Dortmund get us under way here at Signal Iduna Park. The man in charge of the cards for today's affair is Manuel Grafe.
Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE text commentary on today's Bundesliga clash between Borussia Dortmund and Stuttgart from the Signal Iduna Park. Kick off is at 2:30pm GMT.
Dortmund suffered only their second league loss of the season last time out against Hamburg and followed that up with another defeat against Krasnodar in the Europa League on Thursday. Thomas Tuchel will be hoping for a big response from his side this afternoon against Stuttgart.
On the other hand, Stuttgart have lost three of their last five games in the Bundesliga, suffering back-to-back defeats in their most recent two, and need a positive result today to keep their heads above the relegation zones.
TEAM NEWS: Tuchel has made five changes to the side which started Dortmund's last match against Krasnodar in midweek. Roman Burki, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Shinji Kagawa, Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all come into the first eleven for today's encounter.
TEAM NEWS: Jurgen Kramny has made four alterations to the team which started Stuttgart's last Bundesliga fixture against Augsburg. Przemyslaw Tyton, Georg Niedermeier, Lukas Rupp and Alexandru Maxim all get the chance to impress from the get-go this afternoon.
Both sets of players are stripped and ready to go as they leave the tunnel and enter onto the field here at the Signal Iduna Park. We are just moments away from seeing the action start to unfold.
HALF TIME: DORTMUND 2-1 STUTTGART
Well, well, well. As both sets of players head off the pitch for the half-time interval, Dortmund lead Stuttgart by two goals to one in what was a fantastic opening period at Signal Iduna Park. The hosts had the lion's share of possession but Stuttgart always looked a threat on the counter attack.
Dortmund stormed into a two-nil lead thanks to goals from Castro and Aubameyang. However Stuttgart had chance after chance in the first half, largely through Werner, and eventually made the breakthrough via a close finish from Didavi.
Castro was fantastic in the opening period for Dortmund, scoring the first and setting up the second. The former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder was a constant live wire in Stuttgart's midfield, while Werner has backed up the hype surrounding his name with a solid performance so far.
FULL TIME: DORTMUND 4-1 STUTTGART
Jurgen Kramny's interim reign in charge of Stuttgart starts with a defeat as his side were beaten 4-1 by Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scores twice to continue his impressive goalscoring exploits this term.
Gonzalo Castro had a say in Dortmund's first two goals by scoring one and setting up Aubameyang for his first, before Didavi found the net minutes before the interval to get Stuttgart back into the game.
However the visitors couldn't build on Didavi's strike after the break as Dortmund took control of the tie, restoring their two-goal advantage thanks to an own goal from Georg Niedermeier, before Aubameyang made certain of the win with another strike late on.
That's all from us here and it has been a great pleasure talking you through all of today's action from Signal Iduna Park. We hope you can join us again very soon. Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
