RYAN IS AT IT AGAIN! Konoplyanka drifts to the right this time to get into possession and finds himself inside the area after a scintilating counter. He tries to slot it in at the near post, but Ryan closes his legs at the last second to keep it out!
90' +1
HE HAS TO LEAVE THAT! A corner is delivered into a teasing area by Vazquez. Vormer runs into the area and appears to be getting onto the end of it, but Silva doesn't see him, instead trying to bring the ball down in the box - but only proves to eliminate the threat.
90'
There will be three minutes of stoppage time. Can either of these sides find a breakthrough?
89'
S. Coopman enters the game and replaces L. Refaelov.
R. Bezus enters the game and replaces R. Rotan.
88'
Dnipro seem to be throwing caution to the wind as they get forward and make a desperate last push for an away goal. They commit plenty of men into attack as Seleznyov wins a corner, but a silly decision by Cheberyachko to practically tackle Ryan sees the attack come to an end.
86'
MASSIVE SAVE! That would have been devistating for Brugge had the visitors scored there! Konoplyanka proves a menace in possession, and Vormer doesn't do enough to force him to the outside. The winger cuts onto his right and unleashes a shot at goal, but Ryan dives across to push it behind for a corner! Great goalkeeping!
84'
GOOD DECISION BY THE REFEREE! A free kick is played short by the hosts, straight into the path of Rafaelov on the left, who streaks into the area. Bruno Gama rushes back for cover, sliding in from behind and breaking up the move. The hosts scream for a penalty, but the referee had a very good look at it and makes the right decision not to award it, as the substitute clearly got the ball.
82'
Douglas stands tall again! A long ball played forward is brought down and controlled well by De Sutter. The striker has Dierckx with him, but the Brazilian centre-half holds his ground very well to prevent him from getting through, before a no nonsense clearance relieves the pressure.
80'
Bruno Gama enters the game and replaces V. Luchkevych.
WONDERFUL DELIVERY! Konoplyanka charges forward, making up for lost time, and lifts a graceful ball into the cenre with the outside of his boot, picking out the run of Rotan. The attacker gets his head to it, but sends his effort straight at Ryan! What a chance that was!
79'
T. Dierckx enters the game and replaces J. Izquierdo.
Minute
Description
78'
Y. Selezniov enters the game and replaces N. Kalinić.
Substitutions from both teams here. Dnipro bring striker Yevhen Seleznyov on in place of Kalinic, while the hosts introduce 19-year-old Tuur Dierckx in attack, with Izquierdo's night coming to an end.
76'
STAT ATTACK: Club Brugge are unbeaten in their last 28 matches at the Jan Breydel Stadium across all competitions (W21, D7). Their last home defeat came back in May 2014 against Anderlecht.
74'
Good defending! Rafaelov sprints forward, covering plenty on his way into the area. He takes on Matos and creates just enough of a path for a shot, but the defender does well to stick out a leg and get a slight deflection to take the sting out of the strike.
72'
T. De Sutter enters the game and replaces O. Oularé.
Luchkevych is flagged for an offside, and Brugge use the stoppage to make the first substitution of the match. Tom De Sutter comes on to play striker, in place of Oulare. The veteran forward is a big target and what he lacks in pace, he certainly makes up for in strength.
70'
Konoplyanka has seen far less of the ball in this second half, which is perhaps a compliment to De fauw's defending, but Dnipro need to get back to feeding their workhorse. He is the likeliest member of their squad to put forth the quality to break this deadlock, but he can't do so if he doesn't get the ball at his feet.
68'
MAY AS WELL! Kankava, hardly known for his offensive prowess, picks up the ball in midfield and skips forward. None of the Brugge midfielders close him down, so he tries his luck from just under 30-yards out, but can't direct his effort on target as it curls wide of the far post.
66'
STAT ATTACK: Dnipro have conceded the most free kicks of any team in the competition, with 179 fouls committed, though they have 171 fouls against them, also the highest total in this season’s Europa League. Yvhen Konoplyanka is the most fouled player in the competition, impeded 36 times, 10 more than any other player.
64'
Another foul! Every Dnipro attack seems to be coming to an end as a result of a free kick which they concede. They are sliding carelessly into a number of challenges and the home fans are livid with the physical style of play on display by the visitors.
62'
The ensuing free kick is delivered into a dangerous area by Konoplyanka, but Douglas slams into Ryan, conceeding a foul and ending the attack.
61'
L. De Bock gets yellow.
IT'S RAINING CAUTIONS! Luchkevych shows good skill to beat De Bock on the right, and the defender is left with no chance but to foul the winger. He picks up a yellow as a result, but it was an important challenge to prevent what would have been a good scoring chance.
60'
R. Vormer gets yellow.
The pace is picking up brilliantly here as Club Brugge push forward in waves. De fauw and Rafaelov prove menacing on the right, but Dnipro defend every cross well, before winning it back and breaking on a quick counter. Vormer slides in to slow Rotan and he will pick up a yellow card for the foul.
58'
FIRED OVER! Rafaelov takes, but he can't get his shot to dip enough to test Boyko, sending his effort over the bar from 20-yards out.
