BANEGA CONVERTS! Again it's nothing more than a consolation goal, but the Argentine sends the keeper the wrong way to pull another goal back for the Rojiblancos.
90'
PENALTY TO SEVILLA! Clumsy from Xhaka who trips Krychowiak inside the area, and the referee doesn't hesitate in pointing to the spot.
89'
Full credit to these two teams for putting on a show for the fans tonight. Their fate was already pretty much settled before kick-off, but that hasn't stopped either of them from getting forward straight from the get go and looking to put on an attacking clinic.
87'
N. Elvedi enters the game and replaces F. Johnson.
NEARLY AN OWN GOAL! Nordtveit lucky to escape with one there as he heads onto the frame of his own net following a cross in from the left. It was a thumping header in the end from the centre-half, but it has come at the wrong end!
85'
What a crazy sequence that was! Three goals in five minutes and the tempo has yet to slow back down. Sevilla know the game is over, but they're sending everyone forward in an attempt to salvage a bit of respect - they won't go down without a fight!
84'
J. Drmić gets yellow.
83'
L. Stindl has scored a goal for Borussia M'gladbach! Assist by F. Johnson.
INSTANT RESPONSE FROM THE HOSTS! This kid is alright, isn't he? Stindl takes a pass about 25-yards out and is invited to shoot by Tremoulinas. He takes a first touch to control and smacks an emphatic finish into the far corner with his second, leaving Sergio Rico no chance. The quality of that strike is not to be understated!
82'
Vitolo has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by Fernando Llorente.
Mariano enters the game and replaces Coke.
VITOLO PULLS ONE BACK! It's nothing more than a consolation marker for Sevilla, however. The forward is played onside by Wendt, getting on the end of Llorente's ball and had all day to finish past Sommer.
80'
That was Raffael's first Champions League goal and there is no question it was deserved. He's been a nuisance all night for Sevilla, running rampant in attack and providing a consistent threat at goal. Sergio Rico has had his number for much of the evening, but the Brazilian just wasn't to be denied.
Minute
Description
79'
M. Schulz enters the game and replaces Mahmoud Dahoud.
78'
Raffael has scored a goal for Borussia M'gladbach! Assist by L. Stindl.
TURN OUT THE LIGHT, THE PARTY'S OVER! Sevilla's party, that is. Gladbach's celebrations are only getting started! It's too easy or the hosts as Stindl runs through the heart of midfield and threads a pass through for Raffael, who FINALLY gets the better of Sergio Rico.
76'
Fernando Llorente enters the game and replaces K. Gameiro.
The noise level inside the stadium is absolutely deafening. These fans are out in full support, showing their appreciation in their final home match of this season's Champions League. The players have rewarded the fans for their support, and this party will likely continue deep into the night.
74'
GET THIS MAN A NEW CONTRACT! Raffael gets on the end of a fine passing move and has the goal at his mercy, but Sergio Rico makes an absolutely incredible save! He charges off his line and somehow stretches his leg far out to get a foot to the Brazilian's close-range strike!
72'
Two records appear to be coming to an end this evening. Gladbach are one of four teams in the group stage yet to record a victory, but that should end in 20 minutes. Meanwhile, Sevilla had advanced past the group stage in each of their previous two involvements in the competition - a streak which is in serious jeopardy at the moment.
70'
What is Banega doing?! Coke produces a delightful ball in from the right and it drops at the far post. It's begging out to be attacked, but Banega inexplicably stands and stares, allowing Korb to make a simple clearance behind for a corner.
68'
F. Johnson has scored a goal for Borussia M'gladbach! Assist by J. Korb.
SURELY THAT SETTLES IT! Emphatic finish from Fabian Johnson! Coke affords him far too much space inside the area, and the American takes one touch to control and a second to curl an assured finish in at the far post. Stunning!
67'
SHOCKING MISS! Sevilla finding openings in the Gladbach defence, as Konoplyanka - who else? - chips a delightful ball over the top to play Gameiro clean through. The striker has the goal at his mercy, but lacks the composure to take the chance as he rolls his effort agonisingly wide of the far post!
65'
CLOSE YET AGAIN! Konoplyanka remains the visitors' most likely threat to provide a breakthrough, and he comes close to pulling them level with a first-time effort from atop the area. He tries to place a shot in at the near post, but it curls into the side netting. That wasn't very far away.
64'
S. Nzonzi enters the game and replaces M. Krohn-Dehli.
By no means is this an attacking change from the visitors as defensive midfielder Steven N'Zonzi replaces Krohn-Dehli. It's a puzzling switch from Unai Emery, considering his side need to win this game to stay alive in the competition.
