That will do it! The final whistle sounds and Real Madrid pick up an important three points, putting the pressure back on Barcelona who play later today.
90' +1
Three minutes of time will be added on to the end of this match and one of them is already behind us. The Eibar fans are showing their support, despite the result, serenading their team with the clock running down. That is truly wonderful to hear.
89'
Into the final minute of regular time here and Real Madrid are passing the remaining seconds off the clock. They continue to take a patient approach in possession, only now the attacking intent is gone.
87'
The three points are theirs now, and Real Madrid can begin looking ahead to Tuesday's cup tie against their inner-city rivals. Carlo Ancelotti will be thrilled with the performance of his side, without many of their first-team regulars, and will now have a well-rested squad to choose from on Tuesday.
85'
STAT ATTACK: Eibar have scored just one goal in their last five league matches away from home (D1, L4), while keeping just one clean sheet themselves over that span.
83'
Jesé has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
JESE MAKES IT THREE WITH A STUNNING INDIVIDUAL EFFORT! He's been quiet throughout, but far from it there! The forward drives into the area courtesy of a brilliant run. He shows great strength to fight through a challenge and sweeps a flawless finish past the keeper and in at the far post.
81'
Nowhere close! The free kick in a very promising area is taken by Ronaldo, but his shot leaves plenty to be desired as he drives it miles over the bar from 20-yards out.
80'
D. Boateng gets yellow.
He's at it again! This time the substitute is on the other end of a foul, sliding hard into the feet of Ronaldo atop the area. He'll pick up a yellow card for the challenge and Real Madrid will have a real chance from this ensuing free kick.
78'
Derek Boateng makes his presence felt in midfield, just seconds after coming on, winning his side a free kick after a foul from Illarramendi. The visitors keep possession following the free kick and Lara drives a ball into the area, but it's not attacked and runs behind for a goal kick.
77'
D. Boateng enters the game and replaces Dani García.

Description
76'
GREAT CHANCE FOR THE BRACE! A lovely ball from Pepe picks out Chicharito in the area, and the striker has a clear look at goal but sends his shot just over the bar! He claims there was a deflection but will not be awarded the corner.
74'
STAT ATTACK: Excluding matches against Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid have not lost at the Santiago Bernabeu in league play since April 2011 – 2-3 against Real Zaragoza – a span of 65 games (W59, D6).
72'
The keeper is finally up and looks alright to continue here. He certainly appears to be a bit shaken up here and Eibar will want to test him in these final 20 minutes.
70'
WHAT A CHANCE! Piovaccari latches onto the end of a through ball and breaks into the area. Pepe does well to close down and the striker slips at the vital moment! The defender collides with Keylor Navas and both players are down injured here. This is a worry for Real Madrid, who are out of substitutions.
68'
Good grab! Eibar continue to enjoy more time in attack than Real Madrid, but they still lack that killer instinct. A cross into the area is brought down well by Raul Navas at the far post. He drives a shot at goal from a tight angle but his namesake, Keylor Navas, gets down well to make the save and hold on.
66'
F. Piovaccari enters the game and replaces Manu del Moral.
Exceptional defending! Manu takes a pass in acres of space in the left channel and charges forward with a clear path to goal. Varane shows incredible pace, however, closing down so quickly to break up the attack and force the striker's shot awfully wide of goal. That will be the last contribution from the Eibar man.
65'
Nacho enters the game and replaces Marcelo.
64'
Pepe enters the game and replaces Sergio Ramos.
A well-deserved round of applause for Sergio Ramos as he gives way for Pepe here. Also on for the hosts in Nacho, with Marcelo's day coming to an end.
63'
Real Madrid ready a few more substitutes and Pepe has his bib off and looks ready to come in. The defender would ideally like to get his legs back under him, only just returning from injury, ahead of Tuesday's clash with Atletico.
61'
Lucas Silva enters the game and replaces L. Modrić.
Carlo Ancelotti makes his first change of the match, with youngster Lucas Silva on to replace Luka Modric in midfield. The Croatian exits without a goal or assist to his name, but he has been very good throughout in possession.
60'
Real Madrid appear to be coasting through to the finish line with 30 minutes left in the match. Their desire and intent to keep pressing has gone, and it's invited Eibar to press for a consolation goal. All the visitors need is a bit of belief and they are getting it here.
58'
Good block from Arbeloa! The visitors continue to see their share of the ball and the substitute Arruabarrena spots the run of Lara, but his attempted through ball is read well by Arbeloa, who steps in to intercept. That could have been the first real chance for Eibar.
56'
Eibar have really grown into the game in the last five minutes or so, enjoying a virtual share of possession. They have shown a greater desire to compete in midfield and push forward, but it's all to straightforward from them in attack. A lack of creativity has made live easy on the Real Madrid defence.
54'
STAT ATTACK: Real Madrid have four players – Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez – who have scored more league goals this season than Eibar’s leading scorer Mikel Arruabarrena.
