PSG come back once again, this time through Kurzawa, but the full-back's thumping cross from the byline fails to find a white shirt and is instead pushed away by Vaclik. Nonetheless, that should be that for the visitors.
90' +2
Late chance for PSG! Di Maria flies into the left-hand side of the Basel penalty area on a great run before going one-on-one with Vaclik, but he's unable to beat the goalkeeper with his close-range strike and instead sees it ricochet off the Czech's body and away from danger.
90'
T. Meunier has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by A. Rabiot.
Assist Adrien Rabiot
GOAL! What a strike by Meunier! A looping cross from Rabiot finds Meunier on the edge of the Basel penalty area, and the full-back immediately unleashes a world-class volley with the outside of his boot flies past Vaclik and into the top right-hand corner of the net. What an unbelievable piece of skill!
The fourth official has indicated that there will be three minutes of added time.
88'
L. Kurzawa gets yellow.
Tackles are flying in all over the place, and this time it's Kurzawa who enters the referee's book after a flailing arm ends up catching Steffen as they both battle for the ball.
87'
Fantastic oppotunity for Janko! A wonderful cross is sent into the PSG penalty area and over to Janko at the far post, but a slight touch from Krychowiak puts off the striker and results in him sending his close-range strike just wide of the goal.
86'
M. Verratti gets yellow.
And now Verratti has received a card of his own for a late challenge on Steffen, who was tripped by the Italian as he tried to latch on to a lofted pass down the right wing.
84'
S. Dié gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
RED CARD! Basel are down to 10 men! A late Die challenge sees the midfielder stamp on the foot of Verratti, leaving the referee with no choice but to show the Ivorian his second yellow card of the night. Can PSG make their numerical advantage count?
83'
Jesé enters the game and replaces Lucas Moura.
PSG have made another late change, with Jese coming on to replace Lucas.
82'
Cavani scores, but it's ruled out for offside! Lucas charges down the left wing and penetrates the penalty area before cutting the ball back to Di Maria, who then knocks it forward to Cavani. The striker is completely unmarked in front of goal, but he's several yards offside and the linesman's flag is immediately raised as he flicks the ball into the back of the net.
80'
What a chance for Meunier! The Belgian gets himself into a great position in front of goal and latches on to a bouncing cross from Di Maria, but, somehow, he's unable to hit the target with his close-range, side-footed strike.
Minute
Description
79'
Lucas steps up and unleashes a thumping shot from the resulting free-kick, but it's sent too near to Vaclik and the goalkeeper is easily able to push the effort away from danger with a diving save.
78'
S. Dié gets yellow.
PSG immediately push forward from the restart and Lucas does well to get himself into a good position over on the left wing, but he's brought down from behind by Die and the midfielder gives away a free-kick in a dangerous position before being shown a yellow card. Can the visitors make it count?
77'
A. Rabiot enters the game and replaces B. Matuidi.
PSG have made their second substitution of the night, with Matuidi making way for Rabiot.
76'
L. Zuffi has scored a goal for Basel! Assist by T. Xhaka.
Assist Taulant Ragip Xhaka
GOAL! Completely against the run of play, Basel have equalised! Zuffi picks up the ball unopposed over on the right flank and immediately sends a cross-cum-shot into the penalty area. Areola is off his line and backpedals as he tries to deal with the substitute's effort, but the ball ends up flying over his head and into the back of the net. Extraordinary!
75'
Chance for Motta! PSG win themselves a corner over on the right flank and it's curled by Di Maria right on to the head of Motta, who is in a great position in front of goal but can't hit the target with his glancing effort on goal.
73'
A determined run down the left wing from Bjarnason results in a corner for Basel. It's thumped into the middle of the PSG box and only half cleared by the visitors, but Traore's follow-up shot is poorly hit and sails comfortably wide of the far post and out for a goal-kick.
72'
Basel work the ball around nicely again before Sporar is set up on the edge of the PSG penalty area, but the striker's first touch is slightly too heavy and he's unable to get a shot away before he's dispossessed by Verratti.
71'
Basel finally find some joy deep inside the PSG half of the pitch thanks to good play on either flank, but a promising attacking move is eventually brought to a disappointing end by Suchy, who sends a poor pass out of play for a throw-in.
69'
A. Šporar enters the game and replaces Omar Gaber.
Gaber, who has been struggling with a slight injury over the past 10 minutes, makes way for Sporar in Basel's final change of the night.
68'
It's all PSG at the moment, who are comfortbaly managing to hold on to possession as they try to find a second goal that would all but wrap up the win. Basel have barely troubled the visitors since the break, with Krychowiak, who is acting as a makeshift centre-back, not being tested at all.
