Deep into stoppage time now, and it appears that both teams will be taking a point apiece. Andone tries to make something happen late on, but he's crowded out deep on the left flank.
90' +1
S. Tarashaj enters the game and replaces X. Shaqiri.
Late run out for Tarashaj, in place of Shaqiri.
90'
Lichtsteinier runs into trouble on the right-hand side, but Lang picks up the pieces, hooking a great cross that Tatarusanu does really well to catch, with Embolo lurking behind to feast.
88'
A corner for Romania is well defended, with the Tricolorii trying to launch a last attack to steal the points late on here. However they soon turn it over, giving Switzerland a chance to play their way out.
86'
A deep free-kick by Switzerland is plucked out of the sky by Tatarusanu. Romania try to launch an attack, but Petkovic's side have men back and successfully make it difficult for them.
84'
F. Andone enters the game and replaces B. Stancu.
Stancu heads off for Andone.
Those two substitutions have robbed the match of momentum, which will suit Switzerland just fine heading into the final minutes. A point doesn't put them in the next round yet, but it will almost certainly be enough at the end of the day.
83'
M. Lang enters the game and replaces B. Džemaili.
Dzemaili is replaced by Rico Lang.
81'
Switzerland have really grown into the better side in the closing stages. Romania seem to be losing energy, and look happy to take the point at the moment. It will leave them most likely needing a win against Albania in their final game though.
79'
Romania are starting to wobble now as Grigore hacks a clearance straight up into the air, leading to a spectaculary try from Dzemaili, who attempts to score right on the volley, but flashes it over.
Minute
Description
78'
Shaqiri and Rodriguez line up for the set-piece once again, with the former taking charge, but he fires right into the wall. The rebound springs kindly for Mehmedi, but he lashes it into the arms of Tatarusanu.
76'
D. Grigore gets yellow.
Grigore is the latest player to get his name taken after he trod on the heel of Embolo right outside the penalty area.
75'
OVER THE BAR! Embolo passes the ball to Rodriguez, who clips in an inswinging cross that finds Shaqiri all alone at the far post. He attempts a spectacular overhead kick, but makes poor contact.
73'
Torje tries to find space to shoot but instead has to square for Stancu, who is crowded out by a pair of players, and loses the ball, leading to a counter - but Embolo can't beat Tatarusanu to the ball.
71'
Embolo attempts to get a move going down the left-hand side, but his flicked pass rolls out for a goal-kick. He's already made an impact off the bench, the substitute, as Switzerland chase a second.
69'
CLEVER! Torje lines up a free-kick that seems too far out for him to have a go, but he decides to try his luck anyway, and his effort swerves and bounces, drawing a solid stop from Sommer.
67'
EMBOLO! After a long period of possession, Switzerland finally break through, as Shaqiri's cross is hooked towards the substitute at the back post, who makes contact, but can't direct it on target.
65'
Switzerland are back on top in terms of possession, and are passing Romania to death. However, the Tricolorii are staying strong at the back and not allowing any space for a shooting chance.
64'
B. Embolo enters the game and replaces H. Seferović.
Seferovic is replaced by Embolo.
63'
The game has slowed down a bit in terms of tempo. It's hard to argue against this being a fair scoreline, all things considered. Two substitutions in the offing, will they make the difference on the pitch?
62'
S. Filip enters the game and replaces R. Raț.
Rat is off and Filip is introduced.
61'
You could see what Shaqiri was trying to do as he lined up the free-kick, curling the ball over the wall but failing to direct it back down on goal, as it flies high, and probably a little wide as well.
59'
Now then, it looks like Switzerland have gained some momentum with that goal, and Shaqiri draws a foul in a good position with a probing run. It's just about within shooting range for someone.
57'
A. Mehmedi has scored a goal for Switzerland! Assist by J. Djourou.
Djourou rose highest in a crowd to flick it to his team-mate.
WHAT A HIT! Switzerland are level in stunning fashion, as Mehmedi winds up and smacks Djourou's knock-down on the volley with enough power to leave Tatarusanu with no chance.
54'
Excellent tempo to the second period, and it appears that it won't be long before we see another goal. Who will get it is anyone's guess, although Romania have fashioned the two best openings.
