Amauri enters the game and replaces F. Quagliarella.
90' +4
M. Basha enters the game and replaces O. El Kaddouri.
Ventura decides to wind down the clock by making two substitutions. Migjen Basha and Amauri come on in place of El Kaddouri and Quagliarella.
90' +3
SO CLOSE! Gabbiadini almost nets a late equaliser, but his bobbling shot from 25 yards skids narrowly wide of the post and the diving Padelli!
90' +1
We are into the first of four added minutes.
90'
Strinic comes inside from the left before offloading to Higuain. The Argentine spins and rolls a diagonal pass into the box for the run of Gabbiadini, but Padelli races off his line to get to it first!
89'
Torino are camped back on the edge of their own box now. They're desperate not to surrender the three points!
87'
Napoli throw a couple of crosses into the box in quick succession but each one is repelled by the resilient Torino defence. They don't concede many at home, and they'll be doing their utmost to keep the Partenopei from netting an equaliser.
85'
Benitez does not look happy on the touchline. He knows this is a great chance for his team to close the gap on Roma, but they look set to throw it away. Torino are full of confidence once more.
83'
D. Zapata enters the game and replaces C. Maggio.
Before the free kick is taken Benitez opts to make a substitution, replacing Maggio with Duvan Zapata. He's got nothing to lose.
GOOD SAVE! Bovo finally gets to take the free kick, and he too sends it down the keeper's side. Andujar manages to parry it as far as Glik, who hammers his follow-up effort far beyond the goal.
Minute
Description
81'
C. Maggio gets yellow.
Now it is Torino who are awarded a free kick on the edge of the opposition's box! El Kaddouri was brought down by the trailing leg of Maggio, and David Lopez goes into the book for protesting the referee's decision to award the set-piece.
79'
OFF THE POST! Once the referee gets the wall back far enough Gabbiadini bends a low shot over to the keeper's side of the goal, which goes behind off the base of the upright!
77'
Napoli are awarded a free kick in an exceptionally dangerous position after Callejon goes to ground under a challenge from the recovering Quagliarella. He felled the Spaniard in the act of shooting just outside the box. Can the visitors draw level from this?
75'
HIGUAIN! HE HAS TO SCORE! De Guzman gets the better of Bruno Peres out on the left, and he squares a great low pass into the centre of the box for the Argentine. The former Real Madrid man hits it first time but doesn't get his technique quite right and skies the shot.
74'
Albiol strides forward from the back, driving through the heart of Toro's midfield with a wall pass off Higuain. He only manages to become the latest Napoli player to screw their effort wide of the target, though.
73'
G. İnler enters the game and replaces W. Gargano.
Benitez introduces Inler in the place of Gargano, and the Swiss is quickly involved, receiving a short free kick from Higuain. He takes a touch before releasing a shot from 25 yards that bobbles harmlessly wide.
72'
F. Quagliarella gets yellow.
It was Koulibaly who gave away that corner, and now he has gone into the book for a rash challenge! Torino win another set-piece down on the right, but Glik is unable to connect with it this time. The ball bounces through to Quagliarella, who is penalised for controlling with his arm.
71'
K. Koulibaly gets yellow.
70'
Well, the Partenopei have failed to make the most of their best spell of the game since the interval, and it looks like it could cost them dearly. Are they about to throw away the chance to go level with Roma in second place?
68'
K. Glik has scored a goal for Torino! Assist by A. Farnerud.
GOOOOOAAAAL!! TORINO LEAD! Farnerud clips the corner in from the left, aiming it to the near post where Glik attacks it and steers the ball inside the far upright!
67'
Napoli are certainly looking the more likely of the two sides to break the deadlock. Torino have barely offered a threat since the interval, largely due to Darmian and Bruno Peres operating more defensively, but they've been gifted a corner now.