62'
INCHES AWAY! The bulk of Sevilla's creativity in attack has filtered through Konoplyanka, and the Ukraine international is at it again, driving down the right before curling a delightfully-teasing ball in for Gameiro. The striker arrives just a split-second too late, however, failing to convert the chance.
60'
Gameiro lets his teammates hear it as he sees a shot blocked inside the area. He's arguing that no one made themselves available for a pass, while the shot was hardly on offer either. Frustration is starting to set in for the visitors, who need a miracle across the two Group D games to keep their qualification hopes alive.
58'
STAT ATTACK: Gladbach have actually failed to win any of their six games in European competition in 2015 (two in the Europa League, four in the Champions League).
56'
Despite Sevilla coming out of the break with plenty of attacking intent, Gladbach have made a decent start of their own on the counter. They continue to throw everything at goal and have Sevilla's qualification hopes hanging by a thread.
54'
CRACKING HIT! Poetry in motion from Gladbach in attack as Stindl is teed up for a shot atop the area. He hesitates and the ball is poked free, but only as far as Xhaka who unleashes a bullet from range! He couldn't have hit it any better, but Sergio Rico is able to dive to his left to keep it out!
52'
KEEPER DOESN'T GET THERE! Sommer off his line to meet a cross in from the right, but he fails to arrive in time. Krychowiak meets it, but the keeper is letoff the hook as the Sevilla midfielder can't climb high enough to keep his header down.
50'
Mahmoud Dahoud gets yellow.
Successive fouls from the hosts, the first from Xhaka and the second from Dahoud. They were close enough together that the referee decides to take action, putting the latter into the book for a cynical foul on Vitolo.
48'
JUST TOO HIGH! Sevilla will be in all-out-attack mode in this second half, needing to score twice without reply to keep their slim qualification hopes alive. They get on the front foot and come close to leveling as Tremoulinas' cross comes in from the left, but it just eludes the head of Gameiro in the centre.
46'
No changes at the break as the second half gets underway!
45'
HALF TIME!
43'
SPLENDID COVER! Tidy piece of defending from Nordtveit who slides in to block Vitolo's shot behind. The pressure stays on from Sevilla following the corner and the ball falls kindly for Krychowiak atop the area, but his effort is blocked fearlessly by Xhaka!
41'
EVERYTHING BUT THE FINISH! What a dazzling run that was from Coke down the right, leaving defenders in the lurk. He breaks into the area and steps inside his marker, but gets the finish all wrong in the end as it sails embarrassingly wide of the far post.
39'
Sevilla have settled things down again and are looking to take a more patient approach in possession. They are passing it around encouragingly in the midfield third as Gladbach struggle to win it back. Unai Emery wants to see them make this possession count!
37'
Gladbach's approach was evident from the opening kick and it has payed off up to this point. They have come out firing on all cylinders, looking to shoot at every opportunity. The hosts have already produced 16 attempts on goal, eight of which have found the target.
35'
STAT ATTACK: Sevilla have lost their last three Champions League games. They had lost only four of their previous 17 games in the competition.
34'
É. Banega gets yellow.
33'
Back on the front foot are Sevilla, eager to restore parity. Konoplyanka has been a real lively figure in attack, always looking to take on a defender. There are no signs of this tempo slowing down.
31'
The tempo of this match from the opening kick has been extraordinary! There have been few moments of calm, with the two sides so eager to get amongst the goals. There were five scored when these two teams last met at Borussia-Park in February.
29'
L. Stindl has scored a goal for Borussia M'gladbach! Assist by G. Xhaka.
GLADBACH HAVE THE BREAKTHROUGH! A relentless period of pressure from the hosts pays off as Stindl makes a brilliant run between the two Sevilla centre-backs to get on the end of Xhaka's shot-cum-cross and redirect it past a helpless Sergio Rico!
28'
TWO MORE FOR RICO! Xhaka's effort from range was never going to trouble the keeper, but Gladbach quickly win the ball back and set up Raffael at the end of a clever passage of play, but the keeper is again able to deny the Brazilian!
27'
VITAL INTERVENTION! Christensen may well have saved a goal as Konoplyanka found himself in a prominent position, but just couldn't get on the end of Banega's pass as the Gladbach centre-half manages to intervene at the vital moment.
25'
NOT A BAD EFFORT! Raffael makes waves down the right as he works his way into space before looking to play in a cross. His delivery deflects high into the air off Kolodziejczak, but Stindl is able to meet it at the far post. He tries an acrobatic overhead kick and makes good contact, but the accuracy is all off as he fails to put it on target.
23'
The tide has shifted drastically since the opening 10 minutes, with the hosts finding themselves hemmed in their own end. Sevilla look very comfortable in staying on the front foot and are inching closer towards a breakthrough.
