FULL-TIME! That is that at the King Power Stadium! Leicester have won, and also claimed their first clean sheet of the season.
90' +1
We're into the first minute of four minutes added time now. Palace pile on the pressure, only for Cabaye to blast a volley high over the bar from the edge of the box.
90'
J. Vardy gets yellow.
Leicester finally venture forward, but Dyer's touch is sloppy and Kelly pounces. He finds Sako, who is fouled by the lunging Vardy, and the England man duly goes into the referee's book.
89'
Another penalty appeal turned down now for Palace, with Bamford going down under pressure from Morgan, but it appears that the referee got this one right.
88'
That was a huge call from Dean, and the replays suggest that he may have got it wrong. Palace have no time to feel sorry for themselves however. Can they grab a leveller?
87'
W. Zaha gets yellow.
86'
Penalty??? NO! The set-piece comes to nothing and again Palace have the ball. Dann lofts another long-pass forward, which falls to Zaha. The former Manchester United winger nudges it through the legs of Fuchs, who does appear to catch his man. But Dean waives away the appeals, and books Zaha for his troubles.
83'
Scrappy play on the edge of the box sees Bamford get a tame shot away, but Schmeichel is more than equal to it. Schlupp burst free at the other end and does brilliantly to win a free-kick on the byline. Terrific play from the winger.
81'
McArthur looks for Bamford with a long pass up-field, but the ball skids through to Schmeichel. Leicester hit it long, but Vardy is unable to hold it up and Palace again come forward. One-way traffic now.
79'
N. Dyer enters the game and replaces R. Mahrez.
Some rest-bite for Leicester now, with Dyer coming on for Mahrez. The Algerian has been quiet today, but did supply the assist for Vardy’s goal with a superb throughball.
Minute
Description
78'
Leicester under real pressure here, with Palace lumping cross after cross into the box. Sako puts in another inviting delivery, but it sails just over Dann’s head and goes out for a goal kick.
77'
Sako’s delivery is met by Bolasie, but his header is wayward. Palace win a throw-in, and work it back to the DR Congo winger, whose long-range strike is deflected away for a corner. Sao again takes the set-piece, but Dann’s header is punched away by Schmeichel.
76'
M. Jedinak enters the game and replaces A. Mariappa.
75'
Okazaki concedes a free-kick in a central area. Sako stands over it, but has to wait as Mile Jedinak comes on for Palace in place of Mariappa.
74'
Ranieri has promised his side Pizza upon receipt of their first clean sheet of the season. That threat is looking in doubt, however, with Palace on top, but the hosts are defending stoically.
72'
Another mistake from Palace’s defence almost lets Vardy in for a second. This time it is Dann who gives it away, but the Leicester man’s shot is blocked by Huth. Sako crosses in at the other end, but Morgan gets it clear with a commanding header.
70'
GOOD SAVE! Zaha holds it up on the edge of the area before playing it back to Sako. The one-time Wolves man curls in a delightful left-footed shot, but Schmeichel is on hand to parry it away from goal.
69'
A second change now for the visitors, with Pardew bringing on Zaha. The winger will have to be on his game if he is to inspire a comeback today, with Leicester looking hungry for more goals.
68'
W. Zaha enters the game and replaces J. Puncheon.
Palace attack, but Bamford concede possession to Kante. Mahrez burst down the right at the other end, but Cabaye intercepts his pass and sets Puncheon free. He is brought down from behind by Schlupp, who is awarded a yellow card - his fifth of the season.
67'
J. Schlupp gets yellow.
65'
D. Simpson gets yellow.
That goal has ignited proceedings now, and Palace will need to come out and attack their hosts. Simpsons flies in on Bolasie in midfield with a rash tackle, and is perhaps lucky to just escape with a booking.
63'
S. Okazaki enters the game and replaces M. Albrighton.
62'
Well that goal really did come out of the blue for the hosts. They were set to bring on Nathan Dyer in place of Albrighton, but instead the former Aston Villa man is replaced by Okazaki.
59'
J. Vardy has scored a goal for Leicester City! Assist by R. Mahrez.
GOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!! VARDY GIVES LEICESTER THE LEAD! Dreadful from Hangeland, who gives the ball away under no pressure. Mahrez plays it through first time to Vardy, who fires in his 10th of the season after rounding the on-rushing Hennessey.
58'
The game has finally picked up some pace again now, with some fierce tackles going in from both sets of players. Morgan and Bolasie tussle down at the corner flag, before McArthur flies in on Schlupp.
