With Adrian looking worried, West Ham are lucky not to have conceded there, Collins switched off for a second and the Man City striker nearly made him pay.
23'

The England international has the wind knocked out of him, but should be fine to continue.

Hello and welcome to live coverage of West Ham against Manchester City in the Premier League's early kick off, with Manuel Pellegrini's side looking to make ground on Chelsea before Jose Mourinho's men face Manchester United tomorrow. Sam Allardyce's system and new signings have masterminded good form for the Hammers, with today's hosts currently sitting in fourth place.
TEAM NEWS: Enner Valencia and the clinical Diafra Sakho start up top for West Ham in an offensively minded line-up, with Stewart Downing and Morgan Amalfitano offering quality in wide areas. James Collins and Winston Reid will have plenty to worry about in defence, with on-loan right-back Carl Jenkinson slotting in at full-back. Mauro Zarate, Guy Demel and Andy Carroll are absent through injury.
TEAM NEWS: Gael Clichy and Pablo Zabaleta are Pellegrini's preferred full-backs, while Fernando slots into the centre of midfield to provide some bite. Jesus Navas and David Silva possess the quality and creativity to create from wider areas, while Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko provide a notable threat up top. Samir Nasri and Frank Lampard are unavailable through injury, but there is still plenty of quality on the bench for Man City.
West Ham substitutes: Nolan, Kouyate, Vaz Te, O'Brien, Jaaskelainen, Poyet, Cole.
Man City substitutes: Sagna, Milner, Kolarov, Caballero, Fernandinho, Demichelis, Jovetic.
I'm Simon Harrison and I will be keeping you up to date with proceedings at the Boleyn Ground, as the home side attempt to extend a run which has seen them suffer only one defeat in their last five matches. Man City have been strong too, however, with the Citizens unbeaten in seven consecutive competitive games.
Man City starting line-up (4-4-2): Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Mangala, Clichy; Navas, Toure, Fernando, Silva; Dzeko, Aguero.
West Ham starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Adrian; Jenkinson, Reid, Collins, Cresswell; Amalfitano, Song, Noble; Downing; Sakho, Valencia.
HALF TIME! West Ham are given a standing ovation by their home fans at the end of the opening 45 minutes, with Amalfitano's finish remaining the only difference between the two sides on the scoreboard. On the field, however, the Hammers have been more competitive, with Valencia and Sakho running riot, while the Citizens look potentially drained from their midweek Champions League travels.
Be sure to rejoin us in ten minutes time for all of the second half action, as West Ham bid to cause an upset against Pellegrini's supposed title challengers. Man City need to go back to the drawing board at the interval and come out fighting.
FULL TIME! West Ham triumph with a 2-1 home win over Man City, with the hosts just about able to weather the storm at the end to earn a brilliant three points against last season's Premier League champions. Goals from Amalfitano and Sakho were enough for the Hammers, with Silva's excellent reply in vain.
Allardyce's men continue their excellent start to the season, with their new signings shining to maintain their stay in fourth place. Valencia, Sakho and Song were immense for the Hammers, while Man City just couldn't find the equaliser late on - with some heroics from Collins and Adrian required. That's all that we have time for from the Premier League's early kick off, I've been Simon Harrison and I hope to see you again next time!
