Schmeichel is forced into making a save low down to his right-hand side, but is quickly back to his feet to distribute and keep the game moving. A cross from the flank is claimed by Patricio, with the Portuguese goalkeeper able to command his area fairly well this evening.
90' +1
José Fonte enters the game and replaces João Moutinho.
We're into the first of four stoppage time minutes.
90'
Patricio makes a good save, to ensure that the hosts stay ahead in the dying stages! The goalkeeper parries away for a corner, with Mourinho substituted during the break in play. Fonte comes into the game, with Santos happy to try a tie up these three points by using five defenders in stoppage time.
89'
Danilo Pereira gets yellow.
88'
Time is running out on the visitors. Play is stopped briefly, as Ronaldo goes down off the ball, with the Real Madrid forward needing to leave the field due to receiving some treatment. Fonte is readied to enter the fray on the touchline.
86'
Y. Poulsen will be hoping to inspire the visitors to a late comeback in Braga, with Portugal sitting back in numbers now. The substitute helps to spread play out to the right-hand side, but Jorgensen misplaces a terrible pass. The hosts counter, but a cross from Quaresma is patted down and claimed by Schmeichel.
84'
Patricio picks up a yellow card for time wasting, with it evident that Portugal are more than content to grind out yet another yellow result. Three points would keep them very much on top of the group, with Denmark needing to pull off some impressive form to overtake their adversaries.
82'
Ricardo Quaresma enters the game and replaces Nani.
Rui Patrício gets yellow.
Y. Poulsen enters the game and replaces C. Eriksen.
Wide from Bendtner! Eriksen hangs up a cross from the left byline, with the former Arsenal striker getting up well to try his luck! The tall target man can only rise and deflect a tame header beyond the far upright! Close for the visitors.
80'
Cedric hammers away a clearance, following yet another cross into the Portugal box. Durmisi tries to hang a delivery up towards the back post moments later, but Patricio is happy to claim under little pressure. Olsen's side are a little low on ideas, as direct football into Bendtner isn't coming off.
78'
Danny is found making a darting run into the box, but a set back from the Zenit midfielder evades everyone in a red shirt. Not long remains for Denmark to try and stage a fightback, with Kvist's long-range attempt their best of the second half.

Description

76'
Danny enters the game and replaces Bernardo Silva.
Ronaldo attempts to play a one-two with Tiago, but the return pass from the Atletico midfielder is terribly angled. Durmisi whips in a fantastic cross from the right-hand side, but Carvalho steers a risky header away! Moments later, Kvist lines up a shot from 25 yards out, but Patricio smothers with ease.
74'
Wide from Silva! The Monaco man cuts in from the right, beating a man, before curling a shot agonisingly wide of the left-hand post! Schmeichel was beaten, as were two defenders, but so was the target! Nearly a 2-0 lead for Portugal.
72'
Jorgensen manages to curl a cross in from the left-hand side, but it is cleared away easily at the near post. Moments later, Jacobsen breaks to the right byline, but a deflected delivery into the box is gobbled up with ease by Patricio. He slows the game down immediately.
70'
Denmark immediately go on the offensive, but the away side haven't been able to whip up any imaginative chances for a while. Despite having plenty of height to attack set pieces, Eriksen's deliveries have also been sub par. Ronaldo streaks away on the break, but is penalised for a push on Kjaer.
69'
N. Jørgensen enters the game and replaces D. Wass.
68'
D. Wass gets yellow.
Finally, the deadlock has been broken. Jorgensen is thrown into the game in place of Wass, with Denmark needing to find an equaliser from somewhere. Now, the visitors can't afford to sit back and hope for a point, which may open up some more spaces for Ronaldo, Silva and Nani.
66'
João Moutinho has scored a goal for Portugal!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! THE HOSTS TAKE THE LEAD! Schmeichel and company are finally beaten! Moutinho is picked out on the edge of the penalty area, before dancing around a challenge. The Monaco midfielder sets his sights, before curling a neat finish beyond the goalkeeper!
