Hello and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the DFB-Pokal clash between Borussia Dortmund and Union Berlin.
Tonight Borussia Dortmund host 1. FC Union Berlin in the second round of the DFB-Pokal, looking to put recent poor form behind them after only winning one of their last six games in all competitions.
Thomas Tuchel's side are currently experiencing a poor run of form, which has seen them slip six points behind leaders Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga after eight games. Their only win in the last six games came in the Champions League last week, as they beat Sporting Lisbon 2-1 away from home.
However the Black and Yellows are unbeaten in their last 18 matches at home in all competitions stretching back to December last year.
In the Bundesliga, they have failed to win in the last three games,most recently drawing 3-3 with FC Ingolstadt 04 away from home.
UNION BERLIN (3-4-2-1): Mesenholer (GK); Puncec, Parensen, Leister; Trimmel, Pedersen, Kroos, Zejnullahu; Hedlund, Redondo; Quaner.
Berlin sit second in the table - five points behind leaders Eintracht Braunschweig and will be looking to continue their impressive form which has seen them win six of their last seven matches. The latest victory came at the weekend when they defeated Erzgebirge Aue 3-1 thanks to a brace of goals from Damir Kreilach.
The hosts will not need to take second-tier Berlin lightly as they like strong contenders for promotion to the top flight next season, given how well they are doing so far this season after 11 games.
The sides have faced each other twice, with Dortmund coming out on top on both ocassions with the most recent meeting back in January when Tuchel's side won 3-1 away from home.
The game will now be kicking off at 8pm.
