FULL-TIME! Moreno weaves his way into the area, but Ziegler lunges in and wins possession. And that is it! The final whistle blows. What a point for Sion, what a disappointment for Liverpool!
90' +2
Some Liverpool fans are leaving early now. Can their team make them live to regret that decision? Sion are still pressing high, it really has been a solid display from the visitors tonight, with Rodgers’ side looking forlorn of ideas going forward.
90'
G. Mujangi Bia enters the game and replaces M. Konaté.
89'
More substitutions for Sion as they win a throw on the right-hand side. Time is really running out for Liverpool now, and the 13-time Swiss Cup champions appear to be in no mood to let this result slip.
86'
B. Ndoye enters the game and replaces E. Assifuah.
It appears as though that will be all for Assifuah, with the Ghanian hobbling over from the far touchline to be replaced. He has been superb tonight, and looks like a player we could be seeing plenty more of in years to come!
85'
Coutinho wins another foul – this time on the left. Again he puts in an inch-perfect ball, but no Liverpool player challenges for the header, and Vanins is able to claim it under very little pressure. Rodgers’ men getting desperate now…
82'
Sion are temporarily down to 10-men as Assifuah limps off to the sidelines. Carlitos delivers and Mignolet again looks unsure as he flaps at the cross, but Liverpool manage to clear their lines.
81'
Alberto Moreno gets yellow.
80'
Moreno picks up a booking after a sloppy tackle on Assifuah. The winger goes down in a heep, and the referee beckons the Sion physios onto the field.

Can is fouled down the right and Coutinho whips in a delicious cross, but Can cannot direct his header goal-wards.

76'
M. Sakho enters the game and replaces K. Touré.
X. Kouassi gets yellow.
Ziegler’s free-kick at the other end is cleared, and Rossiter breaks before switching play to Coutinho. The playmaker is brought down by Kouassi, who receives the first card of the game for his troubles.
74'
FANTASTIC SAVE! Carlitos attacks for Sion, ghosting in between two Liverpool players before firing a tame effort at Mignolet. The hosts flood forward, and suddenly Lallana is in after taking an incredible first touch on the edge of the six-yard box, but somehow Vanins saves again!
72'
Can tumbles under pressure from Fernandes. 25-yards-out, Coutinho prepares to take…
IT’S ON TARGET BUT… No. Vanins reacts sharply to dive to his right and grasp hold of the free-kick.
69'
GREAT SAVE FROM VANINS! Origi is fed by Coutinho, but the veteran stopper flys out of the block to make a superb save. Liverpool getting closer!
67'
Assifuah does brilliantly down the right, travelling 50 yards along the touchline before being fouled by Gomez. Sion work the free-kick well, and Assifuah picks up possession around the penalty spot. He turns Gomez and fires in at Mignolet, who has to be alert to parry it away.
65'
ORIGI MISSES AGAIN! Poor from the Belgian after he is found in acres of space by Allen. He races in behind the Sion defence, but decides to go for power rather than technique from close-range, and Vanins blocks it with his legs. Another chance goes begging for Liverpool!
62'
And that is Ings' last action of the match, as he trudges off to be replaced by Coutinho. Though he has not scored tonight, Ings has by no means underperformed, and with Christian Benteke touch-and-go for the derby, the 23-year-old could well be set to start alongside Daniel Sturridge on Sunday.
61'
Philippe Coutinho enters the game and replaces D. Ings.
Again, Liverpool are unable to make anything of the corner, and Sion are able to clear. Ings regains it for the hosts though, only to then attempt an ambitious bicycle-kick which sores over.
60'
The hour mark has been reached and the game is at a lull. Rodgers is preparing to change that though, with Philippe Coutinho receiving instructions on the bench. Meanwhile, Origi powers into the box once more, but his effort is deflected over.
57'
Sion have by no means been lucky so far, and have come with a clear game-plan full of attacking intent. Tholot will be thrilled so far, and must feel that his side are more than capable of making it two wins from two.
55'
More neat attacking play from Rodgers’ men, but once again the final ball falls short. This time it is Moreno who is the guilty party – the Spaniard taking a heavy touch in the area having connected with Allen’s throughball.
54'
Silly from Can, who dives in on Konate from behind. Carlitos fires in the free-kick from 30-yards-out, but Mignolet is well positioned to prevent the strike nestling into the top-left corner.
52'
STAT ATTACK: Liverpool have won four of their last seven home games in Europe. Only Real Madrid and two Swiss teams (Basel and Young Boys), have come away from Anfield with anything more than a defeat.
