A CONSOLATION GOAL FOR QABALA! Chaos in the penalty area and Antonov appears to have a goal as the ball falls kindly to him, but miraculously Ginter slides across to block his attempt! Just when it seems as though nothing will go there way, the rebound deflects straight to Dodo who finishes into the empty net.
90' +2
Into the second of three minutes of stoppage time and Dortmund are sure to curb any hopes of ascendancy from the hosts. In a desperate attempt to find a consolation goal they win a corner, but the visitors clear their lines.
90'
STRAIGHT AT THE KEEPER! Oh my that may have been Aubameyang's easiest chance of the match! He finds way too much space in the area and gets on the end of a pass, but from less than 10 yards out and no one around him, sends a shot directly into the arms of the keeper! That should have been his fourth.
88'
The tempo has slowed to a near halt as we approach the final whistle. There's little question surrounding the scoreline and both teams appear content on moving forward to their next meeting in German in two weeks.
86'
S. Zərgərov gets yellow.
Zagarov makes his first impact, but not the one his coach would have hoped for as he lunges into the back of Schmelzer in the air and gets his elbow up into the back of his head. The referee perhaps lets him off easy by only showing a yellow.
85'
STAT ATTACK: Qabala have lost just one of their last 20 matches in the Azerbaijani Premier League (W16, D3). They have kept 13 clean sheets over that span.
83'
S. Bender gets yellow.
R.Ə. Sadiqov enters the game and replaces D. Meza Colli.
Final change of the match here, as both teams have made three. Meza appears very disheartened as he trots off the pitch, set to be replaced by Razhad Sadygov.
81'
Selfish! Well for all the service he has provided this evening, he deserves to have a go himself. Ginter surges through the centre following a giveaway and finds himself in with three-against-one. He could have played either Reus or Hofmann through, but instead goes for goal himself and is unable to beat Bezotosnyi.
79'
E. Zec enters the game and replaces S. Zenjov.
Zenjov has faded significantly in this second half and will finally see his night come to an end with 10 minutes remaining. Bosnian forward Ermin Zec will replace him.
78'
CLOSE! Ginter is at it again, reeking havoc down the right flank. He whips another terrific delivery into the centre, this time for Reus, but the forward diverts it over the bar!
Minute
Description
76'
It's a disappointing result in the end for Qabala, though I'm not sure how much more they really could have expected. They face Dortmund again in two weeks in Germany and will have to come away with at least a point if they are to keep their hopes of advancing remotely alive.
74'
STAT ATTACK: This is just Dortmund’s second appearance in the Europa League group stage. They failed to make it to the knockout phase in their maiden attempt in 2010/11.
72'
P. Aubameyang has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund!
THERE'S THE HAT-TRICK! Reus picks out Bender atop the area with his corner, and the substitute volleys towards goal. Bezotosnyi makes the initial stop, but Aubameyang is on the doorstep to knock home the rebound.
71'
HOW HAS HE MISSED?! Absolutely extraordinary pass from Ginter, who plays a ball 50 yards over the top on a rope to Hofmann. The forward produces a delightful first touch to bring it down, but in the end is unable to finish as the keeper knocks his effort beyond the far post.
69'
M. Schmelzer enters the game and replaces Park Joo-Ho.
Final change for the visitors as Marcel Schmelzer replaces Park. That means Aubameyang will play out the final 20 minutes as he searches for his hat-trick.
68'
V. Stanković gets yellow.
Could have been three! Hofmann plays a clever little chipped pass into the area for Aubameyang, who really should have hit it first time. Instead the striker tries to bring it down and control, but he's swarmed by red shirts who clear the danger.
66'
Possession remains almost entirely with the visitors as they toy with their opposition in attack. They're showing little urgency to add to their lead, but are doing an excellent job of passing it around near the halfway line in playing keep-away from Qabala.
64'
Double switch from Dortmund as they look to give some regulars a rest ahead of their weekend clash with Augsburg. Lukasz Piszczek and Sven Bender are introduced with Hummels and Gundogan giving way.
63'
Ł. Piszczek enters the game and replaces M. Hummels.
S. Bender enters the game and replaces İ. Gündoğan.
62'
STAT ATTACK: Qabala, along with Norwegian outfit Rosenborg, are the only clubs participating in the group stage having entered the competition in the first round of qualifying.
60'
S. Zərgərov enters the game and replaces F. Pereyra.
Qabala make the first change of the match as Pereyra gives way to Samir Zargarov. The Argentine will not be happy with his night, though he was afforded little room to operate by Dortmund.
59'
Play is brought to a halt as Vernydub goes down and looks for help from the sidelines. It's not exactly clear what the issue is that's bothering the centre-back, but the medical team arrives and applies an ice pack to his hand - this is a bit of a curious injury, though shouldn't keep him from participating in the remainder of the match.