65'
There are appeals for a handball from the Napoli players after Moretti slides in to intercept Callejon's pass to Higuain inside the box, but nothing is given. The centre-back instantly hands possession back to the visitors, though, but Strinic doesn't capitalise as he rifles a shot over the top from 30 yards.
63'
Gabbiadini is instantly involved in the action, taking a short corner with Callejon. He smashes a shot from the corner of the box but it is deflected behind. The Napoli pair work the same routine but the result remains the same.
62'
M. Gabbiadini enters the game and replaces M. Hamšík.
Benitez responds by also making his first substition, bringing Manolo Gabbiadini on for the disappointing Hamsik.
60'
M. López enters the game and replaces Josef Martínez.
Ventura makes his first change of the night, replacing Martinez with Maxi Lopez.
59'
When the free kick finally comes into the box it is headed away by Glik, but only as far as Callejon. Once more the Spaniard snatches at his effort, completely miscuing and failing to hit the target.
58'
Space is beginning to open up for Napoli now, with Bruno Peres and Darmian both dropping deeper to form a back five. A foul from El Kaddouri on Maggio results in a free kick to the visitors, but there is not second yellow card for the Moroccan.
56'
Bruno Peres goes on his first marauding run down the right of the second half, but Koulibaly comes across and puts in a good challenge on the Brazilian. Not only does he dispossess him, he does it in a manner that sees the last touch go off the Toro wing-back and out for goal kick.
54'
Wide from Callejon! The ball bounces kindly for the Spaniard 20 yards from goal and he pulls the trigger before he can be closed down. He doesn't strike it cleanly, though, and shanks his effort far wide of the upright.
52'
Gazzi looks to clip a pass over the top of the defence for Martinez to chase, but they're sitting so deep that he ends up knocking it behind for a goal kick. Martinez was never getting on the end of that.
50'
El Kaddouri picks up the ball inside the Napoli half and is allowed time to turn and face the goal. He rolls a pass to the feet of Quagliarella, who gets it out of his feet with his first touch and then spins and fires from 25 yards. He wanted that to bend inside the far post, but it flies straight into Andujar's arms.
48'
HIGUAIN! The Argentine releases a stinging drive from 25 yards that flies towards the target. Padelli doesn't have to move to keep it out, but it's got so much power behind it that he cannot hold it and instead opts to punch it away. That was his first effort on goal this evening.
46'
The second half has begun!
45' +1
There is the half-time whistle!
45'
Bruno Peres puts in another cross from deep on the right, but it runs all the way through to the far side. Quagliarella keeps it alive and angles a delivery in towards the near post, where Martinez flicks it over the top with a header. Just one minute of added time will be played.
43'
We are just two minutes, plus any stoppage time, away from the interval, and neither goalkeeper has been properly tested yet. Much of the game has been played out in a congested midfield.
41'
Quagliarella picks up the ball in midfield and attempts to drive through the centre of the Napoli defence. He is quickly crowded out by Partenopei shirts before dropping to ground and claiming for a free kick. Yet again, nothing is given.
40'
Napoli are finishing the first half strongly, putting pressure on Torino high up the pitch and gaining possession in advanced areas. They've been unable to feed Higuain as of yet, though.
38'
HAMSIK! ALMOST A STUNNER! The Slovakian goes into a 50-50 challenge with El Kaddouri and the ball loops up off the Moroccan, who drops to ground. The whistle isn't blown so the Napoli man fires a searing volley towards the target from 35 yards that arrows narrowly beyond the upright!
37'
DE GUZMAN! Finally the Partenopei call Padelli into action again, and it comes as the Dutchman drifts inside after receiving the ball from David Lopez. He only has Higuain to aim at in the box so instead opts to pull the trigger, sending a missile close enough to the keeper that he can claim it at the first time of asking.
35'
Martinez and Quaglieralla's link-up is far better here, with the Venezuelan initiating a one-two before darting towards the box for the return pass. The former Napoli man lifts the ball into his team-mate's path, but Koulibaly manages to beat him to it and clears to safety.
