An awful throw-in from Barcelona deep inside their own half of the pitch gifts the ball to Sarabia, who then pokes it over to Vitolo. The winger is in a brilliant position on the edge of the Barcelona box, but his shot isn't hit with enough conviction and ends up rolling wide of the near post.

38'
Neymar cuts inside from the left wing and picks out Messi, who is in a pocket of space just outside of the Sevilla penalty area. He takes a quick touch and unleashes a low shot with his left foot, but it's not hit cleanly enough to trouble Rico and ends up flying a few yards wide of the far post.

And we're off!
Good evening and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s La Liga game between Sevilla and Barcelona at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Tonight’s clash brings together two sides that are desperately battling to keep up with Real Madrid, who lead the way for another week thanks to their 3-0 win against minnows Leganes earlier today. Barcelona suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat against Manchester City during the week but have three wins from their last three La Liga games, whilst in-form Sevilla have lost just once all season.
Sevilla’s one defeat - a 3-1 loss away to Athletic Bilbao in mid-September - has been the only disappointment in what has otherwise been an impressive start to life in Seville for Jorge Sampaoli. The Argentine has successfully got his new side playing his brand of exciting, attacking football, and so far it has proven to be tough for teams to deal with.
A minor injury crisis (Gerard Pique, Andres Iniesta, Jordi Alba, Aleix Vidal and Jeremy Mathieu are all unavailable today) has left Barcelona looking slightly frail at the back, and that was on show in their midweek defeat away in the Champions League. The Blaugrana will be looking to bounce back with a win today, as they will be well aware that they can’t afford to drop any points whilst Madrid are comfortably picking up wins.
The two Super Cup contests between the sides back in August ended in 2-0 and 3-0 victories for Barcelona, and today’s visitors certainly have recent history on their side. Sevilla have won just one of the last 17 meetings between the two teams, although they were victorious in last season’s corresponding fixture.
Sevilla substitutes: Sirigu, Ganso, Kranevitter, Correa, Kiyotake, Iborra, Ben Yedder.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this evening…
Barcelona substitutes: Cillessen, Marlon, Rafinha, Nili, Gomes, Turan, Alcacer.
Barcelona XI (4-3-3): Ter Stegen; Roberto, Mascherano, Umtiti, Digne; Denis Suarez, Busquets, Rakitic; Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar.
Meanwhile, Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has made just one alteration to the team that featured against Manchester City on Tuesday evening, with Andre Gomes making way for Denis Suarez.
Jorge Sampaoli has decided to make three changes to the Sevilla side that started the 4-0 thrashing of Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League during the week, with Daniel Carrico, Samir Nasri and Pablo Sarabia coming into the starting line-up to replace Gabriel Mercado, Matias Kranevitter and Ganso, respectively.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: SEVILLA 1-1 BARCELONA
What an excellent opening 45 minutes of action that was! Both sides have been throwing plenty of bodies forward, with Sevilla looking particularly dangerous in advanced positions. The home side have caused plenty of problems for Barcelona's struggling defence, with Roberto looking particularly fragile over on the right wing. At the other end, Luis Suarez, Neymar and Messi have largely been kept quiet, but the latter of two linked up brilliantly for Barcelona's equaliser, which was a wonderful piece of counter-attacking football.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
FULL-TIME: SEVILLA 1-2 BARCELONA
Boos ring around the stadium as the referee blows his whistle for the final time. The Sevilla fans aren't at all happy with the amount of time added on, particularly as they were just starting to push forward once again. The home side were brilliant in the first half as they continually caused problems for Barcelona, but after the break they struggled to deal with their opponents, who looked far more determined and resolute and, led by an excellent Messi performance, thoroughly impressed in front of goal.
The victory means that Barcelona remain just two points heading into the international break, whilst Sevilla now sit four behind in fifth place. Barcelona are next in action against Malaga, whilst Sevilla face an away game against Deportivo La Coruna.
