And that's it! The final whistle sounds and it's Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 Asteras Tripolis. Marvellous stuff all round.
90' +2
Spurs just need to hold on to the ball now but they give it away and Asteras have one last chance to test the replacement. Usero fires one in and the rebound is blazed over.
90'
Every Kane touch is being wildly cheered now. Chadli, Lennon, and Eriksen combine to ease the pressure by playing some nice football in the Asteras half.
89'
J. Barrales has scored a goal for Asteras Tripolis!
The Spurs fans are singing about Kane scoring at both ends. That's nice. There will be three minutes of extra time. The stand-in watches a shot ease past his post.
88'
BARRALES! Well this has all got a bit farcical. Kane lets a tame freekick dribble under him for an Asteras goal. He tried to save it low but got nothing much behind the flight of the ball. Not that he'll care after three at the other end.
87'
H. Lloris goes off after a red card!
86'
LLORIS IS OFF! The Frenchman comes very far out there to challenge Tsokanis and it appears he is fooled as the ball hits the Greek striker's back and clearly fouls him. Hat-trick hero Kane is going in goal.
84'
Fernandez is fouled by Davies trying to break down the right to give Asteras some relief. Spurs are continuing to press. They seem to have gained some energy and focus from the two late goals.
83'
A. Lennon enters the game and replaces A. Townsend.
82'
A. Bakasetas enters the game and replaces P. Mazza.
Townsend is now off for Lennon. That just seems cruel at this stage of the game, as Lennon's pace could tear into Asteras for the last ten minutes.
Minute
Description
81'
H. Kane has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by F. Fazio.
KANE HAS A HAT-TRICK! What a fantastic night for the young man. Fazio stands the ball up for him after Kane's initial shot is saved and he heads it forcefully down leaving the keeper no chance. He has been superb tonight.
80'
N. Fernández enters the game and replaces F. Parra.
Chadli wins another corner off the imposing Zisopoulos. Spurs have made good use of their set-pieces. They keep possession and Kosicky saves well from Kane.
79'
Parra is off for Fernandez as Asteras ring the changes in search of something from the game.
77'
N. Chadli enters the game and replaces E. Adebayor.
Spurs seem hungry for a fifth now and force yet another corner. Asteras have been sucker-punched with that Kane strike after all their efforts.
76'
C. Eriksen enters the game and replaces É. Lamela.
75'
H. Kane has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur!
THEY DO WITH THE SECOND ONE! KANE! The striker fires a right-footed shot in from the corner and gets just reward for his excellent performance. Another great goal.
73'
J. Barrales enters the game and replaces M. Rolle.
Tottenham win another corner after Sankare dives to head Dier's cross away. The home team don't make anything of it though.
72'
Asteras are taking off Rolle, easily their best player, to bring on a lumpy centre forward. The diminuitive playmaker has worked his socks off though and has been a genuine pleasure to watch.
71'
Adebayor challenges at the back post and wins a corner after Davies' cross is deflected. The full-back was found brilliantly by Dembele with a crossfield ball.
70'
Adebayor is offside for the fourth or fifth time after Kane slips the ball to him. Rolle then hammers a shot over Lloris' bar from deep.
68'
LLORIS! What a save, plunging to his left from Usero's volley. That was exceptional goalkeeping from the Spurs captain.
67'
Asteras win it back and keep the ball for a whole minute, before conceding a throw, which Dier takes. They hand the iniative back to the visitors though.
66'
É. Lamela has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur!
Tottenham try to break through Davies who looks for Adebayor but Asteras do well to force it out. Dier gets into trouble but Parra is tackled by Fazio and Tottenham go through the gears again.
64'
LAMELA!! He bags his second with a beautiful volleyed left foot shot rebound from his own right footed effort. He has had quite a game tonight.
63'
Adebayor is again offside. He has had a frustrating night though he has worked hard to create space for the others.
61'
Townsend wins a free-kick out wide on the right after a neat interchange with Dier is halted by a foul. His effort doesn't clear the first man and Asteras win a throw.
59'
Kane brings a smart save from Kosicky. A lovely run from Lamela finds Adebayor, who tees up the young English striker. Kosicky spills the save but the Spurs player following up is offside.
58'
Dembele is unlucky to concede a freekick for a challenge on Rolle. Tsokanis crosses low and well but it's cleared. Asteras are the better team at the moment, mostly because Tottenham seem to be rushing everything. Maybe the first half goals went to their head a bit?
56'
A great pass from Kane releases Adebayor but he loses the ball. The home team need to find that early second half rhythm and control again.
55'
A slight shout for handball as Fazio forces a Mazza cross out for a corner. Asteras are building the pressure here and Tottenham need some time on the ball.
54'
Adebayor clears Rolle's corner but Mazza sends it in again. Tottenham defend well and Mazza is again offside when the ball is played wide for another cross.
53'
Rolle falls over but somehow manages to find Manufo Horta, who tries to spring Parra. Asteras have not given up and win a corner, which Lamela clears. Lluy thumps a shot in and Kane clears well for another corner.
