Dying embers of the game now. Roma, down a man, try to muster one last shot on goal, which falls to De Rossi about 25 yards out. It's hit with power, but ends up curling well over in the end.
88'
A. Ljajić gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
LJAJIC HAS BEEN SENT OFF! That just about signals the toilet flush on a waste of a performance from Roma. The Serbian slides in late on Aquilani, which earns him his second booking and a slightly early bath.
87'
Joaquin skips pas a couple of challenges on the corner of the box and tries to tee up Aquilani for the smash from the edge of the 18-yard area. However, the former Liverpool man can't get a shot away.
85'
Aquilani nearly slides in a perfect pass for Salah to chase behind the defence, but Manolas comes up with the all-important interception. A rare moment of good defending from Roma.
83'
Seven minutes of torture for the Roma fans to endure. I hope for their sake that the referee ends this match at the first opportunity. I can't remember too many stoppages that would necessitate a large period of injury time.
81'
Ljajic appeared to have snaked his way through a few bodies inside the area, but he shifts it too far out of his control. A slide tackle then comes in and the Serbian falls theatrically, but by that time, he had already lost the chance. No penalty.
79'
A. Aquilani enters the game and replaces Borja Valero.
OFF THE WOODWORK ONCE MORE! And it's Salah again who is left cursing his luck. The Egyptian has a ferocious effort from the top of the D that leaves Skorupski stranded and the post shaking!
78'
A. Ljajić gets yellow.
77'
Florenzi is becoming an important player in this half. He gets a pass from Gervinho, and floats a wonderful first-time cross to the back post for Ljajic, but Rodriguez meets it first with an authoritative defensive header.
75'
Frustration starting to build in the Roma players. Florenzi heavily protested that last attack, wanting a corner which he eventually got. Roma haven't been terrible in this half, but it's been nowhere near the type of performance that a team needing four goals should be putting in.
Minute
Description
73'
Florenzi has a chance to overlap down the right, just managing to keep the ball in play. However, just before he pulls the trigger on a cross, the excellent Basanta slides in to intercept.
71'
Fiorentina are just passing the ball confidently among their defensive players, sapping the last of the Giallorossi strength by forcing them to chase shadows. Professional close-out to this game by the visitors.
69'
Roma, in their attempts to restore some pride, are leaving their back four completely unprotected. Whenever Fiorentina breaks, there's acres of space for midfield runners to ghost into.
67'
Roma have a chance to case some problems as Ljajic stands over a set piece, but his curling effort is headed away confidently by Vargas. As complete a performance as I've seen in Europe this season by Fiorentina.
65'
Not a whole lot happening out on the pitch, with Roma unable to make anything of their spells in possession. Fiorentina are simply soaking it all up and waiting for their moments to hit on the counter.
63'
J. Vargas enters the game and replaces K. Babacar.
No way through for Ljajic and Gervinho down the left-hand side, as they both take turns squaring up to the defence, failing to beat their man. Great defending by the visiting side.
61'
GERVINHO DENIED SUPERBLY BY BASANTA! The Ivorian was a few feet behind the defence and clean through, but the Fiorentina centre-back caught up admirably and forced the hesitation, which saw the forward eventually tackled!
60'
An hour gone, and Fiorentina continue to pepper away at Skorupski's goal in the second half. Babacar fires a stinger right into his arms. On the next play, the invisible Florenzi hacks a wild effort over the top.
58'
D. Astori enters the game and replaces M. Yanga-Mbiwa.
Some work for Skorupski to do, as a through pass is chased down by Joaquin at frightening speed. The keeper gets to the edge of his box just in time though, and slides it clear.
56'
Surely Fiorentina have to be one of the favourites for the Europa League title now? No one will want to face la Viola in this kind of form. They've simply dismantled Roma, in the Italian capital.
54'
FABULOUS SAVE! Salah slips in Babacar, who has his man beaten for pace. He strikes low and hard for the far corner, but the Roma keeper dives to divert the attempt around the post!
52'
Iturbe starts a move at the top of the box, exchanging passes with De Rossi, but he seems unable to make up his mind as to what he wants to do with the ball. He settles for a speculative shot that is miles over.
50'
Ljajic once again doesn't hesitate to have a crack from range, but it's straight at Neto. The Serbian has passed up some glorious shooting opportunities in this game, and in the first leg as well.
48'
SALAH DENIED A STUNNER! From inside his own half, he races past two players, cutting left and right before shifting the ball onto his left peg for the finish inside the area, with the crossbar denying him! That would have been the perfect jewel in a kingly Fiorentina performance.
46'
The second half is underway.
