There will be two minutes added on at the end of this match.
88'
G. Castro gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
STAT: Atletico Madrid are unbeaten in 21 successive LaLiga matches at the Vicente Calderon, dating back to a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona in September 2015.
Frustration sets in here as Castro slides into a hard challenge near the touchline and with the Uruguayan already on a yellow, that will see his match end early.
86'
Y. Carrasco has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid! Assist by Á. Correa.
Assist Ángel Martín Correa
A THING OF BEAUTY! That's an absolute screamer from Carrasco who gets beyond Ricca and hammers a finish into the far corner from outside the box and a less than ideal angle! Some finish there from the Belgian to put the game to bed!
84'
Saúl gets yellow.
Saul tries to fend off Camacho and winds up catching him with a hand to the face, which will see him into the book. Eight yellows and a red in this match now.
83'
The tempo has fizzled out as Atletico do their best to take their sting out of the match with the clock ticking down. They're not just sitting back and defending their lead, but rather controlling possession in an attempt to see it through - this is a good lesson in how to play from ahead by Simeone's side.
81'
Inside the final 10 minutes now and it's Atletico who are in the ascendency, looking the likelier to grab the all-important next goal. Malaga are struggling to come up with ideas in attack, with Sandro having very little to feast on up top.
79'
Atletico's supporters are responding as the noise level inside the stadium rises significantly, realising their side is in need of a boost. There's a terrific atmosphere inside the stadium now as the hosts battle their way forward in an attempt to see out the crucial three points they need.
77'
J. Oblak gets yellow.
F. Ricca gets yellow.
LUCKY! Good turn from Correa and Ricca drags him down to prevent the break, but is only issued yellow. The referee doesn't think that was a clean scoring chance, but it was certainly close.
Oblak is booked for time wasting.

Description
76'
STAT: Malaga are winless in their last seven LaLiga matches on their travels, and have been held scoreless in five of those fixtures (D3, L4).
74'
GREAT SAVE! Wonderful goalkeeping there from Kameni to dive across and parry Carrasco's free-kick from the left. The cross-cum-shot appeared destined for the top corner before the keeper intervened!
73'
M. Villanueva gets yellow.
Villanueva can't deal with the hold-up play of Carrasco, fouling him and picking up a yellow for a poorly timed challenge.
72'
Duda enters the game and replaces Pablo Fornals.
A final change of the evening sees Duda replace Pablo.
71'
Tempers flair! It's all boiling over here, as Godin is the latest to put in a very strong challenge, which prompts a coming together near the touchline. The referee has to take charge here as it looks set to pop off at any minute.
69'
Y. En-Nesyri gets yellow.
That's a dangerous challenge from En Nesyri who lunges into the back of Gabi and catches his leg in an awkward position. No doubt about that decision as the referee goes to his pocket.
67'
STAT: Atletico Madrid are unbeaten in their last five matches against Malaga in Madrid (D1), dating back to a 3-0 defeat in May 2011.
65'
Tiago enters the game and replaces K. Gameiro.
Atletico make their final change as holding midfielder Tiago replaces Gameiro.
64'
Ignacio Camacho has scored a goal for Malaga! Assist by G. Castro.
Castro with the assist, putting in a wonderfully inviting delivery from the left.
MALAGA CUT THE DEFICIT! Great determination from Camacho to get on the end of Castro's delivery and head home from close range! What an interesting 25 minutes we have in store.
63'
Y. En-Nesyri enters the game and replaces B. Koné.
Malaga go to their bench here and replace defender Bakary Kone with attacker Youssef En Nesyri.
61'
L. Hernández enters the game and replaces A. Griezmann.
A second change here for Atletico as centre-half Lucas Hernandez replaces Griezmann.
60'
S. Savić gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
ATLETICO DOWN TO 10 MEN! Game on, maybe! Savic sticks a leg out cynically to trip up Castro and he's already on a yellow, so that will see his night end early! A poor decision from the centre-half who has given Malaga life out of nowhere!
59'
J. Añor enters the game and replaces Jony.
Juan Pablo Anor replaces Jony in the first Malaga change.