65'
Portugal win themselves a free kick on the left-hand side, which is curled dangerously into the box! Danilo meets it at the near post, but Bendtner rises well to ensure that the ball is deflected behind for a corner. Portugal are putting the pressure on.
64'
Coentrao breaks down the left, before earning a corner from Braithwaite. Nani delivers, but Schmeichel punches away at his near post! Moutinho meets the rebound, but sends a terrible volley spiralling desperately into the evening air!
62'
Slow possession is the theme at the minute, with both teams perhaps happy with a point tonight - given that they currently sit in first and second place in the table. Durmisi is released down the left, before setting a pass back to Eriksen. The Spurs midfielder curls in a ball that Patricio claims easily.
60'
Only half an hour remains in Braga, with the home side needing to take maximum points on their own soil. Denmark work the ball out to Jacobsen on the right flank, but Coentrao comes out well to tackle the ex-Blackburn full-back. The defences are still on top.
58'
Schmeichel denies Portugal! The former Notts County goalkeeper makes a smart save at his near post to keep the deadlock intact! Moments later, Cedric takes a short throw in to Nani, but the Portuguese winger can only send a low drive straight at Agger! Denmark continue to hold firm.
57'
Krohn-Delhi works the ball out to Durmisi on the left-hand side. The full-back curls in a cross, which Bendtner rises to meet, but the Danish striker can only send a looping header above the target! Half chances are falling to both teams at present.
55'
Cedric continues to be the hosts' main outlet, with Denmark sitting in and hoping to hit their opponents on the break. Braithwaite scampers his way down the right flank, before Bruno Alves slides in to concede a corner. Eriksen delivers yet again, but his cross fails to beat the first man.
53'
Wide from Cedric! After Kjaer manages to half clear a dangerous ball that was angled into the penalty area, the Southampton defender gets onto the rebound in a flash! With Schmeichel left relatively exposed, however, the right-back can only drag a low drive harmlessly wide of the near upright! Wasted!
51'
Schmeichel makes a fairly easy catch, following a Nani strike. The former Sporting winger cut inside from the left and onto his right foot, but the Leicester goalkeeper was more than equal to it. The second half has produced some half chances already, but neither shot-stopper has been asked any tough questions.
49'
Carvalho puts a clearance behind for another Danish corner, with some communication problems springing up between the defender and Patricio. Eriksen whips it in, but the home side win a free kick due to a high foot from Kvist. Santos is cutting a frustrated figure on the sideline.
47'
Hojbjerg has been replaced by Kvist for the second half, probably due to the Schalke midfielder picking up an early booking. Braithwaite manages to earn the visitors a very quick corner, but Ronaldo rises well to clear. A second delivery into the box is met by Bendtner, but the ex-Arsenal striker lashes a half volley onto the post!
46'
W. Kvist enters the game and replaces P. Højbjerg.
We are back underway in the second half in Braga! Portugal have led the charge, but the hosts have thus far been unable to penetrate an experienced and resolute Danish defence. Santos may have to change his approach for the second period of 45 minutes.
45'
Penalty claim for Denmark! Durmisi whips a cross in from the left-hand side, which Cedric accidentally blocks with his arm! The referee simply points for a corner, however, which is hoofed clear with relative ease. The hosts got away with one there!
44'
Eriksen makes a cynical tackle to deny a break for the hosts, with this game being slowed down by plenty of fouls. Ronaldo is the subject of a long pass down the left channel, but Kjaer covers across well to outmuscle the Real Madrid man and shield the ball out of play.
43'
C. Eriksen gets yellow.
42'
Only a few minutes remain until the interval, with Portugal looking to try and give their fans something to smile about. A cross is floated towards the back post from the right byline, but Jacobsen is able to watch the ball out of play easily. Denmark will definitely be pleased with a stalemate, given how they've performed offensively.
40'
Danilo drives down the right flank, before combining with Silva! The ball is worked out to the left, before a cross into the box by Ronaldo is met by Nani! The Fenerbahce winger diverts a header onto the crossbar and over for a goal kick. Close for Portugal.
