Good evening and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the Champions League tie between Legia Warsaw and Borussia Dortmund.
After a one-year absence, Borussia Dortmund returns to Europe's most illustrious competition in club football tonight. Their first UEFA Champions League match takes them to Warsaw, where the Black and Yellows will go up against Legia, who are the reigning Polish champions and cup winners. The 2013 finalists are aiming for the knockout stages of the Champions League. Pitted against Real Madrid, Sporting and Legia in Group F, they have a good chance of advancing.
This is the first competitive encounter between Legia Warsaw and Borussia Dortmund. It is also the first meeting between a Polish and German club in the Champions League since 1996/97 when Borussia Dortmund faced Widzew Lódz in the group stages.
Legia are without Michal Kucharczyk and Michal Pazdan for this Champions League group match against Dortmund due to injury.
Legia are the minnows of Group F and are struggling after an abysmal start in Extraklasa. After eight games, they sit 13th of 16 teams with only nine points in the bank. The hosts have only scored two goals in four home games so far this season. Legia lost 2-1 to Nieciecza at the weekend, after conceding two penalties to their high-flying hosts.
Dortmund seem primed to make the most of Legia's slump, though Tuchel's side enter the Champions League tie with some question marks themselves. Saturday's 1-0 league loss away to Leipzig unmasked Dortmund's woes of the early season.
Meanwhile Legia will end Poland's 20-year absence from the Champions League tonight.

Dortmund will be more than happy with their performance so far. Goals from Gotze, Sokratis and Bartra have given the German side a 3-0 lead and they have dominated the vast majority of the game so far.
In truth it could be more than 3-0 to Dortmund as they have had plenty of chances and Legia have been forced to defend for an entire 45 minutes. Not the start that the Polish champions wanted on their return to the Champions League.

A superb performance by Dortmund sees them come away from Poland with a 6-0 victory, thanks to goals from Gotze, Sokratis, Bartra, Guerreiro, Gonzalo Castro and Aubameyang. Legia Warsaw were disappointing defensively and Dortmund fully deserved their victory which means they go top of Group F.
