There are three minutes of added time for Trabzonspor to endure. Their European adventure is almost over.
88'
Z. Yavru enters the game and replaces S. Dursun.
I spoke too soon. Dursun has now been withdrawn. There is no point in Trabzonspor taking any risks at this stage.
86'
Salih Dursun limps off to receive treatment for Trabzonspor but he looks to be OK. They too will not want any injuries ahead of next Monday's game with Karabukspor.
84'
S. Yılmaz enters the game and replaces E. Zengin.
Trabzonspor are showing some spirit in the closing stages. A free-kick is only half-cleared by Napoli and the ball falls to substitute Sefa Yilmaz, who can only shoot straight at Rafael.
82'
Ö. Hurmacı gets yellow.
81'
Not a bad effort from Ekici, whose curling attempt drifts narrowly wide of the right-hand post.
80'
Free-kick in a decent position for Trabzonspor. Can they get on the scoresheet?
78'
Trabzonspor have been poor but Arikan is having a stormer. Mertens is played through on goal, yet he is thwarted by a fine save down low to the shot-stopper's left.
77'
S. Aydoğdu enters the game and replaces F. Atik.
M. Hamšík enters the game and replaces José Callejón.
76'
Callejon's night will not end with a goal. The Spaniard's number is up and club captain Marek Hamsik comes on to receive a brief run out.
Minute
Description
73'
Guess who? Yes it's that man Callejon who goes close again, drilling the ball towards the goal at the far post. Arikan has been in top form tonight, though, and stymies Callejon once more.
71'
It just isn't Callejon's night. The wideman finds himself in space of the edge of the area and lets fly with a swerving effort, only to see his short deflect wide off the right-hand post.
69'
M. Gabbiadini enters the game and replaces J. de Guzmán.
Another substitution for the hosts as goalscorer De Guzman is withdrawn, receiving a well deserved ovation for a good overall performance.
68'
Callejon! Arikan has been a thorn in the Spaniard's side all night and he again makes a strong save to prevent him from netting Napoli's second, this time keeping out a powerful half-volley from close range.
65'
It's all got a little bit scrappy in the last few minutes, the two teams have committed 19 fouls between them but the referee, to his credit, has been surprisingly lenient.
63'
D. Zapata enters the game and replaces G. Higuaín.
Finally a first change for Napoli as Duvan Zapata comes on for Higuain.
62'
More wonderful approach play from Napoli goes unrewarded as Jorginho's deflected drive is comfortably saved by Arikan.
59'
Napoli denied a second by the offside flag! Dries Mertens lofts a beautiful ball to the right flank to find Callejon, whose first-time pass is tapped home by Higuain. However, the linesman raises his flag to deny them a second. That was a tight call.
58'
H. Arıkan gets yellow.
57'
Gonzalo Higuain displays great effort to surge onto a loose ball and force a corner as his pull back for Callejon is diverted behind. Napoli fail to take advantage, though, as the set-piece falls to nothing.
55'
Ghoulam displays his attacking prowess by jinking his way into the area but his shot is a tame one and Arikan saves relatively comfortably. Trabzonspor survive further humiliation.
53'
Defences very much on top so far in the second period. The atmosphere has died down somewhat and neither team appears prepared to exert that much energy.
50'
It is still Napoli doing most of the pressing. Sterner tests await in the later rounds but Benitez must be happy with how his side have dictated this tie.
48'
No substitutions and very little to report in the opening exchanges of the second 45. The main question will be how long Benitez waits before shuffling his pack with the Torino game in mind?
46'
Napoli start the second half. Can Trabzonspor salvage some pride?
45' +1
Just one minute added on at the end of a superb first half for Napoli.
43'
Atik has the ball in the net! But it's offside! Rafael produces a fine save to keep out Zengin's bending strike but is beaten on the rebound. However, Trabzonspor are denied a crumb of comfort by the assistant's flag.
41'
M. Ekici gets yellow.
40'
Ekici fouls Faouzi Ghoulam, who rolls around in apparent agony before getting to his feet. The last thing Napoli need at this point is any needless injuries.
38'
Almost the curse of the commentator as Rafael is forced to tip a high, curling Ekici free-kick over the bar.
36'
Just 10 minutes to go until the half-time interval and Trabzonspor certainly look like they need it. It has been largely one-way traffic in the first half and the Napoli dominance shows no sign of abating.
