João Cancelo has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by Gelson Martins.
Excellent again from the sub.
WHAT A GOAL! Gelson has been the best player since he stepped onto the pitch, running at pace before splitting the defence with a world-class pass that Joao Cancelo runs onto to poke home.
90' +1
João Moutinho has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by Gelson Martins.
He's been a spark plug off the bench.
GUIDED IN WITH CLASS! Gelson scampers down the right-hand side once again, shakes his ma and lays the ball off for Moutinho, who leans back and slots the ball into the top corner!
90'
Andre Gomes links with Gelson, whose low cross is just about cleared by the defence. Hansen takes an inadvertent knock in the mouth from Andre Gomes, and gets an apology from the midfielder.
88'
Hansson is back with us as we enter the dying embers of this game. Portugal are passing the ball around at pace against fatigued opponents. Is there enough time for the visiting side to find a fifth goal here?
86'
Hansson, moments after battling with Carvalho for the ball, falls down and is in need of some assistance. Portugal put the ball out of play. Meanwhile, in the stands, the Poznan breaks out.
84'
Faroe Islands turn the ball over, and that sparks Gelson down the right-hand side. The substitute is too quick for Hansson, but his cross into the area is cleared away inside the six-yard area.
82'
Eder, under pressure from a defender, can't get his legs unstuck from his marker's and fails to connect with a throughball. Worth bringing up again that the supporters are still in superb voice.
81'
João Moutinho enters the game and replaces João Mário.
Final sub from Santos as Moutinho is introduced for Joao Mario.
80'
Éder enters the game and replaces André Silva.
K. í Bartalsstovu enters the game and replaces B. Hendriksson.
Andre Silva goes off and Portuguese legend Eder enters.
Hendriksson will depart and i Bartalsstovu will come on.
What we've seen from Faroe Islands tonight hasn't really reflected what they've been about in Group B so far. No shame in losing in this manner to the European champions - a hard lesson, but one well learned.
77'
Just over 10 minutes to go here in the Faroe Islands capital, and it appears that Portugal will be content with the four goals. However, there's still that chance that a mistake from the hosts will let them in again.

Description
75'
Portugal are bringing out the party tricks, but they try to get too cute with it. Ronaldo and Gelson exchange pretty passes, but they attempt one flick too many, and turn the ball over.
73'
A generation ago, all the Faroe Islands players used to require day jobs - professional football was just not that big of a deal. These days, their squad members can be full-time footballers.
72'
J. Davidsen enters the game and replaces A. Gregersen.
Gregersen is withdrawn for Johan Davidsen.
70'
HOW HAS THAT STAYED OUT? First, Andre Silva is denied a fourth goal after seeing a hard, low drive turned away thanks to a stunning save from Nielsen. From the resulting corner, Pepe flubs a header from a yard or so out.
68'
Gelson Martins enters the game and replaces Ricardo Quaresma.
Quaresma is withdrawn and on comes Gelson Martins.
Five goals in four days now for Ronaldo, just when it was beginning to look that it would not be his night. Present and future both on the scoresheet here. it's now a matter of how many the visitors want.
66'
R. Joensen enters the game and replaces G. Rólantsson.
Sorensen is off and Joensen is introduced in his place.
65'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by João Mário.
Joao Mario has been everywhere in the final third!
CRACKER FROM CRISTIANO! That was just special from the skipper. He exchanges a one-two with Joao Mario, takes a sublime first touch at the edge of the box before blitzing in a left-footed bullet.
62'
First moment of danger from the home side as Sorensen has a shot blocked at the back post, following a moment's hesitation from Jose Fonte when clearing a cross that allowed it to stay in contention.
60'
Pepe gets yellow.
Strange one there. Pepe commits the foul on Hanssen, stopping the midfielder from driving forward on the break. Quaresma then smashes the ball into the prone Faroe Islands man on the turf, but it's the Real Madrid man who was booked.
59'
A. Gregersen gets yellow.
The referee plays an advantage on a foul on Joao Mario, but when Gregersen brings down Quaresma, the referee decides to stop play and book the defender for that one.
57'
Fantastic atmosphere inside this ground, with the Superman theme ringing out around the stadium. Whether it's ironically directed at Ronaldo or not, it's great to see these supporters remind us what the game is all about.
55'
Faroe Islands were fairly respectful in the first half in terms of their challenges, but they're starting to lose their discipline just a little in the second half. Portugal are probably still nursing some bruises after the kick-fest that was their match against Andorra.
53'
No dice for Ronaldo, who blasts that one off the mark. That's two off-target free-kicks from him now.
52'
Gregersen is too aggressive with Ronaldo, and concedes a foul. It's quite a way out, but I've seen the Real Madrid man ping them in from this range, and it's he who stands over it.
50'
Portugal aren't typically involved in many heavy wins, which is making tonight's result in the making and Friday's thrashing of Andorra a welcome change. Having said that, it was their efficiency that won them the Euros.
48'
SAVED BY THE KEEPER! Finally, Faroe Islands get a stroke of luck inside their own penalty area. Ronaldo bore down on goal, but his low strike was stopped by the legs of Nielsen.
46'
Here we go again.