51'
Liverpool make nothing of the corner , but keep the pressure on and Origi soon wins another. Lallana puts it in, and the ball falls to Toure, who tries an audacious overhead kick which flicks off the top of the cross bar! An unbelievably confident effort from a player who has not scored for over four years!
49'
Sion win the second ball from a throwing, and do well to maintain possession in midfield. They play it into Konate, but the burly Senegalese cannot hold off Gomez, who propels Liverpool forward. Ings gets in behind and fires in at Vanins, who nonchalantly tips it wide.
46'
Alberto Moreno enters the game and replaces N. Clyne.
Change from Rodgers here! Moreno comes on in place of Clyne, who has not been at his usual standard, it has to be said. Ibe moves over to the right, and the second-half commences!
45'
ORIGI HAS TO SCORE! Great interplay from Ings and Lallana results in the former playing in Origi, but the forward hesitates with just Vanins to beat, and Modou Jagne slides in to intercept. Fantastic chance there for the hosts!
HALF-TIME! That's it here for the first half. Liverpool raced ahead through Lallana's second goal in as many Europa League games, but they have been deservedly pegged back by Sion. Rodgers men have lots of work to do here!
42'
Assifuah loses out to Gomez and Liverpool play it over to the right. Origi cuts inside and finds Allen, who drills in a defence-splitting pass to Ibe. The winger roudns one defender and lays it off to Lallana, but his shot is blocked and Vanins collects.
39'
Rossiter floats in a pass towards the head of Can from the resulting set-piece, but the versatile German cannot garner enough power to trouble Vanins.
38'
Gomez fires in a crisp pass to Allen. The Welshman turns sharply, and wins a free-kick 40-yards out.
36'
While Liverpool have looked fluid going forward, they have been vulnerable to say the least at the back. And matters may have been made worse here, with Lacroix going in hard on Ings – but the striker regains himself after a few seconds on the deck.
34'
Lacroix again goes close for Sion! The defender meets a lobbed pass from former Fulham man Zverotic, but he can only wide from six-yards out. Fortunately for him, his blushes are raised by a somewhat delayed offside trap.
32'
INGS IN AGAIN! And again he misses! Lallana has been fantastic so far, and delivers a sumptuous cross – this time from the left. Ings looks set to tap home, but he miss-times his finish and the ball flashes across the face of Vanins’ goal.
31'
Can makes a lung-bursting run along the right wing, and is well-found by Lallana. The Germany international beats his man, but his cross is over-hit and trickles out of play.
29'
Sion are pressing high, giving Allen and Rossiter no time on the ball, hounding them at every opportunity. As a result, Liverpool work it down the left, Lallana powering forward and doing well to win a corner. Ibe crosses in… but Vanins is out swiftly to claim the ball.
26'
Liverpool win a free-kick down the right. Lallana delivers to the back-post, and Origi scrambles to get the knock down. Gomez latches on at the edge of the area, but his attempt is well blocked and cleared for a throwing.
24'
Rodgers needs his side to re-stamp their authority on this tie, and soon. But it is Sion who are doing all the attacking now, with Assifuah winning his battle with left centre-back Gomez down Sion’s right flank.
22'
Sion win a corner at the other end. Carlitos duly whips it in, and the ball flicks up off Lacroix and into the thankful grasp of Mignolet. End-to-end stuff here!
21'
What a start here at Anfield! Liverpool looked in complete control, but the home crowd have been well and truly stunned by that equaliser but.... INGS IS IN HERE... No! The England man taps home from close range but the flag is up for offside!
17'
E. Assifuah has scored a goal for Sion! Assist by X. Kouassi.
GOOOOAAAALLLLLL! SION ARE LEVEL! Assifuah latches onto a dinked pass from midfield following slack play from Clyne. The Ghana winger chests it down, before prodding home under the hapless Mignolet - 1-1!
16'
CLOSE AGAIN! Liverpool looking deadly here. Allen ghosts through Sion’s midfield before tapping a weighted pass into the path of Ings, who is unable to get the ball out from under his feet and Vanins comes out quickly to smother it wide. Can rises highest from the resulting corner, but he heads wide.
15'
SAVE! Clyne threads a superb pass through to Origi, whose shot is deflected into the path of Ibe. The youngster jinks his way in from the by-line, but his low drive is well saved by Vanins.