38'
Schmeichel punches a cross behind for a corner, but Durmisi heads half clear! The rebound loops to the edge of the box, with a shot towards goal deflected just wide of the post by a flicked Ronaldo header! Fortunately for Denmark, the linesman's flag was raised for offside anyway. The visitors break down the other end, with Braithwaite trying to get to the byline, but Carvalho covers across to deny his man brilliantly.
36'
Ronaldo is almost found by Portugal's right-back once again, with everything coming through Cedric pushing into advanced areas. The Real Madrid striker, however, can't make contact with an acrobatic attempt. Yet another delivery is hooked into the Danish box, but Agger hooks a lumped clearance away.
34'
Ronaldo and Nani attempt to combine on the edge of the box, before Moutinho is fed possession. The Monaco midfielder sends a dipping effort goalwards, but it hurtles just above Schmeichel's crossbar and behind! The home fans applaud enthusiastically. Moments later, Cedric looks for Tiago with a neat cut back, but Kjaer clears.
32'
Denmark get their foot on the ball, with the away side trying to piece together some approach play. The away fans cheer each completed pass, but an attempted pass in behind for Braithwaite is cut out by Bruno Alves. Moments later, Hojbjerg tries his luck from range, but a deflection denies the 20-year-old.
30'
Braithwaite tries to poke a through ball towards Eriksen, but Cedric steps in ahead of the former Ajax midfielder to defuse the situation. Jacobsen is fed down the right moments later, but the ex-Copenhagen defender's cross is controlled and cleared by the aforementioned former Sporting right-back.
28'
Santos takes a seat back on his bench, with Portugal just not having any luck in front of goal. Playing direct balls into the area is playing straight into Kjaer and Agger's hands. Schmeichel has still only had one save to make, despite the hosts spending a large portion of the opening half an hour camped in the visitors' half.
26'
Hojbjerg picks up a yellow card for a cynical foul on Silva, with the young midfielder getting the wrong side of his opponent. Denmark manage to clear their lines from the resulting free kick, however. This game has been very fractured indeed, with the referee doing well to try and keep his cards in his pocket.
25'
P. Højbjerg gets yellow.
24'
Portugal ask for a penalty, but the referee isn't interested! Ronaldo goes down just inside the box, but the official waves for him to get up! Kjaer is involved moments later, with the Fenerbahce defender throwing himself into consecutive tackles to deny the aforementioned forward and Moutinho!
22'
Olsen will be relatively pleased with what his side have managed to do thus far, with the Danes able to stave off some early pressure and then piece together a few spells of possession. The hosts have seen a lot more of the ball, but Denmark have had no problems dealing with direct football. Kjaer heads away yet another cross from Cedric.
20'
The atmosphere has gone a little bit flat, with this contest certainly not very high-tempo at the moment. Portugal have managed to cause some problems with some teasing deliveries, but Kjaer and Agger continue to have the answers. Ronaldo clips a ball into the box from 20 yards out, but the aforementioned ex-Lille defender mops up.
18'
Cedric looks to feed Silva down the line, but Durmisi does brilliantly to outmuscle the Monaco winger. Neither side have managed to carve out a clear-cut chance, with two no-nonsense central defensive pairings at both ends of the field. Portugal win themselves a corner, with Nani curling in a dangerous cross, but Kjaer denies Ronaldo yet again!
16'
Chance for Bendtner! The Wolfsburg striker is fed down the right channel by Braithwaite, before sending an awful effort high and wide of the target! The Dane snatches at his attempt, with the ball sailing into the stands. He won't want to see the replay of that!
14'
Yet another delivery is thrown into the penalty box by Cedric, but Kjaer clears ahead of Ronaldo once again! Portugal are putting on some pressure, but Silva sees a shot blocked around 30 yards from goal. The hosts are putting on the early pressure, but Denmark occasionally threaten on the break.
12'
Durmisi goes down heavily, after challenging in the air with Coentrao, but the left-back is quickly back to his feet. Bernardo Silva whips a cross in from the right, but Kjaer rises just above Ronaldo to deny the ex-Man United forward the chance to test Schmeichel with his head.