66'
Kurzawa flies down the left wing on a great run and penetrates the Basel penalty area before trying to cut the ball back to a teammate, but there's nobody there to meet it and, in the end, the home side are able to thump the ball back up the pitch.
64'
Chance for Di Maria! The Argentine links up well with Verratti after Traore makes a mistake and does well to get a shot away from close range, but he scuffs his strike slightly and makes life too easy for Vaclik, who is easily able to deal with the danger.
63'
Di Maria charges into the right-hand side of the Basel box as he tries to latch on to a clever ball forward, but he's out-muscled well by Balanta before Vaclik collects the ball at the vital moment.
61'
Matuidi is brought crashing to the ground by a hefty challenge from Die, who gives away a free-kick in a dangerous position over on the left wing. It's taken short and sent to Verratti, who then lifts a lofted pass into the penalty area, but Suchy is there to comfortably clear the danger.
59'
M. Janko enters the game and replaces S. Doumbia.
L. Zuffi enters the game and replaces M. Delgado.
Chance for Kurzawa! The first PSG corner fails to result in a chance on goal for the visitors, but the second finds Kurzawa and the full-back's close-range headed effort ends up bouncing just wide of the far post.
Basel have decided to make a double substitution. The first player to come on is Zuffi, who replaces Delgado. The captain hasn't been moving too well over the past five minutes and looks to have picked up an injury.
And the second player to be introduced is Janko, who takes the place of Doumbia, who saw little of the ball tonight.
58'
A low cross from the left wing finds Lucas on the edge of the Basel box, and the Brazilian immediately pokes a pass into the path of Cavani. The Uruguayan is in a great position in front of goal and immediately unleashes a shot, but his effort is deflected wide of the goal by a vital block from Gaber.
56'
Meunier breaks into the right-hand side of the Basel penalty area as he tries to latch on to a lofted pass forward from Di Maria. He's unable to do so, but a poor touch from Balanta results in a corner for PSG. Di Maria steps up and curls a deep cross towards the far post, but it's slightly overhit by the Argentine and fails to find a white shirt.
54'
Di Maria, who has looked lively since the break, picks up the ball in a dangerous position once again before trying to tee up Cavani on the edge of the Basel box, but just as the ball is about to reach the striker it's pounced upon by Traore, who cuts out the danger at the vital moment.
52'
Lovely play by Verratti sets up Di Maria, who then flies through the middle of the pitch on a great run. The Argentine heads towards the Basel penalty area before teeing up Meunier, who had made a great run down the right flank, but the full-back's first-time strike is poor and sails straight into the hands of Vaclik in the middle of the goal.
51'
Di Maria breaks into the right-hand side of the Basel box before trying to tee up Cavani, but his low cross is deflected out of play for a corner. The Argentine steps up and curls a dangerous cross into the penalty area that eventually finds Motta, but the midfielder's headed effort ends up landing on the roof of the net.
49'
A half-hearted Basel attacking move breaks down and PSG tried to break forward quickly once again, but this time a lofted pass forward from Di Maria is poor and fails to find a teammate before rolling out of play for a goal-kick.
47'
Early chance for PSG! Cavani breaks forward quickly before sending a deflected pass right on to the boot of Lucas, but the Brazilian's thumping volley fails to beat Vaclik and is pushed away by the Basel goalkeeper.
46'
G. Krychowiak enters the game and replaces Thiago Silva.
PSG have made one substitution during the half-time break, with Silva, who picked up an injury towards the end of the first half, making way for Krychowiak. It looks as if the Poland international is going to go straight into the heart of the defence.
And we're underway once again!
45' +2
R. Steffen gets yellow.
It's kicking off inside the PSG box! A looping cross from the left flank flies into the penalty area but is easily collected by Areola. The goalkeeper is clattered into by Steffen and doesn't seem too happy with the Basel winger, who then reacts angrily and lashes out, resulting in a yellow card for the midfielder.
45'
The fourth official has indicated that there will be two minutes of added time.
44'
Basel quickly push forward from the restart as they try to find a way back into the game before half-time, but, after doing well to get forward, Xhaka is closed down deep down the right wing and is dispossessed before he can swing a cross into the PSG penalty area.
43'
B. Matuidi has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by T. Meunier.
GOAL! PSG have taken the lead! The visitors win themselves a corner, and it's whipped into a dangerous position inside the Basel penalty area. The home side fail to clear the danger fully and allow Meunier to pick it up on the edge of the box, and the full-back's scrappy first-time shot ends up deflected off the thigh of Matuidi and into the back of the net from close range.