13'
A superb cross-field pass from Can – already making his 50th Liverpool appearance – finds Ibe. The former Derby loanee attempts to beat his man, but loses out and has to shepherd the ball back infield.
11'
Sion’s chairman questioned whether any of his players were worthy of wearing the shirt following their loss to Vaduz last time out, and Liverpool are finding it extremely easy in the early stages here, swarming all over the ball as soon as Sion have possession.
8'
Sion attempt to counter after Origi is dispossessed, but the ball is stewarded into touch by Ibe – who has started in the left wing back position, with Rodgers seeming to have reverted to his preferred 3-5-2 formation.
6'
Looks like Lallana may have been offside in the build-up to that goal. But take nothing away from Origi. The young Belgian was superb there - displaying all the qualities that saw him take the 2014 World Cup by storm.
4'
A. Lallana has scored a goal for Liverpool! Assist by D. Origi.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALLL! Lallana gives Liverpool the perfect start! Origi does well down the right, powering into the area before squaring it to Lallana, who simply tucks it into the left corner.
3'
Patient play from Liverpool sees Ibe released down the left wing. The youngster tussles with a Sion defender in the corner, and wins a free-kick.
Lallana's whips a dangerous ball in, but it is punched away well by Sion's keeper. Gomez works it back out wide, but Lallana's cross is again gobbled up by Vanins.
2'
Danny Ings starts up top alongside Origi for Liverpool, and the former Burnley forward will be hoping to make his mark tonight following his first senior call-up for England.

KICK-OFF! The visitors get us underway!
Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Hello and welcome to our LIVE text commentary of the UEFA Europa League Group B clash between Liverpool and FC Sion. I’m Patric Ridge, and I’ll be bringing you all the action from Anfield tonight.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rogers has been under some substantial pressure from some sections of the Anfield support in recent weeks, but his side have steadied the ship somewhat with two wins on the bounce following a run of four games without a win.
While Liverpool could only draw in Bordeaux on matchday one, Sion – who currently sit fifth in the Swiss Super League table – dispatched Rubin Kazan 2-1 at the Stade de Tourbillon. However, Didier Tholot’s side come into tonight’s game on the back of two consecutive domestic defeats.
The teams are in at Anfield, so without further ado let’s see who will be gracing the famous turf tonight.
LIVERPOOL SUBS: Bogdan, Sako, Randall, Chirivella, Moreno, Coutinho, Brannagan
With the Merseyside derby with Everton looming, it is no surprise to see wholesale changes from Rodgers. Daniel Sturridge, James Milner and Martin Skrtel are amongst those rested, while Joe Allen and Divock Origi both make just their second starts of the season. Kolo Toure gets handed the captain’s armband tonight.
In contrast, Tholot has retained exactly the same starting XI from that win over Kazan two weeks ago, and will be hoping that front man Moussa Konate can replicate the form he showed that day – the Senegal striker having netted both goals for the Swiss outfit.
The last time Liverpool faced Swiss opposition, they could only manage a draw to FC Basel as they slumped out of last term’s UEFA Champions League in the group stage, but Rodgers will be confident that his side can claim the three points this time around.
And the teams are out on the pitch now. It's a teriffic atmosphere here at Anfield, as it always is on European nights.
While Liverpool have enjoyed the lion-share of possession, Sion are well-worth a point so far. They have hassled and harried Rodgers' men, though there is no doubt that Origi should have re-established Liverpool's lead just before the interval.
Despite the miss, the young Belgian has impressed so far. His play for Lallana's opener was superb, with the former Southampton man supplying a finish to match.
Sion goalscorer Assifuah has been by far the liveliest at the other end, though it could be argued that Mignolet should have done more in his attempts to prevent the leveller. The stopper was rather slow to react as Assifuah bore down on goal, and Liverpool were duly punished.
Rubin Kazan drew with Bordeaux elsewhere in Group A, meaning that Liverpool remain in joint-second place with their French counterparts. Sion, meanwhile, maintain their position at the top of the group. Rodgers’ side were well under-par this evening, and a positive result against in-form Everton in the Premier League on Sunday has now become even more vital.
Another set-back for Liverpool, then. They looked to be well in the ascendency courtesy of Adam Lallana’s well-taken goal early on, but Assifuah’s delicate finish has secured a well-earned share of the spoils for Sion.
Well, that's all from me for tonight, folks! I've been Patric Ridge, and it has been a pleasure to bring you all the action from Anfield, as Liverpool's uninspiring form continued with a disappointing 1-1 Europa League draw with FC Sion.