52'
SO CLOSE TO A SECOND! Rat hooks a long ball to the right flank for Torje, who one-times it superbly into the six-yard area, only for Djourou to react with a sliding clearance that just - just - sneaked around the post!
50'
G. Xhaka gets yellow.
Good start to the second half here in the capital. Both teams are noy shying away from getting players into advanced positions. Petkovic stood with his original XI, will they repay him with a goal?
Xhaka gets booked for a clumsy foul in the middle.
48'
The substitute Hoban nearly made an instant impact with a low drive that flew wide, before Shaqiri had a blocked shot that still caused momentary panic as it looked like it was going to loop into the goal.
46'
O. Hoban enters the game and replaces M. Pintilii.
Off we go again!
Stefan Hoban has entered, with Pintiilii departing.
45'
Djourou is a little lucky to get away with a high boot against Torje, but the former Arsenal man hasn't done a lot wrong. Down at the other end, Lichtsteinier flicks a surprise header towards goal that Tatarusanu isn't fooled by.
43'
Seferovic spots Dzemaili making a darting run to the near post, and tries to fool the defence with a quick pass, but there's too much mustard on it and Tatarusanu can see it safely into his arms.
41'
MAGNIFICENT CHALLENGE! Mehmedi was about to burst clear down the left side of the box and deliver what would have been a threatening cross, but Chiriches is across to block his cross with a slide!
39'
SHOULD HAVE DONE BETTER! Xhaka hangs a terrific ball over the top for Lichtsteinier, who does even better to race to the byline and scoop it back into the area. Schar arrives with a downward header, but plants it wide.
37'
C. Keșerü gets yellow.
Chipciu has been a livewire on the left flank for Romania, and he gets the beating of Schar with a quick move, before driving down the byline and seeing his cross headed away from Keseru by Djourou.
Keseru grabbed the arm of Behrami to tango, instead of making a fair challenge on the ball. Yellow card.
35'
Clever from Rodriguez, who hangs a quick free-kick over Sapanaru that finds Mehmedi attacking deep on the left-hand side. He forces a corner which is met by a Xhaka header, but a deflection off a defender takes it out of play. The referee awards a goal-kick though.
33'
Switzerland win a free-kick on the edge of the area after Dzemaili was fouled, and it's in perfect territory for Rodriguez. The full-back waves off Shaqiri, but his wait for an international goal will continue after his curler was grabbed by Tatarusanu.
31'
Well those last two chances for Chipciu and Sapanaru taught Switzerland a thing or two about attacking rapidly. Suddenly, the Swiss attack looks ponderous compared to the openings that Romania have fashioned.
29'
WHAT A CHANCE THAT WAS! From a free-kick, Switzerland fail to clear their lines, and the ball falls to Sapanaru not more than 10 yards out. He turns and hits it straight away, but it rebounds off the post and out!
27'
FIRED WIDE! Chipcu scampers forward on the counter-attack, and cuts inside, with his momentum too much for Lichtsteinier to position himself against. He lets fly with a low, unpredictable bouncer that fails to hit the target.
25'
Shaqiri takes charge of the free-kick instead of Rodriguez, and delivers a lovely ball into the heart of the area that is headed away well by Grigore. Decent response from Switzerland to going behind.
23'
A. Chipciu gets yellow.
Another rapid booking for Romania, as Chipciu clashes knees with Lichtsteiner deep on the right-hand side.
22'
A. Prepeliță gets yellow.
SNIPER! Schar takes the ball down on his chest and unleashes a dipping, swerving volley that draws an excellent save from Tatarusanu to divert it over the crossbar! Great play all around.
Prepelita gets booked for clattering right into the back of Xhaka.
20'
Switzerland must be ruing those two missed chances for Seferovic now, as they've conceded against the run of play. It was a silly mistake by Lichtsteiner, and now his team must redouble their efforts in attack.
18'
Penalty goal scored by B. Stancu for Romania!
STANCU MAKES NO MISTAKE! For the second time in this tournament, he finds the back of the net from the spot, this time sending Sommer the wrong way.