34'
Oh that's wasteful from Giandomenico Mesto! Erkan Zengin carelessly gives the ball away to the Napoli defender but, with players to his right and left on the edge of the box, he opts to shoot high, wide and not very handsome.
32'
Again Napoli go close! De Guzman continues to cause Trabzonspor problems and breaks free down the left. The Dutchman attempts to square the ball for Callejon but the ball narrowly evades the winger's outstretched boot.
30'
Napoli have backed off a little but their control of the game is very impressive. Trabzonspor appear visibly tired and have to chase and harry like they are won't help.
27'
Napoli now look like a team brimming with confidence. The passing is sharper and they are buzzing about with plenty of energy. The hosts don't seem like a side ready to settle for a 5-0 aggregate win.
25'
Good chance for Trabzonspor! Fatih Atik drills the ball narrowly wide following neat hold-up play from Oscar Cardozo. That was better from the visitors.
24'
Trabzonspor are enjoying a spell of possession but you wonder whether they have any ambition to press forward and risk being caught napping again. Perhaps damage limitation is the best policy.
22'
It looks like being a long evening for Trabzonspor. Extra time is now an impossibility and they need five goals to progress.
21'
Callejon! It's almost 2-0 as the same players combine again. This time De Guzman lays the ball off for the Spaniard, whose low effort is kept out by Arikan.
19'
J. de Guzmán has scored a goal for Napoli!
DE GUZMAN!!! 1-0 NAPOLI!!! Superb counter-attack!
Trabzonspor make the Napoli defence work thanks to a good delivery from the free-kick but the danger is eventually cleared and a long ball sets Jose Callejon on his way. The ex-Real Madrid man sees his shot was well saved by Hakan Arikan but Jonathan de Guzman is there to cleverly convert the follow up.
18'
Ekici wins a free-kick on the left-hand side, an opportunity for Trabzonspor?
16'
Trabzonspor are struggling to get hold of the ball or get out of their own half at the moment. There is a gulf in a class that could soon become evident.
14'
Mehmet Ekici has a go from range but it is nowhere near the target. Ozer Hurmaci does the same moments later. Shots from distance are not going to trouble Rafael.
12'
Trabzonspor have been competitive in the first 12 minutes of this contest but they will need to offer more if they are to pull off a remarkable comeback. There has been nothing going forward from the visitors.
10'
Mertens with the first real chance of the match! The Belgium winger darts his way into the box but fires high and wide at the near post, the angle was always against him there.
8'
The final ball is still lacking for Napoli, however, you get the feeling that this could be a very embarrassing aggregate score for the visitors should Benitez's men start to click.
6'
Napoli are probing trying to find a way through but Trabzonspor look organised and firm. Perhaps the Turks have learned their lesson from the first leg.
4'
Not much to report on the pitch at the moment, though, Napoli are enjoying more of the possession but their passing in the early stages has been wasteful so far.
2'
There is quite the atmosphere in the San Paolo despite the high number of empty seats. The away fans have travelled in impressive numbers and are making their voices heard early.
1'
Trabzonspor get us underway!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the second leg of the Europa League last 32 clash between Napoli and Trabzonspor.
Barring some sort of near miracle, this tie is all but settled. Napoli have a 4-0 lead from the first leg in Turkey and will be hoping for a straightforward second leg to allow them to keep players fresh for Sunday's league fixture at Torino.
Rafael Benitez clearly respects Trabzonspor, however, something which has been reflected by his strong team selection.
Napoli: Rafael; Mesto, Henrique, Britos, Ghoulam; Jorginho, Inler; Jose Callejon, De Guzman, Mertens; Higuain.
Subs: Hamsik, David Lopez, Gabbiadini, Koulibaly, Andujar, Gargano, Zapata.
We're just moments away from kick-off. Can Trabzonspor somehow salvage this tie?
The players are out and the Europa League anthem is blaring arond the Stadio San Paolo, which is understandably a long, long way from full.
The referee blows his whistle to signal the end of a straightforward first half for Napoli. Jonathan de Guzman's strike has all but ensured there will be no fightback by Trabzonspor. It would be no surprise to see Benitez make changes at the break with his team's progress effectively sealed.
The referee mercifully blows his whistle to confirm that Trabzonspor are out and Napoli are through to the last 16 of the Europa League!
The damage was done in the first leg but this was a professional job from Napoli, who can continue to dream of lifting the trophy at the final in Warsaw. For Trabzonspor their sole focus will be domestic competition after a disappointing display over two legs. That's it from me. This is Nicholas McGee, signing off!
