The stretcher comes out for Fernandinho, but he clearly doesn't need it, propping right up and walking off under his own power, met by a chorus of boos from the home supporters.
90' +4
Tempers boiling over here as Fernandinho goes down after a coming together with Wickham, and stays there, forcing the City training staff to come back out onto the pitch once again. Wickham is not happy, but surely this time will be added on once again. No end in sight here!
90' +2
The life has been sucked out of this match by City, who are putting on a clinic in how to see out a win here. They looked nowhere near as assured when ahead 1-0, but they're doing their best to make sure history doesn't repeat itself late on here.
90'
There will be four minutes added on at the end of this match. Still plenty of time for a twist in the tale, should there be one.
88'
Plenty of time running off the clock here as Toure goes down in need of attention. Slowly he makes his way off, before grabbing a quick drink of water and trotting right back out onto the pitch, much to the dismay of these Palace supporters. It's all time that should be added on at the end, anyhow.
86'
Fernando enters the game and replaces S. Agüero.
B. Sako enters the game and replaces M. Kelly.
In an attempt to see this one out, Fernando has come on to replace Aguero for the final few minutes.
A final change for Palace sees forward Bakary Sako replace left-back Kelly. Have Palace left it too late here?
85'
STAT: Crystal Palace have lost seven of their last eight Premier League games against Manchester City, winning the other in April 2015.
83'
Y. Touré has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by K. De Bruyne.
A real straightforward delivery from De Bruyne sees him pick up the assist, his league-leading seventh of the season.
YAYA'S FAIRYTALE CONTINUES! All is forgiven, surely! No one picks up Toure in the centre as a corner is played into the area on the ground, and the Ivorian is allowed to roll home the simplest of first-time finishes from five yards! Unbelievable script here at Selhurst Park!
81'
Lee Chung-Yong enters the game and replaces C. Benteke.
Palace's second change sees Chung-Yong Lee replace Benteke.
Minute
Description
78'
C. Wickham gets yellow.
De Bruyne does well to get his body between Wickham and the ball, forcing the striker into a foul, winning his side a free-kick in a threatening position, and seeing Wickham pick up a yellow card as well.
77'
Safe hands from Hennessey! Splendid delivery from De Bruyne to send Zabaleta forward on the right. The right-back has become a fixture on the wing in these last five minutes or so, and he hangs an inviting delivery in once again, but Hennessey does really well to stick with it and pluck it out of the air.
75'
Not much movement on the touchline for City, but you have to wonder why Iheanacho isn't being prepared to come on. Certainly no stranger to the late heroics, the attacker would help so much, if not for anything else, to open up space for Aguero in the centre.
73'
City on top now, as Palace have really changed their approach since equalising. It's far from what these fans want to see, as their side drop back in defence to try and see out the draw, which is poised to set-up a tense final 15 minutes at Selhurst Park.
71'
STAT: David Silva has found the net three times in his last three Premier League games against Crystal Palace, but each of these goals has been at the Etihad Stadium.
69'
Wonderfully poised as we approach the final 20 minutes at Selhurst Park. Palace have to be careful not to grow content with their equaliser and start sitting back to try and protect the draw. They have to maintain their energy levels through to full-time.
67'
David Silva enters the game and replaces Nolito.
Guardiola makes his first change now as Nolito is replaced by David Silva.
66'
C. Wickham has scored a goal for Crystal Palace! Assist by W. Zaha.
Zaha picks up the assist, rewarded for all his hard work tonight.
PALACE PRESSURE PAYS OFF! It's no more than they deserve, and it's a great reward for Pardew as well - vindication for his half-time substitution. Wickham takes a pass and does expertly to open up just a yard of space as he gets beyond Zabaleta, before drilling a strike through Bravo and into the back of the net!
65'
CLEARED OFF THE LINE! Well that's the danger for Palace when they give away possession, because City can be lethal on the break. Aguero gets on the end of a cross and sends a glancing effort towards the far post, but Ward slides in to clear off the line!
64'
Palace remain very much in the ascendency as they ramp up their pursuit of an equaliser. They're sending balls into the box at every opportunity for Benteke to attack, while Pep Guardiola frantically tries to ready a substitution on the touchline, sensing the game slipping out of their grasp.
62'
Nolito gets yellow.
A late trip near the halfway line sees Nolito into the referee's book.
61'
STAT: Manchester City have kept a clean sheet in five of their last six Premier League fixtures against the Eagles.
59'
City happy to settle for a corner as they get back the other way, one they are in no rush to take. That was an intense period of pressure in which they were rather lucky not to concede, so they are keen to slow the tempo a great deal here as they sense momentum starting to shift.
57'
SAVED AGAIN! Another delivery for Benteke to feast on, and the striker beats two City defenders in the air to get his head to it, but Bravo is up to the task again!