45' +1
Joaquin runs onto a clever throw-in, and clips in a dangerous ball into the six-yard area, where Babacar nearly makes the vital connection. Had he caught that, it would have surely been 4-0 to the visitors.
44'
D. Verde enters the game and replaces S. Kéita.
Half time is fast approaching, but Garcia can't afford to wait until the break to make his second substitution. Keita landed awkwardly in a challenge for a high ball, and will play no further part after appearing to do some damage to his calf. On comes Verde to replace him.
42'
Savic was in some distress earlier, and Montella will take no further risks with his central defender. Off he goes for Tomovic, who will slot straight into the vacated spot on the right side of the Viola back three.
41'
N. Tomović enters the game and replaces S. Savić.
ANOTHER CHANCE FOR FIORENTINA! Alonso pops up on the overlap down the left, and tries to curl a cross around Yanga-Mbiwa for the onrushing Salah at the back post. However, the defender does excellently to slide and intercept that delivery!
39'
VALERO WITH A CRUCIAL CLEARANCE! Pjanic, for the second time in this game, attacks a lofted delivery with a header, but his attempt is hacked off the line by the Spanish midfielder! Two good chances in this half now for Roma to get off the mark.
37'
Given the dreadful form that Roma are in, surely a top-three finish in Serie A and entry into the Champions League for them is under serious threat? Garcia's team are second with 50 points, only one ahead of Lazio, four ahead of Napoli and five ahead of Fiorentina and Sampdoria. Still 11 games to go in the domestic season.
35'
Pjanic holds onto the ball in hopes of a supporting run from a teammate, but when none arrives, he has a crack from 25 yards. It's right down the throat of Neto. That's been the story of the first half for Roma in attack - a handful of half-chances but very little genuine threat.
33'
Roma are starting to hold possession in the Fiorentina defensive third, but la Viola aren't giving anything away. It's difficult for the home side to fashion any shooting opportunities at the moment.
31'
Ljajic tries his luck once again, this time from much farther out. It's not a bad effort, but Neto doesn't have to move as it sails over the bar. Roma will at least want to put a goal on the board before the interval. Fiorentina have backed off a little in the past few minutes.
29'
GREAT CHANCE TO PULL A GOAL BACK! Iturbe's first contribution is to find Ljajic in the box with a clever pass, but the Serbian's low effort is thwarted by an excellent save from Neto! He jumps into the air in frustration, as he knows that his team can't pass up openings like that!
27'
J. Iturbe enters the game and replaces V. Torosidis.
Early tactical substitution from Garcia, and it's no surprise. Torosidis, whose fingerprints can be found over the concession of one of these goals, departs for the more attacking option of Iturbe. Roma's defending has been reckless, and now they must take every risk possible to even have a prayer.
25'
I have zero confidence in the Roma back four any time they're on the ball. They look capable of mistakes out of nothing. All Fiorentina really have to do is bide their time and pick them off for further humiliation.
23'
All the credit in the world to la Viola for their absolutely ruthless start to this game that has all but wrapped up this tie a a contest. Roma, though, deserve a shaming. Their fans don't deserve to witness this kind of collapse. The Giallorossi now need four goals - provided that Fiorentina don't score again!
21'
J. Basanta has scored a goal for Fiorentina! Assist by M. Fernández.
FIORENTINA IN DREAMLAND! It's all too simple. From a corner, Fernandez hooks the ball into the centre of the area, where Basanta is criminally unmarked. He rises to plant an unstoppable header into the back of the net! Is that it already?
20'
Well thanks to that last clownish decision by Skorupski, Roma will need to score three times to progress. Rudi Garcia's men are becoming specialists at making things hard for themselves.
18'
Marcos Alonso has scored a goal for Fiorentina!
SKORUPSKI GIFTS FIORENTINA A SECOND! That was a calamity. The keeper tried to prevent the ball from going out for a corner, but only hooked it into the path of Alonso, who won the tussle and had an empty net to stroke home into!
17'
Just over a quarter of an hour gone in the Eternal City. I have to say that I don't see Rodriguez's penalty as the only goal in this game. Roma are finding some inviting space on the flanks, while Fiorentina are driving through the central areas with real purpose.
CRUCIAL INTERCEPTION FROM SAVIC! Holebas is left completely unmarked down the left, and has a ton of freedom to advance to the byline. However, the defender slides in to block the near-post cross! Roma then miss a free header from the resulting corner via Torosidis!
15'
Both teams are eschewing a measured buildup to move the ball swiftly and vertically through midfield. It's making for an incredibly fast tempo, with the defence not having much time to think when faced with runners coming directly at them from varying angles.
