LATE OPPORTUNITY FOR TOTTENHAM! Rose suddenly pounces on the ball inside the Liverpool area, and has Chadli peeling away at the back post to latch onto his eventual cross, but it's cleared away!
90' +3
J. Ibe enters the game and replaces J. Milner.
OFF THE MARK! From a corner, Alderweireld pops up at the near post with a charging run, but plants a header about a foot wide! A late surge from Tottenham in stoppage time, but it doesn't look like it will be enough to secure all three points.
Late change as Milner is on for Ibe.
90' +2
SAVE BY MIGNOLET! Dembele shows good poise on the ball as he weighs up his options at the top of the box, before sneaking a low effort on target that needs a strong hand from the Belgian keeper to divert it around the post!
90'
Into the 90th minute at Anfield, and Spurs have a free-kick in shooting range. Eriksen stands over it, but bends the ball off the mark. Looks like we will have three minutes of stoppage time to end this.
88'
R. Mason enters the game and replaces D. Alli.
Alli hasn't had the greatest of games, not able to stamp his authority in the midfield battle in his usual manner. He looks disappointed as he trudges off to be replaced by Mason.
86'
INCHES WIDE OF THE BOTTOM CORNER! Origi attacks down the left-hand side this time, and feints away from the byline, laying the ball off for Coutinho to strike, but the Brazilian angles it the wrong side of the post!
84'
Can, already on a yellow, gets involved in a tussle with Alli, and the referee blows the whistle. However, it's to call a foul against Tottenham, after momentary panic from the Liverpool fans.
82'
J. Allen enters the game and replaces A. Lallana.
Klopp makes another change, with Lallana taken off for Allen.
Rose took the brunt of a challenge that the referee allowed to stand, and he still looks to be discombobulated as he attempts to shake it off and see out the remainder of this game. Eight minutes left.
80'
Origi does well to get the better of Wimmer, but Dier comes across to cover for his centre-back. The England international is able to block the ensuing cross and gets a pat on the back from Lloris.
78'
No one is leaving Anfield early, that's for sure. There's definitely still a chance or two left in this game, but it's anyone's guess which side it will fall to. It's been such an even and entertaining match.
Minute
Description
76'
The ever-influential Coutinho nearly pings another teasing delivery into the area, but Walker is there this time to block the ball out for a corner, which Liverpool can't make anything of.
74'
Leicester and Arsenal will be watching this second half with great interest. If this result holds, Spurs will stay second - with four points separating them from the Foxes in first, and the Gunners in third.
72'
D. Origi enters the game and replaces D. Sturridge.
Sturridge's race is run, and he doesn't look too happy to be leaving the game this early, despite his match fitness still not at an optimal level. Origi will be the man to replace him.
70'
Liverpool have gone right back into the ascendancy since conceding that equaliser. It's keeping with the end-to-end nature of this game, where both sides have traded spells of dominance.
68'
SOMEHOW IT STAYS OUT! Coutinho pulls the strings once again, making space for himself down the left side ot the area, before lashing a dangerous cross almost on the goal-line, which doesn't get a touch from an attacker or a defender and goes out on the other side!
66'
N. Chadli enters the game and replaces Son Heung-Min.
Son will jog off to be replaced by Chadli in the first change of the game from either manager.
MIGNOLET SAVES IT! Liverpool back off Eriksen, who accepts the invitation to shoot from the edge of the area. However, the Belgian goalkeeper positioned himself well to deny the playmaker.
64'
E. Can gets yellow.
Can is guilty of a clumsy foul in the middle of the park, and the referee calls him over to award him a yellow card - his 10th of the season - meaning that he misses the next match.
63'
H. Kane has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by C. Eriksen.
The ball looked to be heading out for a goal-kick, but the Dane somehow kept it alive.
LOVELY STRIKE FROM KANE! Eriksen does excellently to keep play alive down the left, and he squeezes a pass into the striker, who turns goalside of Lovren with his first touch, and buries the finish with his second!
61'
Both teams continue to attack, and you get the feeling that the scoring is not quite done. Liverpool continue to poke holes in the Spurs ranks, but the visitors have also looked capable on the break.
