Still no indication of how much time is to be added on, but the tempo has fizzled out with third place settled now. Nonetheless, it's Peru who are back on the front foot, patiently passing it around near the corner flag in anticipation of the final whistle.
90' +1
P. Hurtado enters the game and replaces A. Carrillo.
90'
Celebrations continue here for Peru, even as play resumes. The smile on the face of Guerrero says it all. He's worked his tail off tonight trying to add to his tournament tally and finally it pays off.
89'
P. Guerrero has scored a goal for Peru! Assist by J. Sánchez.
GUERRERO FINALLY GETS HIS GOAL! Paraguay are caught lacking numbers in defence and Peru take full advantage. Joel Sanchez is played through on the right, before picking out Guerrero in the centre - and he's never going to miss from there.
88'
J. Sánchez gets yellow.
86'
Wasted opportunity! A clumsy and needless challenge from Yotun gifts Paraguay with a free kick in a threatening position about 25-yards out from goal. They pack the penalty area, but the delivery from Romero is lifted over the head of everyone and disappointingly behind for a goal kick.
85'
Y. Yotún gets yellow.
84'
J. Sánchez enters the game and replaces Y. Reyna.
STAT ATTACK: Paraguay have won just once from their last 13 games at the Copa America, excluding penalties (D8, L4) – coming in this year's group phase against Jamaica. It’s a remarkable achievement considering they reached the finals in 2011.
82'
Should be game over! Blistering counter from Peru, led by Carrillo. The goalscorer skips to the top of the area and sends a ball beyond the last defender to pick out Reyna. It's just out of his reach, but he keeps play alive and tees up Cueva. His strike is deflected smartly by Guerrero, but it lands on the roof of the net.
Minute
Description
80'
OFFSIDE! Marcos Caceres whips an inviting ball into the area and it looks as if Paraguay are through on goal as Romero meets it at the far post, but the flag goes up. It's met by heavy protests, but there were three attackers standing offside, so I'm not sure what all the fuss was about.
78'
Smart goalkeeping. He hasn't been the busiest keeper, but Gallese has risen to the occasion when called upon. Bobadilla uses his pace to beat Ascues to a through ball from Romero, but it's read smartly by the Peru goalie who is quick to get off his line and collect.
76'
Peru seem to have weathered the storm as they get back in possession in search of an insurance marker. Paraguay should be expected to muster one last push for an equalizer, but at the moment it would appear as though Los Incas should see this out with relative ease.
74'
STAT ATTACK: The last time Peru defeated Paraguay at the Copa America was as a result of a forfeit, after the game originally finished 2-2. Los Guaranies made more than the permitted number of substitutions.
72'
Delightful link-up! Cueva plays a stylish pass over the top for Carrillo, who bursts into the area from the right flank. Guerrero, incredibly eager to get himself on the scoresheet, awaits a cross in the centre, but Ramos gets an important block in.
70'
Where has this been all night for Paraguay? Finally they've adopted a sense of urgency, but has it come too late. Benitez is the clear catalyst behind this latest surge, providing some much-needed direction and pace off the bench.
68'
BENITEZ DENIED THE EQUALIZER! He's provided an immediate impact off the bench. It's head over heels the best move of the night from Paraguay. Barrios is eventually sent in down the right and his ball across the face of goal seems to present Benitez with a tap-in, but Ascues heroically slides in to deny a clear equalizer with Gallese at the forward's mercy. Incredible defending right there!
66'
Clever attempt! Romero lines up a free kick from just under 30-yards out. He drills it low and to the left of the wall from nearly dead centre, and gets some good movement to it, but Gallese has time to see it safely into his gloves.
64'
R. Ortiz enters the game and replaces N. Ortigoza.
The pace has completely come out of this match with the plethora of substitutions. The latest, Ortiz on for the injured Ortigoza, makes it four in seven minutes of play. Every stoppage is seemingly followed up by a change, preventing the match from adopting any sort of tempo.
62'
STAT ATTACK: Peru’s defeat against Chile in the semi-finals ended their longest unbeaten run at the tournament since 2004, when they were hosts (three games)
60'
The substitutions continue here for Paraguay, but the motivation behind them is up for debate. Eduardo Arando comes on for his first appearance of the tournament with Victor Caceres giving way. We'll see what sort of impact, if any, this has on the trailing side.
59'
E. Aranda enters the game and replaces V. Cáceres.
58'
Y. Yotún enters the game and replaces C. Lobatón.
Changes for both teams as we approach the hour mark. Benitez is finally on for Paraguay to hopefully provide a spark, replacing Romero. Meanwhile it's Yotun on in place of Lobaton who seems to be suffering from a bit of a muscle problem.