44'
Andre Silva's name has been up in lights during the first half, and there's some hope that the young Porto striker will become the answer in attack for the Seleccao. He's only 20 with his whole career ahead of him.
41'
Not much happening out on the pitch as we approach the interval. So far, Portugal have managed 14 shots, while Faroe Islands have yet to muster up an effort. It's been child's play.
39'
José Fonte gets yellow.
Fonte becomes the first player booked in this game, after barging into the back of Hansson when they both went up to challenge for a high ball. Definitely a foul, but probably not worth a yellow.
37'
André Silva has scored a goal for Portugal!
HAT-TRICK FOR ANDRE SILVA! Joao Cancelo takes aim from the edge of the area, and his stinger is parried right back into the mixer by Nielsen. The striker licks his lips and converts the rebound.
35'
Brief spell of positivity again for the home side as they win a corner, but Edmundsson's delivery is poor and goes out for a goal-kick. The home fans, again wonderful, keep cheering them on.
32'
Portugal win yet another corner which Pepe takes a swing at near the back post, but he can't keep it down. The visitors are finding it far too easy to get what they want in this match. Just over half-hour gone.
30'
Joao Mario tries to hook a ball to the unmarked Quaresma at the far post, but Davidsen manages to get his head on the ball and clear. From the resulting corner, the defence does its job once more.
28'
The fans at least are doing their part, keeping up a steady noise inside the stadium. This is a nation of just under 50 000 inhabitants, so sporting success has always been a hard thing to come by.
26'
Faroe Islands have never come close to qualifying for a major international tournament. In their group for World Cup 2014 qualification, they finished bottom of the pile with only a single point.
24'
Both goals for Portugal were scored with an air of ease that you should not expect at this level. The visitors will be delighted to see Andre Silva amongst the goals - takes that burden off Ronaldo somewhat.
22'
André Silva has scored a goal for Portugal!
IT'S A SECOND FOR PORTUGAL AND ANDRE SILVA! Quaresma's cross-cum-shot was deflected by a defender into the body of the keeper, and the striker picks up the pieces, heading home the rebound.
21'
Good, rapid move from the home side, as Sorensen breaks through the centre, and passes to Edmundsson, who tries to feed Hansson on the overlap, but it goes out for a goal-kick. Pace and purpose, but no end product.
19'
Ronaldo stands over a free-kick from about 25 yards out as the wall gets in position, but he hammers it too high and too wide, to a loud cheer from the home fans. Not one of his better efforts.
16'
These two sides have never met in a competitive match, although they did play in a friendly in 2008 back when Carlos Quieroz was Portugal boss. The Seleccao ran out comfortable winners on that occasion.
14'
Having got his first international goal on Friday against Andorra, Andre Silva is at it again. It was amazing how close he was able to get to goal as Nielsen was slow to come off his line.
12'
André Silva has scored a goal for Portugal!
PORTUGAL LEAD! Poor defending from Faroe Islands gives the visitors the chance on the break. Ronaldo's flick is cleared by Nattestad right into the path of Andre Silva, who finishes calmly.
10'
Another shot in anger from Carvalho, but again, it's nowhere near the target. Still, signs that Portugal are settling more into this game and beginning to exert some pressure on Faroe Islands.
8'
Portugal are getting snuffed out whenever they get within shooting range, but Carvalho manages to find some space to let fly, but it doesn't trouble the keeper. First shot of the match.
6'
Slow start to this match here, with Portugal dominating possession, but unable to get anything constructive going. Faroe Islands will be happy to sit deep for now and look for their openings on the break.
3'
It's an artificial surface here in Torshavn, and you just wonder if it's affecting Portugal at the start of this game, as they misplace a fair number of passes that you would expect them to complete.

Off we go!
Hello and welcome to our live commentary of the World Cup qualifier between Faroe Islands and Portugal. The defending Euro champs will want to pick up a comprehensive win here to make a statement in the group. Stick with us for all the action.
Faroe Islands have made a strong start to their campaign in Group B, defeating Latvia and drawing with Hungary to sit second on four points. if they manage to pull an upset tonight, we may be in for a hell of a group.
Portugal lost their group opener in arguably their toughest matchup, falling 2-0 to Switzerland. They followed that up with a commanding 6-0 win against Andorra. Despite Faroe Islands' good form so far, the Seleccao will fancy their chances here.
Joan Edmundsson, who scored the second for Faroe Islands against Latvia, will lead the line tonight, while the other goalscorer in that game, the 6'5 defender Sonni Nattestad, lines up at the back.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Andre Silva are in attack for the visitors, while Jose Fonte partners Pepe in defence. William Carvalho and Joao Mario are the chosen midfield pair, with Joao Moutinho on the bench.
No stoppage time as the referee sends both teams down the tunnel. It's been a training-ground exercise for the visitors, with an Andre Silva hat-trick arriving without too much effort. It's already shaping up to be a long second half for Faroe Islands.
And that will do it as Portugal match their tally from Andorra on Friday, running out 6-0 winners against Faroe Islands. Andre Silva's first-half hat-trick put them on course, with goals from Ronaldo, Moutinho and Joao Cancelo completing the rout. Two wins from three for the Seleccao, while tonight's hosts have recorded a win, a draw and a loss. That's all from us, thanks for tuning in!
