FULL-TIME! SEVILLA HAVE WON THE 2015/16 EUROPA LEAGUE!
90' +4
N. Clyne gets yellow.
Clyne is forced into a challenge on Vitolo, and he'll be issued a yellow card for the foul. That should do it!
90' +3
S. Cristóforo enters the game and replaces É. Banega.
Sevilla make their third and final change as they try to wind the remaining time off the clock. Banega is replaced by Sebastian Cristoforo, leaving just one minute remaining in stoppage time.
90' +2
Everyone up for Liverpool as they win a corner - except for Mignolet who is hanging back as the threat of a fourth goal looms. Milner's delivery is met by Lovren, but he can't get enough behind his header to get it on target, as Sevilla clear. And with that, Liverpool's hopes may be squashed.
90'
There will be four minutes added on at the end of this match.
89'
Iborra enters the game and replaces K. Gameiro.
It's Iborra who replaces the Frenchman, whose goal just 16 seconds into the second half kick-started this remarkable turnaround.
88'
Another decision goes against the Reds, this one for a foul on Benteke, and Sevilla will use the stoppage to make their second substitution. Kevin Gameiro will give way, but he's in no rush whatsoever to get off the pitch.
86'
It's Sevilla who look more like scoring at the moment as Liverpool are left with little choice but to send everyone forward, leaving them completely exposed at the back. It's looking rather ominous for the Reds now who have just four minutes plus stoppage time to score twice.
84'
Mariano gets yellow.
Mariano becomes the second Sevilla player booked for time wasting.
83'
C. Benteke enters the game and replaces K. Touré.
A final roll of the dice from Klopp as he brings on Christian Benteke, with defender Kolo Toure the one sacrificed.
Minute
Description
82'
Sevilla are taking a negative approach in possession now, though you can hardly blame them. They're putting themselves under a bit of pressure, however, as they pass it all the way back to the keeper, while Liverpool are ferociously chasing down every ball.
80'
LIFTED OVER! It was certainly worth an attempt from Coutinho, who claims possession following a corner, cuts onto his right and has a go from atop the area. He's unable to keep it down in the end, however, as the opportunity goes begging. A little hope dies with every chance Liverpool miss in these final 10 minutes.
78'
T. Kolodziejczak enters the game and replaces A. Rami.
Timothee Kolodziejczak is brought on in a like-for-like change at the back, replacing Rami.
77'
A. Rami gets yellow.
Rami has signalled over to the bench that he's in need of a change, and when the ball is put into touch the defender goes to ground, eliciting a load groan of disapproval from the Liverpool supporters. He won't go off himself, so more time will run off the clock now as the stretcher is brought on. The stretcher arrives, and Rami pops up as he decides to limp off under his own power.
Rami is booked for time wasting.
75'
Liverpool can't get anything going at the moment! Momentum is entirely on Sevilla's side as they push forward on the counter with every chance they get, exploiting the space made available to them on the break with the Reds having to commit bodies forward.
73'
J. Allen enters the game and replaces A. Lallana.
Joe Allen is the second Liverpool player introduced, as the clock winds down on the Reds' trophy hopes, with Lallana giving way.
72'
D. Origi gets yellow.
Now Origi is issued a yellow card in what is really his first involvement of the night, for a straight arm on Rami in the air.
70'
Coke has scored a goal for Sevilla!
M. Škrtel gets yellow.
The flag was originally raised as Coke was in an offside position when the ball came to him, but the referee determines it took a deflection off Lallana en route, before the skipper powers a strike beyond Mignolet at the far post. The keeper got a hand to it, but it wasn't strong enough as it managed to trickle across the line!
WHAT IS HAPPENING?! Sevilla have their third, and while it's called back at first, the referees consult with one another and decide it's a good goal! Liverpool players are furious with the decision, but there's little they can do about it now!
69'
D. Origi enters the game and replaces Roberto Firmino.
Firmino, who has been largely anonymous tonight, is the one who gives way for Origi.
68'
Play comes to a halt with Toure down and in need of treatment after an exciting duel with Gameiro. He'll be fine to continue, but the stoppage has allowed Origi more time to warm up and he appears set to come on shortly. The Belgian forward hasn't played since injuring himself in the Merseyside derby in the middle of April.
66'
Well who predicted this storyline? It's gone completely against the script in this second half for Liverpool, who looked so comfortable after 45 minutes. They have their work cut out for them now, and Klopp will have to start pondering a change as the attacking threat posed by his side continues to wane.
64'
Coke has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by Vitolo.
