Davies sends a throw-in back to Diet and the midfielder floats a delivery into the box. He puts too much on it, curling the ball comfortably within reach of Adrian. The Spaniard takes it in and falls to ground to soak up a few more seconds.
90' +1
We are into the first of four additional minutes. West Ham have a throw-in deep inside the opposition half but they don't send many forward as they look to avoid being exposed in the final moments.
90'
Davies drops to the deck after appearing to be caught by Antonio, but the referee signals for play to continue. Sakho races down the right and the recovering Alli bundles him over, conceding a cheap free-kick.
89'
A corner from Eriksen is diverted towards goal by a swarm of bodies at the near post. Adrian comes off his line and makes an important punch to send the ball away! It's going to be an anxious few minutes for West Ham!
88'
Davies fails to deal with a bouncing ball in the centre of the Tottenham half and Sakho knocks it on to Payet. The Frenchman has no support so goes for goal from in excess of 25 yards. He fails to beat the nearest white shirt, and Lloris mops up the ricochet to avoid conceding a corner.
86'
Cresswell advances down the left and earns a throw-in for his side. Bilic is pacing the dugout relentlessly, eager for his team to see out the win for a valuable three points. The former Ipswich Town full-back is back in possession when West Ham restart the play and wins his team a corner.
84'
D. Sakho enters the game and replaces M. Lanzini.
Sakho comes on for his first appearance since November, replacing Lanzini.
83'
Lanzini robs Tottenham of possession inside his own half and looks to counterattack with Payet down the right. The Argentine's pass is deflected out for a throw-in, and that could be his final involvement.
81'
West Ham are doing their best to try and stay compact in defence and limit the chances for Tottenham. Son chases a long ball towards the byline on the right and loops a cross back into the arms of Adrian. However, it had already gone out of play so play restarts with a goal-kick.
Minute
Description
79'
Alli attempts a long pass up towards by Kane but Oxford is on hand to cut it out and clear the danger away. Tom Carroll picks up possession but fails to find a team-mate, with Tottenham's attacking waves coming to an end with a throw-in.
77'
T. Carroll enters the game and replaces K. Wimmer.
Tom Carroll returns from an Achilles problem to replace Wimmer for the remainder.
75'
Alli is doing his best to spark something for Tottenham as we head into the final 15 minutes, but Adrian has still only had two saves to make all evening. The visitors just haven't threatened his goal enough, and they need to up their game to avoid passing up the change to move to the top of the table.
73'
A. Carroll enters the game and replaces E. Emenike.
Emenike's night comes to a premature close, with Andy Carroll taking his place. The Nigerian worked exceptionally hard this evening.
72'
Alderweireld almost pays the price for allowing the ball to bounce 20 yards from his own goal, with his attempt to clear only reaching Cresswell, who lashes a brilliant volley just too high of the target. The technique was brilliant there.
70'
Son Heung-Min enters the game and replaces É. Lamela.
Lamela has had a few bright moments but he makes way for Son with 20 minutes remaining.
68'
KANE! The striker has another great opportunity to find the net, but he is a fraction too late to Eriksen's cross from the right. The West Ham defence had missed it, but the England international was unable to steer the delivery on target at the back post!
66'
R. Oxford enters the game and replaces J. Collins.
Collins has picked up an injury and is subsequently replaced by Reece Oxford.
WHAT A CHANCE! Antonio could have had his second of the night there! It would have been the same combination as for the first goal, with Payet's brilliant set-piece delivery finding the goalscorer in space in the box. He stretches to make contact and can only divert the ball over the top.
65'
B. Davies gets yellow.
Davies is shown a yellow card for a foul on Antonio on West Ham's right.
64'
ERIKSEN! The Dane hits a powerful effort from an acute angle on the right-hand side of the box that Adrian stays on his feet to block! West Ham break forward and Wimmer is lucky to escape a red card, with his tug on Emenike coming after the Nigerian had already done the same to him.
63'
It's been all Tottenham in this second half, and the pressure is starting to grow on West Ham.
61'
D. Alli enters the game and replaces N. Chadli.
WHAT A SAVE! Alderweireld releases a low, stinging drive from 30 yards that skids towards the bottom-left corner. Adrian gets down and gets a hand to it, but can only parry it straight to Kane. The striker fails to make a clean connection, and as the ball loops up the goalkeeper and Kouyate do enough to see it out for a corner!
