Kampl makes a dazzling run down the right flank and breaks into the area. He passes up a shooting chance, instead trying to tee up Kagawa, but his pass is behind the attacker as the chance goes begging.
90' +3
Still no indication of how much time is to be added on here, though Dortmund are holding possession well near the corner flag.
90' +1
M. Hummels gets yellow.
Hummels gives the ball away carelessly to Trdina, who looks to take advantage. The Dortmund skipper senses the danger and pulls him to ground. That will earn him a yellow card.
90'
P. Tschernegg enters the game and replaces J. Standfest.
89'
Finally a security guard arrives, and he allows him to stay on the sideline! Wolfsbeger players rush across and yell at him to leave, before security finally does there job. Now play can resume.
88'
The crowd has come to life here, but not for the reasons one would expect. A fan in a Mkhitaryan jersey has invaded the pitch, and in a shocking turn of events, walks off the pitch with his arm around Kampl. Security is nowhere to be found.
86'
Dortmund were in complete control of this game for the first hour, but showed a real lack of urgency and desire when they had the chance to put it out of reach - and they're being made to pay now. This should be one heck of a finish!
84'
UNBELIEVABLE HOW THAT STAYED OUT! Was that the chance?! Another Seidl corner is met by a teammate, this time Huttenbrenner. The centre-half heads for goal, but Burki reacts well to make the save before then somehow denying Silvio on the rebound!
82'
Wolfsberger mounted a great push for an equalizer, and came incredibly close, but it looks as though there are some tired legs out on the pitch now. Perhaps they have it in them to make one last claim for a goal.
Minute
Description
81'
Jacobo enters the game and replaces C. Wernitznig.
80'
K. Kampl enters the game and replaces M. Reus.
Dortmund make their final change as Kevin Kampl replaces Reus. It's a like-for-like swap, just to put some fresh legs on the pitch as they attempt to see this through.
78'
Well this game has certainly sprung to life in the last 10 minutes! Wolfsberger are starting to take a few chances going forward which has made for some excellent viewing from a neutral standpoint.
76'
Another offside! What a ball from Reus, though! He chips a pass through to send Kagawa behind the defence. His shot is stopped, but Mkhitaryan arrives to knock home the rebound, only it won't count as the flag goes up for offside. Kagawa just mistimed his original run.
74'
OFFSIDE! Aubameyang has dropped very to get into possession. He takes a pass and plays a tidy ball forward for Reus, who gets on the end of it. He's about to play it across for Castro to tap in when the flag goes up for offside.
72'
OFF THE LINE! Seidl delivers an inviting corner and Trdina, on just moments ago, rises to meet it. He's about to celebrate when Mkhitaryan rises to head clear off the line! Incredible!
70'
T. Trdina enters the game and replaces R. Putsche.
HOW ARE DORTMUND STILL AHEAD?! Wernitzig does brilliantly on the left to elude Piszczek and break into space. His ball across the face of goal eludes Seidl, but comes to Zundel at the far post. The winger squares it up for Stendfest who sees his shot cleared off the line by Piszczek!
68'
Careless! Wolfsberger mount a promising counter as Seidl sprints forward after taking a pass from Silvio. He works a one-two with Wernitzig, but the flag goes up as the winger had needlessly drifted into an offside position.
66'
G. Castro enters the game and replaces J. Weigl.
S. Kagawa enters the game and replaces J. Hofmann.
Sensing his side need a spark, Tuchel introduces two new faces from the bench. Gonzalo Castro makes his competitive debut for the club, replacing Hofmann, while Shinji Kagawa comes on for Weigl.
65'
GOOD HANDS! Instead of opting for a cross, Seidl goes for goal himself. He sends a powerful shot around the wall, but it's straight at Burki who does well to hold on.
64'
Wolfsberger are starting to sense this game is there for the taking, and they're doing something about it. Wernitzig makes a good run on the left, eluding Piszczek before winning a free kick on the edge of the area.
62'
SHOCKING MISS! Dortmund are caught napping at the back! Wernitzig does well to pick out Seidl in the centre, with only one defender back for the visitors. He rolls a pass across to play Zundel through, but the winger lashes a shot over the bar from eight-yards out!
60'
The pace has slowed drastically and tempers are starting to rise. Reus is none-too-pleased as Berger kicks out at him long after the ball leaves his feet. There's no love lost between these two teams, who will meet again in one week's time at the Signal Iduna Park.