52'
Asteras burst forward on the break and Rolle looks to have found Mazza in space but he is just offside. Spurs still look a bit fragile when the Greeks spring forwards at pace.
51'
Dembele surges forwards and finds Capoue. Lamela finds Adebayor who looks to flick it in to run onto himself. Sankare flails at it and Tottenham win a corner. The corner comes to nothing.
50'
Lamela whips it in to Fazio but he loses out and Lluy scampers forwards to cross. Uerso strikes it and it cannons around a bit. Vertonghen seems baffled by the bounce but clears.
49'
Dembele gives it to Usero but wins it back. Adebayor is thumped by Sankare and Spurs have a free-kick. Too far for a Rabona?
48'
Capoue's ball wide is too long for Dier but that was a good passage of play from Spurs, who look settled and confident.
47'
Lloris hammers it forwards to Kane. Tottenham retain it and are comfortable to pass it around the back before Dier and Adebayor link to find Townsend. He finds Adebayor who knocks it back well to Lamela, whose shot is well-blocked.
45'
Asteras want to take the free-kick but the referee decides enough is enough and blows for half-time. It's Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Asteras Tripolis.
And they're off again for the second half! Spurs will look to build on a decent first half and push on further. They start well, pinging the ball around.
44'
Zisopoulos manages to cut out an incisive Lamela through-ball, Capoue hits a pass wide first time to keep the move alive, but then Adebayor drifts offside.
43'
Sankare takes a chance at the back, trying to dribble round Lamela. Fortunately, the quick winger is worse at tackling than the large centre-back is at dribbling. Asteras bring it forward but the long ball to Parra is too swift and Lloris mops up.
42'
Rolle makes a lovely run through several Tottenham players. Asteras are certainly not giving this one up and have had some of their most sustained attacking pressure. Capoue breaks it up though and looks to release Kane, who can't quite get it.
41'
Rolle bends this one in from the left but Lloris gathers easily towards his back post.
40'
Asteras win a corner after Rolle finds Mazza. Sankare nods it back to Lluy who hits a firm shot. It's deflected behind for another corner.
39'
Townsend swings a lovely shot off his left foot, curling away from the keeper, but it just misses. Trademark Townsend. Spurs are dominant here, but the Asteras break is always one bad pass away.
37'
A. Panteliadis gets yellow.
Dembele somehow rides several challenges and evades the clutches of two Asteras players, only to fluff his pass. The ball eventually finds Adebayor, but the forward has been fairly anonymous and does nothing to change that, miscontrolling and handing possession back to the away side.
36'
Panteliadis is going to be booked for a naughty hack on Kane to break up another Tottenham attack.
34'
That was a clumsy, silly tackle from Lamela on Usero. Not malicious, but ill-timed. Rolle wastes another free-kick and Lamela wins the ball. He looks to release Kane but the big Englishman is offside.
33'
Lluy halts Lamela with a great tackle and bursts forwards. A few neat passes result in a cross which nearly finds Parra, but Vertonghen nips in and heads clear.
32'
Pochettino appeared entirely unmoved by Lamela's wonder-strike. But then he was a gritty defender himself. I am still reeling from that goal. Rolle sends in another free-kick from deep but an Asteras player had wandered offside.
30'
If Tottenham wanted a confidence boost, then they've got it now. 2-0 up and, a few scares aside, cruising, it is key for the home team to dominate possession now.
29'
É. Lamela has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur!
WHAT WAS THAT? LAMELA!! That was an extraordinary goal. That was one of those kick-from-behind-the-legs Rabona things and electric and beautiful. I have not seen a goal scored like that ever before. Wow.
28'
PARRA! How did he not score? Firstly, Lloris rushed out to save high then Ben Davies flung himself at the rebound when the Asteras forward seemed destined to score. Superb defence, but Tottenahm were opened up there.
26'
Spurs eventually take a throw-in and Lamela gives it away. There is some pinging back and forth in the middle and Asteras try to play it around the back to up their possession stats.
24'
Asteras have a free-kick which Rolle delivers into the Spurs box. Zisopoulos rises highest, beard and all, but heads over from ten yards or so out. Not a great chance, but presentable.
22'
CAPOUE! A lovely ball from Kane finds Capoue galloping into the box, but Kosicky dives at the midfielder's feet and saves well. That was a great chance.
21'
Townsend wins a free-kick from Rolle out wide. Davies will whip this in with his left. Usero heads clear but Spurs win the throw-in.
20'
Rolle shoots from distance but it is tame and Lloris gathers easily. That sort of effort will not worry Spurs.
18'
Townsend embarks on one of those slaloming runs, finds Lamela, who links with Davies, before the move breaks down with Adebayor. Kane's early goal has given Tottenham the confidence to try playing some football.
16'
A lovely cross from Dier, as the Spurs' full-back again finds a lot of room out wide. That will be important as both Lamela and Townsend have a tendancy to drift in.
15'
Lloris sweeps the ball out to Dier, showing the sort of passing range that makes him such a fine sweeper-keeper. The away team break the move up by pressing Dembele but they can't seem to hold onto the ball once they win it.