PENALTY FOR ROMANIA! Lichtsteinier looks like he wants the ground to swallow him up. The Juventus man tussled with Chipciu inside the area, but grabbed a handful of his shirt like it was on clearance.
17'
ANOTHER OPENING FOR SEFEROVIC! The Switzerland striker has been doing everything but finishing in this game. He races onto Shaqiri's throughball, but fires his low finish straight at Tatarusanu.
15'
Petkovic must be pleased with the way that his side have started this game. They've been able to find space and play their way out of traffic in the final third, with Romania being forced into increasingly desperate defensive maneuvers.
13'
Dzemaili's dangerous cross necessitates a clearing header to concede a corner. Shaqiri whips in a stinging delivery, which is punched clear with authority by Tatarusanu ahead of Seferovic.
11'
Seferovic is really causing the Romania centre-backs problems, and he moves dangerously to split the pair again, but isn't quick enough to get on the end of Xhaka's long pass before Tatarusanu.
9'
The game has been played almost exclusively in the Romania half, with Sapanaru committing a clumsy foul on Mehmedi that gave Rodriguez a chance to swing in a free-kick, which was headed away before Sapanaru was fouled to end the attack.
7'
WIDE OF THE MARK! Seferovic takes the ball at the top of the box and turns excellently to free himself for the finish, but he places it the wrong side of the post! That was a warning shot for Romania.
5'
Shaqiri has a shot blocked, which had Tatarusanu guessing for a second as the ball comes towards him anyway, but he smothers the ball in the end after spliiing it on the initial save.
3'
Good start from Romania as Torje forces Djourou to clear his dangerous cross, with Keseru lurking. Moments later, Sapanaru is forced to do almost the same thing as Switzerland launched their first attack.

Here we go!
Hello and welcome to our live commentary of the Euro 2016 clash between Romania and Switzerland. Both sides experienced contrasting fortunes in their tournament openers, and this evening represents a chance to either get back on track, or put one foot in the knockout stages. Stick with us for all the action.
By now almost everyone who's following the Euros has seen Dimitri Payet's stunner that downed Romania in the tournament opener. It was a bitter pill to swallow for the Tricolorii, and they will want to get a result here. Losing 2-1 to France matched the amount of goals that they conceded in qualifying.
Switzerland have never won two group matches at the Euros, but they have a huge chance to build on a 1-0 triumph over Albania and virtually guarantee themselves a spot in the quarter-finals by taking all three points. Even a draw won't be the worst result but with France to come in their final game, the last thing they'll want is to be needing a result against the hosts.
It's been evenly split in the 12 previous meetings between these two teams, with each outfit winning five times, with two draws. The Schweizer Nati beat the Tricolorii 4-1 at the 1994 World Cup, but the latter would have the last laugh, progressing to the quarter-finals, one round further than the former.
Romania subs: Pantilimon, Matel, Moti, Hoban, Ailbec, Stanciu, Andone, Gaman, Filip, Sanmartean, Adrian Popa, Lung.
Gabriel Torje replaces Adrian Popa on the right-hand side of midfield, while Alexandru Chipciu plays on the opposite flank, meaning that Bogdan Stancu slots in behind lone striker Claudiu Keseru.
Vladimir Petkovic names an unchanged starting lineup from the side that beat Albania - the first time he's ever done that as Switzerland coach. Yann Sommer, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Johan Djourou, Granit Xhaka, Admir Mehmedi and Eren Derdiyok all play, and were all in the side that were beaten 1-0 by Romania in a 2012 friendly - Sommer also made his international debut in that game.
And that will do it for the first half from Paris, with Romania leading by a goal to nil, thanks to Stancu's penalty, his second successful spot-kick of the Euros. Switzerland have enjoyed the majority of the ball, but have not been able to do enough with it, with the Tricolorii creating the better openings. Plenty to play for in the second half, so stay tuned.
And that will do it. Switzerland get a point out of their match with Romania, which leaves the former provisionally atop Group A and within touching distance of the quarter-finals. Romania improve from their defeat to France, but will be needing a result against Albania in their final game to stand a chance of qualification. That's all from us, thanks for tuning in!