57'
Successive yellow cards for Dnipro! Matos slides in with a two-footed challenge on Vormer and seconds later Cheberyachko takes out Rafaelov just atop the area. More concerning for the visitors is the free kick to follow here, in a very promising position.
56'
Y. Cheberiachko gets yellow.
55'
Léo Matos gets yellow.
SUPERB BLOCK! Brugge have slowed a bit after their quick start to the second half. Dnipro pass it around patiently in attack and the ball falls kindly to Luchkevych after a challenge. He lines up a shot and gets plenty behind it, but Mechele flies in from out of nowhere to turn it aside!
53'
STAT ATTACK: Club Brugge are joint leading scorers in the Europa League knockout stage, registering 11 goals in their four matches, all victories (tied with Everton).
51'
The hosts have enjoyed a very encouraging start to this second half. They have scored the bulk of their goals in the knockout stage in the final frame, so this hardly comes as a surprise.
49'
INCHES AWAY FROM THE OPENER! De fauw gets on the end of the corner, thanks to some poor Dnipro defending, but his glancing header drifts wide of the far post by the narrowest of margins! Boyko was beaten there!
48'
Much better from Oulare! The striker acted as creater for much of the first half, but they need him to use his big frame to make himself a target in the centre. He does so here and De fauw picks him out with a cross, but Cheberyachko does just enough to nudge it behind for a corner.
46'
Here we go again!
45' +2
The two minutes of stoppage time have come to an end!
45'
HOW HAS HE MISSED THAT?! Konoplyanka delivers a corner in and Ryan comes off his line to collect, but gets nowhere near the ball. It comes to Kalinic in the centre, though caught the striker by surprise it seems as he sends his header over the bar!
43'
STAT ATTACK: Dnipro are making their first ever appearance in the quarter-finals of the competition, though they did reach this stage of the European Champion Club Cup in both 1985 and 1990.
41'
SPECTACULAR HIT! Vormer wins the ball in attack and plays a quick pass into the path of Rafaelov. The Israeli international takes a couple steps forward and unleashes a bullet from 30-yards out. It looks to be going high but dips at the last second, dropping onto the top of the goal! That certainly gave Boyko something to think about.
39'
HAS TO BE BETTER! There's the threat he poses! Sloppy passing in midfield sees Vazquez give the ball away to Konoplyanka. The winger sprints forward and shifts inside between two defenders for a shot, but doesn't get enough behind it to trouble Ryan!
37'
De fauw at it again! Dnipro contiue to attack down Konoplyanka's flank and understandably so. The winger picks out the overlapping run of Rotan, but De fauw reads it perfectly to stay with the run, slide in and play it behind off the attacker for a goal kick. Second later he makes a good run forward, which Rafaelov picks out, but he tries to beat one too many defenders as the attack fizzles out.
35'
V. Fedorchuk gets yellow.
Fedorchuk slides in with a needless challenge, trying hard to win the ball back in attack, but instead taking out the legs of Vormer from behind. The Dnipro midfielder is shown a yellow card and that means he will miss the return leg.
33'
Play is halted momentarily as Oulare goes down following an innocent mid-air collision with Fedetskiy, that has left both players worse for wear. The Brugge striker got the worst of it, however, as he's been cut open above his eye.
31'
STAT ATTACK: Club Brugge have been held scoreless just once in their last 28 home matches, a goalless draw against Torino in the group stage. They kept 13 clean sheets over that span.
29'
VITAL BLOCK! It's end to end stuff here in Belgium! Following a Dnipro corner, Douglas puts in a great challenge to win the ball back and keep the pressure on. He tees up Cheberyachko, but his shot is blocked fearlessly by Silva and behind for another corner.
27'
MAGNIFICENT SAVE! Oulare holds the ball up brilliantly and plays a sensational ball forward to send Izquierdo through on goal. The winger is in alone against the keeper, but Boyko stands tall and makes a lovely reactionary stop!
25'
Lovely defending! The always dangerous Konoplyanka sprints forward on a break and Brugge find themselves streched at the back. He takes on De fauw one-on-one, in a battle the winger will always be favoured to win, but this time the right-back stays with the run and slides in with a well-timed challenge to knock the ball behind for a goal kick.
23'
Careless! Leo Matos is penalized for a foul on Rafaelov. The free kick is played short and Izquierdo plays a teasing ball into the area, but Cheberyachko does well to arrive just in time and head behind for a corner.
21'
STAT ATTACK: Dnipro are joint lowest scorers in the knockout stage, along with Zenit, among teams still remaining in the competition. They have six goals (one came in extra time) in their four matches from the round of 32 and beyond.
19'
The match has opened up nicely as we move along here. Dnipro are looking quite capable in attack, but the threat of Rafaelov and Izquierdo on the wings for Brugge has given the visitors something to think about. Back and forth they go, looking for a breakthrough.
17'
CHAOS IN DEFENCE! Dnipro get forward and look very settled in attack. Konoplyanka darts through midfield but sees his shot blocked. Simons and Mechele get two more blocks in as the pressure stays on with some good fortune, but finally the hosts manage to scramble clear.