52'
JUST WIDE! Well wouldn't you know it, Chicharito gets on the end of another Arbeloa cross, this one far easier than the one he scored from, but he bounces his effort wide of the far post. Arbeloa has looked real strong in attack, providing an endless service of crosses into the area.
50'
RIGHT AT THE KEEPER! Tremendous work from Marcelo on the left! The defender skips past two challenges and gets to the byline before playing a perfect cutback pass into the path of Ronaldo. The forward then tees up Modric in the area, but the midfielder's thunderous shot is sent straight into the arms of Irureta. Either side of the keeper and he has a goal!
49'
Mikel Arruabarrena gets yellow.
48'
A confident start from Eibar results in their second shot on target, though Javi Lara didn't get the greatest power behind it as Navas makes a comfortable stop. The visitors have been starved of goals of late, so it would be a real confidence booster if they could find one at the Bernabeu.
46'
Mikel Arruabarrena enters the game and replaces Saúl Berjón.
The second half is now underway!
45'
There will be no stoppage time at the end of this first half as the referee brings an end to the action at the stroke of 45 minutes.
43'
STAT ATTACK: Real Madrid are unbeaten in their last 18 league matches at home against sides from the Basque region of Spain, which includes 15 consecutive victories (W17, D1).
41'
Dídac Vilá gets yellow.
Didac Vila becomes the first recipient of a yellow card as he has a few too many words for the referee following a free kick decision he did not agree with. Seconds later Real Madrid break into attack and Marcelo returns the favour, picking out Ronaldo with a testing pass, but the forward's shot is kept out brilliantly by Irureta at the neat post!
39'
Another patient build up from the hosts results in a shot on target. Ronaldo skips down the left flank following a string of passes, before picking out Marcelo atop the area. The right-back drives a powerful shot at goal, but Irureta handles it well to keep it out and grab the rebound just ahead of Chicharito.
37'
Chicharito gets back in defence and commits a foul with a lunge into the back of Ander Capa. The ensuing delivery into the area picks out Del Mora, but he doesn't get nearly enough power behind his header, allowing Navas to make a straightforward stop.
35'
The pace has slowed, but Real Madrid continue to dominate possession. They are always so patient in attack, like a shark circling their prey, mentally wearing it down. It's interesting to note as well that Ronaldo's goal was his first in La Liga from a free kick since March 26, 2014 against Sevilla - over a full calendar year!
33'
Important save! Real Madrid are looking to score nine again! Much like their opener, play resumes with the hosts coming close to scoring another. They advance into the Eibar penalty area and it creates a bit of chaos before Isco stabs a shot at goal, but Irureta dives to his right to keep it out.
31'
J. Hernández has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Arbeloa.
DELIGHTFUL HEADER AND REAL MADRID DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! The cross from Arbeloa was good, but Chicharito has plenty of work still to do from wide of the near post. He squares up the cross and sends a sensational glancing header past the keeper, off the far post and into the back of the net! He had to place that perfectly to slot it in and did just that!
29'
Eibar have weathered the storm a bit here, advancing the ball high up the pitch and winning a throw. They enjoy a good spell of possession in the attacking half, but create precious little from it. Nonetheless, it serves as a welcome break for their back line, who have been under intense pressure over the last 10 minutes.
27'
The pressure from Real Madrid is relentless. They are keeping the visitors pinned in their own end and are keeping possession wonderfully. It's all fizzling out for them with their crosses into the area, especially from Marcello, who is continuously playing these balls far too close to the keeper.
25'
STAT ATTACK: Real Madrid have hit the woodwork 25 times now this season, the highest total in Spain's top flight. Eibar are at the bottom with just one shot hitting the frame of the goal this campaign.
23'
ALMOST A SECOND! Just over a minute later and Ronaldo nearly has another as he latches onto a pass across the face of goal from Chicharito, but has to slide to get on the end of it, knocking the ball just wide of the post.
21'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
AND THE DEADLOCK IS BROKEN BY CRISTIANO RONALDO! It's a dreadful mistake from Irureta and he will want that one back. The Portuguese forward drives a strike at goal from a free kick and it takes a bit of a wacky bounce atop the six-yard box and fools the keeper who over-committed to his right. The movement was tricky no doubt, but he should have kept that one out.
19'
INCREDIBLE SEQUENCE! Txema Anibarro puts his body on the line to block a Ronaldo strike and he's feeling the effects of that one! The ensuing corner is headed towards goal by Ramos, but Irureta makes a tremendous save. The pressure stays on and Ronaldo hits the woodwork with his follow-up shot. The ball rolls across the line and back off the other post before Chicharito knocks in the rebound... but the flag is up for offside!
17'
HOW SPECTACULAR WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN?! Modric shows his class in possession, dribbling his way into a pocket of space on the right before sending a perfect cross into the centre. Ronaldo goes for the acrobatic bicycle-kick finish, but just can't get the contact right as Eibar manage to clear their lines.
