No dice from the corner, and the final whistle goes! Colombia hold on for a priceless win!
90' +5
Filipe Luis makes inroads down the left and plays a great ball into space, but there's no takers! On the very next attack, the Chelsea full-back gets forward again and hooks a cross towards the near post, but Zapata takes no chances, heading the ball out for a corner!
90' +4
Some afters between Bacca and Alves now, with Ibarbo playing the role of peacemaker. The referee has some work to do as the frustration has finally boiled over. He's kept a good handle on things, Enrique Osses. Last few seconds of injury time remaining now.
90' +2
Into the second of four minutes of stoppage time, and Pekerman is losing his mind on the touchline. He can taste victory now, but Brazil have a history of last-minute shocks in this edition of the Copa America! The referee has to step in to separate Neymar and Murillo after an altercation. All hugs in the end though.
90'
JAMES NEARLY WRAPS IT UP! At this late stage, he still has something in reserve as a burst of speed takes him past two blue shirts and into the box. He lashes a low shot across Jefferson towards the bottom corner, but it nearly kisses the outside of the post on its way out! It started to bend at just the wrong moment for the Real Madrid man.
89'
Luis tries to orchestrate down the left, but he's no match for the motor of Sanchez, who barges in to win the ball. What's more, he gets the luck of a deflection and earns his side a goal-kick in the process. Luis beats the ground in frustration at how that last play developed.
87'
NEYMAR HAS TO CONTROL THAT! For one second, he evades the magnetic attention of Zapata as he chases down a lovely pass out of the back. However, despite time and space, the ball bounces ahead of him and out of play! Had he brought that down, then the shot was definitely on!
85'
Tardelli can't find any space on the edge of the box, but Douglas Costa picks up the pieces and works the ball to Coutinho. However, the Liverpool playmaker dies not come close to troubling Ospina. In fact, I can't remember a genuinely important save that the Arsenal keeper has had to make. Says it all, really.
83'
It's all Brazil now at least in terms of possession, though there continues to be a lack of ideas as to how to break down this well-organised Colombia unit. This is a completely different Cafeteros team than the one that stunk out the joint against Venezuela.
81'
Douglas Costa has been useful off the bench once again, and he threatens down the left, drawing a last-ditch clearance from Zuniga. Meanwhile, Pekerman plots his final change of the game, with the tireless Valencia withdrawn and Mejia entering the fray.
Minute
Description
80'
A. Mejía enters the game and replaces E. Valencia.
79'
Carlos Sanchez continues to impress in the centre of the park for Colombia. He scatters a potential attack involving Coutinho and Neymar. His midfield partner Valencia has also shown a lot of discipline to frustrate Brazil. Time starting to run out here.
77'
More changes in the offing from both managers. Elias has been pulled for Tardelli as Dunga positions another attacking option on the pitch. Meanwhile, Pekerman has swapped out Teo for Bacca, the man he initially replaced in the starting XI. Just over 10 minutes to go.
76'
Diego Tardelli enters the game and replaces Elias.
C. Bacca enters the game and replaces T. Gutiérrez.
75'
Colombia are starting to work on some possession more in the last few minutes after a long period of dormancy. This has been a frustrating exercise for Brazil for most of this game as they look to break down the opposition. Pekerman has prepared his team well for this.
73'
A free-kick for Colombia is cleared only to Ibarbo down the right, and the substitute makes the most of his bruising frame to out-muscle his opponent and tee up Armero inside the area. However, the full-back lets the pressure get to him and gets nowhere near the target with his finish.
71'
Ibarbo is more of a physical presence than Falcao, which appears to have been in Pekerman's thinking as he gets his team to play more defensively. The Cagliari man will be a more suitable outlet on the break with his speed, as will Cuadrado, who has continued to look Los Cafeteros' most viable option in the final third for the second half.
69'
V. Ibarbo enters the game and replaces R. Falcao.
Murillo is down on the deck after a challenge with Neymar, and that gives both coaches an opportunity to make their substitutions. Ibarbo will come on as expected with Falcao withdrawn after another frustrating game up front. Douglas Costa also replaces Willian for the Samba Boys.
68'
Douglas Costa enters the game and replaces Willian.
