Sweden get the ball forward as Guidetti looks to find the run of Forsberg on the edge of the box, but Sagna comes across to make the interception with Varane out of position. That may well be Sweden's last chance.
90'
France again threaten from a set-piece as Griezmann's left-wing corner eventually makes its way to Sagna on the edge of the box, but his powerful drive goes narrowly over the crossbar.
88'
France look to bring the ball forward down the left, and once again Digne is subjected to plenty of boos from the home fans. Disappointing from the Marseille faithful.
86'
E. Forsberg enters the game and replaces A. Kačaniklić.
OVER THE BAR! BENZEMA MISSES! Heads in hands all around the stadium as Benzema goes to place the ball in the top corner, and with Isaksson having gone the wrong way, he can only watch as the ball disappears into the crowd behind the goal.
85'
O. Wendt gets yellow.
PENALTY TO FRANCE! Sweden falling apart now as Wendt is penalised for handball in the box, and Les Bleus can put this game to bed. Benzema steps up...
84'
R. Varane has scored a goal for France! Assist by A. Griezmann.
GOAL!!! VARANE BREAKS THE DEADLOCK! He has been a threat from set-pieces all night, and eventually Varane finds the net. Wearing the captain's armband, he rises highest at the near post from Griezmann's corner, and Isaksson is. for once, powerless to keep it out.
81'
France waste a free-kick opprotunity as the ball eventually falls to Digne, but his angled drive from the edge of the area is blocked by a Sweden defender. The hosts have done everything but score this evening.
79'
GOOD SAVE! France starting to throw everything at Sweden now, and Sissoko breaks into the area before shooting, but Isaksson stands up well to parry the ball away.
78'
L. Digne enters the game and replaces L. Kurzawa.
Digne is the man brought on to replace Kurzawa, with plenty of boos from the home fans for the Paris Saint-Germain defender. Laurent Blanc's players are not the most popular in Marseille given the two clubs' rivalry.
76'
Kurzawa looks as though he will have to come off as he clutches his hamstring under no challenge whatsoever. That is a shame for the Monaco full-back after an encouraging display.
Minute
Description
74'
Despite their changes, France are struggling to break the visitors down and create anything to test Isaksson. The goalkeeper has only really made three saves all evening.
72'
Sweden remain a threat in this game and they work the ball nicely out to Wendt on the left-hand side, but his low cross is too close to Mandanda and he holds on well.
70'
Lacazette has come onto the left-hand side and does well to win a free-kick from Wendt right on the edge of the area. Benzema fancies his chances despite the tight angle, but his curling effort is floated harmlessly wide.
68'
K. Benzema enters the game and replaces A. Gignac.
A. Lacazette enters the game and replaces M. Valbuena.
And France follow that change as Lacazette and Benzema come on for Valbuena and Gignac. They have the final quarter of the match to find a goal.
67'
B. Hrgota enters the game and replaces E. Zengin.
J. Guidetti enters the game and replaces I. Kiese Thelin.
Sweden their fourth change of the night change, as Zengin is replaced by Hrgota.
65'
Griezmann and Pogba combine to devastating effect down the left-hand side, with the latter delivering a low cross that Granqvist and Isaksson somehow turn behind between them.
63'
France remain on the front foot but they are struggling to create chances quite as freely as they did in the first half. Frustration levels are starting to show in their play.
61'
M. Sissoko enters the game and replaces D. Payet.
Over and hour gone and finally Deschamps makes his first change of the night, with Payet replaced by Sissoko for the final half an hour.
60'
GOOD SAVE! Isaksson has to be at his best again to deny the hosts Griezmann sends the ball towards goal from a tight angle, and the goalkeeper is able to push the ball away before Kacaniklic completes the clearance.
59'
Gignac really should have had the ball in the net, but he somehow pokes wide after Griezmann's volley across goal. The flag went up to save the Marseille forward some embarrassment, though replays show he was in fact well onside.
57'
OVER THE BAR! Sweden really should be ahead as Larsson lifts a great ball into the box, but Thelin cannot keep his header down despite being totally unchallenged around 10 yards from goal.
56'
The preciseness has gone out of France's attacking play seems to have gone, and the crowd are doing their best to lift their side. Sweden comfortable at present.
54'
Sweden come forward for the first time in the second period as Zengin cuts inside from the left-hand side before unleashing a shot that Mandanda is able to get behind and hold onto.