Chadli's disappointing night comes to an end, with Alli taking his place.
60'
West Ham have become a little bit scrappy in the last few minutes, with a number of errant touches creeping in. They need to be careful or they could end up losing their advantage.
58'
Alli is removing his tracksuit and looks set to enter the fray for the remaining 30 minutes or so. Tottenham could really use his dynamism here.
56'
A coruscating run from Lanzini sees him dribble into the box from the right before producing a cutback which finds its way to Obiang. The former Sampdoria midfielder strikes it first time and blazes a shot far over.
55'
Trippier is caught ball-watching at the back post and is beaten to a cross by a late run from Cresswell. The left-back sends his header down into the ground and wide, letting the right-back off the hook.
54'
Kouyate is unable to deal with a bouncing ball and Tottenham work the ball into the centre for Mason with a clever backheel from Lamela. The midfielder produces a powerful strike that is always serving away from the target and does not trouble Adrian.
53'
Despite Ogbonna's clear problems, no replacement is being prepared by Bilic. A cross from the right finds Lamela in space at the near post. He stoops to connect with a header that he can only send into the hoardings behind the goal.
51'
Eriksen and Lamela look to combine down the right but the Argentine's attempted return pass is cut out by Noble. West Ham break at speed, but Payet's cross-field ball cannot be controlled by Emenike, with the momentum of the move quickly lost.
49'
Ogbonna looks to be struggling with an injury here. The Italian is hobbling around on the left-hand side and Tottenham almost expose the issue, probing down that flank before a cross finds Davies 20 yards from goal. The Welshman slices across his shot and skews an effort harmlessly wide of the target.
48'
Lloris doesn't learn his lesson and is almost caught in possession by Emenike after controlling the ball inside his own box! Once again, though, he beats the Nigerian to it by the narrowest of margins. His clearance flies straight to Lanzini, but the Argentine is unable to control it well enough to release a quick shot on goal.
46'
We are back underway in east London!
45' +3
There is the half-time whistle!
45' +1
A defensive mix-up almost offers West Ham a chance to draw level! Lamela's cross from the left is only slightly flicked on by Collins at the near post, but he clearly didn't hear the call of Adrian who races off his line behind him. The goalkeeper goes flying through the air without making contact, but fortunately for the hosts they are able to scramble it clear.
45'
Lamela returns and there will be three minutes of added time. Ogbonna goes down with an audible yelp following a strong tackle by Mason, but the referee deemed it a legal one and allows play to continue.
44'
Lamela is ordered off to the sidelines by the referee for a change of shirt after the blow to the head he took earlier in the game has started bleeding again. The problem will no doubt get greater attention during the interval.
42'
JUST WIDE! Payet has been superb so far this evening, and he cuts in from the left and onto his right foot. He attempts to curl a shot inside the far post, but a deflection completely wrongfoots Lloris and almost sess it sneak in on the opposite side!
41'
K. Wimmer gets yellow.
Both Tottenham centre-backs are now in the book, with Wimmer shown a yellow card for sending Emenike tumbling as he looked to latch onto a long ball. Had that been closer to goal it could have been a red for denying a goalscoring opportunity.
40'
The referee gives Kouyate and Lamela a talking to following a coming together near the half-way line on the right-hand side of the pitch. The Senegalese was caught by a late challenge from the former Roma man, and as he got up to appeal to the referee he brushed the West Ham man's head with his knee. The defender got up and looked intent on confronting the Argentine, but his team-mates intervene and stop him in his tracks!
38'
Payet is oozing confidence! A no-look pass from the Frenchman is meant to feed Emenike, but the Nigerian is beaten to the ball by Wimmer, who concedes a corner. It's taken short and this time the former Marseille man's delivery is too deep.
36'
CHANCE! Payet cuts the ball back to Noble 20 yards out in a central position, but his effort is blocked by Alderweireld. The ricochet falls straight to the West Ham captain, who rolls possession on to Antonio on the right-hand side of the box. The goalscorer cuts inside but his left-footed effort, too, is kept out by a white shirt.
