CHERYSHEV HITS THE POST! Isco, who already has two assists to his name, collects the ball on the edge of the box and tees up the substitute, who attempts to pass a precision strike into the corner, only to see his strike bounce off the outside of the post! So unlucky! It remains at 8-0!
87'
This has not been a particularly happy night for Malmo coach, Age Hareide, who is actually in charge of the Swedish outfit for the last time this evening. An 8-0 drubbing is not the perfect swan song, but at least he has had some brilliant attacking play to watch, even if it has been at his expense...
85'
There is a small break in play at the moment as Arnason is currently down after being taken out during a corner kick by Casilla. It wasn't a foul, but the Malmo captain just took a sore one during an aerial collision with the goalkeeper - he'll be okay.
83'
Madrid are just looking so dangerous here and this scoreline by no means flatters the home side, who could have very easily have netted 12 or 13 this evening- it has been that level of dominance.
81'
Marcelo, who came on for Pepe not long ago, makes his way into the final third and turns sharply to get beyond Tinnerholm before finding a yard of space to drill a strike at goal. Wiland has his front post covered though and sees the strike wide as it slams into the side-netting.
79'
Madrid are just professionally seeing out the match now but this by no stretch of the imagination means that they are going to halt their pursuit of more goals. They will have more important challenges in the future, so no need to expel more energy than required with the scoreline the way it is.
77'
S. Kroon enters the game and replaces E. Rakip.
Third and final change from the visitors as Erdal Rakip, who actually had a very good chance in the first half only to hit over the bar, make way for Simon Kroon.
76'
D. Cheryshev enters the game and replaces M. Kovačić.
Another change for Real Madrid now and the man coming on has certainly been in the news this week. Denis Cheryshev, whose inclusion in the Copa del Rey last week has saw Los Blancos knocked out of the competition due to eligibility issues, comes on to replace Kovacic.
74'
K. Benzema has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Isco.
Isco just loves assisting goals, and his latest comes for Benzema after a lovely run and pass through the centre. Terrific.
GOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLL FOR REAL MADRID! BENZEMA GET HIS HAT-TRICK! Isco twists and turns in the middle and glides into space before passing into the feet of Benzema, who easily skips past a couple of challenges before lashing a strike into the corner! 8-0!
72'
Just under 20 minutes remaining now and the good news for Malmo is that we are in the final stretch of play here, so they can quickly hop on the bus and head home after the final whistle!

Description
70'
M. Kovačić has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALLL FOR REAL MADRID! SEVEN HEAVEN FOR LOS BLANCOS! Wiland gets down to his left-hand side to initially make the good save before the ball can cross the line after a cross from the right, but the Malmo defence take too long to react and possession falls to Kovacic who sends a precision finish into the corner! That is his first goal since signing from Inter in the summer! 7-0!
69'
Real Madrid manage to counterattack and find themselves incredibly four versus one at the back, with just Tinnerholm in defence for Malmo! Somehow, unbelievably, the solitary defender for the stoppers manages to intercept a pass through from Ronaldo, which gets his side off the hook massively!
67'
Kovacic picks up the ball inside the centre circle and glides into the final third completely unopposed before attempting to thread an incisive pass through the middle for Ronaldo, but Wiland does well to dart off his line to make the clearance before the former Manchester United man can get a touch on the ball.
65'
Jesé enters the game and replaces J. Rodríguez.
Benitez makes another alteration and it sees James, who has been quiet despite the scoreline, make way for Jese, who will be wanting to get involved in the goalscoring action like the other attackers.
64'
A. Mehmeti enters the game and replaces T. Sana.
Another change from Malmo here and it sees Tobian Sana, who has been rather ineffectual down the left wing, make way for Agon Mehmeti, who, I'm sure, has not been tasked with salvaging anything from this match for the Swedish side. Not the best time to enter the action, when 6-0 down!