57'
E. Benítez enters the game and replaces O. Martínez.
56'
Peru have completely taken charge of this match, much like Argentina did to Paraguay in the second half of their semi-final. Carrillo ventures forward and scours the defence, before teeing up Guerrero atop the area, but his strike is deflected over the bar.
54'
ALMOST THE SECOND! Lovely counter-attacking football from Peru. Reyna plays a good ball out wide for Vargas who bursts into the area. The left-back's first attempted cross is blocked, but the follow up is chipped towards the far post, eluding Guerrero by the narrowest of margins.
52'
STAT ATTACK: Peru have recorded just one victory against Paraguay in their last 13 meetings in the Copa America (D6, L6), while failing to keep a single clean sheet.
50'
There's still plenty of time left in this match of course, but that goal could well be what settles third place. Paraguay have seemed uninterested and disjointed, clearly not the final they wanted to be playing in and it's showing.
48'
A. Carrillo has scored a goal for Peru!
CARRILLO PROVIDES THE BREAKTHROUGH! It's nothing more than Peru deserve. Cueva's corner is headed back into the danger area by Vargas, and Bobadilla's poor clearance attempt is sent straight to Carrillo. The Sporting Lisbon attacker still had work to do, however, as he drives an impressive strike into the bottom corner while falling backwards.
46'
Off we go again... remember, it can only get better from here.
45' +1
Nothing more to come of this first half as the Bolivian referee sounds his whistle. A few talking points have come out of it, but nothing to separate the sides after 45 minutes.
44'
Well that's a blunder from the linesman... Reyna is played behind the defence via a tidy ball over the top from Cueva. The flag goes up to indicate an offside, and there's not much of a protest from Peru - though the replay shows he was clearly onside.
42'
Paraguay are one of the older teams in the tournament, and it just seems as though they're experiencing a bit of fatigue with limited time to rest between games. They've struggled to generate any sort of momentum and it could only get worse for them in the second half against the pace of Peru.
40'
STAT ATTACK: Paraguay have not secured a third place finish at the Copa America since 1959. Since then they have won the tournament once and twice settled for runners-up.
38'
M. Samudio gets yellow.
No doubt about this one. Vargas wins the ball in defence and delivers a quick ball over the top as he tries to kick-start the counter. Reyna cleverly dummies it for himself to chase, and Samudio takes him down to prevent a clean break.
37'
Tremendous work from Guerrero. The striker takes a pass from 25-yards out, though with little support. He turns and recovers from an awkward first touch, showing excellent strength to hold the ball up and eventually pick out Reyna. The forward has a good look at goal but his final attempt was always rising, never threatening Villar.
35'
Advincula and Vargas have done an excellent job providing width to Peru in attack as they push forward on the overlap. They've delivered some encouraging balls into the area but Guerrero often finds himself outnumbered in front of goal.
33'
Play has really opened up, but there's been a surprising lack of quality in the final third. Neither team can pick out that decisive final ball, and when it does come, there's no one there to attack it. It's been all sizzle, no steak thus far in attack.
31'
Where's Barrios? The striker is playing alone up top, with Martinez dropping deeper behind. Romero finds himself in a pocket of space on the left and sends an inviting ball in, but the striker had drifted out wide to the right flank and Peru have all the time in the world to clear the threat.
29'
This is all a bit underwhelming from Paraguay. Peru's full-backs have had an easy go of it, with their counterparts hesitant to get forward on the overlap. Samudio finally makes a run down the flank, but he doesn't time it properly and the flag goes up for offside.
27'
HAS TO BE BETTER! Carrillo puts in some good work on the right as he chips a cross into the centre for Reyna, but the diminutive attacker is beaten to the ball. He's able to keep play alive, however, and his cross deflects kindly into the path of Lobaton, but the midfielder fires high over the bar from eight-yards out.
25'
Paraguay have struggled to penetrate the back-line of Peru. They're lacking any sort of width to their game, really missing the influence of Derlis Gonzalez and Edgar Benitez. They desperately need some more creativity from the midfield third, who have been unable to get the ball forward for Barrios.
23'
Gallese forced into action! It's the first shot on goal for Paraguay and it's a good one from Oscar Romero. The 22-year-old takes advantage of a poor clearance as the ball falls straight to him and he drives a strike at goal. Gallese is tested, but he's up to the task.
21'
STAT ATTACK: Peru have never managed back-to-back third place finishes at the Copa America – a run which could end with a win tonight.
19'
Advincula is found attempting to overlap down the right-hand side, but Romero tracks back well to slide in and concede a throw in. Diaz is looking like a concerned man on the sideline, with a long ball through to Bobadilla skidding off the surface and straight through to Gallese.
17'
Peru maintain their early pressure, with Paraguay struggling to break out of their half for more than a minute at a time. Barrios just hasn't been given the ball to feet enough, with Gareca's back four having it easy so far. Another long ball forward is knocked into touch by Vargas.