67'
Douglas Costa, Brazil's ace in the hole off the bench during the last game against Peru, looks to be their latest introduction. Colombia haven't shown much in attack for quite a while, and it's getting closer to the point on the clock where they would probably shut up shop for good.
65'
Ibarbo looks to be the first Colombia change of the game, and Dunga is also making motions to his bench to ready a substitution of his own. The match has become bogged down in midfield during the last few plays, but that's not affected the atmosphere one bit.
63'
This match continues to teeter on the brink of an explosion, whether it be another goal or an infraction that forces the referee into a red card. And believe me, a sending off is a possibility here with both of these teams feeding off the insane energy of this crowd!
61'
Just over an hour gone here and Colombia are starting to cave a little. However, if Brazil continue to pass up chances to get back in the game, then their lead may well stay intact. Neymar gets up in anger after a tough challenge from Carlos Sanchez left him on his back.
59'
Ospina is down injured, probably more out of embarrassment than anything. He''ll be attended to by the physios as that last miss just begins to sink in for Brazil. You CANNOT get much clearer chances than that. I bet Tardelli is looking on from the bench with an indignant shake of his head.
57'
YOU CANNOT MISS CLEARER CHANCES THAN THAT! Murillo's terrible back-pass sells Ospina short, and Elias is able to challenge the Arsenal keeper for the ball! It breaks for Firmino just outside the area and with Ospina still down, he has an empty net to slot into. However, he somehow side-foots it over the bar, and immediately drops to the ground in disbelief!
55'
Neymar can't trouble Ospina from a potentially dangerous free-kick. Still too early to be making these sort of predictions, but if Colombia close out this result, then they will be right back in the hunt for a place in the top two of Group C. Peru and Venezuela will do battle tomorrow.
53'
GREAT PLAY FROM CUADRADO! Well, everything except the finish. He's afforded an inexcusable amount of space at the top of the box and makes the most of it, working the ball onto his left boot before letting fly, but his attempt flashes wide of the goal! You would have bet on him to hit the target from that range and with that kind of space.
51'
Murillo races off the defensive line to confront Alves, who was looking to overlap with menace down the right again. Good anticipation by the goalscorer, who recognized that Armero was about to be torched on the overlap. The fire in this game has not let up.
49'
TERRIBLE FINISH FROM NEYMAR! Brazil seize on a Colombia turnover to slip their captain in down the right-hand side. He has a lot of space to gallop into and a lot of goal to aim at, but fluffs his lines with a horrendous slice that the defence can mop up with ease!
47'
One change to round up from the break, and it's not a surprise to see Fred depart. He really struggled under the intensity of Colombia's approach towards the end of the first half. On comes Coutinho, who was in contention for a starting place and will now have 45 minutes to help Brazil resurrect a result from this game.
46'
Philippe Coutinho enters the game and replaces Fred.
Here we go again - more of the same please!
45' +2
That was Neymar's second yellow card of the tournament, which will see him suspended for Brazil's final group game against Venezuela. But forget about the future for a second, in the present, the Selecao captain almost picks up another booking for a careless barge into the back of Sanchez! The referee lets him off with a lecture though.
45'
Neymar gets yellow.
HOW HAVE BRAZIL NOT SCORED! Alves is sublime on the attack once again, and he races down the right to hoist a great cross to the back post for Barcelona team-mate Neymar. The skipper dives onto the delivery with a header, and somehow Ospina saves! He then attacks the rebound but it glances off his hand first, which the referee spotted and responded with a yellow card.
44'
SCINTILLATING MOVE! James wants to wriggle to the byline, but deceives his marker at the last second to hook a low ball into Teo. The striker then tees up Cuadrado with a magnificent back-heel that has Brazil's defence watching with bated breath. However, the former Fiorentina player swishes his effort just wide of the post!
42'
Cuadrado lays the ball off and attempts to spin away from Firmino, but the Hoffenheim man made little effort to get out of the winger's way. The referee steps in with a yellow card, which was a tad harsh. That was about as basic as fouls get - perhaps the official is trying to establish that he won't stand for any sort of nonsense.
41'
Roberto Firmino gets yellow.