34'
Mason appears to be struggling with injury and walks to the sidelines accompanied by a member of the Tottenham medical staff. However, within seconds of play restarting he jogs back onto the pitch and slots back into midfield.
33'
West Ham probe down both the left and right flanks within the space of one minute, but neither attack proves fruitful. Noble tries to arrow a pass to the byline for the run of Kouyate, but it's overhit and the Senegalese has no chance of catching it.
31'
Payet goes for goal from direct from the free-kick, but it lacks the requisite power to beat a goalkeeper of Lloris' stature from such a distance. The ball bounces in the box and is held comfortably by the Tottenham shot-stopper.
30'
T. Alderweireld gets yellow.
Alderweireld is shown the game's first yellow card for a trip on Payet after the Frenchman skipped beyond him in a central position, 30 yards from goal.
29'
Almost a nightmare moment for Lloris! Trippier's pass back towards him bobbles up and the Frenchman's first touch is heavy. Emenike is once again relentless in chasing possession and is narrowly beaten to it by the Tottenham goalkeeper! That was a lucky escape.
28'
Much of the possession is now with Tottenham, who have enjoyed comfortably over 65 per cent of the ball so far this evening. Kane hasn't seen much of it, though, and the visitors are coming under pressure from long, counterattacking passes from West Ham.
26'
Ogbonna bursts out from defence and lays a pass out to the left for Payet before surging into the box. The Frenchman throws a number of stepovers at Trippier in attempt to hold up the play before darting to the byline and drilling in a cross. However, the former Burnley right-back isn't fooled and makes an important interception which ricochets off the West Ham forward before going out for a goal-kick.
24'
Tottenham are lacking fluidity in the final third, with Eriksen the latest player to send a stray pass into touch. If they continue to play in this manner it is unlikely they will pick up a seventh straight league victory, a feat they have not achieved since 1967.
22'
Lanzini produces a brilliant moment of skill, controlling the ball on his chest with his back to goal before looping it over the head of an approaching defender and spinning in behind. However, he is tackled by the next Tottenham defender and his claims for a penalty are ignored by referee Andre Marriner.
20'
Dier is caught in possession 25 yards from his own goal, but Obiang is unable to take advantage and feed Emenike. Tottenham mount a rapid counterattack but a poor pass from Chadli sees the ball roll out for a goal-kick. Another disappointing contribution from the Belgian winger.
18'
Alderweireld clips a long ball over the top of the West Ham defence, looking to release Kane in behind. However, the striker, sporting a face mask once again this evening, was standing idle in an offside position when the Belgian hit his pass.
16'
Lamela has indeed returned to the pitch, and with no sign of any bandaging, so the cut he sustained clearly couldn't have been too serious.
15'
WHAT A SAVE! Noble pulls the trigger with a stinging 25-yard drive that looks set to fly into the top-right corner. Lloris leaps across his goal and gets two hands to the ball, parrying it behind for a corner! Great work from the Frenchman.
14'
Lamela has to go off for treatment after a clash of heads with Cresswell has left him bleeding. He seems fine in himself, though, so should return to the action soon.
13'
Antonio is playing rather deep at times, with West Ham appearing to have a three-man defence at points. Kouyate, Collins and Ogbonna are sitting back, allowing the goalscorer and Cresswell greater freedom on the wings.
11'
West Ham have started brilliantly and will be hopeful of continuing their impressive recent form by holding onto this lead. Tottenham are yet to trouble Adrian in the opposition goal, with the Spaniard enjoying a relatively quiet night so far.
9'
Tottenham have come from behind to claim 17 points in the Premier League this season, more than any other side. They're going to have to do so again this evening following Antonio's brilliant opener.
7'
M. Antonio has scored a goal for West Ham United! Assist by D. Payet.
GOOOOOOOAAAAL!!! ANTONIO IS ON TARGET AGAIN! The forward gets in front of Chadli with a run to the near post and connects with Payet's corner first. He powers a header towards the near post and, despite getting a hand to the effort, Lloris is unable to stop it hitting the back of the net!
Another display of Payet's brilliance from dead-ball situations, there. An exquisite delivery was headed home by Antonio, but Lanzini also deserves credit for chasing down Chadli's stray pass to earn the corner initially.