FROM BEHIND, SEVILLA LEAD IN BASEL! The back-to-back winners have turned the game on its head in the second half! It's absolutely brilliant in the build-up from Sevilla, as they carve the Liverpool defence apart with some intricate one-touch passing before Coke pokes a delightful finish past Mignolet and in at the far post!
Vitolo picks up the assist for his final pass, but there could have been two or three handed out for that goal.
63'
STAT: There have been three Europa League/UEFA Cup finals contested between Spanish and English sides. The last two have been won by the La Liga outfits (Atletico over Fulham in 2010 and Sevilla over Middlesbrough in 2006). Liverpool won the first against Deportivo Alaves in 2001.
61'
WONDERFUL SAVE FROM MIGNOLET! Gameiro drifts behind Toure as he completely loses track of the striker. Gameiro gets on the end of a cross in from the left and has all the time in the world from in close to find the back of the net, but opts to take the chance first-time, sending an effort straight at Mignolet who uses his legs to keep it out from point-blank range!
59'
After asking a few questions in attack, Liverpool are back defending as Sevilla reclaim possession and work it around patiently in the attacking half. The La Liga outfit look very comfortable on the ball, but they need to adopt a bit more tempo to their approach in the final third.
57'
É. Banega gets yellow.
The bookings are coming in fast now as Banega is the latest to be issued a yellow card for a cynical tug of the shirt of Lallana near the corner flag.
56'
Vitolo gets yellow.
Wonderful running from Lallana who does well to cut in front of Vitolo, forcing the forward into a challenge. The Liverpool winger knew exactly what he was doing there and executed it perfectly as Vitolo is issued a yellow card.
54'
Sevilla were very much second best in the first half, but such an important quality of teams in these matches is to have a short memory. Remember, they were poor for long spells of their last two finals against Dnipro and Benfica, but they managed to be ruthlessly efficient when their chances arose and benefited greatly as a result.
52'
Liverpool have another penalty shout and again it's for handball as Lallana's header strikes the arm of Carrico, following another wonderful ball in from Clyne. This is an important response from the Reds who need to put the torrid start to the half behind them and get on with the match.
50'
STAT: Liverpool have never scored more than one goal away from Anfield in the Europa League this season.
48'
LIVERPOOL NEARLY GO BEHIND! What an electrifying start to the half this has been from Sevilla who almost turn it around completely inside of three minutes of the second half! Banega sends a terrific ball through for Gameiro who finds himself behind the defence, but a stunning recovery tackle from Toure denies the striker from getting a shot off!
46'
K. Gameiro has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by Mariano.
BACK UNDERWAY IN BASEL!
Outstanding from Mariano who was very much the architect of that goal.
GOODNESS ME WHAT A START FROM SEVILLA! They restore parity just 16 seconds after the restart! A poor defensive header from Lovren keeps the pressure on, and Mariano does brilliantly to nutmeg Moreno before picking out the perfect ball for Gameiro to tap in from close range! Incredible scenes at St. Jakob-Park!
45' +1
HALF-TIME: LIVERPOOL 1-0 SEVILLA.
45'
IT'S STAYED OUT! More brilliant interplay in attack from the Reds as they work the ball around before Clyne is played through on the right by Lallana. The full-back sends in an absolutely delicious cross which whizzes through the six-yard box with pace, but neither Firmino or Sturridge can get the vital touch on it!
43'
Sevilla are far too narrow in the midfield third, with Vitolo and Coke too keen on drifting into the centre. There's acres of space to be had for Clyne on the overlap if Liverpool can pick him out quickly when they win the ball back. Unai Emery has to be seeing this, as it's happening on the touchline directly in front of him, and make the appropriate adjustments at the interval.
41'
LOVREN SCORES... BUT IT'S CALLED BACK! Milner's outswinging corner finds the towering head of Lovren, who sends a powerful effort at goal. Sturridge interfered with it from an offside positio, however, and it even looked as though he got a touch on it to fool Soria.
39'
Klopp's side are buoyed by their opener and are back on the front foot almost straight away. There's a real spring in their step now and Sevilla have to be very careful not to concede a second before the interval.
37'
STAT: Liverpool have had 11 different scorers in this season's Europa League, more than any other team.
35'
D. Sturridge has scored a goal for Liverpool! Assist by Philippe Coutinho.
Coutinho picks up the assist for his pass to pick out Sturridge in space on the left.
OUTSTANDING FROM STURRIDGE WHO GRANTS LIVERPOOL THE LEAD! Firmino and Coutinho link-up to get the ball across for Sturridge who picks his head up from atop the area and unleashes a sumptuous strike with the outside of his left foot that curls in at the far post! It's a strike more than worthy of the occasion!