34'
W. Gargano gets yellow.
The second yellow card of the match has been brandished, and it has gone in the direction of Gargano. The Uruguayan caught Quagliarella late, though the striker did perhaps go to ground a bit too easily.
33'
Napoli have begun a higher press in the last few minutes and it is leading to a rather congested centre of the pitch. The hosts finally create some space when play is switched to Bruno Peres and he then comes inside. He angles a pass towards Martinez, which the striker dummies. However, Quagliarella had pulled away into a different position and was nowhere near the path of the ball.
31'
STAT: Napoli have scored 28 goals in their 12 Serie A games away from home so far this season. Only Juventus (32) have netted more.
29'
O. El Kaddouri gets yellow.
El Kaddouri is the first man to be shown a yellow card, and it comes for diving when under pressure from Strinic. It's a strange decision, as after being confronted by David Lopez he shoved the Spaniard to ground, and that was before the referee had even got his cards out! He might consider himself lucky to still be on the pitch.
27'
After a briefly bright spell, Napoli have settled back into a secondary role in this encounter. Toro are moving the ball about at will, with the visitors getting every man back inside their own half.
25'
In another similar move, Darmian sends a pass up top from the left, though this time he attempts to roll it in behind. Andujar races off his line and clears the danger before Quagliarella can connect.
23'
Bovo switches the play out to the left and, upon receiving the ball, Darmian drives diagonally inside. He picks out Quagliarella at the top of the box and the Italian takes a touch before spinning to shoot. His effort is blocked by Koulibaly, who was determined not to afford him too much space.
21'
STAT: Torino have conceded just nine goals at home so far this season. Only Juventus and Roma have shipped fewer.
19'
Napoli are beginning to have more of an attacking influence on the game now, but Gargano brings their latest attempt to carve out an opening to a premature end. The Uruguayan's through-ball for Higuain is all wrong and rolls behind for a goal kick.
17'
Farnerud picks up the ball in midfield and carries it towards the Napoli box. He initiates a give-and-go with El Kaddouri, who continues his run into the box, before lofting a pass to Martinez. The striker attempts to cushion the ball for the Moroccan's run behind him, but it is intercepted.
15'
There is a break in play as Martinez and Raul Albiol both receive treatment following their collision. They both manage to walk off the pitch, though, and return soon after play is restarted.
13'
EL KADDOURI! He should do better! Bruno Peres whips another cross in from the right and the diminutive challenges Raul Albiol to a header. He puts enough pressure on the Spaniard so that he fails to connect with the ball, which rebounds to Torino's Moroccan midfielder 20 yards out. He strikes it first time but bounces his shot off the deck and wide of the post!
12'
The home fans let up a roar as Strinic sends Bruno Peres tumbling to ground with a bodycheck, but the referee still isn't interested. The Brazilian's touch had already rolled out of play, so he may have taken that into consideration.
10'
Quagliarella produces a superb acrobatic effort from Bruno Peres' cross, but he is adjudged to have fouled Maggio in order to make room for himself in the box. Andujar managed to keep the shot out of the bottom corner, but Toro are just oozing confidence at the moment.
9'
Torino have settled into this game very quickly and are dominating possession in the early stages. Darmian attempts to get the better of Maggio on the far side but a heavy touch sees him inadvertently send the ball out of play for a throw in.
7'
Bruno Peres up against Strinic already has the making of a great battle. The Croatian may need De Guzman to get back and help protect against the rampant Brazilian.
5'
Maggio tries to emulate Bruno Peres for the visitors, racing forwards on the right before going down under a challenge near the byline. He claims for a free kick but again the referee is unmoved. He clearly wants to allow the game to flow tonight.
3'
Bruno Peres certainly looks up for this game! Once more he looks to charge forward down the right, forcing Strinic to get overly physical with him in an attempt to keep him at bay. He goes to ground under a strong arm from the Croatian, but the referee sees no foul in it.
