E. Dier has scored a goal for England! Assist by J. Henderson.
DIER SURELY WINS IT FOR ENGLAND! That's inexcusable from a German standpoint! Schurrle is inexplicably left marking Dier, and he's no match for the towering midfielder who is easily able to get on the end of Henderson's corner and head home the likely winning goal!
90'
Into the first of three added minutes and England win themselves a corner as Rudiger is forced into an acrobatic clearing header.
89'
Approaching full-time now and the stage is set for a hero to step forward. Germany have been uncharacteristically sloppy in the last half hour, but they've turned it on a bit now as both sides try and mount a final push for a winning goal.
87'
He has to pick out a better pass! Germany spring forward with their first attack in seemingly ages, and Schurrle finds all sorts of space in the right channel. The Wolfsburg forward breaks into the area but forgoes a shooting opportunity, instead chipping a cross towards the far post where no one is waiting on the end of it!
85'
SHOCKING STUFF FROM ALLI! That's truly unbelievable! Vardy is proving an absolute menace, winning the ball high up the pitch, charging into the area and serving the ball up on a platter for Alli who misses the net completely with the goal gaping! That was an absolute sitter!
83'
STAT: England have lost each of the last two meetings with Germany - a 4-1 defeat in a last-16 clash in the 2010 World Cup and a 1-0 defeat in a friendly in November 2013.
81'
E. Dier gets yellow.
Dier with a cynical trip in midfield and there was really no need for that, but he commits the foul and goes into the referee's book.
79'
M. Götze enters the game and replaces M. Gómez.
Another change for Germany as their goal-scorer Mario Gomez is replaced by his namesake Mario Gotze.
77'
This has turned into an exceptional second half and it's perfectly poised for the final 10 minutes! England remain on the front foot as the world champions appear a bit stunned by these sudden turn of events!
Minute
Description
75'
J. Vardy has scored a goal for England! Assist by N. Clyne.
Ł. Podolski enters the game and replaces T. Müller.
VARDY'S PARTY CONTINUES! It's truly stunning from the Leicester striker! He says to Kane, "anything you can do, I can do better!" Vardy is shadowed by Rudiger as he runs towards the near post to meet Clyne's cross, but somehow is able to flick a sensational finish past Neuer! It's an incredible piece of skill from the forward who has his first international goal!
Good spot by Clyne who picks up the assist.
Thomas Muller is replaced by Lukas Podolski as Germany make their third change.
73'
STAT: Germany’s last five friendlies on home soil have seen a total of 24 goals, nearly five per match. They have scored 13 times and conceded 11.
71'
J. Vardy enters the game and replaces D. Welbeck.
R. Barkley enters the game and replaces A. Lallana.
The Three Lions make their first change as Jamie Vardy comes on for his fifth cap, replacing Welbeck.
68'
STUNNING SAVE FROM NEUER! It's a brilliant build-up from England as some intricate passing sees them breakdown the Germany defence. The ball is played through for Welbeck, who lets it run for Alli, but the Spurs midfielder is denied by a terrific kick-save from Neuer!
66'
England have new life about them now, back on the front foot and keen to restore parity. The world champions have become complacent since opening their two-goal lead and need to get their rhythm back before they're punished.
64'
A. Schürrle enters the game and replaces M. Reus.
Andre Schurrle is introduced here with Marco Reus giving way, the second change of the night for the Germans.
63'
STAT: England are winless in each of their last three friendlies away from home, scoring just a single goal in those matches (D2, L1).
61'
H. Kane has scored a goal for England!
ENGLAND BACK TO WITHIN ONE! Germany fail to clear their lines following a corner and Kane is able to pounce, change direction and place a shot in at the far post through the legs of Can. It's a wonderful individual effort from the Spurs striker!
59'
England need to dig deep within themselves to try and find an equaliser. They've been just as good as Germany throughout, but the ruthless efficiency of the world champions has proved the difference as we reach the hour mark.
57'
M. Gómez has scored a goal for Germany! Assist by S. Khedira.
THE WORLD CHAMPIONS DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! England's lack of composure in front of goal is punished as the clinical Germans widen the gap! Khedira drops a sensational delivery in at the far post for Gomez who rises above Cahill to head home after being denied his goal by a wrongful offside flag in the first half.
Delightful assist from Khedira who placed that ball on the head of Gomez.
56'
HE HAD TO SCORE THERE! Can gives Welbeck a gift as he's dispossessed far too easily at the byline. The Arsenal forward walks into the area and squares for Henderson, but the Liverpool midfielder is denied his first international goal by a terrific block from Hector!
54'
WONDERFUL STRIKE! Alli tries his luck from distance and makes excellent contact with his effort, forcing Neuer into a diving save to keep his side in front. He made it look such an easy save in the end, but that was really well hit by Alli in the end.
52'
STAT: England haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last six meetings with Germany (W2, L4), conceding 10 goals - a run which has extended to seven games with Kroos' first-half strike.
