GOAL! Burnley have equalised! City fail to deal with the resulting set-piece and Barnes is allowed the time and space to fire a wonderful half-volley from just inside the penalty area that beats Hart before flying into the top left hand corner of the net. What a comeback by the visitors!
And now Zabaleta has entered the referee's book after recklessly charging into Shackell near the halfway line.

Ings seems to be struggling with cramp and limps off the field to receive further treatment. With litle over 15 minutes left to play and just one goal separating themselves and City, Burnley desperately need to keep him on the pitch, if at all possible.

21'
Ings is left in acres of space in the middle of the pitch, allowing him to sprint through the centre of the City midfield before unleashing a rocket of a shot from long range that ends up clearing the top of the crossbar by quite some distance.
19'
And now Marney goes close! Burnley push forward yet again and poor defensive play by City gifts the midfielder with a chance to shoot from 20 yards out, but his first-time strike is sent straight into the hands of Hart.

1'
And we're off! City get us underway, attacking from right to left.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today's Premier League game between Manchester City and Burnley. My name is Ben Cullimore and I will be keeping you up to date with all of the action from the the Etihad Stadium.
After a few questionable results earlier in the season, today's hosts head into this afternoon's clash on the back of seven fantastic consecutive Premier League victories. During that time, Manuel Pellegrini's men have looked as impressive at the back as they have up front, despite their injury concerns at both ends of the pitch, letting in just three goals and scoring 17 in the process. As a result, they remain just three points behind league leaders Chelsea, keeping the pressure firmly on Jose Mourinho's side with little over a month to go until the two teams meet at Stamford Bridge.
As for Burnley, a difficult week has left them second from bottom in the table, equal on points with 18th-place Crystal Palace after back-to-back defeats against Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool. Their impressive 1-0 victory against Southampton two weeks ago is their only win in their last six league games, and today's clash against an incredibly strong City side is guaranteed to be another tough encounter in what has been a difficult month for Sean Dyche's side.
There's just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let's have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon...
Manchester City XI (4-2-3-1): Hart; Zabaleta, Demichelis, Mangala, Kolarov; Fernando, Fernandinho; Navas, Silva, Nasri; Milner.
Manchester City substitutes: Caballero, Sagna, Clichy, Boyata, Sinclair, Lampard, Jovetic.
Manuel Pellegrini has made three changes to the City side that started the 3-1 victory against West Bromwich Albion, with Pablo Zabaleta, Aleksandar Kolarov and Fernandinho all coming back into the starting line-up to replace Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna and Yaya Toure, respectively.
Meanwhile, Burnley boss Sean Dyche has named an unchanged side to the one that lost 1-0 against Liverpool on Boxing Day.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 2-0 BURNLEY
Despite not playing as well as they have done at times this season, City head into the half-time break with a well-deserved 2-0 lead, one that is going to be incredibly difficult for Burnley to overturn. The visitors spent the vast majority of the opening 45 minutes on the back foot as they tried to deal with a strong Sky Blues side, who are on course for their eighth consecutive Premier League victory after two brilliant goals from Silva and Fernandinho.
The two teams are making their way back out onto the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
FULL-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 2-2 BURNLEY
The draw means that City remain in second place in the table, four points behind Chelsea, heading into their game against Sunderland on New Year's Day, whilst Burnley, who go on to face Newcastle United, remain in 19th place but are now equal on points with 17th place Hull City.
My name is Ben Cullimore and it's been an absolute pleasure describing all of the action to you this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye!
There it is: Burnley hold on to record an absolutely brilliant 2-2 draw away to a City side that look visibly distraught with what has just happened. Sean Dyche's men become the first Premier League team to come from two goals down to earn a point at the Etihad Stadium since Fulham in October 2009 and, boy, do they deserve it. After a difficult first half, they were brilliant in the second, with the strike partnership of Ings and Barnes causing the hosts' back four plenty of problems, whilst their defence held firm under a constant onslaught from City's forwards.