2'
OVER THE TOP! A great opening, but Martinez fails to make the most of it. Bruno Peres did superbly to beat both Hamsik and Strinic on his way to the byline, where he cuts a cross back into the box. Koulibaly gets a toe to it but the ball falls straight to Torino's Venezuelan striker no more than 10 yards out. However, he somehow fires high over the top!
1'
We are underway!
Napoli get away the first shot of the game, with De Guzman breaking from the centre of the pitch before pulling the trigger from 25 yards. It looks to be heading wide, but Padelli dives to his right and claims it anyway.
Hello and welcome to tonight's LIVE coverage of the Serie A meeting between Torino and Napoli. With Roma not facing Juventus until Monday evening, the Partenopei could join the Giallorossi in second position with 48 points. However, they come up against a Toro currently on a run of 11 league outings without defeat. It is sure to be an intriguing game, and I, Tom Webber, will be guiding you through it every step of the way.
Napoli and Torino are two of the five Italian sides that advanced to the Europa League last 16 on Thursday. The Partenopei were able to rest players for their second leg with Trabzonspor, whom they beat at San Paolo by a single goal to round off a 5-0 aggregate victory. Toro, meanwhile, ensured their progression with an impressive 3-2 victory over Athletic Bilbao at the intimidating San Mames. They have been handed another tricky tie in the next round as they will face Zenit St Petersburg, while Rafa Benitez’s men will take on Dynamo Moscow.
TORINO TEAM NEWS: There are four changes from Giampiero Ventura's side that defeated Athletic on Thursday, one of which is enforced due to Giuseppe Vives’ suspension. Maxi Lopez is replaced by Josef Martinez as partner to Fabio Quagliarella, while Nikola Maksimovic and Christian Molinaro also make way.
NAPOLI TEAM NEWS: Rafa Benitez rotated his team for the midweek clash with Trabzonspor, so has the luxury of making eight changes tonight. Gonzalo Higuain keeps his place in attack having returned from suspension, but Dries Mertens is out as he serves a ban. Marek Hamsik is also drafted back into the starting line-up which sees a completely different back four and goalkeeper.
Torino (3-5-2): Padelli; Bovo, Glik, Moretti; Bruno Peres, Farnerud, Gazzi, El Kaddouri, Darmian; Martinez, Quagliarella.
Napoli (4-2-3-1): Andujar; Maggio, Albiol, Koulibaly, Strinic; Gargano, David Lopez; Callejon, Hamsik, De Guzman; Higuain.
Napoli bench: Rafael, Colombo, Henrique, Britos, Ghoulam, Jorginho, Mesto, Inler, Gabbiadini, Zapata.
Torino have not defeated Napoli since May 2009, when Rolando Bianchi and Alessandro Rosina brought the Granata from behind to win 2-1 at San Paolo. They actually did the double over the Partenopei in that season, with Bianchi again on the scoresheet in 1-0 home victory for the Turin side. However, the team from Campania have won their last four matches against Toro in all competitions.
The teams are out on the pitch at the Olimpico, so kick off will be upon us in just a few moments.
HALF TIME - Torino 0-0 Napoli: it remains all square at the Olimpico in Turin, with the hosts having the better of possession for much of the first period. El Kaddouri wasted Toro's best opportunity, while Hamsik fired a long-range volley just wide shortly before the interval. It's all still to play for here, so be sure to stick around for the second half.
The teams are heading back out onto the pitch, so we should be back underway shortly.
FULL TIME - Torino 1-0 Napoli: The hosts stretch their unbeaten run in Serie A to 12 games as a second-half header from Glik is enough to defeat Rafa Benitez's men. The Partenopei could have gone level on points with Roma in second place had they won tonight, but their inability to convert the chances they created ended up costing them.
That is all we have time for this evening. Thanks for joining me, Tom Webber, and have a great night.