13'
NARROWLY OFF TARGET! Roma attempt to hit back almost straight away, and Pjanic races clear down the right side of the box onto a deft through pass. However, his first-time strike moves just wide of the near post, with Neto looking a little relieved!
11'
Advantage to la Viola now. They've neutralized Roma's away goal, meaning that the Giallorossi need to score in order to have a chance at progression. Should make for a very interesting and open game now, especially with the opening minutes already providing entertainment.
9'
Penalty goal scored by G. Rodríguez for Fiorentina!
J. Basanta gets yellow.
ICE COLD FROM RODRIGUEZ! He scores from his first attempt, but the referee tells him to retake it after some illegal movement beforehand from the players surrounding the box. No bother for him, as he sends Skorupski the wrong way with a low effort to the keeper's right!
7'
PENALTY TO FIORENTINA! Oh, what was Holebas doing? Fernandez received a ball to feet in the box with his back to goal and in a position on the byline where he didn't immediately threaten the goal. However, the Roma full-back only saw blood, and slid into the ankles of the Chilean from behind. Stonewaller.
5'
STINGER! Salah leads Fiorentina on the counter attack, and advancing down the right, he drives to the top of the box to release the ball. It's eventually worked back towards him, and he has a crack from that same position that ends up whistling a foot over the crossbar.
3'
Early tester for Neto to deal with after Pjanic attacks a cross from the right, but he's unable to generate enough direction or speed on the header to seriously trouble the keeper. Still, good signs for Roma that they're looking to create chances and test the keeper from the off.

We're off!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Europa League clash between Roma and Fiorentina. This all-Serie A tie has both teams locked on a goal apiece from the first leg in Florence. Everything is still to play for as we set up in the Italian capital. I'm Keeghann Sinanan, your guide for all the action.
Roma gave us all hope that someone was finally ready to break the Juve stranglehold on the Scudetto with their early-season form. However, the Giallorossi have been stuttering left and right in recent weeks. They've won just one of their last 10 league games (drawing eight during that span), allowing the Bianconeri to open up a 14-point lead at the Serie A summit. Rudi Garcia's men haven't won in any fashion since beating Feyenoord in the previous round of this tournament.
Fiorentina, meanwhile, have lost just once in 15 matches - a run which has helped them climb to within five points of tonight's opponents in the league. They've claimed some big domestic scalps such as Juventus and Inter in March, and scored twice in the final minutes to complete a 2-1 comeback victory over AC Milan in their last Serie A outing. Vincenzo Montella's troops are rolling into form at precisely the right moment.
Given Seydou Keita's away goal during the 1-1 draw in the first leg, Roma technically don't have to score here at the Stadio Olimpico to progress to the quarter finals. However, with Fiorentina winning 2-0 at this very stadium in the Coppa Italia in February, there is absolutely no room for complacency. La Viola are on a tear in the Europa League, winning 13 of their last 14 games, while the Giallorossi haven't taken a win at home in Europe in five tries.
Roma (4-3-3): Skorupski; Torosidis, Manolas, Yanga-Mbiwa, Holebas; Pjanic, De Rossi, Keita; Florenzi, Gervinho, Ljajic.
Skipper Francesco Totti will begin on the bench, as Gervinho is chosen to tip the home side's attacking trident. He's flanked by Adem Ljajic and Alessandro Florenzi, while Daniele De Rossi, Kostas Manolas and Lukasz Skorupski all return to the XI after the 2-0 loss to Sampdoria on Monday night.
Montella makes seven changes following the win against Milan. Khouma Babacar and Mohamed Salah both return to the XI in place of Jasmin Kurtic and Alberto Gilardino, forming an entirely new strikeforce. Joaquin (who scored off the bench against the Rossoneri) and Marcos Alonso also get the recall, and they will provide the flank support from the wide positions.
The referee ends the first half to a cascade of boos and jeers from the stands. The natives are furious, and they have every right to be. Roma have fallen apart, with Fiorentina ruthlessly putting them to the sword three times to take a 4-1 aggregate lead. The hosts need to score four times to progress, and that's given the far-from-likely provision that Montella's men don't score again! Stay tuned for the restart in just a bit.
The referee puts Roma out of their misery as a 3-0 defeat at home sends them crashing out of the Europa League amid a hailstorm of discontent from the stands. A magnificent Fiorentina display gives them a 4-1 aggregate victory and a place in the quarter-finals. Quite a treat for the small visiting contingent from Florence.
That's all from me, I've been Keeghann Sinanan and it's been a pleasure.