56'
N. Otamendi gets yellow.
SOMEHOW IT STAYS OUT! Cabaye wastes the free-kick yet again, but some hard work in midfield from Zaha sees him win it back. Puncheon orchestrates a terrific move down the left-hand side, beating his marker and floating in an exceptional delivery for Benteke, but the striker sees his emphatic header saved on the line by Bravo before being cleared behind!
Somewhere amidst the chaos, Otamendi picked up a yellow card, the first of the match for either side.
54'
Kelly, keen to make amends for his error that led to the opening goal, puts in some strong running down the left, escaping the challenge of Sterling who was trying to track back, before winning a throw high up the pitch. It's eventually taken and play is switched onto the right for Zaha, who wins a free-kick up against the touchline.
52'
HUGE BREAK FOR PALACE! That's an incredibly naughty challenge from Puncheon behind the play! Zabaleta makes a great run on the back side and Puncheon spots it late. Realising he won't be able to track him, the Palace attacker just sticks out a leg to trip him up behind the play, which goes unnoticed! Had it been spotted, he would surely be off!
50'
STAT: Against no side has Connor Wickham scored more often against in the Premier League than Manchester City (three goals, level with Stoke City).
48'
Wickham has taken up a more central role behind Benteke, where Puncheon had been playing in the first half. Puncheon has moved over to the left now to replace Townsend, where he will perhaps have a bit more success away from Fernandinho, who had been all over him in the first half.
46'
C. Wickham enters the game and replaces A. Townsend.
Back underway in London!
One change at the break for Palace as Connor Wickham replaces Townsend.
45' +3
HALF-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 0-1 MANCHESTER CIY.
45' +2
Hennessey is put into a tough position as a pass-back leaves him with little time to clear his lines, giving possession straight to De Bruyne. City again look to make them pay for the turnover, but some good tracking back from Zaha helps the hosts snuff out the chance.
45'
The injury to Kompany saw a fair bit of time run off the clock, and so we will have three added minutes at the end of this first half as a result.
43'
It's a heartbreaking goal for Palace to concede, with the first shot on target they allowed in the match, but that's the way it's been going for them of late. One mistake, this one from Kelly to give away possession at the back, and they're punished dearly for it, at the end of a half in which they have quite arguably been the better side.
41'
STAT: If games ended at half-time this season in the Premier League, Crystal Palace would be bottom of the league with six points.
39'
Y. Touré has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by Nolito.
Nolito provides the assist.
BACK IN THE FOLD AND AMONGST THE GOALS! All is forgiven as Yaya Toure, in his first league appearance of the season, plays a delightful one-two with Nolito, before hammering a finish into the top corner from 15 yards! He sure is a sight for sore eyes.
37'
P. Zabaleta enters the game and replaces V. Kompany.
Play resumes with City down a man, as Pablo Zabaleta readies himself on the touchline. Palace squander another set-piece opportunity, and as the ball goes out of play, the Argentine is free to trot on and fill the void left in defence. For the moment at least, it's actually Sagna who moves to centre-half, with Zabaleta playing on the right.
35'
Kompany has gone down again, this time on his own accord, forcing play to be brought to a halt yet again. He still looks a bit foggy, but at the training staff comes back out, it appears as though they're looking closely at his shoulder. Either way, he's been forced off here, making his way to the touchline with a shake of the head. You hate to see this, with a player who has struggled so much with injury over the last couple of years.
33'
MUCH BETTER! That's a lot more like it from City, with Kolarov putting in some excellent work in down the left. He gets goal-side of Zaha and offers up a delicious ball for Aguero to attack, but the striker can't direct an effort on target as it came into him at an awkward height! That's his first real involvement in the match.
31'
STAT: Crystal Palace have gone 16 league games without keeping a clean sheet in the Premier League, last doing so against Everton in April.
29'
Play resumes and after less than a minute, Kompany is back out on the pitch. It's good to see for the player and for City, but this is exactly the sort of thing the league is trying to prevent. There's been a real emphasis on taking precautions with head injuries, so surely Kompany should have to be looked at closer before being allowed to trot back out?
27'
Scary coming together, that, between goalkeeper and defender. Kompany is attended to by the training staff as he slowly props up from the ground, but does look very weary eyed as he gingerly makes his way off the pitch. He surely has to be monitored for a concussion.
25'
OUCH! Puncheon gives chase to a ball over the top, and Kompany loses sight of him. The centre-half is caught in two minds as he tries to snuff out the chance, but also doesn't know if Bravo will arrive first. Bravo does get there ahead of everyone and collides dangerously with Kompany, who takes a nasty blow to the head before going down in a heap.
23'
This is all rather pedestrian from City, as they struggle to get a stranglehold in the match. They look lethargic and uninspired in possession, which has seen them play out the first quarter of the match without so much as an attempt at goal. They simply have to be better.