58'
Injuries are starting to takeover as the physicality level increases. Hummels and Zundel collide fighting for the ball and the Dortmund centre-half appears to have taken the brunt of that. He lays on the ground, looking a bit dazed as the training staff comes out to check on him.
56'
Gundogan is toppled over in midfield by Seidl, conceding a free kick. He plays on, unknowingly, and tries to win the ball in the air. Sokratis sprints across in defence of his teammate and clatters him to ground after a hard collision. Since play had already been blown dead, however, he escapes without a talking to from the referee.
54'
It's picking up now! Reus is played through into the area and draws the keeper off his line before trying to square up for Aubameyang. Huttenbrenner reads it well, however, intercepting and clearing the danger.
52'
Well there's a chance! Some patient passing sees the ball worked to Hofmann on the right. From inside the area he unleashes a low drive, but Kofler gets down to make a very smart save and hold on to prevent a rebound.
50'
It's quite a subdued atmosphere inside the stadium, which hasn't been helped much by the rather slow tempo of this match. Neither side is moving with much purpose.
48'
T. Zündel gets yellow.
The yellow card makes a quick appearance in this second half. Berger and Mkhitaryan do battle for possession along the flank. The Armenian appears to win the ball and looks to cut into the centre, but he's taken out by a cynical challenge from Zundel.
46'
Here we go again! Back underway in Austria...
44'
Dortmund seem to be lacking the killer instinct needed in attack. Wolfsberger have shown little life themselves, but if the visitors continue to allow them to hang around without putting this game to bed, it could wind up coming back to haunt them.
43'
J. Weigl gets yellow.
Good work from Wernitzig as he turns his marker and looks to sprint forward. Weigl, realizing he may be beat, drags him to ground and picks up the first booking of the match.
42'
Aubameyang appears to be played through behind the defence, with Reus alongside him, but a heavy touch allows Huttenbrenner to recover and knock the ball out of play. Wolfsberger have to be careful here as Dortmund amp up the pressure before the break.
40'
STAT ATTACK: Dortmund last participated in the Europa League qualifying rounds in 2010. They defeated Azerbaijani outfit Qarabag 5-0 on aggregate (1-0 away from home).
38'
Berger does well to hold up the ball and win a free kick following a tackle from Gundogan. Seidl whips in a teasing ball from the left, but Burki again is convincing as he dives off his line to punch well clear of danger.
36'
VITAL BLOCK! Reus and Schmelzer link-up well on the left, and the former breaks into the area before squaring up a pass for Hofmann. The winger looks for a second goal, but his strike is blocked fearlessly by Stendfest!
34'
For all the possession Dortmund have had, their chances in front of goal have been limited. Credit has to be given to the Wolfsberger back line for keeping their shape and making it difficult on the visitors to poke through.
32'
Weigl had had a tremendous influence on this match from midfield. The aging - and now retired - Sebastian Kehl was often out of his depth a season ago and Klopp struggled to find someone to consistently partner with Gundogan. They may have found someone in the former 1860 Munich teenager.
30'
This is shaping up more like a training match for Dortmund than a competitive qualifier. Wolfsberger's attacking players have been non-existent. Silvio makes his presence felt for the first time since the opening minutes as he clatters into Hummels to concede a free kick.
28'
SHOULD BE TWO! Mkhitaryan does well to turn around Sollbauer and break into the area. His pass (or shot?) across for Aubamyang is too far ahead of the striker, and inches wide of the post. Hofmann was waiting atop the area for a cutback, and likely would have scored had the ball come to him.
26'
The hosts finally get possession in attack as a sloppy pass from Sokratis is sent out of play. It lasts for a whole three seconds, however, as Weigl fights to win it back and kick-start Dortmund forward on a counter.
24'
The visitors continue to apply the pressure, looking to double their lead. A good passing move wins them a corner, but the ensuing delivery is headed over the bar by Hummels.
22'
Wolfsberger are clearly a bit out of their depth, but it's vital for them to remain sharp and stick to the system. The first signs of worry or frustration will be punished by Dortmund. If they even sense blood in the water, this could get ugly.
20'
STAT ATTACK: Wolfsberger won the Austrian Football First Division in 2011-12, earning promotion to the Austrian Bundesliga for the first time in club history.