15'
WONDERFUL DEFENDING! Isco makes a lovely probing run through midfield and sends a tidy pass into the path of Ronaldo, but the forward is immediately smothered in possession by the two centre-back and can do nothing to get a shot through on goal. Eibar will like the end result if they manage to smother Ronaldo like that throughout the match.
13'
With all the squad rotation in place by Carlo Ancelotti, the hosts are taking some time to get into the match. The communication and understanding between players in attack is lacking, with a number of attempted back-heels and no-look passes failing to find teammates.
11'
STAT ATTACK: Eibar's 1-0 victory over Malaga on Tuesday ended an 11-match winless run in league play, their worst-ever run in the top flight (D2, L9).
9'
IT WON'T COUNT! Well what a shock that would have been! The visitors win a corner of their own after a confident counter and it's flicked on to Raul Navas at the far post. He plays it into the centre and Saul Berjon taps it in, but the whistle had already gone as the attacker committed a clear foul with a push into the back of Raphael Varane.
7'
Eibar have defended stoutly in these opening stages. Jese and Arbeloa link-up well along the right but a wonderful tackle from Raul Navas breaks up the move and forces Real Madrid to settle for another corner, which the visitors again defend with ease.
5'
UH-OH! This will have to be something to keep an eye on! Behind the play, Cristiano Ronaldo pulls up lame after an innocent looking play and seems to be feeling a bit of discomfort in his knee. It's likely nothing to worry about, but definitely something to take note of in case he shows any lingering effects.
3'
Real Madrid have enjoyed the bulk of possession in these early stages but there's not much more than a bit of poking and probing in midfield. Isco takes matters into his own hands and gets a good shot off from 25-yards out, but it deflects wide of the near post for a corner.
1'
And we're off! Real Madrid are sporting all white, attacking right to left, with Eibar in purple. Here we go!
Good day La Liga fans and welcome to Madrid! The Santiago Bernabeu is our venue this evening as Real Madrid continue their pursuit of first place when they take on an Eibar side who are inching ever-so close to safety. I am Alex Moretto and I will be your in-game host, guiding you through the match LIVE as it happens!
Real Madrid require plenty of help from the rest of the division as they chase their first title since the 2011/12 season. They trail Barcelona by four points with eight matches remaining. Los Blancos will need them to slip up at least twice, while taking care of their own responsibilities by winning their remaining matches. Add in the distraction of the highly-anticipated Madrid Derby in the Champions League quarter-finals and it's looking like a daunting task for Real Madrid to end their league title drought this season.
Eibar sit six points and four places above the relegation, so barring a disastrous late collapse, their place in Spain's top flight should be safe. It's been a season full of ups and downs, but securing their stay in the Premiera was ultimately the end goal and it's about all the team and fans could have hoped for from their first campaign in the top flight.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
EIBAR (4-2-3-1): Xabi Irureta; Lillo, Anibarro, Raul Navas, Didac Vila; Dani Garcia, Borja Fernandez; Ander Capa, Javi Lara, Saul Berjon; Manu del Moral.
REAL MADRID SUBS: Nacho, Carvajal, Casillas, Lucas Silva, Munoz, Pepe, Benzema.
Carlo Ancelotti has opted to rest some key members of the squad ahead of their clash with Madrid rivals Atletico in the Champions League this coming week. Iker Casillas, Daniel Carvajal and Karim Benzema are left on the substitutes bench, replaced by Keylor Navas, Alvaro Arbeloa and Javier Hernandez. Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez also miss out due to suspension, while Gareth Bale, Sami Khedira and Fabio Coentrao sit out injured, paving the way for Asier Illarramendi, Luka Modric and Jese to get back into the team.
REAL MADRID (4-3-3): Navas; Arbeloa, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo; Modric, Illarramendi, Isco; Jese, Ronaldo, Chicharito.
Gaizka Garitano has made a few changes of his own to Eibar's starting XI ahead of today's match. Eneko Boveda misses out due to suspension and is replaced by Lillo at right-back, with Raul Navas slotting in at centre-half. Meanwhile, Manu del Moral gets the start up top, pushing Saul Berjon to the wing and Mikel Arruabarrena to the bench.
It's a typically spirited atmosphere inside the Bernabeu ahead of the match - and while this can be viewed simply as a formality ahead of the Madrid derby on Tuesday, the stakes are far from small. Carlo Ancelotti's side can ill-afford a slip in their remaining eight matches if they are to have any hope of catching Barcelona in the title race.
HALF TIME: REAL MADRID 2-0 EIBAR. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring from a free kick, but Irureta will not be happy with conceding it. Nonetheless, the keeper was superb throughout the opening 45 minutes, only being beaten after that by a flawless Chicharito header. It's a comfortable lead for the hosts at the break and a deserved one at that.
FULL TIME: REAL MADRID 3-0 EIBAR. Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Javier Hernandez and Jese Rodriguez provide the hosts with a comfortable three points as they keep the pressure on the Catalan giants atop the table, while the visitors' poor run of form continues.
I am Alex Moretto and I would like to thank you all for joining me here today. Good bye!