57'
Decent effort! Aubameyang takes a pass from close to 30 yards out and, with support lacking, decides to have a go from range. He strikes it with great power, it's too close to the keeper to make him work for the save.
55'
Dortmund are back to enjoying the bulk of possession after a decent spell from Qabala. The visitors are not showing the same intent out of the gate than they did in the first half, although it could be attributed to the tireless running from the hosts early on here.
53'
Pereyra and Sokratis, despite their sporting gesture earlier, have been involved in some very physical tackles on one another early in this second half. The Qabala midfielder takes a hack at the leg of Sokratis, just minutes after the Greek defender picked up a booking for a two-footed challenge on the Argentine.
51'
STAT ATTACK: Dortmund are unbeaten in their last 10 Europa League matches (W6, D4) since a 1-0 defeat to Sevilla in September 2010.
49'
Important cover from Hofmann, who spots Ginter caught out and intervenes smartly to break up a threatening pass from Ricardinho which nearly sent Zenjov through on goal.
47'
S. Papastathopoulos gets yellow.
Sokratis picks up the first booking of the match as he lunges hard into a tackle on Pereyra. There's little doubt about this one.
46'
Back underway in Azerbaijan!
45' +1
SHOCKING MISS! That would have been a massive goal for Qabala to pull them back into the match before the break, but following a set piece, Stankovic lifts an effort over the bar from no more than five-yards out!
45'
There will be one minute added on at the end of this first half.
44'
Sokratis tries to maneuver out of his own end and is fouled quite clearly by Pereyra. The midfielder pleads his case to the referee, then goes over to help the centre-half up from the ground which leads to a nice embrace between the two players as they share a laugh - sportsmanship at its finest here in Azerbaijan.
42'
Weigl and Gundogan have been the unsung heroes of this first half for Dortmund. They've been instrumental in possession, while playing a vital role in transition. Their positional play has also proved crucial in affording Qabala no way out of their own end.
40'
Dortmund have appeared extremely comfortable out on the pitch and there is no reason to believe that three points for them are anything but a formality at this point. The biggest question as we move forward is how big can this scoreline get? But I think we will see them take their foot off the gas a bit as the match progresses.
38'
P. Aubameyang has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by S. Kagawa.
DOUBLE DELIGHT FOR DORTMUND! It's the most straightforward of build-ups in the end as Aubameyang works a one-two with Kagawa atop the area. The striker does well to take the return pass with a tidy first touch and then pokes the ball past the keeper with the outside of his boot for his second of the match.
37'
STAT ATTACK: Dortmund were paired with Azerbaijani outfit Qarabag in the qualifying phase for the 2010/11 Europa League. They won 4-0 at the Signal Iduna Park before earning a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture in Baku.
35'
Zenjov looks to break with pace from deep in his own end and is clipped by Aubameyang. The ensuing free kick affords the chance for Qabala to advance into the attacking half in possession for the first time in close to 10 minutes.
33'
Dortmund had taken complete control of the game and that opener was imminent. Qabala have to be careful not to get discouraged and keep battling, but the visitors are back on the front foot straight away as they look to add to their lead.
31'
P. Aubameyang has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund! Assist by M. Reus.
STUNNING! IT'S A BELTER TO OPEN THE SCORING! Simple movement down the left from Dortmund and Reus slides a pass to Aubameyang atop the area. The striker has a quick look up and curls a beauty beyond the diving keeper and into the top corner!
28'
Ginter has been very prominent down the right flank in attack for Dortmund, as has Park to a certain extent on the left. The visitors are not reluctant to commit bodies forward, because with the exception of a five-minute spell, Qabala have been unable to exploit the space it affords to them on the counter.
26'
STAT ATTACK: Dortmund have yet to be held scoreless in their 16 competitive matches since Thomas Tuchel took charge, while keeping seven clean sheets themselves.
24'
Another threatening move from the visitors nearly results in the opener, but Dashdemirov does just enough to stick with Aubameyang and turn his strike narrowly behind for a corner. The ensuing delivery is played behind again by Qarabag, but second time is the charm as they are able to clear their lines.
22'
SMART SAVE! Excellent build-up play from Dortmund as a string of one-touch passes carve Qabala to pieces in defence. Gundogan picks out Kagawa, who plays out wide for Ginter. The right-back squares for Aubameyang, but the striker's first-time strike is stopped brilliantly by Bezotosnyi.
20'
The pace has fizzled out a bit, though it was always going to be difficult to maintain the same level throughout the match. Qabala certainly have not backed down in the face of their opponents, however, and it has been a fairly even contest thus far as a result.