58'
OFFSIDE! The flag denies what was another remarkable save from Kameni. It won't count in the stats department, but that was some piece of goalkeeping from Kameni to react and parry Luis' deflected effort following a good setup from Juanfran.
56'
Malaga desperately need to change their tactics and perhaps some personnel. They've been so poor in midfield, struggling to close down their gaps and press the ball, as Atletico's time in possession has resembled a walk in the park.
54'
SO CLOSE! Correa clips in a delightful cross behind the defence and Godin dives to get onto the end of it, but the delivery eludes him by mere inches! Agonisingly close to a fourth goal for Atletico, which certainly would have put the game to bed.
52'
STAT: Atletico Madrid have kept eight clean sheets in their last 11 home matches in the league, conceding just three goals compared to 32 scored.
50'
NOT THIS TIME! Sandro slips in the run up and smacks his free-kick straight into the wall in a rather poor attempt from the forward to replicate his earlier heroics.
49'
S. Savić gets yellow.
A good break from Malaga and Savic is forced into conceding a free-kick in nearly the same position that Sandro scored from earlier. The Atletico centre-half is booked.
48'
SUPER START! Nearly the hat-trick goal for Gamiero as he weaves his way through a sloppy Malaga defence before carving out a sight of goal, only for Kameni to stand tall and deny him at the near post!
46'
Here we go again...
45' +1
HALF-TIME: ATLETICO MADRID 3-1 MALAGA.
44'
K. Gameiro has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid! Assist by A. Griezmann.
That was a truly delightful assist from Griezmann.
TWO-GOAL LEAD RESTORED! A splendidly cushioned header from Griezmann sends Gameiro through on goal, and he negotiates the beating of Kone before slotting in calmly at the near post. Tidy finish and Atletico are firmly in control again ahead of the interval.
43'
G. Castro gets yellow.
Castro becomes the first player booked in the match.
41'
Into the final five minutes of the first half and it's very much in the balance, when just 10 minutes ago it was looking like Atletico would walk their way to the three points. They have dominated possession and are deserving of their lead, but creativity has been lacking.
39'
STAT: Atletico Madrid saw their 11-match unbeaten run snapped in a 1-0 defeat away to Sevilla last weekend.
37'
BRILLIANT SAVE! A stunning ball over the top from Godin springs Griezmann, who has the goal at his mercy. The Frenchman does so well to bring it down, but he's turned aside quite remarkably at the near post by Kameni!
35'
Atletico have completely switched off since doubling their lead. They got a gift to go 2-0 up, but otherwise have been rather pedestrian in possession. They need to show a bit more urgency or this one could slip away from them.
33'
This has turned into quite the entertaining match as far as goals are concerned, but it's really a misleading scoreline. The 2-1 suggests a back and forth affair with plenty of chances, when in truth every scoring opportunity thus far has been taken.
31'
Sandro Ramírez has scored a goal for Malaga!
Á. Correa enters the game and replaces N. Gaitán.
Correa is brought on to replace Gaitan.
MALAGA HAVE LIFE! A free-kick about five yards from the touchline is thundered into the far corner by Sandro! It's not entirely clear if he was trying to have a shot there, but he will certainly claim he was and you can't blame him for that! What a bullet!
30'
Gaitan has gone down with a knock. He was fine as play carried on, but the ball went into touch and he dropped in a hurry, clutching his hamstring. This will be a worry for Simeone, who will likely get Correa up and running on the touchline just in case.
28'
STAT: Malaga have won just two LaLiga matches away from home in 2016 (D6, L6).
26'
Still plenty of time left here, but it has the feel of a game that's already been wrapped up. Malaga have yet to have a touch in the opposition box, and they have a two-goal deficit to try and overturn. Their away form has been poor and it's not getting any better today.
24'
K. Gameiro has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid!
HORRENDOUS MISTAKE! And Atletico double their lead! Kone with a completely ill-advised header in his own penalty area, thrusting the ball right back into the danger area. Camacho tries to deal with it, but only clears as far as Gameiro, who makes the most of the gift, finishing smartly at the near post.