40'
A three-on-three counter-attack from Colombia has Falcao charging down the middle with options on either side. James in particular would have been a smart choice to slip in down the left, but the Cafeteros captain takes matters into his own hands with a 25-yard smash, but it's sent into the stands. Should have made a better decision.
38'
CLOSE CALL! Armero does excellently to flight a dangerous ball into the heart of the area. It's slightly behind Falcao, who can't direct it on goal, and it flashes out down the far side with Teo just shy of making a connection! Colombia buoyed by that opener here!
36'
J. Murillo has scored a goal for Colombia!
COLOMBIA HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD! This time the set-piece pays off! Cuadrado whips another free-kick into the mixer and Brazil can't clear. The ball is loose, and Murillo spots his opportunity to smash a great effort into the back of the net!
35'
Disappointing end to that set-piece as the Brazil wall mops up the delivery with little difficulty.
34'
Teo takes a pass from James on the turn and releases the ball, a second before he's clattered by Fernandinho. There was little attempt to play the ball there from the Manchester City midfielder, and the referee has little choice but to give him a yellow card, and Colombia a free-kick in a threatening position. Might be juuuust too far out for a shot though.
33'
Fernandinho gets yellow.
32'
Zuniga and Neymar. I've purposefully avoided mentioning the pair in the same sentence, but it's impossible to keep that going any longer. The Colombia man fouls the Selecao captain down the near side, and the noise from the crowd is just deafening. They know what happened the last time these two players got tangled!
30'
Half an hour gone, and you get the feeling that this match is on the verge of a breakthrough. I think the roof might be blown off this joint if Colombia open the scoring. Cuadrado drills a tricky effort that requires a save by Jefferson to divert it around the post!
28'
The intensity of this match is unbelievable. Neymar and Firmino are starting to assert themselves on proceedings, with the Barcelona man especially looking a threat whenever he gets more than five yards to build a head of steam. Murillo has to step in to douse a dangerous attack.
26'
Neymar is starting to run at the defence a little more, but his latest foray is snuffed out by a collapsing wall of yellow jerseys. Brazil attack down the other flank on the next play, but Alves, who has shown a propensity to cut infield tonight, cannot pick the right pass from 20 yards out.
24'
Colombia are finding it a little harder to break down the Selecao back four, and their cause won't be helped with efforts like that from Cuadrado. The Chelsea winger, from an angle that was screaming for a cross, instead unleashes a speculative effort that Jefferson can watch cross the byline.
22'
Alves was a concern to be substituted for a second as the mobile stretcher was called for, but the Barcelona full-back appears to be fine to continue here in Santiago. Brazil have Neymar dropping deeper in an attempt to get more involved in the buildup play.
20'
T. Gutiérrez gets yellow.
Colombia are furious as the referee awards Armero a yellow card for a foul on Alves, despite Teo being the clear offender. Their staunch protests seem to have convinced him that he made a mistake though, and to his credit, he appears to have reversed his initial decision, booking Teo after all.
18'
This crowd is getting whipped into a frenzy by seemingly every play. It's almost like Brazil are the away side, with throngs of Cafeteros jerseys visible in the stands. Much better from Pekerman's team compared to their opening embarrassment against Peru.
16'
James is looking like a source for a breakthrough down the left-hand side. Alves simply cannot keep tabs on him, and he'll need more help from Elias down that flank, especially with Armero a willing supporting runner for Colombia on the overlap.
14'
Neymar's run fails to break down the defence, and Colombia can break. A long ball out of midfield finds Teo running away from Miranda, and the striker uses some combination of his head and his neck to lay it off to Falcao. The Monaco attacker doesn't need a second invitation to lash one on goal, but it's a foot or two wide of the target in the end.
12'
The carnage continues in midfield, mostly due to Colombia's refusal to let Brazil establish any sort of rhythm. Still, the Selecao are starting to look a little more poised in possession, but Neymar and Firmino have been rather isolated so far, with the ball unable to reach them in ideal positions.
10'
Brazil work their first attack of the game, but it's a forgettable one as Luis drills one right down the throat of Ospina. Starting to spice up on the pitch in terms of challenges, with the referee already having to tell a few players to calm down. Watch this space.