59'
NEARLY A SPECTACULAR LEVELLER! Son attacks the ball with a vicious volley, but he gets a little too much venom behind it and can't find the target. That would have been special had it gone in!
57'
OVER THE BAR! That wa a massive chance for the Reds, and it's Coutinho pulling the strings once again. The Brazilian swings in a lovely cross to the back post for Sturridge to attack with a crashing header, but he can't keep it down!
55'
Alli somehow keeps a hold of the ball under pressure, and he lets fly with a dipping attempt that takes a deflection and bounces just over the bar. Spurs can't do anything with the resulting corner though.
53'
Well you can't call this goal a huge surprise. Lloris has had a lot more work to do than Mignolet, and Liverpool have slowly been in the ascendancy since the midway point of the opening half.
51'
Philippe Coutinho has scored a goal for Liverpool! Assist by D. Sturridge.
Good return pass from Sturridge to fool the defence.
COUTINHO OPENS THE SCORING! The Brazilian starts and finishes a one-two with Sturridge, easing past Dier and placing a splendid first-time effort into the bottom corner to beat Lloris!
50'
Walker gets involved in the final third as he drifts to the right, before hanging a tricky cross into the six-yard area, only to see it plucked away from Kane by Mignolet, who showed safe hands.
48'
Some scrappy play to start the second half as both sides try to force a frantic tempo, but a lack of composure in passing sees possession change hands a few times in the middle of the park.
46'
Off we go again.
45'
Alli lets one rip from long range, but it doesn't have the power to beat Mignolet, who gets down low to smother it. It looks like we'll be heading into the half-time break without an opener.
43'
Chances at either end of the field in what has been an absorbing first-half. There's been a fair number of mistakes at the back from both teams though - and you get the sense that it may be an error that results in the opener.
41'
CLAWED AWAY! Lallana attacks a loose ball inside the six-yard area with a mis-hit bouncing half-volley. However, it suddenly appears to be sneaking in under the crossbar, only for Lloris to stick out a hand to drag it away from his net!
39'
SHAMBLES! Sakho wobbles at the back twice in quick succession to allow a pair of Spurs counter-attacks deep in the final third. The first attempt is blocked by Lovren, and the second is poorly executed by the visitors.
37'
ANOTHER CHANCE FOR LIVERPOOL! The Reds are starting to stamp their authority on this match as they find their way into the Tottenham area once again, with Coutinho feeding Lallana, who found the same fate as Sturridge moments earlier as he was thwarted by Lloris.
35'
BIG SAVE BY LLORIS TO REPEL STURRIDGE! Can wins the ball well in the Spurs half, and he slides a great pass into the area for the striker, who you would expect to bury it, but he's denied by the quick-thinking keeper!
33'
Rose hooks a ball into the area which Alli flicks into the path of the onrushing Kane down the left. You could tell that the striker wanted to crack that first time on the half-volley, but the bounce did not fall kindly for him. Instead, he bundles over it in his attempt to hook a cross back to Alli.
31'
There's a nippy, end-to-end tempo to this game, with gaps appearing when both teams choose to attack. Lloris has been the busier goalkeeper, but you would still give Spurs the edge so far in the first half.
29'
Dier spots Son making a darting run behind Moreno, and chips in a teasing ball that the Spaniard just about deals with, heading it back into the safe arms of Mignolet. That was closer than it looked!
27'
PENALTY? Most of the fans seem to think there was a spot-kick after a confusing signal from the referee following a challenge on Milner in the area by Walker. However, it was a legal tackle, and it appears that the referee awarded a goal-kick instead.
25'
WIDE OF THE MARK! It all started with a commanding challenge from Walker to break up a Liverpool attack and within seconds, Spurs are down at the other end of the pitch. Kane strides into the area, and lashes an effort across the face of goal!
24'
Philippe Coutinho gets yellow.
Coutinho appeared to be brought down by Alderweireld, but he fell theatrically, and the referee books him for simulation.
23'
Lloris is called into action again, although this time it's to stop an inadvertent shot from one of his own players. Son's attempted clearance headed on target instead, necessitating an intervention from the French keeper.