15'
DAZZLING RUN! Absolutely magnificent running from Jose Izquierdo. He dribbles his way nicely past three defenders on his way to the top of the area, but his shot goes just wide of the far post with the aid of a deflection.
13'
Rafaelov is starting to get into the match, with the hosts feeding him the ball on the right. He is their playmaker, and the joint-leading scorer remaining in the competition, so they will want him to see as much of the ball as possible. He links up well here with Vormer in this latest foray into attack, and wins his side a corner.
11'
MASSIVE LET OFF FOR BRUGGE! Fantastic play from Luchkevych on the right as he prances into the area, past the challenge of De Bock. He shows great vision to cut it back for Rotan, unmarked in the centre, but the attacker blasts it miles over the bar! He has to at least be testing the goalkeeper from there!
9'
STAT ATTACK: Club Brugge are the only remaining unbeaten team in the Europa League proper this season, having not lost a match since the start of the group stage (W7, D3). They also won all four of their matches in the qualifying phase.
7'
Dnipro certainly aren't hesitating to push forward and have enjoyed much more time in attack through the opening stages of the match. They sense a real chance to get after this makeshift back four with Meunier, Duarte and Engels all out injured, so they will do what they can to push forward and grab a crucial away goal.
5'
Club Brugge have a problem early on here as their highly touted goalkeeper Matt Ryan has gone down in pain after stretching to try and prevent a corner. He seems to have landed awkwardly on his shoulder, but insists he is fine to continue - it's something we will have to keep an eye on.
3'
Dnipro have enjoyed a positive start to the match, though their intent is clear straight from the start. Jaba Kankava and Valeriy Fedorchuk have dropped into a very deep position and remain there when their side gets forward in attack. It will be a very disciplined, defensive midset from the visitors who will try and hit Brugge on the counter.
1'
Off we go then! Club Brugge in blue and black stripes, Dnipro in white.
Club Brugge have written their own impressive story in this season's Europa League, having yet to lose a match in the competition. Their 5-2 aggregate victory over the Turkish side caught most by surprise, after Slaven Bilic's men got past Liverpool in the round of 32. Club Brugge are chasing a historic treble, having already won the Belgian Cup, while currently leading the domestic league. The pressure of the elusive treble is too much for some to handle, but self-belief is running high in their camp and with the form they are in, anything is possible.
Myron Markevych has downplayed his side’s chances, insisting “Dnipro cannot win the competition,” but insists they will try to the best of their abilities. It’s not exactly the greatest vote of confidence from the coach for a team who have disposed of domestic champions Olympiakos and Ajax in the last two rounds. They boast plenty of quality throughout their team and get some key players back tonight as they try to keep this dream going.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
CLUB BRUGGE (4-3-3): Ryan; De fauw, Simons, Mechele, De Bock; Silva, Vormer, Vazquez; Rafaelov, Izquierdo, Obbi Oulare.
Hello and welcome to Belgium, where the Europa League quarter-final kicks off tonight! The Jan Breydel Stadium pits two of the competition's feel good stories against each other this evening as Club Brugge and Dnipro attempt to keep their magical runs alive. I am Alex Moretto and I will be your in-game host, guiding you through the match LIVE as it happens!
CLUB BRUGGE SUBS: Kujovic, De Sutter, Coopman, Reuten, Dierckx, Libbrecht, Van den Buijs.
DNIPRO SUBS: Bruno Gama, Bezus, Lastuvka, Seleznyov, Svatok, Vlad, Bliznichenko.
The Belgian side have a grocery list of injuries, with Oscar Duarte, Bjorn Engels, Felipe Gedoz and Thomas Meunier all forced to miss out on the match. Timmy Simons and Davy De fauw drop back to fill the void in defence left by Duarte and Meunier, with Francisco Silva and Victor Vazquez taking their place in midfield. The other change comes up top where Tom De Sutter is replaced by Mamadou Obbi Oulare. There are no surprises there, however, as the duo have generally been sharing time throughout the competition.
Artem Fedetskyi, captain Ruslan Rotan and striker Roman Zozulya return from suspension, though the latter is unavailable anyhow as a result of a knee injury. Fedetskyi's return is a timely one as he can slot back in at right-back in place of the injured Egidio, with Leo Matos pushing over to the left. Rotan also slots back into the starting line-up in place of Roman Bezus, the second of just two changes made by coach Myron Markevych.
HALF TIME: CLUB BRUGGE 0-0 DNIPRO. Both teams have shown flashes of what they are capable of, though we still await a breakthrough after 45 minutes. The hosts had their best chance through Izquierdo on a breakaway, but Boyko was able to turn him aside. Dnipro had a few chances of their own, but the current scoreline is much more beneficial to them, with Brugge eager to get a lead to take with them to Ukraine.
FULL TIME: CLUB BRUGGE 0-0 DNIPRO. There is no separating these two sides after the first leg, but it certainly wasn't for a lack of chances. Both goalkeepers stood tall, with Ryan especially saving his side in the final 10 minutes. It's not a bad result for either side, with everything still to play for now in the return leg.
I am Alex Moretto and I would like to thank you all for joining me here today. Good bye!
