The hosts push forward on what will surely be their last attack of the game, but a lofted ball forward ends up bouncing into the hands of Schmeichel, who, unsurprisingly, holds on to it for as long as possible. Leicester are incredibly close to picking up another Premier League victory...

90' +2
Adrián goes off after a red card!
RED CARD! Adrian comes up for a late corner, which bounces around the penalty area before reaching the goalkeeper. He sticks out a boot to make contact with the ball and ends up striking Vardy in the stomach, resulting in the goalkeeper being given his marching orders. What a crazy end to the game!

84'
West Ham move the ball around quickly on the right-hand side of the penalty area, with Jenkinson doing well, but the hosts overplay ever so slightly and the ball ends up bouncing out of play for a goal kick.

Mahrez makes his way off the pitch to be replaced by Fuchs in Leicester's final change of the game.

West Ham have made their second substitution of the afternoon, with Lanzini coming on to take the place of Kouyate.

69'
Vardy is brought down by Reid just outside of the penalty area, resulting in a free kick for Leicester in a very dangerous position. This is a great opportunity for the visitors to re-establish their two-goal lead...

After spending the first half of the second period camped back inside their own half of the pitch, Leicester manage to push forward before earning themselves a corner on the left wing. N. Kanté enters the game and replaces S. Okazaki.
Leicester have decided to make their first substitution of the game, with Okazaki making way for Kante.

55'
D. Payet has scored a goal for West Ham United! Assist by C. Kouyaté.

Okazaki receives the first yellow card of the second half for a cynical shirt pull from behind.

A lofted pass flies over the top of the Leicester defence and onto the right foot of Sakho, who is then brought down inside the box by a flailing arm from Schmeichel. The hosts appeal to the referee for a spot kick, and a red card for the goalkeeper, but he refuses to award either.
45' +2
Zarate and Noble play a quick one-two before the latter tees up Kouyate on the left-hand side of the penalty area, but the Senegalese midfielder decides to shoot instead of crossing and, as a result, his audacious strike flies over the top of the crossbar and out for a goal kick.
45' +1
Cresswell, who has looked increasingly bright as the half has progressed, skips past De Laet before sending a low cross towards the near post, where it meets Zarate. The Argentine pulls off a deft flick but the effort ends up rolling a few yards wide of its intended target.
45'

GOAL! It's 2-0! Leicester patiently work their way forward, with Vardy and Okazaki linking up well on the left flank, before the Japense striker tees up Albrighton. West Ham are enjoying a brief spell of possession inside the Leicester half of the pitch but are finding it nigh on impossible to beat the sea of white shirts camped in front of them.
35'

33'
West Ham push forward on their first real attack in almost 10 minutes, with Cresswell battling with De Laet before earning his side a corner on the left flank. 27'
S. Okazaki has scored a goal for Leicester City!
GOAL! Leicester have taken the lead! Vardy sends an excellent cross right into the path of Okazaki, who immediately fires a volley that Adrian pushes up into the air. The Japanese striker refuses to give up, however, and jumps high to nod the ball into the back of the net from close range to make it 1-0 to the visitors with his first ever Premier League goal.
26'
Great play by Mahrez! The Algerian takes advantage of poor defending from Cresswell and beats the left-back before skipping past Ogbonna, but his close-range toe-poke is pushed round the post by Adrian.
24'
A West Ham attack breaks down, allowing Leicester to break away on a quick counter attack. Mahrez sprints down the right flank before sending the ball to Drinkwater, who then passes it on to Vardy, but the striker fizzes a poor cross out for a throw-in.
22'
West Ham move the ball around the edge of the penalty area, with Payet doing well to get away from a clump of white shirts. Jenkinson finally gets a cross away from the right-hand side of the box but it's far too powerful and ends up flying well over the top of the crossbar and out for a goal kick.
20'
Kouyate is dispossessed by Vardy midway inside the Leicester half of the pitch, and the striker immediately embarks on a great run forward. He flies past Jenkinson as he heads down the left flank but ends up running the ball slightly out of play before he can send a pass over to Okazaki.
18'