I'm not sure whether or not Meunier was trying to pick out Matuidi, but it looked as if he was going for the bottom left-hand corner of the net. Either way, the Frenchman did well to put his side into the lead with a clever flick.
41'
After spending a couple of minutes reaching medical treatment on the pitch, Silva is able to get back to his feet as the game gets underway once again. Lucas quickly gets forward and penetrates the Basel half of the pitch before being bundled to the ground by Die, and PSG are awarded a free-kick that they decided to send short.
39'
Ouch! Basel win themselves a free-kick over on the left wing, and it's flung into a dangerous position in the heart of the PSG penalty area. Areola charges out to deal with the danger but ends up clattering into Silva, who is left in a heap on the floor and in serious discomfort as Steffen fires a half-volleyed strike a few yards wide of the near post.
37'
A beautiful lofted pass from Silva flies over the top of the Basel defence and into the path of Di Maria, who immediately forces Vaclik into making a smart diving save. However, just as the ball trickles inches wide of the far post, the linesman's flag is raised, despite replays showing that the Argentine had timed his run to perfection.
36'
Poor from Delgado! Basel hit PSG on a great counter-attack down the right flank, with Gaber and Die doing well to get forward so quickly. The latter sends a bouncing cross into the middle of the penalty area that Motta can only clear as far as Delgado, but the captain completely scuffs his shot well wide of the goal.
34'
Doumbia is dispossessed on the halfway llne and PSG immediately fly forward through Verratti. The Italian charges towards the edge of the Basel box before teeing up Di Maria to his right, but the Argentine's effort is deflected off the outstretched leg of Traore and out for a corner.
32'
A long series of passes in the middle of the pitch looks as if it's going to end well for Basel, but they end up losing possession on the halfway line and allow Di Maria to burst forward. The Argentine initially does well to beat two players as he heads down the right flank on a determined run, but he ends up running the ball out of play at the last moment and gives away a throw-in.
30'
Bjarnason cuts inside from the right flank before teeing up Delgado, and, luckily for the Argentine, his weak and erratic effort from long-range ends up taking a slight touch off Marquinhos that sends the ball out for a corner. The set-piece fails to cause PSG any problems, however, the home side are unable to take advantage of a rare chance inside the final third of the pitch.
28'
Meunier skips past Steffen deep down the right flank and cuts into the penalty area before firing a low cross over to Cavani, but just as it looks as if the Uruguayan is going to poke the ball into the back of the net from close range, Suchy sticks out a foot to stop him from reaching it.
27'
After failing to find a way through the wall of Basel players camped in front of him, Di Maria eventually launches a lovely lofted pass into the hosts' penalty area. It finds Cavani in a promising position, but the striker is unable to pick out a teammate with his header and Traore comfortably deals with the danger.
25'
Bjarnason picks up a loose ball over on the right flank as is left in enough space to curl a cross into the middle of the PSG penalty area, where it finds Steffen. The winger rises high and does well to meet the ball before sending a headed effort towards goal, but there's slightly too much power behind it and it ends up landing on the roof of the net.
23'
Cavani scores, but it's ruled out for offside! Di Maria chips a lovely lofted pass over the top of the Basel defence and into the path of Matuidi over on the left-hand side of the box. The Frenchman darts forward and does well to keep the ball in play before firing a cross past Vaclik and into the path of Cavani, but as soon as the striker pokes the ball into the back of the empty net, the linesman's flag is raised.
21'
And now Verratti goes close! The Italian, who has been pulling the strings for PSG thus far, links up well with Lucas before firing a strike from 20 yards out, but the ball bobbles up slightly just as he hits it and, as a result, his effort fails to trouble Vaclik.
20'
What a chance for Cavani! Xhaka loses possession in the middle of the pitch and gifts the ball to Verratti. The Italian breaks forward on a lovely run before threading an even better through-ball into the path of Cavani, but, with only Vaclik to beat, the Uruguayan ends up chipping a shot over the top of the crossbar. He really should have buried that!
18'
It's been a frustrating opening 18 minutes for PSG, who have enjoyed over 70% of the possession but have nothing to show for it. They push forward on yet another attack down the left wing through Lucas and Matuidi, but a pass from the latter is poor and rolls harmlessly out of play for a Basel throw-in.
16'
Meunier charges down the right wing on a marauding run before swinging a cross into the heart of the penalty area, where it flies just over the head of Cavani before being knocked out for a corner by Gaber. The resulting set-piece is fired towards the penalty spot and finds Motta, but the midfielder's headed effort fails to hit the target.
14'
A PSG attacking move breaks down and Basel push forward on an attack of their own. The home side do well to work the ball over to Gaber, who then swings a dangerous low cross over to the far post, where it finds Delgado. The Argentine is in a pocket of space and immediately gets a shot away, but it fails to beat Areola at the near post.