50'
FORSTER CALLED INTO ACTION! Reus drops a delightful free-kick behind the defence, which winds up running through on goal untouched. Forster has to react quickly, diving to his left to knock the ball over the bar off the bounce.
48'
Very slow start to this second half as possession exchanges hands on a couple of occasions, with the ball contained largely in midfield. There's really no tempo to be found, as the match picks up where it left off in the first half.
46'
J. Tah enters the game and replaces M. Hummels.
Bayer Leverkusen centre-half Jonathan Tah is introduced at the interval, set to make his first appearance for the national team. Hummels is the one to give way.
Back underway in Berlin!
45' +2
HALF-TIME: GERMANY 1-0 ENGLAND.
45' +1
F. Forster enters the game and replaces J. Butland.
Fraser Forster replaces Butland as the first half is set to come to an end.
45'
Butland is clearly unable to continue and a tear or two can be spotted trickling down his cheek as he's going to be forced off here. The keeper strained his leg on a clearance and you have to assume he would have made the save had he not picked up the knock. In any case, it appears an ominous one for the Stoke City keeper, who is very emotional as the stretcher has to be brought on to carry him off the pitch.
43'
T. Kroos has scored a goal for Germany! Assist by M. Özil.
BUTLAND BEATEN AND GERMANY LEAD! Kroos picks up the ball in midfield and skips forward. With England backing off he decides to have a speculative strike at goal, which he strikes brilliantly, and it sneaks in at the near post! Butland is furious with himself for not keeping that out, but he was clearly injured just a minute earlier.
Ozil is credited with the assist, picking out the Real Madrid midfielder in space.
41'
STAT: England have won each of their last two visits to Germany, 5-1 win in a 2001 World Cup qualifier and a 2-1 friendly victory in 2008.
39'
E. Can gets yellow.
There have been more than a few bookable offenses in this first half, though being a friendly the referee hasn't seen the need to show a card. As the tackles continue to come flying in, however, he decides to take action as Can becomes the first player booked.
37'
OUTSTANDING CHALLENGE! Kane sends a pass across the top of the box to Welbeck, who found himself in a ton of space. The forward thinks he has all day to shoot, which allows Hector to come flying in from the flank to provide cover and turn the shot aside, before Lallana lifts the follow-up over the bar.
35'
A decent spell in possession for Germany comes to an end as Ozil strays needlessly offside, as a few audible groans can be heard scattered throughout the stadium for the first time of the night. These fans came for a show and they haven't been treated to one yet.
33'
We're approaching the final 10 minutes of the first half and it has been surprisingly uneventful. Both teams are committed to defending, unwilling to take their chances going forward, despite the friendly nature of the match. It may be classified as a friendly, but these sides are approaching it like there's something on the line.
31'
Tottenham team-mates Alli and Kane link up, as England appear eager to get back on the front foot after the scare. The Spurs striker is able to peel away from Hector and get on the end of his first chance of the night, but skews his shot horribly wide in the end.
29'
STAT: England have kept clean sheets in five of their last six matches (W5, L1), conceding only in a 2-0 friendly defeat to Spain in November.
27'
GERMANY TAKE THE LEAD.... BUT IT'S WRONGFULLY DISALLOWED! Gomez is played through on goal and finishes the move off with a dignified finish across Butland. The flag goes up late for offside, but it's the incorrect decision as Clyne was playing the Besiktas striker on by at least a foot!
25'
England are getting into some excellent positions in attack, and they've got Germany on their heels at the moment. The hosts squander a few opportunities to break out of their own end and it nearly proves costly. The Three Lions are starting to click in attack, though Kane has hardly made an impact as of yet.
23'
Germany are struggling to create much of anything in the final third. There's a good width about them, with Can and Hector eager to bomb forward, but England have so many bodies back behind the ball and are keeping their shape very well, which has made it increasingly difficult on the hosts to find any adequate end product.
21'
Has to be better! Lallana does well to press and win the ball in an advanced position, before laying it off for Welbeck. The forward cuts inside and picks out the run of Clyne, who tries to pull it back into the area for his Liverpool team-mate, but it's behind Lallana in the end as the chance goes begging.
19'
STAT: Germany have lost back-to-back friendlies for the first time since 2012. The last time they lost three in a row was in 1940.
17'
LIFTED OVER! Can does well to pick out Welbeck on the left, and the Arsenal forward tees it up for his north London rival Alli. The Tottenham midfielder strikes it first time, and connects well, but it was always rising as it never really threatened to force Neuer into action.
15'
Butland comes off his line bravely to make a sharp save to deny Hummels from a set-piece. England break the other way and a nifty ball over the top from Cahill finds Alli, but the midfielder lacks the presence of mind to bring it down, instead sending an ambitious header at goal from the top of the box - nothing to trouble Neuer.