57'
P. Bamford enters the game and replaces F. Campbell.
The first change of the game now, as Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford replaces Campbell up top, who looks rather disgruntled at Pardew’s decision to take him off.
56'
Good skill from Mahrez, who gets round Kelly before winning a free-kick. Fuchs takes, but his delivery is dreadful. Schlupp manages to regain possession, only to drag his shot wide.
55'
Again Leicester are wasteful in the final third. Albrighton finds space on the left, but his dinked cross is easily cleared by Hangeland. A poor delivery there from the winger, who really should have opted to drill in a pass rather than another looping ball.
52'
After their fast start, Leicester have not been playing at their usual blistering pace so far this afternoon, and Palace’s defence have not really been troubled. The visitors move forward through Bolasie, whose route to goal is screened-off by Morgan.
51'
Sloppy play from both sides. A poor pass from Albrighton is cut-out by Bolasie. Palace earn a throw in and work it to Mariappa, who loses out to Drinkwater. Cabaye intercepts, but his pass is over-hit and flies out of play.
49'
The rain has continued to pour down in the midlands, and the surface is especially skiddy. McArthur's slip almost costs Palace, but the ball is sheparded back to Hennessey with Vardy pressing.
47'
Cabaye delivers a lofted cross from Palace's first corner of the game, which Dann rises highest to meet, but his header drops harmelessly wide of the upright.
46'
KICK-OFF! Mike Dean blows the whistle and we are back under way.
No changes for either side at half-time then, and it's Palace who begin on the front foot, Huth having to be alert to poke away Sako's cross to the near post. Bolasie collects it back on the other side, and his cross has to be nudged behind for a corner by Morgan.
45'
Leicester having all of the ball now as half-time approaches, but they have been unable to really test Hennessay since Albrighton hit the post in the opening stages.
HALF-TIME! Mike Dean calls time on what has been an entertaining opening period.
42'
An opportunity now for Leicester, who have been rather wasteful following a blistering start. Albrighton delivers from a free-kick on the left, but Palace clear. Campbell burst forward, but Simpson does superbly to recover.
40'
Kante has been impressive for Leicester since his arrival from Caen in August, and the midfielder again proves his worth as he intercepts Sako’s pass towards Puncheon. Drinkwater finds Albrighton, but the winger’s dangling cross is dealt with comfortably by Dann.
37'
Sharp play from Cabaye, who fires in a quickly-taken free-kick, but Campbell is unable to get on the end of the cross. Cabaye gets it back on the edge of the area, but his curling drive does not test Schmeichel.
35'
One problem for Leicester so far has been getting Vardy involved in the play. Both Hangeland and Dann are extremely capable in the air, meaning balls over the top are not really an option for Ranieri’s side. Schlupp and Albrighton have provided viable alternatives so far, but Palace are defending well.
33'
Crunching tackle from Drinkwater on Bolasie, who kicks out at the former Manchester United midfielder. Dean gives Leicester the free-kick, but they can make nothing of it and Palace are able to recover possession.
31'
Leicester work it patiently towards Albrighton, who appears to be fouled by Kelly, but no free-kick is awarded. The pace has finally lowed somewhat now, but it is certainly a fascinating encounter.
28'
Composed play from Simpson at the back, who sees off the sliding tackle of Yohan Cabaye with a deft touch. The Frenchman has been somewhat embarrassed by his former teammate there!
27'
Bolasie attempts to play-in Kelly, but Albrighton is on hand to intercept. He wins a free-kick and the play is switch over to the left, where McArthur nips in ahead of Drinkwater to put the ball out of play.
24'
The pace of the game here is outstanding, with both sides looking to turn defence into attack in a matter of seconds. Bolasie jinks his way in from the left for Palace, but his strike is blocked by Morgan.
22'
Superb play again from the hosts! Mariappa whips in a dangerous ball at the other end, but Simpson is able to head clear under pressure from Bolasie. Leicester counter, with Drinkwater nodding it on to Schlupp. The wing-back crosses towards Vardy, but the striker cannot direct his header on target. Brilliant stuff from Leicester.
21'
Another half-chance for Leicester, as Fuchs shirks off Dann to dink in a cross from the byline, but Hennessey reacts quickest to gather the ball in under his crossbar.
20'
Leicester’s pace in attack has been their main threat this season, and they are showing how effective it can be again today. But Palace are standing firm so far, and Sako almost gets through on goal after latching onto Cabaye's pass, but Morgan stands him up well.
