encounter. Their introduction, along with that of Yevhen Konoplyanka, are the three changes from the weekend's victory made by Myron Markevych. Matheus is out due to illness and Bruno Gama retains his spot in the side following his hat-trick against Metalist.
INTER TEAM NEWS: Nemanja Vidic, who missed the weekend win over Sassuolo due to suspension, returns to the centre of defence with Marco Andreolli and Andrea Ranocchia rested. Mateo Kovacic is not in the squad and Pablo Osvaldo starts on the bench with Fredy Guarin supporting lone striker Mauro Icardi. Gary Medel is suspended for the Nerazzurri while Jonathan is only fit enough for the bench following a thigh injury.
Inter bench: Carrizo, Jonathan, Andreolli, Ranocchia, Obi, Osvaldo, Palacio.
Tonight represents Inter’s 350th game in UEFA competition. Their record currently stands at 174 wins, 86 draws and 89 defeats. Should they win this evening they will have won exactly 50 per cent of all their European fixtures.
Due to the volatile situation in Ukraine, tonight's game is being played in Kiev rather than at the Dnipro-Arena, which is located to the east of the capital city. Despite not being in their usual home, Dnipro will hope they can end Inter's unbeaten record against teams from their nation. The Nerazzurri have faced Ukrainian opponents on six occasions, earning a trio of wins and drawing three.
Dnipro have not lost in five European home games since the last time they hosted Italian opponents, when Fiorentina won 2-1 during the group stage of last season’s competition.
It is half time in the other game in Group F with Qarabag holding St-Etienne 0-0 in Azerbaijan.
The teams are out on the pitch in Kiev so kick off is just a few short moments away.
Dnipro are wearing their all-blue kit tonight, with Inter looking like another famous European team in a completely white uniform.
HALF TIME - Dnipro 0-0 Inter: Both these teams were involved in seven-goal fixtures at the weekend, however, there have been no signs of that prolific nature in front of goal tonight. Konoplyanka's first-minute shot remains the only worry for either keeper in an evenly-contested first half.
With the group's other game between Qarabag and St-Etienne still goalless, top spot is still up for grabs. Join me in 15 minutes to see if either side can seize the initiative.
The teams are making their way back out onto the pitch, so the second half will be upon us in just a few moments.
FULL TIME - Dnipro 0-1 Inter: The Nerazzurri were made to work hard but after the hosts were reduced to 10 men D'Ambrosio popped up with the only goal of the game. It puts the Milan side top of the Group F table as they get their Europa League campaign off to a winning start. My name is Tom Webber, and it was a pleasure to guide you through the action. Thank you for joining me!
