PSV get us underway!
Hello and welcome to the live match commentary between PSV Eindhoven and Wolfsburg. I'm Lucas Swain, and I'll be guiding you through all the action as it happens in this Champions League clash.
Currently sitting at the bottom, PSV will be eager to pick up a win here as anything else could spell trouble for the Dutch side as they seek qualification from this tightly contested Champions League group.
Meanwhile, the fortunes of Wolfsburg are quite the contrast as they find themselves at the summit of Group B. However, with just three points seperating the two sides, Hecking's men must be careful to avoid defeat when they travel to the Philips Stadion.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS
Phillip Cocu opts for just one change from his side that put six past De Graafschap on the weekend, although it must be said they did also concede three which could be a worry. Maher slots into the heart of midfield at the expense of Hendrix.
Hecking opts for two changes from the side that overcame Bayer Leverkusen last time out. Goalscorer Niklas Bendtner finds himself on the bench as Bas Dost returns, plus Joshua Guilavogui slots into midfield alongside Luiz Gustavo to anchor the team.
Just five minutes until kick-off! The fans are in their seats, the atmosphere is building and the players are in the tunnel. Not long now.
Quite a poor half from both sides going forward, but it was certaintly PSV who looked slightly more dangerous. Cocu's team need a win from this match to have a better chance of qualifing so prehaps expect changes if the second half continues in the same fashion.
That's all from tonight. PSV go up to second in the group and Wolfsburg drop to third. Thank you for joining us for this Champions League clash, I've been Lucas Swain and it's goobye from me until next time!