18'
CHANCE! Great work from Schlupp down the left, bursting inside before teeing up Drinkwater, who tries a shot from at least 30-yards-out. The strike is hit well, but Hennessey gets down early to collect it.
14'
As expected, it’s been a free-flowing start to proceedings, with Leicester having the better of it so far. Schlupp is the next to test the visitors, but Dann does well to block the Ivorian’s shot.
11'
UNLUCKY! Leicester counter after Sako loses out to Kante. The midfielder loops a superb pass to Mahrez, who slots it though to Vardy, but the England striker just strays offside.
10'
Palace scramble the corner clear, only to concede a free-kick 30-yards from goal. Drinkwater takes, but Hennessey is well positioned to prevent the strike finding the top-left corner.
9'
Another chance for Leicester, who have started to solidify their dominance already. Vardy dispossesses Hangeland and burst into the box from the right flank. He drills a low cross across goal, which Dann turns over the bar for a corner.
8'
CLOSE! Albrighton hits the post! Brilliant work from the winger, who drifts in from the right and drives in a low shot on goal. Hennessey is beaten but the ball clatters back into play off the post, but Mahrez cannot find the bottom corner from the rebound.
6'
Good work from Simpson down the right, but his searching cross-field ball cannot find Schlupp. Palace attempt to counter, but Kante and Drinkwater stifle any threat.
3'
Leicester have scored in every game so far this season, but have also conceded in all their fixtures so far. Can Ranieri's side finally claim a cleen-sheet today? They are in possession now, playing it around patiently at the back.
2'
Palace have started promisingly. Bolasie calls Schemichel into action with a testing cross, before Puncheon drifts through Leicester's midfield, but Morgan manages to get in a timely tackle.
1'
KICK-OFF! Palace get us under way, kicking from right to left in the first half.
Hello and welcome to our LIVE text commentary of Leicester City's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace! I'm Patric Ridge, and I'll be keeping you up to date with all the action from the King Power Stadium.
It's fifth versus sixth in the Premier League today, with both side's having enjoyed marvelous starts to the season. Leicester have lost just once all campaign under Claudio Ranieri, and showd their resiliance again last week, coming from two goals down to snatch a point at Southampton.
Palace, meanwhile, have carried on where they left off under Alan Pardew last term, claiming 15 points from a possible 27 so far, though they failed to make it three wins from three in the league last week - losing out 3-1 to Pardew's former club West Ham.
The teams are in at the King Power Stadium. So without further ado, let’s see who will be lining up for either side today.
Leicester Subs: Schwarzer, De Laet, King, Kramaric, Okazaki, Dyer, Inler.
So just the one change from Ranieri, who in spite of his reputation as the ‘tinker man’, has remained relatively consistent with his team selection during his spell in charge at Leicester so far. Mahrez replaces Okazaki in the free-role behind the in-form Vardy.
Pardew, on the other hand, has made three changes from the line up that were beaten by West Ham last time out. Souaré drops out all together, with Mariappa replacing him, while Campbell fills-in for the suspended Dwight Gayle up top. Sako is in for Zaha, who drops to the bench.
The teams are out on the pitch now. Another full house here at the King Power, and the fans are making a superb atmosphere as always. The referee today is Mike Dean.
So no goals to report as of yet, though Leicester have gone the closest, with Marc Albrighton hitting the post with a strike from distance. Palace have been equal to the hosts though, and deserve to go in at half time on level terms.
Plenty of work to do for both managers then. While neither side has been disappointing, they have both lacked real cutting-edge in the final third. Mahrez has been particularly disappointing for Leicester, while Vardy has been dealt with admirably by Dann and Hangeland so far.
Both sets of players back out on the pitch now, with Leicester set to get the second half up and running.
Another enthralling game from the Premier League. Leicester were far from at their best, but deserved the win in the end, and again have their star man to thank. Vardy was relatively quiet throughout, but he took his chance when it came as any top striker does.
Palace were unfortunate not to get a penalty late on, but apart from a curling strike from Sako, never really tested Schemichel, who will be delighted to have finally kept his first clean sheet of the campaign.
With West Ham beating Chelsea, Leicester have to be content to stay in fifth, though they are level on points with Manchester United and Arsenal.
Well, that's all from me for today. It's been a pleasure to bring you all the action from the King Power Stadium, where Leicester claimed their first clean sheet of the season as they saw-off Crystal Palace 1-0 thanks to Jamie Vardy's second-half strike. Until next time, goodbye!