32'
HOW SPECIAL WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN?! It's an audacious effort from Gameiro that nearly pays off! Liverpool fail to convincingly clear their lines following a Sevilla corner, and the ball ends up dropping for the striker at the near post, who goes for the spectacular, but his bicycle-kick drifts just beyond the frame of the goal!
30'
D. Lovren gets yellow.
Lovren becomes the first player booked in this final, as he goes flying into a challenge on Gameiro with reckless abandon near the touchline. He got a piece of the ball, but there's no escaping a booking based on the sheer force with which he slid into that tackle.
29'
LOVELY RUN FROM MARIANO! The Brazilian full-back shows some excellent determination to advance the ball into the final third and towards the byline, navigating his way past more than a couple of challenges. The move was begging out for a good delivery, but Liverpool have bodies back in numbers as they manage to see it behind for a corner.
27'
STAT: This is Liverpool's 12th major European final, having previously reached seven Champions League/European Cup finals, three Europa League/UEFA Cup finals and one in the Cup Winners Cup. They have won eight of them (73%).
25'
SORIA OUT ALERTLY! Terrific searching ball from Lallana who cuts in from the left before playing a ball through to spot the run of Sturridge. The angle was a bit tight for the striker, who is thwarted by Soria at the near post, before the attack comes to an end following another Milnner foul, this on Escudero - who requires a bit of attention from the medical staff.
23'
There's an excellent battle developing between Milner and Krychowiak, two of the hardest working players around. Both play a rather similar style, and they're finding themselves in close contact with one another in this first half. The Liverpool midfielder has to be careful though, as his foul count is quickly rising.
21'
Despite the urgency on display from these two sides, quality has been rather pedestrian in the final third. Mignolet has had to claim one or two crosses, while Soria was called into action as he turned aside Can's effort from distance, but otherwise it's been a rather quiet opening 20 minutes for the two keepers.
19'
Make no doubt about it, this game is being contested with just the sort of ferocity you would expect from a cup final. Players are throwing caution to the wind every time there's a glimmer of hope that they can win a tackle or get possession back for their side, and full credit has to be given to the referee who has done very well to let these men play as best he can.
17'
After a prolonged spell where Liverpool were asking all the questions, Sevilla are back on the ascendency as they've weathered the storm at the back. The Reds are playing incredibly direct, so quick to get forward when they win the ball back, which is quite the opposite of the approach of Sevilla, who are keen to play with the ball and build patiently in attack.
15'
STAT: Sevilla and Liverpool have both won all of their finals in the Europa League/UEFA Cup: 4/4 and 3/3 respectively, while no team has won the competition as often as Unai Emery’s outfit.
13'
Somewhat muted appeals for a handball are dismissed quickly by the Swedish referee. Firmino takes a ball over the top in stride and tries to cut inside Carrico, who ends up blocking the ball with his arm. There was contact, but it was also clearly incidental, and would have been a harsh decision had the spot-kick been awarded.
11'
SO NEARLY THE OPENER! There's absolutely no doubt about the quality of the delivery this time around from Clyne, who sends a peach of a cross onto the head of Sturridge at the far post. The striker heads back across goal, and it's lingering in a very dangerous area before Carrico hooks it clear off the line!
9'
A succession of fouls has curbed any hopes of ascendency to the tempo of the match. Vitolo's trickery on the ball is proving a bit of an issue for Liverpool, who have resorted to hacking the forward to ground to halt his momentum on the break. Milner is the latest to be penalised, but the ensuing free-kick is sent safely into the hands of Mignolet by Carrico.
7'
BEATEN AWAY BY SORIA! The Sevilla keeper is the first put to the test as Liverpool wander forward on their maiden attack of the evening. A stray ball from Clyne in for Sturridge finds its way to Can, who is no stranger to scoring from range. He's not off celebrating this time around, however, as Soria stays with it the whole way, diving to his left to parry.
5'
Sevilla have enjoyed the bulk of possession thus far, with Liverpool content with letting them pass it around on the perimeter. The Reds haven't been able to string more than a couple of passes together when they do win the ball back, but there's little cause for concern just yet as they're still simply getting their legs going.
3'
A pair of early fouls from Can allow Sevilla to start on the front foot, though there's been little attacking threat posed by the La Liga outfit just yet. The noise level inside the stadium is off the charts, but the raucous atmosphere in the crowd has yet to translate to the tempo of the match in the earl going.