13'
That's the threat he poses! Gomez thrives of crosses like those. Can sends in the latest delivery from the right and Gomez is able to hang in the air for seemingly ages, above two England defenders, but his header deflects behind of Clyne.
11'
Alli makes a clever diagonal run towards the corner flag, but the ball over the top from Rose has too much power behind it as it runs behind for a goal-kick. There isn't the greatest tempo to this match early on, with both teams keen on taking a more patient approach in possession.
9'
STAT: Roy Hodgson’s England were the only nation to finish the qualifying phase for the 2016 European Championships with a 100 per cent record.
7'
DECENT CHANCE! England win a cheap corner as an untidy touch from Reus sends the ball behind. Cahill rises to meet the ensuing delivery, and he's usually so strong in the air, but he sends a free header wide of the mark this time around as the opportunity goes begging.
Substitution Adam Lallana
5'
Germany have settled in nicely and are keeping the bulk of possession, as they do so well. England are dropping numbers deep when the hosts do press forward, keen to make the world champions play through them while waiting for their opportunities on the break.
3'
Positive start from England who have shown a much greater desire to get forward and test the German back line. The hosts are made to wait for their first attack, but their maiden foray generates a good chance as Khedira's strike is deflected over the bar by a strong tackle from Clyne.
1'
And we're off! Germany in their dark grey tops with England sporting red kits with blue socks.
Hello and welcome to live coverage from the Olympiastadion in Berlin as Germany play host to England in a tantalising friendly match. Die Mannschaft had a rocky end to the qualifying phase, needing a slender 2-1 victory over Georgia in their final match to top their group, after losing their penultimate fixture in Ireland. Their last game was a hallowing friendly against France in November, marred by the tragic Paris attacks which tragically struck the French capital that same night. Their match against the Netherlands a few days later was cancelled due to the looming threat of another senseless act of violence and the reigning world champions have been idle ever since. Tonight Germany hit the reset button, putting the past behind them and looking ahead as they begin preparations for the 2016 European Championships.
England breezed through their qualifying group unscathed, but came back to earth a bit as Spain saw them aside comfortably in a November friendly in Alicante. They rebounded nicely a few days later in a 2-0 victory over France at Wembley, and return to action for the first time tonight in a match against the world champions which should serve as an excellent measuring stick regarding where the Three Lions sit ahead of this summer’s European Championships. It has been a season full of excitement in the Premier League, and those same sentiments seem to have translated to the national team, as they currently play through one of their best runs of form in recent memory.
Joachim Low has chosen Mario Gomez to lead the line for the world champions tonight, with the striker in the midst of an impressive season in Turkey that has seen him score 21 times for Besiktas. Mesut Ozil starts in the hole behind him, and will be up against plenty of familiar faces, including teammate Danny Welbeck, while Thomas Muller and Marco Reus provide support on the flanks. Real Madrid's Toni Kroos and Juventus' Sami Khedira are midfield partners, providing cover for a back line lacking experience. Mats Hummels has an abundance of caps under his belt, but Roma centre-half Antonio Rudiger and wing-backs Emre Can and Jonas Hector are all relative newcomers to the national team. Manuel Neuer gets the call in goal.
There are few surprises in the England team, set to be captained by Gary Cahill in the absence of usual skipper Wayne Rooney. Jack Butland starts in goal, earning just his fourth cap, while Chris Smalling, Nathaniel Clyne and Danny Rose - making his England debut - join the Chelsea centre-half in completing the back four. Jordan Henderson, going up against team-mate Emre Can, partners Eric Dier in midfield. In attack it's Harry Kane who leads the line, flanked by Danny Welbeck and Adam Lallana, with Dele Alli in the number 10 role - one of four Tottenham players in the starting line-up. Roy Hodgson hasn't shown any love for Premier League leaders Leicester, with both Danny Drinkwater and Jamie Vardy on the bench.
A stirring rendition of God Save The Queen and the Deutschlandlied echo through a packed house in Berlin, as we get set for kick-off in the German capital!
A warmly received minute of silence is observed to pay respect to the lives tragically lost in the Brussels attacks this past week. It hits close to home for these players, all of whom have undoubtedly played in, or with someone from, the Belgian capital.
Germany lead at the end of a fairly even first half in Berlin through Toni Kroos, after Mario Gomez was denied what should have been the opener by a mistaken offside flag after 27 minutes. The Real Madrid midfielder's effort beat the injured Butland at the near post in what was to be the Stoke City keeper's last action of the night. England have pushed their star power around as well in attack, but have little to show for it as Neuer remained largely untroubled.
That's all for our live coverage from Berlin, thanks for following along. Good bye!
Eric Dier completes the remarkable turnaround as Roy Hodgson's side come from two-goals down to win a third-successive match on German soil. Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy scored the others to pull England level after Toni Kroos and Mario Gomez gave the host what appeared to be a comfortable lead shortly into the second half. It's a morale-boosting victory for the Three Lions as they see aside the world champions in a tune-up for this summer's Euro.