18'
It was served up to him on a platter, but nonetheless Hofmann has looked very sharp in these opening minutes. He's obviously familiar with the system in place as he was coached by Tuchel last season. Could he keep high-profile signing Gonzalo Castro on the bench?
16'
DORTMUND TAKE THE LEAD! Aubameyang picks out a tidy pass to send Mkhitaryan through on the left, who then unselfishly rolls a pass across for Hofmann who rolls it into the empty net!
14'
J. Hofmann has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund!
13'
NEARLY THE OPENER! Aubameyang again manages to elude his marker and get on the end of a cross, but his effort is turned aside smartly by Kofler. Pressure remains on and the ball comes to Weigl who goes for goal from distance, missing by a small margin at the near post.
11'
Penalty appeals denied! Scintillating stuff from Dortmund on the counter as Mkhitaryan is played through the centre in space. He runs half the length of the pitch but can't thread a pass through for Hofmann before being clattered into from behind by Standfest. Nothing there says the referee.
9'
Wolfsberger are in the midst of an encouraging spell. They win a free kick in the attacking half and a good delivery forces the ball to be cleared behind for a corner. Burki is up to the task, however, not hesitating as he rushes off his line to punch clear amidst the mess of bodies.
7'
And right on cue, Weigl is caught in possession. Perhaps it's a case of nerves for the teenager, but he gifts the ball to Silvio who bursts forward with pace. The striker has no support, however, and eventually the task proves too daunting as Piszczek arrives back to sniff out the chance.
5'
Possession is being dominated by Dortmund in a big way early on here. They're insistent on keeping the ball, forcing Wolfsberger to chase. Piszczek and Schmelzer are getting so high up the pitch they are practically playing the wing. Should they get caught in possession, there will be space for the hosts to exploit.
3'
First chance to the visitors! Piszczek does well to get forward on the overlap and is picked out nicely by Hofmann. He whips a cross in from the right, but Aubameyang's header is off target.
1'
And they're off! Dortmund in yellow, Wolfsberger in white.
Hello footy fans from around the world and welcome to Austria! The Worthersee Stadion is our venue tonight as Borussia Dortmund kick-off their Europa League campaign against competition debutantes Wolfsberger. I am Alex Moretto and I will be your in-game host, guiding you through the match LIVE as it happens!
Thomas Tuchel gets this new era of Dortmund football started, following the departure of Jurgen Klopp this summer. The 41-year-old arrives after a successful stint and Mainz and surely will understand the importance of European competition for a club of this size. He can afford no slip ups in his competitive debut this evening and none are expected, following a convincing 2-0 friendly victory over Juventus on Saturday.
Wolfsberger are participating in European competition for the first time in club history and got off to a cracking start in the second round as they made quick work of their Belarusian opponents. Tonight's match presents a much more daunting task, and it will be played outside of their usual home - the Lavanttal-Arena - as a result of capacity issues.
Roman Burki and Julian Weigl are set to make their competitive debuts for the club, following their arrivals from Freiburg and 1860 Munich respectively. The back line remains unchanged from a season ago, though their is a new face in attack. Jonas Hofmann, who spent the last season on loan at Mainz under Tuchel, is back at his parent club, following in the footsteps of his coach. He anchors the right flank, opposite Marco Reus who just recently confirmed he would be staying with the club this season.
Striker Phillip Hellquist, who was on target in the second round of qualifying, sustained an injury on the weekend and is thus forced out of the team for this evening. With no true striker in the side, it could turn out to be a committee approach from the hosts, with Thomas Zundel, Silvio and Christopher Wernitzig all picking up the slack.
Kick-off is set for five-past-the-hour, which is just a few short minutes away now! The players are out and we're about set to get this two-legged tie underway.
HALF TIME: WOLFSBERGER 0-1 DORTMUND. The visitors have the lead at the break thanks to Jonas Hofmann's 16th minute goal. Tuchel's side have dominated possession and appear to be in for a relatively straightforward victory barring a drastic turnaround from the hosts in the second half.
FULL TIME: WOLFSBERGER 0-1 DORTMUND. Jonas Hoffman's first-half goal proves to be the difference as the Black-and-Yellow's hold on for a first-leg victory. A late push from the hosts nearly saw them level the score a few times, but Burki and Mkhitaryan had other plans.
I am Alex Moretto and I would like to thank you all for joining me here today. Good bye!