62'
Arguably the worst piece of news facing Malmo at the moment as that there is still around 30 minutes to play, which means there is going to be some serious graft implented at the back if they are going to survive leaving Santiago Bernabeu with a scoreline not in double figures.
60'
You have to feel a bit for Malmo here, as they are quite clearly miles apart from Real Madrid in terms of class, but with their domestic season having finished in October, they don't even have the benefit of being match fit! Not a good combination when competing against Ronaldo and co.
58'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Isco.
GOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLL FOR REAL MADRID! FOUR FOR RONALDO! The Portuguese displays a quite impeccable piece of movement inside the box and darts to the front post to direct an Isco pass perfectly into the bottom left corner! Fantastic! Six-nil!
Isco records yet another assist for Ronaldo this season after brilliantly dribbling his way to the byline before flashing a pass to the front post for his team-mate.
57'
This looks like the scoreline will simply be what Real Madrid want it to be. They have a few players out there who could benefit from racking up a few goals, and there will be no better opportunity to do it than against this Malmo defence!
55'
After being slightly upstaged by Ronaldo after scoring two in the first half, Benzema is now looking to claim his hat-trick and has plenty of time to do so. This time, the former Lyon striker manages to get in behind the Malmo defence to receive a looping pass to feet before lashing a low strike at goal on the half volley, but it ends up being slammed into the side-netting.
53'
Marcelo enters the game and replaces Pepe.
First change of the match from Real Madrid and it sees Pepe make way for Marcelo, who is given the captain's armband. This will likely see Arbeloa come in to play in the centre of defence alongside Nacho, with the Brazilian slotting in at left back.
52'
What a breathtaking start to the second half from Los Blancos! Rafa Benitez has clearly asked his side to come out after the break with a point to prove after their recent criticism, and indeed the controversy surrounding their Copa del Rey exit! Malmo just do no know what has hit them!
50'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Danilo.
GOOOAAAALLLL!!! GOOOAAAALLL FOR REAL MADRID! A HAT-TRICK FOR RONALDO! Malmo are sinking without a trace here and seem to have completely given up on defending! The Portuguese takes advantage to dance his way into the penalty area before lashing a strike under Wiland! Five-nil!
Assist Danilo Luiz da Silva
47'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
GOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! A NIGHTMARE START TO THE SECOND HALF FOR MALMO! Kovacic moves forward into an advanced are and smashes a strike at goal, which is blocked! Unfortunately for the visitors, the ball drops straight to the feet of Ronaldo, who emphatically finishes into the roof of the net! Four-nil! This is a hammering!
46'
V. Rodić enters the game and replaces N. Đurđić.
Substitution to report at the break fro Malmo as Djurdjic makes way for Vladimir Rodic.
We are back under way in this Champions League clash at Santiago Bernabeu!
43'
Even with three goals having went in, it is unlikely we will see much added time signaled by the referee as there haven't been too many stoppages. An easy half-time team talk it will be for Rafa Benitez regardless!
41'
OH WHAT A MISS FROM RONALDO! Madrid go fo the jugular once again with a pacey attack through the middle, with the ball eventually going to Benzema in the channel. He reverses a perfect pass into the box, and all the Portuguese has to do is tap home, but he ends up flashing a terrible finish at least six yards over the bar! You NEVER see him missing chances as easy as that! Still 0-0!
39'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
GOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALLLL FOR REAL MADRID! FURTHER MISERY ON MALMO! Ronaldo steps up for the free kick and lashes an outstanding strike over the wall and dipping into the far right corner! Definite questions raised with Wiland though - he didn't seem to move! Three-nil!
38'
Real Madrid win the wall quickly back in midfield to halt a potential Malmo counterattack and Arbeloa eventually collects possession down the left wing before cutting inside, in an attempt to find a pass into space. The hosts are given the free kick in a very useful position though as Tinnerholm commits the foul with a scything challenge.