53'
Some of France's big guns on the bench have been sent to warm-up, with Benzema the obvious man to come on in pursuit of a goal. With this being a friendly, Deschamps may not wait long to start making a maximum of six changes.
51'
Another opportunity wasted for France as Griezmann hits a free-kick from 25 yards that flies well over the crossbar. He really should have allowed the right-footed Payet to take that given the position of the ball slightly to the left of centre.
49'
GREAT SAVE! It just will not go in for France, as this time Payet delivers from the left for Gignac in the middle. The striker brings the ball down on his chest before turning and volleying in the same movement, but Isaksson is able to save with his legs.
48'
Ekdal already looks like he will make an impact as he robs Griezmann before carrying the ball 30 yards forward. After seeing out the first 45 minutes, Sweden will fancy their chances here.
46'
A. Ekdal enters the game and replaces K. Källström.
O. Wendt enters the game and replaces P. Bengtsson.
J. Durmaz enters the game and replaces N. Bahoui.
Sweden make three changes at the break, with Bengtsson, Bahoui and Kallstrom are replaced by Wendt, Durmaz and Ekdal. France eventually kick-off and we are back underway.
45'
France's width has been a feature of this first half, and they almost create from the flanks again as Kurzawa flashes a cross along the six-yard line from the left, but there is no one there to convert the chance.
43'
Yet again Sweden threaten as Thelin turns Varane on the edge of the box, but the France captain manages to get his foot in and block the ball out for a corner.
41'
GREAT SAVE! Sweden almost take a shock lead as Thelin controls the ball with his back to goal before hooking a volley towards the bottom corner, and Mandanda gets down smartly to his left to push it away. Decent chance for the visitors.
40'
Granqvist has been Sweden's best player by some margin, and he again does well to come across and win the ball off Gignac on the right-hand touchline. France eager for a goal before half-time.
38'
SO CLOSE! Yet again Sweden almost but the ball through their own net as Payet's right-wing cross is missed by Isaksson, and Krafth sends the ball back towards the empty net. Fortunately for the full back it went out for a corner rather than the other side of the post.
36'
BIG CHANCE! France create their best chance so far Gignac plays the ball into Griezmann in the box, but the Atletico Madrid man fluffs his finish an Isaksson is able to block with his body before falling on the ball. Let-off for the visitors as they were opened up.
35'
The home fans inside Stade Velodrome look to lift their side as the volume is raised in the stands. The hosts have done everything but score in this first half.
33'
Yet again it's neat build-up play from the hosts as Griezmann volleys the ball into the box. Jansson is in the way, but his interception carries the ball narrowly wide of the post. After defending bravely, an own goal would have been harsh on Sweden.
31'
JUST OVER! France up the tempo and Payet manages to swing the ball to Valbuena on the left-hand side of the area. The former Marseille man takes the ball down on his chest before executing an overhead kick that goes narrowly over the bar. That would have been a superb strike had it gone in.
29'
Sweden just cannot deal with the forward runs of France's full-backs, and it needs a Granqvist header to clear Sagna's latest cross into the box. Surely Deschamps' team will find a way through sooner rather than later.
27'
Kurzawa again finds room to cross from the left-hand side, and Varane is still forward from an earlier corner, but he can only send his header wide of the post. Yet another shot off target from the hosts, with Isaksson yet to be tested despite their dominance.
26'
The game has entered a bit of a lull period, but that is only because Sweden have finally managed to find a foothold. Larsson is seeing more of the ball in midfield, though France remain in control.
24'
Sagna is having plenty of joy on the right-hand side, and he is allowed again to drive forward. Eventually he opts to shoot from 25 yards, but his effort fades wide of the post.
22'
Thelin does well to win a free-kick around 25 yards from the France goal, but Larsson's effort is not his best and hits the wall before going out for a throw-in. A wasted opportunity for the visitors.
20'
Valbuena whips the dead ball in towards the back post, but Varane cannot control his header and it flies well wide of the post. France will be slightly frustrated they have not broken the deadlock as yet.
19'
Chance here for France as Granqvist is penalised for a foul on Griezmann to the left of the area. He seemed to get the ball but the referee felt the challenge warranted a ticking off.
17'
Yet another shot is aimed towards Isaksson's goal as Pogba lines up an effort from 30 yards, but the Juventus midfielder's effort is always too high and is never troubling the goalkeeper.