8'
Cuadrado's delivery is assured, but not for the first time, Miranda is there to put out the fire. However, James keeps it alive and launches another teaser into the mixer. Some of the aerial supply from Pekerman's team has been really excellent so far- I wonder if it's something they worked on specifically in preparation for this match?
7'
A lovely tempo developing to this one, though Dunga will not be liking this one bit as his side is under considerable pressure. Colombia have won a free-kick down the right-hand side now, and Cuadrado stands over it. Nervous times for the Samba Boys defence.
5'
Colombia continue to probe to great effect, and James exploits a lapse in positioning from James down the flank. He hooks a dangerous-looking cross into the mixer, but it's ultimately too high for Falcao to attack at the back post. It's all Colombia on the pitch, and in the stands too.
3'
Teo is shooed off the ball by Miranda, but it only breaks to James about 25 yards from goal. The Real Madrid man smashes one on goal, but it''s blocked and out for a corner, which comes to nothing. Still, strong start to the content from Jose Pekerman's team.
1'
Off we go then!
Anyone fancy a World Cup rematch? Thought so. Welcome to our live coverage as Brazil take on Colombia at Estadio Monumental in Group C of Copa America 2015! It's been more or less a year since the Selecao dumped the Cafeteros out of the Fifa showpiece at the quarter-final stage, and the emotions are sure to be running high for this one. I'm Keeghann Sinann, your guide for all the action.
The Selecao enter this match on the back of a 11-game winning streak since Dunga took over as boss. They made a victorious start to the Copa too, though they had to wait until the dying minutes for Douglas Costa to settle a tight opener against Peru after Cueva and Neymar had traded early strikes. Quite simply, Brazil are looking like the team to beat at this summer's tournament in Chile.
Colombia will want to forget all about their first Copa match, but you can bet that they won't forgive it. They went down 1-0 to Venezuela in one of the shocks of the tournament so far, with Rondon winning the match for La Vinotinto right on the hour mark. That broke a string of seven consecutive wins, with their last defeat occuring on that fateful night in Brazil last summer.
Brazil's record against Colombia is pretty spectacular. They've won 17 of the last 27 meetings between the pair, losing just twice during that span. Jose Pekerman's team will want to erase that rather embarrassing record tonight in Santiago, in order to put themselves in good stead for the quarter-finals of the Copa. They will take comfort in the fact that Peru matched the Selecao stride for stride for much of their encounter.
David Luiz's mistake in the buildup to Peru's goal has seen him dropped to the bench in favour of Thiago Silva, who partners Miranda. Diego Tardelli also had a pretty forgettable game against Los Incas, and he has been replaced by Roberto Firmino in attack. Philippe Coutinho was in line for a starting berth after recovering from injury, but he will have to settle for a place on the bench.
Pekerman opts to freshen up his attack with the introduction of Teo Gutierrez in place of Carlos Bacca. Radamel Falcao keeps his place despite an abject game against Venezuela, while poor Jackson Martinez is forced to kick his heels on the bench. Otherwise, it's an unchanged XI from Los Cafeteros for their second Group C game.
Kickoff is about five minutes away and we're seeing a much larger Colombian contingent in the stands than their Brazilian counterparts. Looks like a pretty packed house here at the Estadio Monumental.
The players stand in honour to pay tribute to Brazil legend Zito with a minute's silence. The former Selecao international was on the 1958 and 1962 World Cup teams, and also had a mentoring role with Neymar during his days at Santos.
HALF TIME! The referee sends both teams down the tunnel to cool off after a ferocious first half! Murillo's first-ever goal for his country has given Colombia the lead, and in truth, Pekerman's team have started and finished the opening period in the ascendancy. Neymar could not convert from Brazil's best chance just before the break, picking up a booking in the process that will rule him out of the Venezuela game. It's a thrill a minute here in the Chilean capital, and I'll be bringing you the restart in just a bit!
Both benches are cleared and the players are squaring up to each other in the immediate aftermath of this match, with a red card flashed by the referee! That changes nothing though, as Murillo's first-half goal gives Colombia some measure of revenge for the 2014 World Cup, and their first points of the Copa. Brazil's 11-match winning streak is smashed to pieces, and Group C remains wide open!
That's all from me, Keeghann Sinanan here' signing off and wishing you all the best. Hope you enjoyed this as much as I did!