36'
Wiland is called into action once again as Ronaldo pops up around 25 yards out and finds a bit of space before drilling a strike at goal aimed towards the left corner. It is further frustration for the Madrid man though as the Malmo keeper gets across goal to make the solid stop with his left hand.
34'
If Malmo are going to at least get a goal this evening, they must try and put some pressure on the Madrid defence, who up until now have had a stroll in the park. This is no better summed up than with a period of possession for Nacho, which saw the central defender move forward around 20 yards with no opposition whatsoever, with Berget just allowing him all the space in the world. Too easy for Los Blancos so far.
32'
Malmo are, admirably, reacting in the exact same way they did to the first goal with an encouraging portion of possession in those central areas. However, they aren't receiving too much resistance from Madrid, who are probably just recharging the batteries before they gallop forward in another attack looking for further goals.
30'
After missing that opportunity a few moments ago, Ronaldo is clearly hungry to get on the scoresheet now. This time, the Ballon d'Or winner collects possession on the edge of the box and swivels sharply before lashing a right-footed strike at goal, but it is straight down the throat of the grateful Wiland, who gets down to make the relatively comfortable stop.
28'
HOW DID RONALDO MISS THAT?! Isco receives the ball to feet in the inside left channel and skips past a couple of challenges before clipping a lovely cross into the area for the Portuguese, who glances a header horribly wide from not too far out! Normally, he gobbles up chances like that!
26'
That goal will be hard for Malmo to take as they were actually putting together a decent bit of offensive play before they were hit on the break by Madrid. It is highly doubtful that they will get anything out of this game now, but they should still be looking to put in a commendable performance.
24'
K. Benzema has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo looks to be in a giving mood tonight as he earns an assist with cracking cross to the back post for Benzema, after having played a vital part in the build up for the opener too!
GOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! AND ITS BENZEMA AGAIN! Ronaldo, who has popped up all over the place so far, collects the ball in the opposite byline from the opening goal and whips a superb cross to the back post, which the Frenchman bullets home after leaping high into the air! Two-nil!
22'
Well, this is the opposite of the commentator's curse at the moment as Malmo are starting to look a lot more confident in their passing in those central areas just a few minutes after it was mentioned that they were barely getting out of their own half!
20'
Just after saying that, the vistors manage to put together a nice little bit of play in the final third after bursting free from their own box. Yotun collects the ball in a deep position down the left touchline and teases a cross to the front post to meet the onrushing Rakip, but the eventual shot on goal is screwed north of the crossbar. Cause for optimism for Malmo after that move!
18'
Every player on the pitch apart from Casilla in the Real Madrid goal is camped inside the Malmo half at the moment, with the visitors really struggling to muster up any kind of meaningful possession in order to make their way up the field. Their danger men, Berget and Djurdjic, have barely managed to touch the ball up until now.
16'
Arbeloa, who is given a rare start this evening, attempts to get involved in the attacking action and gets into a useful area down the left wing and a penetrative run. He attempts to provide the same delivery that Ronaldo did for the goal with a cross from just near the byline, but on this occasion Malmo survive as Wiland comes off his line to claim out of the air.
14'
It is going to require a major performance and change in fortunes if Malmo are going to save their European season here, as as it stands, they will finish bottom of the group. With the way Real Madrid are playing, you would fancy them to get a few more goals.
12'
K. Benzema has scored a goal for Real Madrid!
GOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLL FOR REAL MADRID! LOS BLANCOS GET THE OPENER! Ronaldo does brilliantly to get to the byline and smash a wicked cross into the area, which sees Isco strike on goal! It is cleared off the line from Yotun but Benzema is on hand to pass into the empty net! One-nil!
11'
Perhaps predictably, Real Madrid have been bossing possession in these stages, and even though it is Malmo that need to win in order to qualify for the Europa League, it looks like they simply don't have the quality to hurt the home side.
