Otamendi is brought down by Kane on the left flank, resulting in a free kick for City and a yellow card for the striker. The visitors play it short but it's poorly executed and Tottenham are easily able to regain possession near the corner flag.
90' +2
Tottenham are running rings around the City midfield as they look to hold onto possession for the final few minutes of the game, resulting in cheers of joy emanating from the home fans. The hosts certainly deserve the win after putting in such a commanding performance.
90'
The fourth official has indicated that there will be four minutes of added time.
89'
City are enjoying the vast majority of possession at the moment but, as has been the case for the entire second half, they just can't seem to find a way past the sea of white shirts camped in front of them, all of whom have been excellent.
88'
D. Alli gets yellow.
A crunching challenge from Alli results in a yellow card for the youngster and a free kick for City in a dangerous position. De Bruyne unleashes a shot from the set-piece but it's easily stopped by Lloris.

T. Carroll enters the game and replaces É. Lamela.
Lamela receives thunderous applause from the Tottenham fans as he's replaced by Carroll for the last few moments of the game.
86'
P. Roberts enters the game and replaces S. Agüero.
Aguero gingerly makes his way off the pitch to be replaced by Roberts for the final few minutes.

Kane twists and turns on the right wing before sending a bouncing cross towards N'Jie, but it's slightly mishit and misses the youngster before Sagna dispossess the substitute near the byline on the opposite flank.
83'
Alli picks up the ball near the halfway line and immediately launches a lovely lofted pass over towards N'Jie, but Demichelis is there to deal with the danger before heading the ball into the hands of Caballero.
81'
City immediately try to push forward on an attack down the left wing but they look completely shell-shocked and bereft of ideas, and, as a result, it ends up coming to a disappointing end.
Minute
Description
79'
É. Lamela has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by C. N'Jie.
GOAL! It's 4-1! N'Jie beats Kolarov with ease on the right flank before sending an excellent low cross straight into the feet of Lamela. With Demichelis and Caballero to beat, he skips past both before firing the ball into the back of the net from close range to wrap up a thumping and comprehensive victory for Tottenham.
78'
A Tottenham attack breaks down, allowing City to break away quickly, but Aguero, who has looked off the pace all afternoon, is quickly dispossessed before he can do anything with the ball inside the hosts' half of the pitch.
77'
C. N'Jie enters the game and replaces Son Heung-Min.
N'Jie comes on to replace Son for the final 13 minutes of the game.
76'
City work the ball around patiently midway inside the Tottenham half of the pitch before Nasri decides to unleash an audacious strike from 30 yards out, but it's completely overhit and, as a result, flies well over the top of the crossbar.
74'
Son scores, but it's offside! Tottenham win themselves a corner on the right wing, which is swung right onto the head of Chadli. The Belgian meets the ball well and sends it flying towards the back post, where it's poked into the back of the net by the South Korean, but the linesman's flag is immediately raised.
72'
Kane breaks down the left flank on a great run before cutting into the penalty area and fizzing a dangerous pass across the face of goal. It almost meets Lamela but it's sent just a yard or so in front of the Argentine, who misses a great opportunity to fire in his side's fourth goal.
70'
And now Sterling goes close! The resulting corner flies around the penalty area before falling into the path of the youngster on the edge of the box, but his low shot is poorly hit and ends up rolling a yard or two wide of the near post.
69'
S. Nasri enters the game and replaces Fernandinho.
Great chance for Navas! Sagna and the Spaniard link up well on the right wing before the latter cuts past two Tottenham players and unleashes a thumping strike that Lloris does well to push over the top of the crossbar with a strong save.
City have made their second substitution, and it's an attacking one, with Fernandinho making way for Nasri.
68'
N. Chadli enters the game and replaces C. Eriksen.
Eriksen makes his way off the pitch to be replaced by Chadli in Tottenham's first change of the afternoon.
66'
The free kick is poor and fails to result in anything, forcing City into starting all over again from start after strong defending by the Tottenham back four.
65'
C. Eriksen gets yellow.
Eriksen brings down De Bruyne midway inside the Tottenham half of the pitch and immediately kicks the ball away to deny City the chance to take the free kick quickly, resulting in him receiving a yellow card.
64'
Lamela breaks into the left-hand side of the penalty area before sending a cross-cum-shot towards the back post, but it deflects off Demichelis and into the hands of Caballero.