15'
Peru are moving the ball at a good pace on the break, with their movement and speedy personnel causing some problems. Aguilar is penalised for a scrappy tackle, with Guerrero left in a heap. Paraguay are struggling to keep tabs on a fluid Los Incas attack. The Flamengo striker gingerly gets back to his feet and continues.
13'
Vargas tries his luck from a free kick along the right flank, and his effort isn't all that bad. Despite the acute angle, the left-back makes for a few worrying moments for Villar who is relieved to see the ball crash onto the roof of the net.
11'
Play is starting to open up a bit after a rather tedious opening 10 minutes. Paraguay push forward and win themselves a corner, though it's dealt with well by Peru who then can break on the counter. Reyna makes a run forward but doesn't get the ball and then the attempted switch for Carrillo is cut out well by Vargas.
9'
STAT ATTACK: This is the first time in the history of the tournament that Peru and Paraguay are meeting outside of the group phase.
7'
Reyna has looked good in the opening stages, making the most of his inclusion in the starting lineup. The attacker drifts in from the left and unleashes a powerful strike to follow up a teasing run, but Justo Villar manages to parry it behind for a corner.
5'
Neither side has been able to carve out much of a chance in these early stages, but Peru certainly appear more up for the occasion. Los Incas have asked more questions in possession, though Paraguay have responded with some sound defensive play.
3'
It is Peru who start on the front foot, with Yordy Reyna picking out an inviting ball into the centre. It just eludes Paolo Guerrero, but the striker puts in some impressive work to keep play alive and win a corner.

And we're off!
This may not be the ending the two sides were hoping for, but there’s still plenty on the line today as the Copa America’s two semi-final losers get set to battle it out for bronze. It’s Peru and Paraguay straight from the Estadio Municipal! I am Alex Moretto and I will be your scribe for the evening, guiding you through all the action from Conception.
Peru made life very difficult on Chile in their semi-final and came ever so close to sending the match to penalties, if not for an Eduardo Vargas wonder-strike. Los Incas can finish in the top three with a victory today for a second consecutive tournament, winning this same match four years ago against Venezuela to claim the bronze medal. This could also mark a mass exodus for Peru, with many of their aging stars likely participating in their final major tournament dawning the red and white.
Paraguay will be motivated for very different reasons entering this match, eager to avenge a humbling 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Argentina in the semi-final. Tuesday’s match was a roller-coaster ride for Los Guaranies, cutting an early 2-0 deficit in half before the break, then completely unravelling just when it looked like they were set to make a game of it. Much like their opponents today, Paraguay are also looking for a happy send off for their three most capped players of all-time – Paolo da Silva, Justo Villar and Roque Santa Cruz – all of whom are likely making their final appearance in the competition.
With that being said, here are the teams set to faceoff this evening in Conception:
PARAGUAY SUBS: Piris, B. Valdez, Santa Cruz, Gonzalez, Benitez, Silva, Ortiz, Molinas, Balbuena, Aranda, A. Aguilar.
After a fine showing against Chile, Ricardo Gareca has opted to make only the necessary changes to his side. He has to make do without the services of Carlos Zambrano and Jefferson Farfan, as a result of suspension and injury respectively. The duo are replaced by Christian Ramos and Yordy Reyna.
The players have taken their place on the pitch and it looks as though we may get underway a couple minutes early here!
PARAGUAY (4-4-2): Villar; M. Caceres, Da Silva, P. Aguilar, Samudio; Bobadilla, Ortigoza, V. Caceres, Romero; Valdez, Barrios.
HALF TIME: PERU 0-0 PARAGUAY. Los Incas have enjoyed the better of play, utilizing their pace to run riot on the flanks and inject some width into attack. The same can't be said for their opponents who managed just one shot on goal and even that was a stretch. The outcome could very well depend on the substitutions made by these managers over the course of the second half.
The dismantling against Argentina came at an even greater cost for Paraguay, who lost Derlis Gonzalez and Roque Santa Cruz to injury. They are just two of the six changes made by Ramon Diaz, with Bruno and Nelson Valdez, Edgar Benitez, Ivan Piris and Richard Ortiz also replaced. A slew of new faces - Marco Caceres, Miguel Samudio, Raul Bobadilla, Nestor Ortigoza, Oscar Romero, Osvaldo Martinez and Lucas Barrios - are in the starting lineup to try and right the ship.
FULL TIME: PERU 2-0 PARAGUAY. Second-half goals from Andre Carrillo and Paolo Guerrero secure a second consecutive third-place finish for Los Incas. The Guaranies were largely unimpressive, made to pay for their laxidasical approach to the match as they end the tournament with back-to-back defeats by an aggregate score of 8-1.
I am Alex Moretto and I would like to thank you all for joining me here today. Good bye!