15'
Varane is called into action for the first time as Larsson plays a ball forward for Bahoui, but the Real Madrid defender uses all his pace to play the ball back to Mandanda before getting it back from his goalkeeper to complete the clearance.
13'
France again attack down the left as Valbuena crosses into the area, and Gignac is only denied by Granqvist as the defender blocked his header. France are all over their visitors so far.
11'
SO CLOSE! Almost a brilliant opening goal from the hosts as Pogba plays a delightful chip over the top and Kurzawa's volley is not far away from finding the top corner.
10'
GOOD TACKLE! France break through as Griezmann drives forward before feeding Guilavogui in the box. The midfielder looks set to pull the trigger, but Granqvist gets across to make a fine challenge and clear the ball for a throw-in.
8'
Despite being forced back, Sweden are holding their own so far. The hosts are looking to use the flanks as much as possible, but the visitors 4-3-3 formation is just about coping.
6'
Les Bleus continue to dominate, and Sagna this time sends in a fine cross from the right that Krafth does well to head away under pressure from Griezmann.
4'
Sweden cannot get out of their own half, and again the hosts threaten as the ball falls for Guilavogui, but his curling effort is off-target and Isaksson can watch it go wide of his left-hand post.
3'
It's all France in the opening stages, and a move involving Payet and Kurzawa on the left-hand side only comes to an end when Gignac is penalised for a foul on Jansson inside the box.
1'
The handshakes are over, and Sweden kick-off to get us underway...
France are already on the front foot, and Payet shows good feet to skip past a challenge before cutting inside and pulling the trigger from 20 yards. His effort is powerful enough, but flies a couple of yards wide.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the international friendly between France and Sweden. Didier Deschamps' side have enjoyed an encouraging start to their Euro 2016 preparations, but face a tough test tonight against their Scandanavian visitors. I'm Tom Maston and I'll be guiding you through all the action.
Les Bleus have enjoyed victories over Spain and Portugal since their run to the quarter-finals of the World Cup, though they were held to a 1-1 draw with Albania on Friday. The former midfielder has looked to experiment in his five fixtures this season, with hopes high that the hosts can win their first major tournament since 2004 on home soil in 18 months' time.
Sweden, meanwhile, have made an underwhelming start to their qualification campaign, having won just one of their four fixtures thus far. They are unbeaten, however, and lie second in Group G, four points behind runaway leaders Austria with six matches still to play.
Before we go any further, the two team line-ups for tonight's encounter have been announced ahead of kick-off in around 15 minutes...
Deschamps hands a full international debut to Monaco full-back Layvin Kurzawa after he came off the bench against Albania. Sweden, meanwhile, are without Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the striker returned to Paris Saint-Germain to continue his recovery from injury.
The players are making their way into the tunnel ahead of kick-off, and the stadium in Marseille is slowly filling up. With no competitive fixtures until Euro 2016, fans will be hoping to see a performance full of freedom as players look to impress ahead of the tournament.
Captains Varane and Isaksson lead their respective sides out onto the field, with flags flying in the stands. We will have the national anthems and usual pre-match niceties, and we will be ready to get underway...
Both national anthems are sung with plenty of gusto, and we are moments from kick-off. Can France maintain their fine form, or will Sweden cause a shock? We're about to find out...
And with that the half-team whistle blows, and how France do not lead is difficult to explain. They have enjoyed almost 70 per cent of the possession, and have found themselves almost exclusively in the Sweden half. They have not tested Isaksson nearly enough, though, and need more cutting edge in front of goal in the second period.
For their part, Sweden have threatened sparingly, with Thelin's late effort almost catching Mandanda by surprise. But on the whole they need to show a bit more adventure to claim a win tonight. I'll be back in ten minutes to see if either side can break the deadlock.
The teams are making their way back out onto the pitch, and France will be looking to find a way through the Sweden defence and make their dominance count. The visitors will just be looking to hold on and possibly steal a winner late on.
The full-time whistle blows, and France eventually did enough to see off Sweden. They were dominant from the off, but they had to wait for Varane's late header to break the visitors down. They end 2014 with just one defeat in the calendar year, and already look a good bet to go far in Euro 2016.
Sweden defended bravely, and Thelin should really have scored himself midway through the second half. But the night belongs to Varane and France as they make it six games without defeat. For now, I've been Tom Maston and thanks for joining me.