63'
City look bereft of ideas every time they push forward and are struggling to find any joy inside the Tottenham half of the pitch. They just don't look anywhere near as good as they did in the first half when they were arguably the better of the two sides.
61'
H. Kane has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur!
GOAL! It's 3-1 and it's Kane with his first Premier League goal of the season! Eriksen unleashes a brilliant strike from the resulting set-piece that beats Caballero before hitting the crossbar, but the England striker is there to fire his side even further into the lead with a lovely half-volley that brings his domestic scoring drought to an end.
60'
Lamela bursts forward on a determined run before being clattered to the ground by Demichelis, who is lucky not to pick up a second yellow card for the clumsy foul.
59'
E. Dier gets yellow.
The visitors keep pushing forward and send the ball over to Sterling, who cuts inside from the left flank before unleashing a low shot that is sent straight into the hands of Llors in the middle of the Tottenham goal.
And now Dier enters the referee's book after catching Fernandinho with a late challenge.
58'
City work the ball around quickly before Fernando looks to shoot from the edge of the penalty area, but Eriksen does well to dispossess the Brazilian with a vital and well-timed tackle from behind.
56'
Jesús Navas enters the game and replaces Y. Touré.
É. Lamela gets yellow.
City have been forced into making a substitution, with Toure, who seems to have picked up a worrying hamstring injury, making his way off to be replaced by Navas.
Lamela cynically flies into Kolarov and brings the Serbian crashing to the ground, resulting in a yellow card for the Argentine.
54'
Tottenham are on the front foot and look full of confidence after grabbing a second goal so early into the second half. City's defence are continuing to struggle every time that the hosts push forward.
52'
City try to break away quickly down the right wing through Sagna, who then tees up Toure, but the Ivorian's attempted lay off to De Bruyne is completely misplaced and can only find the feet of Alli.
50'
T. Alderweireld has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by É. Lamela.
GOAL! Tottenham have taken the lead! Otamendi fouls Kane on the right wing, resulting in a free kick for the hosts in a dangerous position. Lamela sends a beautiful ball into the middle of the pitch from the set-piece that finds Alderweireld, who beats Caballero with an excellent header to pick up his first goal for the club.
49'
And now Aguero goes close! Toure charges forward before breaking into the right-hand side of the penalty area, where he fires a low shot towards the bottom left-hand corner of the goal, but it takes a slight deflection off Vertonghen that sends it out for a corner.
47'
Sterling picks up the ball on the left-hand side of the Tottenham penalty area and beats Walker before teeing up Toure, but the Ivorian's shot from the edge of the box is underhit and, as a result, easily stopped by Lloris.
46'
And we're underway once again!
45' +2
M. Demichelis gets yellow.
Walker looked to be offside in the build-up to Tottenham's goal, leading to Demichelis angrily arguing with the referee after the half-time whistle had been blown. As a result, the Argentine is shown a yellow card for his strong words.
45'
E. Dier has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur!
GOAL! Tottenham have equalised! Walker sends in a brilliant cross from the right wing that meets Son on the edge of the six-yard box, but Caballero saves the South Korean's shot with a great save. De Bruyne then sends a poor clearance straight into the feet of Dier, who immediately unleashes a brilliant strike from 30 yards out that flies through the sea of players before hitting the post and nestling into the back of the net.
44'
An attempted through-ball from Eriksen is cut out by Demichelis, allowing City to break away on a quick counter attack. Sterling twists and turns down the left wing before teeing up Kolarov, who immediately unleashes a rocket of a shot that Lloris pushes away with a strong save.
43'
City work the ball around well on the edge of the Tottenham penalty area before the ball reaches Aguero, but the striker spends slightly too long in possession before firing a low shot that is deflected off Alderweireld and out for a corner. The set-piece is flung by Kolarov towards the edge of the six-yard box, where it finds Otamendi, but the Argentine's header ends up flying wide of the near post.
41'
Great save by Caballero! Lamela spins past Otamendi with ease before unleashing a low shot that is deflected into the path of Kane. The striker immediately fires a thumping strike from the edge of the penalty area that looks set to find the back of the net, but the City goalkeeper, who has been largely untroubled today, does well to parry it away from danger.
39'
A poor attempted clearance by Otamendi bounces into the chest of Dier, who immediately tries to find Kane with a quick cross from the right wing. It's slightly underhit, however, and is cut out by Demichelis on the edge of the penalty area, much to the relief of his fellow centre-back.