21'
Disappointing for Palace who squander a good opportunity to test Bravo from a set-piece. The delivery is played short in the end, but still remains promising with Ward running into plenty of space out wide on the overlap, but Zaha fails to spot him before being dispossessed.
19'
SMARTLY DONE! Dazzling footwork by Sterling who has Kelly mesmerised on the flank before blazing past him and into the area. He unselfishly tries to thread a pass through to Nolito at the far post, but Ward reads it exceptionally, stepping in to clear at the vital moment!
17'
STAT: Alan Pardew has lost each of his last four games as Palace manager in the Premier League, the third time this has happened as boss of the Eagles.
15'
It's Palace who have been on top in this match, if only by the slightest of margins. Still, this start will certainly go a long way in instilling a bit of confidence in a side that has dropped their last four, while having very much an adverse effect on City, in a bit of a skid themselves coming into the match.
13'
The bulk of possession has been contained in midfield, but when either of these sides do get the chance to push forward, they're often finding themselves outnumbered. The wide players from both teams have been so committed to defending, tracking back to great effect up to this point.
11'
Great cover from Fernandinho! That's a stunning bit of defensive work from the midfielder who tracks back and steps in at the vital moment to intercept and deny Zaha a clear shooting chance inside the area, after the winger negotiated the beating of Kolarov quite exquisitely.
9'
We still await the first chance of the afternoon, in what has started as a very cagey match. Both teams have organised themselves well in defence, while they seem to be lacking that extra bit of creativity in possession in these early stages.
7'
STAT: Only Mesut Ozil (19) has assisted more goals than De Bruyne since the Belgian’s debut for Manchester City – against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in September 2015 (15).
5'
The visitors are only just starting to get their footing, but it's all been rather pedestrian from them thus far in possession, with too many passes going astray in the final third. In midfield it's all comfortable for them, with Toure and Fernandinho pulling the strings.
3'
Fernandinho is a bit lucky to escape a booking following an incredibly cynical challenge on Puncheon. It's come so early, which is really the only reason for the referee to show leniency there. It allows Palace to provide a bit of early pressure, nonetheless, though it comes to nothing as City usher aside the threat.
1'
AND WE'RE OFF! City get us underway, attacking right to left.
Hello and welcome to live coverage from Selhurst Park in London for the return of the Premier League as Crystal Palace play host to Manchester City!
The final international break of 2016 is behind us, meaning domestic play is back in the spotlight for the remainder of the year. The fixture list is heating up as the first half of the season enters its final month.
Manchester City have their sights set on another title this season, but currently trail leaders Liverpool by two points and second-place Chelsea by one.
Pep Guardiola’s side have had their work cut out for them with a busy Champions League schedule deterring their attention from domestic duties, something Liverpool and Chelsea have not had to deal with – a distinct advantage for the Reds and Blues, but City aren’t looking to make excuses.
Crystal Palace are in the midst of a terrible run of form. The international break may have come at just the right time for them as they got an extra week to work out the kinks and right the ship.
The Eagles are hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone, just a point up on Hull City for the time being. Scoring goals hasn’t been an issue for them, but they’re shipping far too many at the back, and it won’t get any easy with high-flying City in town.
MANCHESTER CITY (4-5-1): Bravo; Sagna, Kompany, Otamendi, Kolarov; Sterling, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Toure, Nolito; Aguero.
Two changes for Alan Pardew coming out of the international break as they look to halt a four-match skid. Wayne Hennessey is recalled with Steve Mandanda sidelined for a couple of weeks with a knee injury, while James Tomkins comes into defence at the expense of Damien Delaney, who drops to the bench.
Pep Guardiola, a bit desperate for a league win here, had made six changes to his side from the draw with Middlesbrough, which includes the return of Yaya Toure from the abyss. The Ivorian fell out of favour with the manager following his agent's comments, but he has issued an apology and is set to make his first appearance of the season today, replacing Ilkay Gundogan.
Bacary Sagna, Nicolas Otamendi and Vincent Kompany come into defence at the expense of Pablo Zabaleta, John Stones and Gael Clichy, while Raheem Sterling and Nolito are selected to flank striker Sergio Aguero, with Jesus Navas and David Silva dropped to the bench.
Just one shot on target, combined, through 45 minutes, and it's resulted in the opening goal for Manchester City as Yaya Toure has provided them with the lead headed into the interval, at the end of a rather pedestrian first half at Selhurst Park.
Yaya Toure is back in the good graces of Pep Guardiola as he nets a brace in his first Premier League appearance of the season to help the Citizens get back to their winning ways. The Ivorian opened the scoring late in the first half, and was gifted a simple winner in the final 10 minutes after Connor Wickham had equalised for Palace.
Five defeats in a row now for Alan Pardew's side, while City move into a temporary share of top spot in the Premier League, level on points with Liverpool who were held to a draw at Southampton. That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