23'
Better, this, from the hosts. A few inviting balls are played into the box from out wide and finally it's given something for the visitors to think about. They win a corner and the crowd starts to make some noise once again.
21'
Even the crowd is being lulled into a state of comatose. Their side are ahead and it should be cause for celebration, but they're used to more attractive football than this. The Carrasco goal has been the only scoring chance of the evening, and he took it.
19'
STAT: There were a combined two goals scored between these two sides in their head-to-head matches last season, with each side winning their respective home fixture 1-0.
17'
There's hardly any space available in the centre of the pitch for either side. It's quite congested, despite Atletico adopting a good width going forward. This game, despite there being a goal already, is really struggling to come to life.
15'
Malaga enjoy their first prolonged spell in the attacking half, but they can't create much of anything. It's all too comfortable for Atletico in defence as they see aside the threat and break quickly, before Gameiro forces Kameni into a rather comfortable save.
13'
Much of the same here, really very little to discuss as Atletico continue to build patiently on the periphery, while Malaga drop deep in defence. The visitors have remained well-organised off the ball, but all it takes is one little opening as we saw with Carrasco earlier.
11'
The goal has done little to help the tempo of the match, which continues to be played at a walking pace. Atletico dominating possession and Malaga have really had no say in it up to this point. This has been quite poor from the visitors.
9'
STAT: Atletico Madrid won 7-1 over Granada in their last home league match, their largest margin of victory in a LaLiga match at the Calderon since a 7-0 win over Getafe in November 2013. Carrasco scored three and assisted two in the win against Granada.
7'
Y. Carrasco has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid! Assist by A. Griezmann.
Griezmann picks up the assist.
THE MAN IS ON FIRE! Carrasco, with four goals and two assists in his last three matches, takes a pass from Griezmann, bursts beyond his marker in the area and slots home a wonderfully tidy finish at the far post beyond the reach of Kameni!
5'
Successive corners for Atletico result in nothing and Malaga are able to clear the threat. They fail to string more than a few passes together, however, before giving possession straight back to the hosts. No tempo in this match just yet.
3'
Very cagey start to proceedings as the two sides just feel each other out. The first attack comes after three minutes and it's Carrasco who gets on the end of a clever switch of play, but he can't play it back into the centre as Rosales is able to block it behind for a corner.
1'
AND WE'RE OFF! Malaga in their white away strip get us underway, attacking left to right, with Atletico in their red and white stripes.
Hello and welcome to live coverage from the Vicente Calderon as Atletico Madrid try and rebound from their first defeat of the season when they host a Malaga side aiming to pull closer to the top six.
Atletico find themselves at the bottom of the aforementioned pack, despite losing just the one match this season, away to Sevilla last weekend.
It’s wonderfully congested atop the LaLiga table through nine matches, with just three points separating the top five teams.
The pressure is on them to pick up maximum points from their next two league matches, with the Madrid derby looming out of November’s international break.
Malaga stumbled out of the gate this season, failing to win any of their first four, but they have turned the corner since the end of September, with just one defeat from their last five – though their away form continues to suffer.
SUBS: Santos, Anor, Boyko, Duda, En Nesyri, Luis, Ontiveros.
Diego Simeone makes two changes to his side following their 1-0 defeat at Sevilla. Saul comes in for the suspended Koke, while Nico Gaitan replaces Angel Corra on the right.
Juande Ramos makes one change to the Malaga team from their 4-0 win over Leganes. Federico Ricca gets the start at left-back, pushing Juan Carlos into a more advanced role, while Zdravko Kuzmanovic drops to the bench to make room.
Yannick Carrasco opened the scoring after just seven minutes for the hosts, before a Bakary Kone mistake gifted them their second through Kevin Gameiro. Sandro Ramirez pulled one back with a stunning free-kick, but Atletico's dominance paid off as Gameiro's second has restored their two-goal lead as we head into the interval.
That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
Yannick Carrasco and Kevin Gameiro each netted a brace as Diego Simeone's side claim three points, while both sides end the game with 10 men, Stefan Savic and Gonzalo Castro seeing red.