37'
Eriksen and Kane try to play a quick one-two just outside the City penalty area but the striker's attempted pass is poor and fails to find the Danish midfielder, which has been the case for the vast majority of the game thus far.
35'
Great opportunity for Lamela! Tottenham work the ball around really well before Davies sends a brilliant low cross into the feet of the Argentine, who immediately unleashes a fierce strike that is completely mishit and, as a result, flies well wide of the goal and out of play.
34'
Fernandinho bursts down the right flank and into the penalty area before firing a cross-cum-shot towards the back post, but Lloris is just about able to push it away to the left wing before Lamela does well to dispossess Sterling with a strong tackle.
33'
What a chance for Kane! A horrible miskick by Otamendi allows the striker to pick up the ball midway inside the City half of the pitch before charging forward. He has Eriksen to his right-hand side but he decides to unleash a thumping shot from 25 yards out that bounces several yards wide of the near post.
31'
Toure and Alderweireld battle for the ball next to the byline before the Ivorian wins his side another corner on the right flank. De Bruyne sends the set-piece towards the edge of the six-yard box but Kane is there to clear the danger with a strong header.
29'
A half-hearted Tottenham attack breaks down, allowing City to break away on another quick counter-attack. Sterling breaks down the left wing before trying to tee up Kolarov, who had made a great overlapping run, but his pass is slightly overhit, allowing Walker to dispossess the Serbian with a strong sliding tackle.
27'
Excellent stop by Lloris! A dangerous cross from De Bruyne is deflected into the feet of Sterling, who skips past Alli with ease before firing a thumping low shot that the Tottenham goalkeeper does well to parry round the post and out for a corner.
25'
K. De Bruyne has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by Y. Touré.
GOAL! City break away on a brilliant counter-attack through Toure, who ploughs forward before teeing up De Bruyne with a lovely through-ball. The Belgian then unleashes a great shot from the right-hand side of the penalty area that beats Lloris before nestling into the back of the net. That all came from a poor pass from Walker that left Tottenham completely exposed at the back.
24'
Lamela skips past two City players on the right wing before teeing up Son, who takes on Otamendi but can only earn his side a corner. They take the set-piece short and work the ball over to Walker, but the defender's pass is poor and can only find a black shirt.
23'
A cross-field pass from Kane can only find Kolarov, who immediately tees up Sterling. The youngster then fires a great ball forward that finds Aguero on the edge of the Tottenham penalty area, but Alli does extremely well to out-muscle the Argentine before Lloris clears the danger.
21'
Again, De Bruyne and Sagna link up well on the right flank before the latter sends a dangerous low cross into the box, where it finds Aguero, but the striker's first-time strike is deflected into the hands of Lloris.
19'
Tottenham deal with the set-piece well before breaking away on a blisteringly quick counter attack down the right wing, but Son's run forward is stopped by a great interception by Fernandinho just inside the City half of the pitch.
18'
Great save by Lloris! A lofted pass forward finds Aguero on the edge of the penalty area, and the Argentine quickly skips past Alderweireld before unleashing a brilliant low shot. It's well hit and looks set for the bottom right-hand corner but the aforementioned French goalkeeper is there to tip it round the post and out for a corner.
17'
Tottenham patiently work their way forward through Alli in the middle of the pitch, but the youngster runs out of room and ideas before chipping a wayward pass out for a goal kick.
15'
De Bruyne and Sagna link up well on the right flank before the Belgian cuts a deflected pass back to Toure. The midfielder immediately unleashes a shot from 20 yards out but the contact made with the ball is poor and, as a result, the strike flies comfortably wide of the goal.
13'
High pressure from the City midfield forces Davies into running the ball out of play, resulting in a throw-in for the visitors on the right flank. They work it over to the middle of the pitch, where Fernando tries to break forward, but his run is easily stopped by a strong interception from Alli.
11'
Davies charges down the left wing before curling a volleyed cross towards the back post, where it finds Lamela. The Argentine brings the ball down well before firing a shot off Kolarov and out for a corner, which the aforementioned Serbian then heads away from danger before it can find Kane.
9'
De Bruyne picks up the ball in the middle of the pitch and quickly spots Lloris off his line, resulting in him unleashing an audacious shot from 35 yards out. It's hit with plenty of power but is sent slightly wide of the far post.
8'
A lengthy spell of City possession ends with Sterling once again, and the winger skips round Walker before sending a dangerous cross into the middle of the box. It's sent slightly too near to Lloris, however, and the goalkeeper comfortably collects the ball as a result.