12'
As expected, PSG are dominating possession as Basel sit deep inside their own half of the pitch. The visitors are struggling to do much with the ball, however, as the hosts are doing well to close down the space available to their opponents with plenty of compact and well-organised defensive work.
10'
A few hefty challenges disrupt the flow of the game, and the final tackle leaves Cavani in a heap on the floor after being clattered into by Suchy. PSG send the resulting free-kick short before Lucas muscles his way through the middle of the pitch an works the ball over to Matuidi, but the Frenchman is quickly closed down by Basel players and is forced into playing the ball all the way back to the halfway line.
8'
Delgado is brought crashing to the ground by Motta over on the left wing, resulting in a free-kick for Basel in an advantageous position. They decide to send it short before a lofted pass is fired up the pitch and into the path of Doumbia, but the striker is beaten to the ball and fails to meet it on the edge of the penalty area.
6'
A thumped pass is sent deep down the right flank where Gaber is darting down the pitch in an attempt to latch on to it. The Egyptian does well to keep the ball in play before swinging a volleyed cross into the middle of the PSG box, but there isn't enough power behind it to beat Kurzawa.
4'
PSG win themselves a free-kick in the middle of the pitch, and Di Maria quickly takes it as he tries to take the Basel defence by surprise. He launches a lofted pass over the top of the hosts' back line and into Cavani, who is completely alone in front of goal, but the striker's run forward is slightly mistimed and the linesman's flag is quickly raised as a result.
2'
After dominating the ball for the opening two minutes, PSG lose it in the middle of the pitch and allow Basel to break forward quickly. Die charges down the right flank and cuts inside before trying to pick out Delgado on the edge of the penalty area, but his low pass is poor and fails to find the Argentine.

And we're off! Basel get us underway, attacking from left to right.
Good evening and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Champions League group stage game between Basel and Paris Saint-Germain at St. Jakob Park.
After suffering a lacklustre month-long period between the ends of August and September in which they won just two out of six games in all competitions, PSG head to Switzerland in impressive form and with five wins from their last six outings. They remain in third place in the Ligue 1 table, however, but another victory tonight will all but confirm their place in the last-16 of the Champions League.
As many predicted before the competition got underway, Ludogorets and Basel have proved to be the minnows of Group A, and that was certainly the case at the Parc des Princes two weeks ago. PSG comfortably beat tonight’s hosts in what was an easy 3-0 win, and they’ll be looking to recreate that good performance here this evening ahead of what is sure to be a tough clash against Arsenal.
A record of two defeats and a draw means that Basel’s hopes of reaching the knockout stage of the tournament have all but extinguished, leaving them in a direct battle with Ludogorets, who were thumped 6-0 by Arsenal in their last outing, for a place in the Europa League.
Both sides have just one point thus far, meaning that this month’s clash between the two could decide who finishes bottom of the group. An unlikely point (or possibly even three) here tonight would set Basel up perfectly for that encounter, all but ensuring that they head into the battle with the upper hand.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this evening…
Paris Saint-Germain substitutes: Trapp, Maxwell, Krychowiak, Rabiot, Pastore, Ben Arfa, Jese.
Paris Saint-Germain XI (4-3-3): Areola; Meunier, Marquinhos, Silva, Kurzawa; Verratti, Motta, Matuidi; Lucas, Cavani, Di Maria.
Urs Fischer has decided to make two changes to the Basel side that started the victory away to Grasshopper on the weekend, with Omar Gaber and Renato Steffen coming into the starting line-up to replace Michael Lang and Davide Calla, respectively.
Meanwhile, PSG boss Unai Emery has named an unchanged side to the one that featured against Lille in their last outing, with Lucas Moura, Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria once again leading the line in a 4-3-3 formation.
The two sides are making their way out on to the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: BASEL 0-1 PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN
It was a relatively frustrating first half for PSG, but they nontheless head into the half-time break with a one-goal lead thanks to a late Matuidi goal. Basel had done well up until then to keep the visitors at bay thanks to plenty of compact and well-organised defending, but at the other end of the pitch they've struggled to find much joy. Delgado has been presented with two opportunities to test Areola, but both times the captain has failed to hit the target when he really should have done better.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half.
It wasn't the best of performances from PSG, but, thanks to a wonderful strike from Meunier with only a few minutes remaining, the French side were just about able to leave with a win that has confirmed their place in the knockout stage of the competition. The only thing to decide now is who will finish top of Group A, as Arsenal's win against Ludogorets means that both sides currently have 10 points ahead of their clash against one another in three weeks' time.