5'
Kouyate makes a brilliant defensive header, stopping Kane from connecting with a low, whipped cross by Eriksen from the right. The centre-back stuck close to the Tottenham striker and got plenty on his clearance to send it away from danger. It was a good move from the visitors to release the Dane down the wing beforehand.
4'
West Ham are enjoying a large amount of possession in the early stages, with Tottenham already giving the ball away a couple of times inside their own half. The visitors are awarded a free-kick following an offside decision against Emenike, so Alderweireld opts to take it short and enable the visitors to get a series of touches.
2'
Lamela shows his intentions to track back and help defend right from the off, but he cannot stop Cresswell wriggling away from Trippier and earning a free-kick near the corner flag. Payet whips the set-piece into the centre of the box but Lloris races off his line and finds a route through a host of bodies to punch it to safety.
1'
We are underway at Upton Park!
West Ham, however, will be hoping for another three points in order to aid a potential bid for Champions League football next season. Slaven Bilic's team sit just four points adrift of Manchester City - who face Liverpool this evening - in fourth position, and, although Manuel Pellegrini's men have a game in hand, they will surely be harbouring hopes of breaking into the top four in the coming weeks.
WEST HAM TEAM NEWS: With Sam Byram suspended and Carl Jenkinson absent through injury, James Collins moves to right-back with Cheikhou Kouyate filling in at centre-back alongside Angelo Ogbonna. Pedro Obiang comes into midfield, but the front free of Michail Antonio, Emmanuel Emenike and Dmitri Payet is retained by Bilic.
Hello and welcome to this evening's LIVE commentary as West Ham entertain Premier League title hopefuls Tottenham at Upton Park. Mauricio Pochettino's side can move to the summit of the top-flight with three points tonight, but to do it they will have to overcome a side that has lost just twice in its last 18 outings in all competitions.
Following Leicester City's 2-2 draw with West Brom last night, top spot is tantalisingly close for Tottenham. They've not led the top flight in the second half of a season since January 1985, so can they provide Pochettino with a 44th birthday to remember by moving ahead of the rest of the pack? Their advantage over Claudio Ranieri's team would only be on goal difference, though.
WEST HAM SUBSTITUTES: Randolph, Henry, Dobson, Oxford, Song, Sakho, Carroll.
WEST HAM (4-3-3): Adrian; Collins, Kouyate, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Noble, Obiang, Lanzini; Antonio, Emenike, Payet.
TOTTENHAM SUBSTITUTES: Vorm, Onomah, Walker, Rose, Carroll, Alli, Son.
Harry Kane and Antonio could be the key players on either side tonight. The Tottenham striker has been involved in four goals in as many Premier League appearances against tonight's opponents, scoring three and assisting one, while the West Ham forward has netted four times and laid on one in his last five top-flight appearances at Upton Park.
TOTTENHAM TEAM NEWS: Dele Alli is the most notable absentee from the starting line-up for the visitors with an ankle problem consigning him to the bench - Ryan Mason has the task of filling the impressive young midfielder’s boots. Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies take up the full-back positions with Kyle Walker and Danny Rose on the bench, and the only other change sees Son Heung-min make way for Nacer Chadli.
We're just a few moments away from kick off in this London derby!
HALF-TIME - West Ham 1-0 Tottenham: Bilic's side take a slender lead into the interval after an impressive, attacking display in the opening 45 minutes. Antonio headed home from a Payet corner after just seven minutes to give his side the lead, hitting the back of the net for the fourth successive home match. The Frenchman has played a key role in all of the hosts' brightest moments, while Pochettino's side have looked bereft of creativity and energy despite having the chance to go top of the table with a win. Stay tuned for the second half!
FULL TIME - West Ham 1-0 Tottenham: Pochettino's men miss the chance to go top of the Premier League, slipping up at Upton Park and losing to a seventh-minute strike from Antonio, with the only consolation that Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat against Swansea City. With Manchester City losing 3-0 at Liverpool, Bilic's side are now just one point away from the Champions League places. Things are becoming increasingly tight at the summit, but Leicester retain their three-point advantage for now.
That's all for this evening. Thanks for joining me, and have a great night.