9'
Danilo shows some decent attacking ambition to get down the right-hand side and stands a lovely cross to the back post for Ronaldo. The Portuguese attempts the spectacular overhead kick, though, which doesn't really connect well and ends up flashing wide of the left-hand post.
7'
Adu has been positioned effectively in front of the Malmo defence so far in an attempt to intercept any passes through into the feet of the Madrid attackers. The Ghanaian already has managed to stop a couple of balls to Ronaldo, whilst also distributing well into midfield. He'll need to keep this up if the home side are to be kept at bay!
5'
Ronaldo collects possession in the central area and turns sharply before sending a lovely pass down the right wing for Benzema. The Frenchman looks to return the favour with a lashes cross into the area for his team-mate, but Malmo just manage to clear before an attempt can be made on goal. Good start to the match from Los Blancos!
3'
We are only a couple of minutes into play, but already Wiland has been called into action between the sticks for Malmo. Benzema is the threat for Madrid as he cuts in from the left wing to send a strike towards the bottom corner, but in the end it is fairly routine for the keeper.
Real Madrid (4-3-3): Casilla; Danilo, Pepe, Nacho, Arbeloa; Casemiro, Kovacic, Isco; James, Ronaldo, Benzema.
TEAM NEWS...
The last clash between Real Madrid and Malmo was in Group A back in September, and was actually the first time in history the two teams faced each other in competitive action. Perhaps predictably, 10-time European Cup winners, Madrid, ran out comfortable 2-0 winners thanks to a double from Ronaldo. Age Hareide's charges have lost nine of their last 10 matches away from home in Europe, so the signs aren't pointing to an upset here at the Bernabeu.
Malmo were seen as the group minnows when the draw was made, and they have did little to shake off this tag, having claimed just three points and one solitary win in five games. That victory came in October and seen them defeat Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0 at home – a result which sees them still in contention for a Europa League place along with the Ukrainian outfit.
Madrid have yet to really catch fire so far this season in an attacking sense, mainly due to the fact that their potent attacking trio of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema haven't featured in too many games together. However, all three were on target in the weekend win over Getafe and there are signs they are getting back on form in their link-up.
Rafa Benitez has found himself come under increasing pressure since the comprehensive loss to Barcelona in the Clasico over a month ago, but things have been looking up in recent weeks as they have won four consecutive games. Their Champions League form is also cause for optimism, as they have already managed to achieve qualification to the knockout stages as group winners before tonight's clash against the Swedish side.
Los Blancos have endured a fairly tumultuous week, as their impressive 4-1 Spanish Primera Division win at the weekend over Getafe was preceded by some controversy surrounding the Copa del Rey. Madrid won 3-1 away to Cadiz in the Spanish Cup, but have been expelled from the competition for fielding an ineligible player, Denis Cheryshev, who was not registered for the tie. An appeal has been made on behalf of the capital club, but no matter the outcome they still face an extremely embarrassing situation and a potential title already unachieved before January.
Good evening football fans! Welcome to LIVE coverage of the Champions League Group A clash between Real Madrid and Malmo from Santiago Bernabeu!
The teams are making their way to the pitch and we almost ready for the Champions League theme and kick off!
Half time at the Santiago Bernabeu as the referee doesn't add a lot of time. It has been a walk in the park for Real Madrid so far as they go into the break 3-0 up against group minnows, Malmo. Benzema continues his good form with a couple of goals, whilst Ronaldo scores his first free kick in a long time with a strike from the left wing. Definitely more goals in this for Los Blancos!
Full time at Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid put in a performance of the highest order and take advantage of a poor Malmo side to record an emphatic 8-0 win in their last group stage game of the Champions League. Progression was already secured before the match, but the lack of pressure clearly presented the attacking players with an opportunity to prosper - which they took. Ronaldo netted four and Benzema got a hat-trick on the night, with Kovacic also getting on the scoresheet for his first Blancos goal. Thanks for joining us - hope you enjoyed the goalfest in the Spanish capital!