18'
Well-worked corner by the hosts! It's played short, but some encouraging movement off the ball sees Pereyra get it in space on the right. He curls a teasing delivery in towards the near post, but Weidenfeller does well to get off his line and claim it.
16'
STAT ATTACK: Qabala have played five home matches in the 2015/16 Europa League (including qualifying) and have yet to concede a goal (W3, D2). They have been scored on in all five of their away matches in the competition (D2, L3).
14'
There is a lovely tempo to the match, in what has been a wonderfully open content through the first quarter-of-an-hour. Dortmund are getting settled again after the latest wave of pressure from the hosts, and make some decent strides in attack, though Ginter sees a shot blocked before Aubameyang misses the target with a header.
12'
OFF THE LINE! This has been a sensational turnaround from the hosts, having been pinned back in their end for the first five minutes. Antonov plays a clever ball through to pick out the run of Dodo, who chips the keeper splendidly. Ginter tracks the effort, however, and manages to make an acrobatic clearance off the line to deny the opener!
10'
In regards to the last opportunity for Dodo, the flag went up late for offside to spoil the winger's blushes - it went unnoticed originally because of the quality of the chance which was missed.
9'
ANOTHER BRILLIANT OPPORTUNITY! Zenjov is played through down the right by a delightful ball and he gets behind the defence. The winger finds himself one-on-one with the keeper, but instead opts to roll a pass across the area for Dodo - and the Brazilian is unable to convert into a gaping goal under pressure from Ginter!
7'
HE'S MISSED! What a chance for the hosts! A quick and tidy break presents Ricardinho with the ball in attack and he produces a terrific cross to pick out Zenjov in the area, but the winger inexplicably heads wide of the target!
5'
Pressure remains on the Qabala goal, with the hosts completely unable to break out of their own end. Hofmann has a decent go from the top of the area, but again the shot is straight at the keeper. The visitors need to convert these early chances into a goal.
3'
Relentless stuff from Dortmund to begin the match! Qabala play with fire in their own end and nearly get burned. The visitors keep possession very well in the final third and refuse to be slowed in attack. Park and Gundogan link-up well, with the ball eventually coming to Ginter who sends a header straight at Bezotosnyi.
1'
And we're off!
Hello footy fans from around the world and welcome to Azerbaijan! The Bakcell Arena is our venue tonight as Qabala try to pull off a historic upset when they play host to a Borussia Dortmund side hoping to remain in top spot in Group C. I am Alex Moretto and I will be your in-game host, guiding you through the match LIVE as it happens!
Dortmund have hit a bit of a rough patch following a dream start under Thomas Tuchel. They got back to their winning ways in the league on Friday, in the first match back from the international break, and are hoping to spark another lengthy run of victories as the fixture list begins to pick up. If they could pick up six points in their next two matches against Qabala, it would leave them with a stranglehold of top spot in Group C.
Qabala have come a long way since being established in 1995. They made their debut in the Azerbaijani top flight in 2007, where they were given their current name after relocation, after earning promotion under the name Gilan. Reaching the group stage was always going to be a daunting task for them, but they defied all odds under Roman Hryhorchuk. Their next task is trying to become the first club from Azerbaijan to reach the knockout phase, and though the odds may be stacked against them, they are daring to dream.
Thomas Tuchel has made a couple of changes to his team which started the 2-0 victory over Mainz on Friday. Roman Weidnfeller in back in goal at the expense of his namesake, Roman Burki, while Jonas Hofmann is given a run out with Henrikh Mkhitaryan grabbing some rest. Joo-ho Park continues to deputise for the injured Lukasz Piszczek.
The hosts name an unchanged XI from that which started their last Europa League fixture, ending in a 2-1 defeat as Krasnodar, though four regulars were given a rest on the weekend in their 1-0 victory away to Neftci - Vitaliy Vernydub, Ricardinho, David Meza and Aleksiy Antonov - the last of whom came on as a substitute and wound up scoring the winner in stoppage time.
There's a healthy mix of excitement and haste in the crowd as the players make their way out of the tunnel. The fans are excited to see a team of Dortmund's stature pay a visit to their little corner, but don't want to show them too much respect either with an important three points for their side at stake. Moments away now from kick-off!
HALF TIME: QABALA 0-2 DORTMUND. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's brace has Tuchel's men comfortably in front at the break in Azerbaijan, despite a nervy spell in defence to start the match. The Bundesliga outfit appear in complete control and barring a drastic second-half turnaround from the hosts, are on track to pick up the three points.
FULL TIME: QABALA 1-3 DORTMUND. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyeng netted a hat-trick as Thomas Tuchel's men extend their lead atop Group C. In the end it was a fairly straightforward three points for Dortmund, who curbed an early surge from the hosts before taking charge for the remainder of the match.
I am Alex Moretto and I would like to thank you all for joining me here today. Good bye!