HERE WE GO! Swedish referee Jonas Eriksson sounds his whistle and the Europa League final is underway! Liverpool in red, attacking left to right, with Sevilla in all white.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Europa League final from St. Jakob-Park in Basel, as holders Sevilla face off against Liverpool! Unai Emery’s side are bidding to become the first club to win the competition three successive seasons, having defeated Dnipro and Benfica in the previous two editions. Liverpool, meanwhile, are aiming for their first success in the competition since 2001, though the Reds have been triumphant in the Champions League since then, overcoming Milan in a historic final in Istanbul in 2005.
As if the occasion needed any greater significance, the stakes are even higher than your average final, with a spot in the Champions League on the line both sides failed to secure a top-four finish in their respective leagues, meaning the loser will be left out of the illustrious competition for next season – and to make matters more intriguing, this will be the first ever meeting between Liverpool and Sevilla in Europe.
Both teams took very different routes to reaching the final, with Liverpool’s arguably the harder of the two. Sevilla went straight into the knockout stage having finished third in their Champions League group, defeating Molde, Basel, Athletic Bilbao and Shakhtar en route to St. Jakob-Park. Liverpool topped their Europa League group, and had to get by the likes of Augsburg, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal to secure their place in the final.
These two clubs have been in seven finals in the competition between them, with neither coming out on the losing end, but something has to give tonight. The coaches have trended in opposite directions recently in final appearances, however. Jurgen Klopp has lost each of his last four finals as manager, dating back to a 2012 DFB-Pokal success with Dortmund, including a penalty defeat to Manchester City in the League Cup earlier this season, while Unai Emery won each of his two attempts at a trophy – both in the Europa League – since taking over in Seville in January 2013.
LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS: Jurgen Klopp has selected the same team which defeated Villarreal in convincing fashion at Anfield in their semi-final second leg, while the Reds are boosted by some strong names on their bench, with captain Jordan Henderson and forward Divock Origi both available at the German manager's disposal. Nathaniel Clyne and Alberto Moreno, who faces his former club, are the first-choice full-backs, while Kolo Toure and Dejan Lovren will anchor the defence in front of goalkeeper Simon Mignolet. James Milner and Emre Can are the preferred duo in midfield, with Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana providing the support for Daniel Sturridge, who leads the line ahead of the two Belgian strikers on the bench.
SEVILLA TEAM NEWS: Unai Emery makes just one change to the side which tasted victory in their semi-final second leg against Shakhtar, with Sergio Escudero replacing the injured Benoit Tremoulinas. With Michael Krohn-Dehli absent as well, Sevilla find themselves a bit weakened down the left-hand side of their team. Mariano starts opposite Escudero, with Adil Rami and Daniel Carrico making up the remainder of the back-four. Liverpool will have to combat the feisty duo of Grzegorz Krychowiak and Steven N'Zonzi, while Kevin Gameiro leads the line with a point to prove after being left off France's 23-man squad for the European Championship. The striker will be supported by Coke, Ever Banega and Vitolo, while Yevhen Konoplyanka is available off the bench.
The atmosphere is brilliant and the tension is palpable as the anthem sounds ahead of kick-off! Waves of supporters from both clubs have made their way over to Basel for the match tonight, and the weather in Switzerland has co-operated as well - it's an absolutely beautiful night at St. Jakob-Park!
A moment of magic from Daniel Sturridge has Liverpool deservedly in front at half-time in Basel. Sevilla started strong, but made little of their early possession, and they have been very much second best since. A few strong saves from Soria, a goal-line clearance by Carrico and a disallowed goal have prevented the scorline from getting any worse, but Sevilla have their work cut out for them as they look to regain the winning formula that saw them lift the Europa League trophy in each of the last two seasons.
Liverpool have one hand on the trophy after 45 minutes, but Sevilla will be sure to have their say. If the first half is any indication of what's to come, the Reds are more than up for the occasion, but there's still plenty of football to be played at St. Jakob-Park. There's also a wealth of talent available to both teams off the bench, so we'll see what sort of impact the substitutes can have during the course of the second half.
Sevilla win the Europa League for a third season running, the first team to ever do so, as they book their place in the Champions League for next season on the back of three second-half goals! Liverpool were in complete control after 45 minutes, but experience in this Sevilla side proved so vital as they persevered with a goal just 16 seconds into the second half from Kevin Gameiro. The Frenchman restored parity before two goals in six minutes for Coke put the game out of reach... and you can see just how much it means to them as the final whistle brings a start to the celebrations!
On the opposite touchline, the despair on the face of the Liverpool players and supporters tells it all. They went from euphoric cheers in the first half to Europa League runner-ups, as Jurgen Klopp loses his second chance at a trophy since arriving at Anfield. That's all for our live coverage from Basel, thank you all for following along. Goodbye!