14'
Asteras look to come back immediately. Rolle pings in a deep cross but the Spurs centre-backs will deal with that all day long. Asteras look tricky breaking fast with the ball on the ground. The home side won't be worried about much else.
13'
H. Kane has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by É. Capoue.
KANE! That is a beautifully neat goal! The ball is played across and Kane gets himself some space and fires a sweet shot to Kosicky's right. Fantastic start for Spurs!
11'
Kane hassles and presses Zisopoulos well but ends up falling over the advertising boards as reward for his efforts. The home team's confidence is growing after that early scare from Mazza. The key will be Capoue and Dembele's ability to stop Asteras on the break.
9'
Ben Davies concedes a free-kick to stop an Asteras break after Kane miscontrols an over-hit pass. Both teams look decent and there's not much to choose between them at the moment.
8'
The home team have found some rhythm and Dier and Davies are both getting forward well from full-back. Kane is offering himself to create link-up play and Tottenham look reasonable going forward.
7'
Tottenham are in the ascendency and Zisopoulos manages to save a corner with an acrobatic clearance. Spurs can't feed off the scraps and it's a goal-kick to Asteras.
5'
Davies whips it in and Usero heads clear. Lamela bends in a beautiful, low ball but Asteras break from the clearance and Llors has to save well, low and to his right, from Mazza.
4'
Davies unleashes Lamela who hares forward and wins a throw-in. From the resulting play, Tottenham win a free-kick in a position pretty close to a corner.
3'
Asteras captain Usero is harrying and keeping the ball well. The Greeks will look to use Rolle to pull the strings. So far, Tottenham have barely touched the ball.
2'
The Greeks are stroking it around nicely in these opening moments, keeping the ball low and moving it around with pace.
A woeful pass from Dembele hands the advantage to the away team early on. Spurs will be hoping that hasn't set a tone. The home team win it back and look to settle but quickly cede advantage again.
1'
And they're off! Spurs are in white and the Greek side are in a fetching combination of yellow and blue. Tottenham get us underway.
Good evening everyone and welcome to tonight's LIVE Europa League game Tottenham Hotspur vs Asteras Tripolis
Tonight's game pits the Greek side, who are top of Group C with four points, against a Spurs side struggling to find their form in Europe and at home and coming off the back of a 4-1 loss to Manchester City.
I'm Alex Stewart and I'll be bringing you all the action LIVE from tonight's clash at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham bench: Vorm, Chiriches, Lennon, Chadli, Eriksen, Soldado, Stambouli.
Spurs have made six changes, bringing in Kane for Soldado, Dembele for Mason, and Townsend for Chadli. Lamela and Towsend will cut in from wide with Adebayor dropping to link and Kane bustling up front.
Asteras Tripolis are not a side full of household names and they have found playing away in Europe tricky; they are yet to win on the road. However, Tottenham's only defeat in a home group game in the Europa League ever came against PAOK, another Greek team.
The home team's manager Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to see his team find some fluency and spark against a much weaker team and he will also be hoping some of the players challenge for first team berths this weekend.
Whatever happens, it promises to be an intriguing contest and you can follow all the action here, LIVE
The players are out to do their pre-match standing about looking serious and the game kicks off in three minutes. It's Tottenham Hotspur vs Asteras Tripolis!
A good rather than great half, then, from the home team, but one illuminated by one very good goal and a sublime strike. Kane's sweet, low strike was bettered by Lamela's audacious Rabona, which was hit from deeper and with more curl than I've seen before. Astonishing.
It's been far from one-sided though, despite those two Tottenham goals. Asteras look swift and dangerous on the break and have caused a couple of issues from set-pieces too. Rolle is a good player but Parra looks one-paced up front and hasn't posed Vertonghen and Fazio enough problems.
Capoue and Dembele have not managed to impose themselves enough defensively. Given Pochettino's preferred style of play, it will concern him that his team are unable to press and win the ball back quickly enough. Spurs' midfield have looked good going forwards though and the full-backs are providing excellent width.
The one genuine downer has been the anonymous performance of Adebayor, who has contributed little except being caught offside a few times. I wouldn't be surprised if he was replaced by Soldado or even Eriksen, who might drop deep and give Spurs a bit more in midfield.
A scintillating game from White Hart Lane finishes 5-1 to the home team. The headlines will be stolen by Harry Kane's hat-trick, but Erik Lamela's superb contribution was marked by the goal of the night and, possibly, the competition.
Spurs always looked vulnerable on the break, though, and Asteras would have provided a sterner test if Parra and Mazza had done more with early chances. Rolle was impressive in the middle but, too often, the visitors lacked a cutting edge when it mattered.
Spurs will take a lot from five goals but Pochettino wil be worried about the vulnerability of his team to quick breaks. He will also be without his captain in the next match as Lloris will be suspended. There was nothing malicious about the keeper's challenge, but it was a foul outside the box.
Thanks for joining me for tonight's Europa League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Asteras Tripolis. I've been Alex Stewart and I look forward to seeing you again soon. Goodnight!
But tonight belongs to Harry Kane and his hat-trick, throughly deserved for all his hard work and strong running. His finishing was also fantastic. Just don't talk about his goal-keeping.