Excellent opportunity for Sakho! A West Ham corner from the right flank pinballs around the edge of the penalty area before falling at the feet of the Senegalese striker, who immediately unleashes a thumping volley. It flies just over the top of the crossbar before the linesman's flag is eventually raised for offside.
14'
Schlupp pushes forward down the left wing before sending a through-ball towards Vardy. It's poorly hit and ends up missing the striker by some distance, but Reid spends too long before clearing the ball and is eventually forced to send it out for a throw-in near the corner flag after being put under pressure by the aforementioned Leicester forward.
12'
After spending a few moments on the floor receiving medical treatment, Adrian gets back to his feet and looks able to continue.
11'
J. Vardy gets yellow.
Adrian jogs out of his penalty area to deal with a bouncing ball and is immediately put under pressure by Vardy. The goalkeeper stops slightly, allowing the Leicester striker to rush forward before sticking a foot out, and he ends up catching the Spaniard in the leg. The referee immediately reaches for his pocket and shows the Englishman the first yellow card of the game.
10'
The resulting set-piece is dealt with comfortably by the Leicester defence, and Cresswell is then put under pressure and forced to play the ball all the way back to Adrian.
9'
Cresswell and Sakho link up well down the left flank before Zarate tries to take on De Laet near the byline. The Belgian holds firm and comes out on top, however, resulting in a corner for West Ham.

Leicester regain possession and push forward through Mahrez, who darts down the right wing before cutting inside and firing a low shot from 25 yards out. It's poorly hit, however, and trickles safely into the hands of Adrian.

3'
What a chance for Sakho! Payet curls a wonderful cross from the resulting set-piece that finds the Senegalese striker on the edge of the six-yard box, but he ends up sending his header, that looked to deflect off Morgan, over the top of the crossbar.

And we're off!
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Premier League clash between West Ham United and Leicester City. My name is Ben Cullimore and I will be keeping you up to date with all of the action from Upton Park.
This afternoon’s game brings together two sides that enjoyed brilliant starts to the new season, with both bagging themselves excellent opening-day victories. West Ham stunned everybody with a 2-0 win against Arsenal at the Emirates, whilst Leicester thrashed Sunderland 4-2 in an action-packed encounter at the King Power Stadium. The Hammers will be looking to continue their good form and pick up three more points this afternoon in a game that is not only their first home clash of the campaign but also one that marks Slaven Bilic’s return to Upton Park 18 years after leaving East London for Everton.
West Ham’s visitors are also under new management, with Claudio Ranieri kick-starting his tenure in charge of Leicester with a great win in front of a packed home crowd. The victory means that last season’s 14th-place finishers have now won seven of their last 10 Premier League games, an absolutely fantastic run that shows just how impressive they can be when they’re in form. The Foxes have struggled when playing in London, however, and are now without a win in their last 20 Premier League games in the capital. Only three of those have ended in draws, the last of which came back in May 2004.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
West Ham United XI (4-1-2-1-2): Adrian; Jenkinson, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Oxford; Noble, Kouyate; Payet; Zarate, Sakho.
West Ham United substitutes: Randolph, Tomkins, Nolan, Jarvis, Obiang, Lanzini, Maiga.
Leicester City XI (4-4-2): Schmeichel; De Laet, Huth, Morgan, Schlupp; Albrighton, King, Drinkwater, Mahrez; Vardy, Okazaki.
Leicester City substitutes: Maddison, Benalouane, Fuchs, Kante, Hammond, Kramaric, Ulloa.
Slaven Bilic has decided to make just one change to the West Ham side that started last weekend’s win against Arsenal, with James Tomkins making way for Carl Jenkinson, who returns to the starting line-up after being ineligible to play against his parent club on the opening day of the season. Diafra Sakho remains up front alongside Mauro Zarate despite recently being arrested on suspicion of assault.
Meanwhile, Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has named an unchanged side to the one that started at home to Sunderland, with Jamie Vardy retaining his place despite being fined by the club after he was filmed allegedly using racist language in a casino.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: WEST HAM UNITED 0-2 LEICESTER CITY
What a way to end an exciting first half! West Ham arguably should have been awarded a penalty after Schmeichel clumsily brought down Sakho, but the referee had other ideas and, as a result, the hosts still have a two-goal deficit to overturn during the second half. It's not going to be easy, as Leicester's impressive defence have looked incredibly compact thus far, whilst at the other end of the pitch Okazaki and Vardy have been a handful for the Hammers back four.
The two teams are making their way back out onto the pitch ahead of the start of the second half.
FULL-TIME: WEST HAM UNITED 1-2 LEICESTER CITY
What an end to an incredibly exciting game! West Ham pushed as hard as possible during the second half but could only beat Schmeichel once, with the Leicester defence putting in a fantastic shift to keep the determined Hammers at bay. In the end, the hosts just didn't have enough firepower, and as a result they are beaten for the first time this season.
This afternoon's victory means that Leicester have won their opening two Premier League games of the season for the first time since 1997. They fully deserve the victory, too, and will be full of confidence ahead of next weekend's tough clash at home to Tottenham Hotspur. As for West Ham, they now face Bournemouth in their next Premier League encounter.
My name is Ben Cullimore and it's been an absolute pleasure describing all of the action to you today. Until next time, goodbye!