21'
EXQUISITE GOALKEEPING! Brilliant approach play from Sevilla as they carve through the heart of the Gladbach defence. Gameiro tees up Konoplyanka in the centre, but Sommer gets down marvelously to deny the Ukraine international from eight-yards out.
19'
Well how about that?! Boos rain down from the stands as Coke and Gameiro collide inside the Gladbach area, unknowingly, and appeal for a penalty. Of course the referee never had a decision to make there, but it is a laughable moment - you don't see that often!
17'
SEVILLA DRAW FIRST BLOOD.... but it won't count! Lovely linkup play on the left as Vitolo is played through. He squares for Gameiro in the centre, and the striker finishes tidily, but the linesman says Vitolo was unable to keep the ball in play along the end-line, which is the right decision in the end.
15'
STAT ATTACK: Three of Gladbach’s six European games in 2015 have been against Sevilla (twice in the Europa League, once in the Champions League). They have lost all of them.
13'
J. Drmić enters the game and replaces I. Traoré.
Concern for Gladbach as Traore pulls up lame after trying a shot from distance. He is in real discomfort and signals to the bench for a change, which will end his night inside a quarter of an hour. Josip Drmic is the one chosen to replace him, which won't prompt any reshuffle in attack.
11'
SEVILLA RESPOND! Gameiro gets on the end of an encouraging piece of attacking play from the visitors and forces Sommer into action at the near post. The pressure stays on from the corner as Krohn-Dehli's run isn't tracked, but the Danish midfielder can't direct an effort on target.
9'
A third for Rico! Gladbach's lively start continues as they remain on the front foot in search of the opener. Johnson sprints down the left to get ont the end of a move and test the keeper, but this one is a bit more straightforward for Sergio Rico.
7'
TERRIFIC REACTIONS! Sergio Rico had to be alert and was as a shot from atop the area by Traore takes a generous deflection en route to goal, but the keeper is able to dive down to his left and keep it out as his busy start to the match continues.
5'
It is pouring rain here in Germany, but it has done nothing to dampen the spirits of these Gladbach fans who have created a superb atmosphere at Borussia-Park. They may have no chance of progressing, but that hasn't stopped the fans from issuing their full support.
3'
RAFFAEL INVITED TO SHOOT! The Brazilian runs at the defence who are too quick to back off, allowing him plenty of space to have a strike at goal. He unleashes a powerful drive and gets good movement behind it, but Sergio Rico is up to the task.
1'
Sevilla get the match underway, kicking right to left.
Monchengladbach have made just one change to their team following a 2-1 victory over Hannover on the weekend, with Granit Xhaka back in after getting a rest. He assumes his usual position in midfield, while Havard Nordtveit moves back into defence. Tony Jantschke is dropped to the bench to make room.
The top two and bottom two are settled in Group D, and unfortunately for these sides they find themselves staring up at the likes of Juventus and Manchester City. While neither will be participating in the knockout stage (it would take a miracle for Sevilla), there is still a chance for one of them to receive an automatic spot in the Europa League round of 32. A victory today for Sevilla ensures their return to the competition which they won last season, while a Monchengladbach success means it will come down to the final matchday.
Sevilla were dealt a 2-1 loss away to Real Sociedad on the weekend, dropping them to 11th in the Primera Division. It came at an even greater expense as on-loan Inter centre-back Marco Andreolli picked up a season ending Achilles injury. Timothee Kolodziejczak starts today in his absence, as one of six changes made by Unai Emery in an attempt to shake things up. Coke, Michael Krohn-Dehli, Ever Banega, Yevhen Konoplyanka and Kevin Gameiro are also brought into the team at the expense of Mariano, Steven N'Zonzi, Vicente Iborra, Jose Antonio Reyes and Ciro Immobile.
Hello and welcome to Germany for another lovely evening of Champions League football! Borussia-Park is our venue this evening as Monchengladbach play host to Sevilla. The two sides have no chance of advancing through to the knockout stage, but a third-place finish and a spot in the Europa League remains up for grabs! Please enjoy our text commentary, guiding you through the match LIVE as it happens!
GLADBACH 1-0 SEVILLA. Lars Stindl has the hosts in front after 45 minutes as they make the most of their countless efforts on target. Both goalkeepers have had their work cut out for them and are looking undoubtedly sharp after 45 minutes, but it's the hosts who have produced the moment of quality needed to break the deadlock.
GLADBACH 4-2 SEVILLA. A Lars Stindl double sends Die Fohlen into third place in Group D, while ending the Rojiblancos' qualifying hopes. Andre Schubert's work as coach has payed off in a big way as this Gladbach side has a very different look and feel to it than the one that fell 3-0 in Spain in September. They will have a chance to secure a place in the Europa League with a victory in their final match.
Thank you for following along with out live coverage from Germany. Good bye!