10'
Bernardo Silva picks out Ronaldo, with the Real Madrid man swivelling on the edge of the penalty area! He unleashes a low drive, with Schmeichel sprawling down to his left to make a solid stop. That's the first time that the warning bells have rung for the visitors, but the Danish goalkeeper had plenty of time to make his save.
8'
Agger heads a fairly poor cross away, before the rebound is picked up by Portugal. Cedric is released down the right, but a cross from the Southampton full-back is hooked away from the danger area by the same ex-Liverpool defender. Cagey stuff from both sides thus far.
7'
Braithwaite whips a devilish cross into the penalty area from the right-hand side, but Patricio comes out to claim ahead of the lurking presence of Bendtner! The goalkeeper had to get there first, otherwise that delivery would have resulted in the Danes taking the lead. The home crowd whistle, as Olsen's men enjoy some possession of their own.
5'
Tiago manages to defuse a break from Denmark, after Bendtner attempted to find Eriksen with a headed knock down. Chances have been few and far between in the very embryonic stages of this fixture, with both defences keen to slow things down and get their foot on the ball.
3'
Portugal try to advance down the right-hand side, but Cedric is eventually forced back towards his own goal by Durmisi. The referee has been keen to keep play flowing in the early stages, with a few niggling fouls ignored for the tempo of the match.

We are underway in the first half in Braga! The home side will be hoping for yet another consecutive qualifying success story, but Denmark are in need of three points in order to keep pace with the Group I leaders. Plenty is on the line tonight!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of Denmark's trip to Portugal, with the hosts looking to kick on from some stuttering recent performances. Fernando Santos' men have won their last six fixtures in European Championship qualifiers, but needed a 92nd minute winner last time out against Albania. The visitors, meanwhile, have drawn their last two competitive matches with 0-0 scorelines.
I'm Simon Harrison and I will be keeping you up to date with all of the action from Braga. Denmark are winless in their last three away visits, while Portugal have fallen to home defeats against France and Cape Verde recently. The hosts currently sit top of Group I, courtesy of five wins from a possible six, with Morten Olsen's side three points off the pace in second place - despite playing a game more.
TEAM NEWS: Cristiano Ronaldo gets a start for the home side, despite Portugal wanting to prove that they're not dependent on the Real Madrid star. Cedric is deployed from the off at right-back, while Pepe misses out at centre-back due to injury. Bruno Alves partners Ricardo Carvalho in the heart of the defence as a result. Tiago and Joao Moutinho provide experience in the midfield three. Both Nani and Bernardo Silva maintain their starting spots.
TEAM NEWS: Daniel Agger and Simon Kjaer provide plenty of experience in defence, with Lars Jacobsen forced to play at left-back. Daniel Wass gets a start, after enjoying good form for Celta Vigo, with Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg getting more first-team minutes despite his tender years. Christan Eriksen and Martin Braithwaite support the lone striker of Nicklas Bendtner.
Portugal starting line-up (4-3-3): Patricio; Cedric, R. Carvalho, B. Alves, Coentrao; Danilo, Moutinho, Tiago; Bernardo Silva, Ronaldo, Nani.
Portugal substitutes: Andre Andre, Eder, Joao Mario, Jose Fonte, Veloso, Quaresma, Ventura, Eduardo, Semedo, Eliseu, Danny, Neto.
Denmark substitutes: Jorgensen, Sisto, Andersen, S. Poulsen, Kvist, Vestergaard, Lossl, Kahlenberg, Sviatchenko, Rasmussen, Y. Poulsen, J. Poulsen.
HALF TIME! The two sides head in goalless at the break, with Denmark on course for their third stalemate in succession. Portugal have had some good chances, with Cedric doing well down the right and Nani rattling the crossbar. Kjaer and Agger, however, aren't to be beaten.
FULL TIME! Portugal wrap up an important three qualifying points, as the hosts propel themselves even further clear at the top of Group I. Denmark remain in second place, with Moutinho's second-half goal enough to decide a tight encounter. That's all that we have time for from Braga, I've been Simon Harrison and I hope to see you again next time.