7'
A terrible attempted goal kick from Lloris flies straight to Sterling, who immediately fires a thumping strike that flies a few yards over the top of the crossbar. The referee quickly blows his whistle, however, after judging that the City youngster used his arm to control the ball.
6'
Sterling twists and turns on the left flank before trying to tee up Kolarov on the edge of the penalty area, but the youngster's attempted pass is completely overhit and rolls harmlessly out of play for a goal kick.
4'
Tottenham move the ball around beautifully before Lamela breaks into the penalty area, but Kolarov does well to step up quickly to force the Argentine into an offside position, resulting in the linesman's flag being immediately raised.
3'
The City staff have just announced that Kompany is no longer on the substitutes' bench due to a flare-up of his recent injury, meaning that young Evans will take his place.
2'
City patiently work their way down the right flank before earning themselves their first corner of the game. It's swung into the heart of the penalty and almost finds Demichelis, but Alderweireld does well to head the ball away from danger with a strong clearance.
1'
And we're off! City get us underway, attacking from right to left.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. My name is Ben Cullimore and I will be keeping you up to date with all of the action from White Hart Lane.
After enjoying an excellent start to the season in which they looked utterly unstoppable, City were sent crashing back down to earth in their last Premier League outing, as a determined and impressive West Ham United side left the Etihad Stadium with a well-deserved 2-1 win. That defeat brought an end to an 11-game domestic winning run that stretched back to the middle of April, and with it the reigning champions' 100% record. However, they bounced back during the week with a 4-1 thumping of Sunderland in the Capital One Cup and they will be looking to do the same today as they take on a Tottenham side in erratic form.
In recent weeks, things looked to be slowly on the up for the hosts, who suffered a lacklustre start to the new season before picking up their first victory of the campaign with a narrow 1-0 win against struggling Sunderland two weeks ago. That was followed by three more points against Crystal Palace in a game that saw new signing Heung-Min Son impress with his first goal since joining the club from Bayer Leverkusen, but Wednesday’s defeat against bitter rivals Arsenal will have hurt them dearly. This afternoon is guaranteed to be a tough test, as City have a tendency to bounce back strongly after being defeated domestically. In fact, they have only suffered back-to-back Premier League defeats on one occasion in almost five years.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
Tottenham Hotspur XI (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Alli; Lamela, Eriksen, Son; Kane.
Tottenham Hotspur substitutes: Vorm, Trippier, Rose, Carroll, Townsend, Chadli, N’Jie.
Manchester City XI (4-2-3-1): Caballero; Sagna, Otamendi, Demichelis, Kolarov; Fernandinho, Fernando; De Bruyne, Toure, Sterling; Aguero.
Manchester City substitutes: Hart, Kompany, Zabaleta, Roberts, Barker, Nasri, Navas.
Mauricio Pochettino has decided to make seven changes to the Tottenham side that started the 2-1 defeat against Arsenal during the week, with Hugo Lloris, Kyle Walker, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela and Heung-Min Son all coming back into the starting 11.
Meanwhile, City boss Manuel Pellegrini has made just one alteration to the side that thumped Sunderland on Tuesday evening, with the most notable inclusion being goalkeeper Willy Caballero, who retains his place in the starting line-up after impressing during the week. In the only change, Jesus Navas drops to the substitutes’ bench to be replaced by Fernandinho, allowing Yaya Toure to operate in a more advanced role alongside Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 1-1 MANCHESTER CITY
Despite City arguably starting the stronger of the two sides, it's been an evenly-fought first half in which both teams have enjoyed good chances in front of goal. Cabellero and Lloris have both had to make their fair share of saves to keep the scoreline as low as it is, although the Tottenham shot-stopper has been the busier of the two. As time wore on, City's disjointed defence became even more frail, and the hosts will be confident about their chances of going on to win this after successfully pinpointing the visitors' weaknesses late on.
The two teams are making their way back out onto the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
FULL-TIME: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 4-1 MANCHESTER CITY
Thanks to an excellent second-half performance, Tottenham pick up their third consecutive Premier League victory against a City side that looked increasingly frail and disjointed as the game wore on. The visitors were really missing Kompany in the heart of defence, and the captain's absence caused problems for a side that are continuing to struggle after enjoying such a good start to the season. That now feels like a thing of the past, and today could be the day that they finally lose their place at the top of the table.
My name is Ben Cullimore and it's been an absolute pleasure describing all of the action to you this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye!