21'
There's a breakdown in communication between Mignolet and Lovren, with the defender appearing to let the ball run through for his keeper, only for Kane to nearly nip in to steal possession.
19'
There is not a whole lot of goalmouth action at the moment, with the game starting to become bogged down in midfield. It's here where Tottenham will fancy their chances of winning the ball and turning it into an attack quickly.
17'
Son takes one for the team by bringing down Moreno on the left-hand side, leading to a Liverpool free-kick. However, the full-back can't pick out a team-mate with his delivery as Lloris swallows it at the back post.
15'
Spurs are applying notable pressure all the way from the front with Kane. It's proving effective at the moment, although there is a little space in between the defence and the midfield two of Dembele and Dier during certain moments.
13'
Both sides have now had good spells in the final third, and if it keeps going like this, we may see the opening goal before long. It also appears that the referee will have a busy evening ahead of him with some interesting individual battles already shaping up.
11'
Milner is found inside the area, and has space to shoot despite a heavy first touch. However, Wimmer is in position to make a vital block. Liverpool keep it alive, and Coutinho tries his luck from 25 yards, but it's smothered down low by Lloris.
9'
There's a chance for Liverpool to hit back down at the other end, with Lallana attacking towards the byline, but his cut-back into the area is intercepted by the defence before Coutinho can pounce at the near post.
7'
Tottenham force the first chance of the game to signify their growing dominance, as Eriksen is found by Rose inside the area, and hammers an effort on goal that draws a solid stop from Mignolet.
5'
Spurs are controlling this match early on, showing good poise on the ball in the centre of the park, and biding their time to find the forward passes that would really open up Liverpool.
3'
Good start to this one by Tottenham, who have disrupted Liverpool in the middle of the park and come close to breaking through on goal themselves. A massive game for the visitors in terms of their title ambitions.
1'
We're off!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Premier League match between Liverpool and Tottenham at Anfield. Second-place Spurs visit the 10th-place Reds in a match which harbours massive implications for the race for the title and for European football. Stick with us for all the action.
Tottenham have Leicester in their sights with a five-point gap to make up in the remaining seven games. Mauricio Pochettino's men are at once the league's best attacking and defensive side, scoring the most goals and conceding the least. However, a recent humbling at the hands of Borussia Dortmund sent them crashing out of the Europa League, in a match that probably said something about the state of the Premier League this season.
Liverpool were on a high in March, winning 3-0 against Manchester City and disposing of rivals Manchester United 4-1 over two legs in the Europa League. However, a 3-2 reverse at Southampton before the international break brought them crashing back down to earth. Jurgen Klopp's men are in 10th place, seven points off fifth place, although they have two games in hand on most of their rivals.
Klopp's first game in charge of Liverpool was the reverse fixture in October, which finished goalless. That ended a streak of five straight wins for the Reds against Spurs in Premier League action. In fact, Tottenham have failed to score in four of their last five top-flight meetings with the Merseysiders.
Liverpool subs: Ward, Smith, Skrtel, Ibe, Origi, Allen, Toure.
Tottenham subs: Vorm, Mason, Trippier, Chadli, Onomah, Carroll, Davies.
Roberto Firmino misses out again with his troublesome hamstring for the home side. James Milner and Jordan Henderson have been recalled to the side, while Alberto Moreno is also fit enough to start tonight after struggling with a thigh complaint of his own.
Erik Lamela will play no part in this fixture due to injury, meaning that Heung-Min Son has been chosen to replace him in the starting XI. It's otherwise the same team that beat Bournemouth 3-0, as Pochettino has been pretty consistent with his preferred line-up this season.
And that will do it for now from Anfield, with no goals between Liverpool and Tottenham. It's not been for a lack of trying, with opportunities at either end, and Lloris in particular a busy man this evening. At this rate, it shouldn't stay goalless for long. There's a whole lot to look forward to in the second half, so stick with us for the restart in just a bit.
And that will be that from Anfield as an entertaining match finishes all square. In truth, it was probably the fairest result, with both teams creating numerous openings. Two fine goals from Coutinho and Kane have split the points here, leaving Spurs trailing Leicester by four points having now played a game more. Liverpool move up to ninth. That's all the tme we've got, thanks for tuning in!
